The Fox and The Lion

Honestly it was of little surprise to Daiyu that her compatriates were more interested in partaking of the more forward and blunt aggressions required of them. No matter. If they drew attention to themselves it made more shadows for her to work her own machinations. The so-called Isle of Beginnings provided more than enough alternatives to disrupt the stable flow of life upon it. Several what had seemed to be inportant locations around the Carmina Gadelica Marina.

Alas, she had found the nearby peko ranch closed up, and oddly enough the local training academy also oddly quiet. Why would their trainers shut down when there was potential war to be fought? Or maybe all it's students had already been dispatched for potential defense maneuvers... hmmf. Whatever. She could investigate more closely later.

Prowling around the route out of the Port she eventually came upon one of the traders still trying to move goods despite the deminished activities. A spell to rise stone spikes from the ground to break one of the wheels was enough to disable the wagon. While the men investigated the wheel the woman in Chinese-style attire had jumped atop the wagon, picked open one of the containers and peered inside... only to recoil in a look of disgust and hold her nose. "What is this wretched filth?!" A swat of an arm knocked the box over, spilling coffea grinds across the back of the wagon. "All these trade goods and no proper tea leaves? What kind of barbarians are you people!"

The outburst gets the attention of the trader's guards, who draw their weapons... and then the tips of their spears falls off, sliced clean from the haft by the bladed tessen that the woman then draws back to near her face as one would normally hold a handfan. "Now now, put those paltry sticks away."

Giganpor had decided to head back to Ninetails. And well, he had been lucky so far. No encounters with Palace Landers since he returned to Yamato. Even then, he was curiously staying out of the way. At least... until now.

The sound of something going on had attracted the Grandeur officer. Especially as far as he knew, this was just a trade route he was travelling on. The first sign of him is the curious inducing blue glow from his cloak, shading the red-black of the scaled armor a bit deeper red, almost purple hue. At least until he sees what is going on.

And hears on it, too. "I would keep them out if I was you, gentlemen, and get moving while you are at it."

He says by way of announcing his presence. "And we do not exactly drink tea often. The Ninetails has some respectable tea farms. You just happened to find coffea instead. I would say the Fourlands might also have a nice selection as well. We are still working on it in Eastal at times." He comments off hand.

Sticks are still dangerous even without spearheads, but the woman still glances aside a moment when a new voice reachs her ears. "Well now what be this? A lone Adventurer come at the laborers' time of peril?" Idly she taps the fan against her chin. "Not the most distinct beginning to a tale, but we work with the materials we have... And your input is duely noted." She does look the new arrival up and down, eyes scrutinizing behind the spectacles upon the bridge of her nose.

Then jumps from the wagon with a dramatic flip to the ground. The guards turn, only for one to get a sidekick in the gut to knock him into the other and both against the side of the wagon near where the trader was still fussing with the wheel. A second tessen is drawn from within sleeve in her other hand, remaining closed as she points it at Giganpor. "Denial of supplies in dawn of rising war would be a terrible setback for your defences. Come and intervene." Eyes narrow as a shimmer gleams across the spectacle lenses. "If you dare."

Giganpor frowns as he approaches slow, then calls out, "Seeds placed, bloom and flow! Come forth, Basalt!"

At the same time, he rushes forward as he shifts forms in mid-stride, passing through the summoning circle at the same time as his plant-like wolf summons comes out, "Basalt, Snakebite!"

The charging were-lion, who has bulked up suddenly a bit more in height, charges forward and tries to literally slash at her with a claw covered hand in an attempt to drive her away from the guards.

And at the same time, that plant wolf shoots vines into the dirt, that quickly reappear as they try to strike at her and force her at least to get away from the obvious poison vine snakes!

The woman tilts her head as the botanical wolf is summoned. "Interesting." She slides a foot back to brace herself as the large warrior charges.. but her tactics swiftly change when the snake-like vines burst out of the ground. One manages to snap onto her ankle, which she quickly yanks free. Stares at Giganpor charging. He comes in, striking with his claws!.. and only catchs air as the woman seems to no longer be there, only a shadow briefly lingering in her wake. While not technically a teleport the movement is with such distortive speed it could be easily mistaken for such.

At the same time she shifts, and what hits the ground behind him are not feet but deft, nearly silent paws for a moment before launching into the air. Multiple tails flare behind her for counterbalance as she brings the one tessen, brimming with enchantments of earth and darkness, in a powerful downward slash at the lion-man!

Then quickly steps back, bringing one arm up across her chest in a ready protective stance, the other held aside in preperation to strike again. Looks like he found another Were Fang, a manner of multi-tailed fox woman.

That might actually sound familiar. Depends how much Estelle spoke of the other fox that kicked her tails.

Giganpor's wild slash and the vines work as he puts some distance it seems. Then the disappearing woman has him turning, even as the plant-wolf gives a bark. It disappears into a summoning circle as Giganpor catches the fan on the insect-like buckler on his arm. It still causes some injury as a red line appears on his shoulder.

"Ah, the one who attacked Estelle, at a guess?" He asks.

Then he spins the pole axe as he tries to catch her with the bladed end, followed by his spinning full body and attempting to catch her with the hammer end instead.

The lion based were-fang eyes her, "You are from the Palace Lands, are you not? Why are you doing this? Is it because of the Wave that the Scale caused?"

"I have crossed figurative blades with the astrological kitsune, yes." Daiyu confirms with a brief nod. She uses her stance to turn and face Giganpor sideways, so the spike swipes across her upper arm and leaves one of the red damage lines. Though this one flickers in the manner of 'Bleeding' status effect. A minor annoyance. Especially when her quick paws dart her nimbly away from the more powerful spinning swing with the proper head of the hammer.

"Do they not realize what they unleash upon others? Or simply not care? It is terrible..." Then a short, almost yipping chuckle follows. "But in the end it matters not who causes the chaos and ruin. One group is just as able as another..." She spins around, the tips of her tails briefly glowing with frosty colors before releasing a powerful bitter blast of frigid wind in the wake.

"The attempts to push your goods and culture upon us while taking ours for your own gain would of caused just as much chaos." The spinning move gives her the extra bit of momentum to launch herself back at Giganpor with another slashing slice of her tessen, this time rippling with the ichor of dark magics. "Disrupting the delecate economic balance of the Kingdoms and the way of peoples' livelihoods!"

Giganpor growls, "And you put us with them instantly!"

His shield's glow shifts to a bright blue. The icey rain is met with a barrier of frost that explodes outwards, leaving a frozen field around him even as the other were fang charges over it.

And that is met by his shield as he pushes to slide himself away along the ice. "Not everyone is doing that! Some of us are trying to preserve things the best we can! I honestly want to see the Waves stopped! You have seen one, we have seen nine others before this! All caused by the same people! The same insanity! It even has ones like us from another world possibly!"

Giganpor plants his pole axe to slow his slide before taking a stance again with the pole axe ready. He's not attacking this time at least, but is looking for openings.

There is a pause. A tilt of the head, sidebangs swaying a little with the motion of the hulijing's head. At lot of what is said is the sort of denials she was expecting. But that last bit does get her attention briefly. Though at the moment there is no way to consider if it is some manner of truth or just attempts at throwing blame elsewhere. So for now it is merely filed away, to be considered at another time not in the heat of battle.

Her opponent favors to fully defend against her combined onslaught of magic and martial combat. Probably a wise strategy... but it is also one that leaves her unaccousted. Other than that bleeding effect, which she ignores in favor of a greater oppritunity.

The force of churning tides charges about her as the hulijing moves to attack again, while at the same time flames crackle off of her tessen. The two opposing elements are spun together as she strikes with a wide spinning slash embuded with both flame and water! It's a technique that is not easy for just anyone to pull off, keeping such contrary forces in play together.

"And yet you cannot grasp why we seek to stop such chaos from coming to infest our own lands?" Amidst the quick movements she has closed and slipped one tessen up her sleeve. And instead drawn a poison laced dagger, which at the end of the spinning strike she tries to shove backhanded into Giganpor's midsection.
Giganpor

The spinning fans cause sparks as Giganpor brings his pole axe around, blocking what he can and red lines scoring across him from those that he misses, along with bursts of the different elements.

"Light of the heavens, bring peace to the land! Come forth, Auris!" Giganpor calls out, then brings his shield suddenly to meet one of the last strikes as it flares with a bright white light. At the same time a summoning circle appears over it as a bird-like light elemental shoots out before circling him and causing him to glow as well. Some of the red lines fade at least, but not a lot and Giganpor is obviously feeling it a bit as he holds himself with his shield facing her.

"Now didn't I just say one or two groups are causing that? Shoot, one even has a leader that regrets it. REGRETS. And here you are not even getting all the facts straight before going after everyone here." He shakes his head, "What a joke."

Then the poisoned dagger lances into his side and he growls before pulling it out. "Poison, huh? Now I see how you beat Estelle."

"We have been told enough to do what we must do." Daiyu's more stoic expression returns. "Though... you have given things worth consideration." She gives him that much. Every little tidbit she can glean, a little more information of what they are potentially up against, that is what she is really here for. "... Not that anything is going to stay my hand in midst of combat." Of course not, that would be too easy.

The dagger is easilly pulled back out, having already done it's job. "I am skilled in the arts of alchemy as well as enchantment, yes." Her tone is mostly neutral, like stating a fact, but there is a hint of pride in the subtlties of her voice.

Air cracks and lightning sparks as the vixen leaps aside abruptly, barely avoiding the surge of divine energy. Eyes are narrowed at the bird-like summon in an accusing manner for a moment, but her attention remains mainly on her adversary. "What worth has regret when they yet do not stop?" The winds continue to whail, echoing her movements as she darts in and makes a series of quick swipes with her tessen.

Meanwhile, having been mostly forgotten once a more formidable foe had the Palace Lander's attention, the trader and his guards have managed to chip away the rock jamming their wheel. It has a missing chunk of rim and a few cracked spokes, but they're not going to risk the time it would take to completely replace it. Instead they get on, and the trader cracks the reigns to get the peko moving again. "Hmff. Hope they enjoy a bumpy ride." Stalling them served an ulterior purpose, she has little other interest in them other than slowing their travel down.
Giganpor
Yamato - 12 - 0 - 0

Giganpor, meanwhile, is rather easily able to fend off the quick swipes. In a way that makes it obvious that he's getting tired of negotiating at the moment. The strikes at met each time with his shield, that forces back the damage and repels it quite nicely. The second one is met with a full on swipe of his shield arm to get some distance as he hops back himself.

The dim glow of the light elemental disappears into a summoning circle before a bright blue glow comes from his shield, "Depths of the ocean, freezing winds! Heed my call! Come forth, Rane!" A serpent-looking water elemental appears this time, swimming up into the air.

Then the very air itself seems to cloud overhead before the elemental sprays water into that cloud. And shows just how painful the earlier icey projects can be. Giganpor meanwhile, winces a bit at the poisoning followed by the healing light from before. He glances towards the retreating merchant before looking back at the fox-lady. "Alright, kitsune, your prey is gone. You going to keep fighting or not?"

Giganpor is keeping his weapon and shield at the ready again, obviously more than prepared to go further in this if he has to.

Interestingly enough while she's displayed plenty of Dark style artes, Daiyu appears to also have some connection to it's opposite as well as she draws some of that divine energy to herself as well, making injury lines fade. Guess this mystical fox has some Yin and Yang alike. At the same time sparks arc around her paws as she darts and weaves to avoid the worst of the bombardment of ice showers.

But then she skids to a stop when Giganpor speaks. Ears flare up briefly, then splay back. For the first time the entire fight Daiyu actually shows a flash of anger, eyes gleaming brightly behind her glasses as she scowls. All four tails bristle and lash behind her in aggitation.

"I AM NOT A KITSUNE!" the fox-lady bellows with such rage that her own voice comes a painfully disruptive assault on the senses. "How HARD is it for people to grasp the concept that just because more than one region has similar aspects amongst certain species that we are NOT identical. I am a Huli'jing. ITS NOT THE EXACT SAME THING!"

Giganpor hit a sore spot, to say the least.

Giganpor brings up his shield, and at least weathers the use of angry shouting woman only for said force to bounce back on her from the shield that pops up.

At least most of it. It still shakes him a bit. And he takes a breath before Rane suddenly sprays water over the head of his pole axe and he swings it around to try to catch her.

The strangeness of it, the axe doesn't even /do/ anything. No harm... well, not to her. Her healing light, however? It tries to wash that away!

The pole axe is spun in hand to put himself back ready.

"You do realize this is the Japanese server and we don't exactly study Chinese mythical creatures, right? Besides, I'm willing to bet people still think I'm some sort of dire lion." He stats with a shrug.

Then he reaches up to rub one of his ears. "Yeesh... so that's what that feels like."
Daiyu

Daiyu's ears lay back farther as some of the force of her own tantrum is reflected back at her. But it doesn't stop her from starting to stalk towards her oppenent, tails continuing to wring about in their aggitation. If Giganpor wanted her attention on him and not the slowly fleeing trader wagon, he's succeeded. Maybe with more effectiveness than he had intended. The aquamancy washes away her charge of healing energies, but doesn't deter her from advancing.

As she stalks closer, there is.. something offputting about it. Like her very presence has become some kind of faunt of subtle yet foul energies. Negative emotions gnawing at the back of one's mind, lingering doubts and stinging regrets. "Enough." Sparks arc, this time between the tips of her tails like furry Jacob's Ladders... until she snaps forward with two of them to slap at Giganpor with the discharge. Followed by another spiraling slash with her enchanted tessens of flame and water, whipping up the counter-elements around herself once more.

There's a small crack as Giganpor slams his shield, now glowing green down into the very earth, edge first as a sudden jutting of stone appears around him. It's enough to save him from most of the onslaught, until he breaks out of it to take a swipe at her with his clawed hand, the pole axe held in his shield hand.

"Oh no. You see, you still don't get it. Some of us like the world as it is. Without the whole modernization or whatever you want to call it from Earth. Shoot, even if they cleared the Tower? I'd stay here if I can." Giganpor states.

"We didn't start this war, but at least point the war at the ones that deserve it! Not the ones who are just trying to make a home without ruining the place!" He shouts back at her.
Daiyu
Yamato - 12 - 0 - 0

The hulijing's spinning motions make it hard to get a direct hit on, though the swipe is enough to push her back as she has to deal with the after-effects of the claw swipe. This time it is again just noted, filed for future reference, and left at no more than a minor inconvenience. It would take too much deterrence from her offensive stance to redraw enough divine energies to contend with it at this point. "Stay here with one less opposing force. So then what? You say you wish not to ruin the world.. but yet how many changes have your people enacted to be more 'at home'? How many alien concepts and wonders have you wrought just to be comfortable? Do not try to tell me your own are as innocent from causing harm as well."

Instead she choices to push her offensive position. A twist on the Sword Arte she's been using, as this time she leaps into the air with the combination of water and fire, spinning like a pinwheel to bring her elementally infused tessen slashing down on the other were fang. While emitting another ear piercing shrieking warcry of sorts as she does so. The vocabulary of bizarre sounds foxes have really comes in handy for some senses splitting disruption tactics!
Giganpor
Yamato - 12 - 0 - 0

"Me?" He asks, then he's having to go on guard. His trusty buckler comes up.

And the shrieking seems to be the real damage dealer. Sensitive cat ears and stuff! But now he's covered in frost again before it explodes off, misting the air this time to force her away so he can get some breathing room. The Lion Were-Fang is eyeing her carefully. "Actually, the only thing I did was join a floor boss in the Tower one time. Otherwise... I've been keeping to myself. I'm a blacksmith. I learned from the Landers throughout a couple of the months. Others, well... I figured out a few things. Others... I try to stop. Because they just keep trying to do things that cause this, like the Tower, or causing people intense pain, or even creating steam ships! I mean, a steam ship!"

The lion man snarls, glaring at her. "Your accusations aren't far from baseless, but in my case I've done my best to stay out of it. I just hate people messing with the Landers. They're the natural people, and without us? Well, they wouldn't have a war going on I bet."
Daiyu
Yamato - 12 - 0 - 0

At the end of her whirlwind of motions Daiyu draws back once more, eyes partially narrowed as she scrutinizes Giganpor behind her spectacles. "I stalled their wagon and fractured their weapons so I could investigate their goods." Pause. "... Okay, and roughed them up a little, but only to keep them from getting between us. From into danger." The fans are folded and tucked away in her sleeves. "The Landers are not our targets... though if some are foolish enough to get in the crossfire, what can be done about it. Even the most careful of warcraft will have casualties."

The foxlady retrieves her parasol from her back. There's a faint shimmer as she again draws light energies to herself to sooth the effects of the claw swipes. "Your Guilds, your Alliances... are a peculiarity. It is yet to be seen if they are a boon or a bane in the course of the greater story." One might even thing she was preparing to stop fighting.

Until the moment she grips the end of the parasol's shaft not to open it, but draw the sword hidden within! It ignites with the same contrasting elements as her tessen did even as she steps forward and makes a wide cutting arc with the weapon... and then follows by trying to stab him with the pointed tip of the closed parasol itself.

Clearly someone has a thing for 'hidden in plain sight' weapons.
Giganpor
Yamato - 12 - 0 - 0

Bringing his shield up, Giganpor again attempts to block, even going so far as to block with the poleaxe. He's not successful, but there's a reason for that it looks like.

The shield blocking and pole axe blocking are hiding his an unfinished pulling out something from his inventory behind his back as he finally hops backwards to get more distance.

Then there's a flying axe at Daiyu. A large flying axe. Likely a single bladed or perhaps double bladed version, and a call from him, "TOMAHAWK BOOMERANG!" Said axe actually even boomerangs back to him. It's definitely not following the laws of physics with that one, as he even sets himself to catch the thing afterwards and still have his defenses ready!
Daiyu
Yamato - 12 - 0 - 0

Ears flare up as Giganpor does that thing some people do when they yell the name of their super special attack technique. Followed by the quick and fluid motion to duck and roll out of the way of the ax being thrown at her, and back onto her feet. "You really shouldn't be so obviou--OWH!" her snide remark cuts off into a yelp as the axe's return trip smacks her in the back of the head with the handle before returning to it's master, and the fox ends up face to the ground for a moment. Mmmf. She mutters something about 'should of realized that was coming' as she rolls over and springs back onto her feet. Considering she does similar with her fans at times... and come to think of it, didn't the lizardman use a similar move but with his shield? Whatever.

She turns and, with sword still in hand, makes a vicious arc in Giganpor's direction once more, just without all the elemental charging this time. Just a quick and precise cut with the weapon itself. "In the end it doesn't matter. Even if you were to somehow sway one with words, the greater course my allies have set upon would not be changed."
Giganpor
Yamato - 12 - 0 - 0

Giganpor, now obviously getting angry, brings his shield up as it bursts into flames with an angry red glare, making her pay for the attempt to stab him even if it does get through to leave him bleeding pixels.

"Now that's just sad." He snarls at her.

"You think that because I only sway one person that it doesn't matter. One person can do so many things. So much that you could only dream of."

He brings his pole axe back around, and this time the hammer head is coming at her. And it's glowing a bright, bright green, "RIDDLE OF STEEL!" The massive weapon, something that she might have noticed is a fully steel weapon by now, actually goes around his body, leaving his hand for a moment as if it was guided into a second arc as he pursues her. The second arc even changes to become a vertical one as he attempts to seemingly leave one hell of a crater where she is.
Giganpor
Yamato - 12 - 0 - 0

Giganpor brings his shield down, leaving his poleaxe for the moment, and a red glow now on the shield itself. He knows he can't block that easily, but what he can do? Make sure it doesn't reach him and makes her pay for it.

And for good measure, there's a sudden seeming shimmer around his armor even as he goes through the motion, "Then listen to the Heaven's Roar!"

And that shimmer suddenly explodes outwards, with a very loud roar. She thought she shouted earlier? The sheer roar coming from where he is makes hers look... feeble. Terrifying in it's own way as if it was roaring just to stop her. The worst effect is the sudden fire wall that springs up and is blasted towards her with the roar itself, seeking to consume her a bit much as it does for the icey rain that comes down on him, with barely anything getting through.

"You ask what I have done, there's an example. And the only reason I even had to make this armor was because the idiots keep going at the Tower. I actually want them to stop. I even armed goblins in that Tower to slow them, to delay them as much as I could and have paid for it quite a bit. Can you say the same?" Giganpor asks as he stands back up, eyeing his health out of the corner of his eye. He knows this might be it for him this time around, but he's sure as hell going to make her pay if she keeps going.
Daiyu
Yamato - 12 - 0 - 0

Daiyu holds up an arm across her face and wraps her tails in front of herself to provide some protection from the tremendous roar and the scorching embers being blasted at her. The position also conveniently shields her face from view for a moment, and look of surprise. "You aided the -Monsters- *against* the Adventurers you disagree with?" What would drive even a person to do such a thing? That's a quandrary that actually makes her wonder for a moment... though, can one really take the word of the enemy? She may have to investigate this later. Such peculiarities in behavoir could be... an issue.

Once the assault is over she recomposes herself, giving her tails a dramatic swish to the side as if sweeping away all the confusing thoughts she just had. A finger is applied to the bridge of her glasses to push them back into place. "As a matter of fact. When the rogue Adventuers tried to take over Kallamore for themselves, I told them they were fools for their brash recklessness and lack of strategic planning. But they tried anyways, thinking they could simply strike down whatever opposed them and take what they wanted. Many paid for it, on all sides of the matter." There's an audible *zzzzng* as the tessen are redrawn and fanned open. "But now we've been given the power to put these rogue elements down, to keep the chaos of the unguided and unruly at bay. To save our Kingdoms.. and to save the Adventurers from themselves, less they bring ruin upon their own and everyone else in their wake!"

Flames roar to life, echoed by the surging of tidal forces. Winds howl as they whip around the Hulijing... and in one swift assault all three forces are brought to bear, in a literal whirling dervish of elementals as she spins and slashes!

Something causes Giganpor to crouch down again. Another summoning circle pops up. This time an ape-like Earth Elemental screams at her as a rock barrier comes up to block the strike.

Then there's the white glow of a healing spell from behind the rocky wall, too! Giganpor smiles a little. "Thanks, Granit."

The ape bangs on it's chest, causing dust to fall before hopping into another summoning circle.

"Seriously? Who's giving you authority to do that?" Giganpor rises up, setting himself again and backing away a bit to give some room. "Because I'd love to see that one. I've got enough problems with a guy called Merek in mine. You should go seek him out sometime. Tends to be a complete, utter idiot."
Daiyu

Daiyu holds up one fan so she can waggle a finger at Giganpor. "Wouldn't you like to know~ .. oh, but that would be revealing the plot much too soon. No one likes spoilers." Followed by her expression flattening a bit at the name mentioned. "Oh, yes, the matyr. Be glad it is only one 'Merek' you have to contend with." A shake of her head, and she brings her tessen back to bear. "Are you going to try to talk me to death, or finish this properly? Submit, or be struck down. For all her foibles the kitsune at least knew when she was bettered."

A little distance seems to not matter much to the wily fox. In a bolt of motion she closes the gap, launching upward with the surging motion of a wave to bring her weapon down in a powerful shattering strike.
Giganpor

Giganpor, for some reason, is VERY persistent. Then he growls as the same move he used earlier to stop her healing is used on him it seems. Or a variation of it.

A fake flash of bright light is used to strengthen his defenses, and the impatience she is displaying has him grinning, "Well, kitsune, not as wise as you seem. Patience, after all, is a nice virtue to have. Try being in a wheelchair a lot of your life. You'll get the idea."

Oh, he dropped the word that seemed to piss her off last time. Intentional, perhaps, but he may have a good reason? Maybe?
Daiyu

Daiyu bristles. Oh now he's doing it intentionally. Claws can be heard scraping against the back of her fan as her hand clenches around it. Maybe she's about to have another fit about it... but then a breath escapes her. Eyes narrow. In a blurr of motion she gets back up in his personal space, though at this point she's being wary of one of those summons popping up. For a moment she gets right up snout to snout with the other Were Fang. "Whatever condition the 'other world' holds you in has no bearing here. Or all you said about making a better life in this world is for not." There is a threatening gleam across the edge of her weapon. "Or mayhaps you are just waiting for me to strike you down while you don't resist, so you can call me evil for doing so. Play victim to rally your allies against the enemy? Oh, we could play out that little arc, we could indeed."

Then after an ominous moment or two the tessen is snapped shut as she draws away. "But no. This... squabble is no place for such theatrics. Your persistance is... to a degree admirable. I will not sway you from the course you choose any more than you would sway me from mine. With a flick of the tails she turns, walking away as she actually takes and opens the parasol this time, resting it upon her shoulder. "Striking you down farther serves no strategic point here." Shadows seems to warp and swell to engulf her, to conceal her actual departure.

Giganpor waits a few minutes, watching, then collapses down to one knee breathing hard. How he kept being able to defend like that he didn't know, but he knows he needs to find some new way to even the odds as he waits for the chimlink to be back up.

Meanwhile, Auris makes an appearance again as it flies around him.

He survived, yes, but barely and it wasn't easy. That was apparent.

Finally he collapses down to the ground and just waits for Auris to get his health back up to something reasonable as he keeps an eye out for monsters.

And mentally, he wonders what she meant about plot and everything else now.
