Mobile Adventurer Super Healer

Yuuki
Castle Eas

Castle Eas has seen a bit of an uptake in travel recently, given the war and actions that the Palace Landers have started taking against Adventurers. With Eas being one of the largest bastion Adventurers have in this part of Yamato, many have been using it as a temporary base, or waystation as they pass through the area. Individuals and parties alike have been offered free lodging in the castle and the village not far away. There's more than enough room, given that all the civilians-the Landers-have been evacuated.

But even though there's not much here to protect anymore, there are still some keen on doing so given its importance, both as an example of what Adventurers can accomplish together and the fact that the headquarters of the Olympus alliance is here.

Yuuki is one such person willing to protect it. In fact right now she is THE person. She has been coordinating various Olympus Adventurers in shoring up the castle and village's defenses in anticipation of a potential attack. In fact she can be seen carrying several planks around, helping to continue the reinforcement of the wooden wall that has sprung up around the village.
Inrit
Castle Eas

Inrit stood out like a weird fairy with glitter wings. Oh wait, that's exactly what he was! He looks kinda confused though, looking almost lost as he wanders over to where the defenses are being set up, clutching his wooden staff to his chest nervously. Inrit wanted to help where he can, but has no idea what's going on or what he can do, so he's just been wandering and looking lost waiting for someone to talk to him first so he can ask if he can help.
Yuuki
Castle Eas

    "WAAAAH! Look out!"

Whoosh! A plank goes sweeping over Inrit's head, unintentionally guided by a stumbling Yuuki who seems to have lost her balance. It's a good thing that Inrit wasn't much taller than he already is, otherwise that would have left a mark!

Yuuki manages to stabilize herself, before breathing a sigh of relief and quickly checking on Inrit, "You okay, kid!?" Initial glances show no signs of red light signifying damage, so he's probably okay. Yuuki laughs and says, "That was close! Didn't think walking with these things would be so har."

Upon closer inspection though, Yuuki notices the lost look on Inrit's face and asks, "Something the matter?"
Inrit
Castle Eas

Inrit would show himself to be quicker than might be expected, ducking and covering his head even if he doesn't need to. Though he would make a small "eep" of alarm as he does, but after standing up straight again, he would nod, letting Yuuki know he's alright. And when asked what's wrong, he'd fidget with his wood staff as his wings flutter slightly.

"Well. Uhm. I wanted to come help. May I? Oh uh, please?" He'd give a slightly forced nervous smile as he waits for the response. He really was out of his element here, but he's trying.
Yuuki
Castle Eas

Yuuki blinks for a moment, then says, "Oh! Okay... Ummm... You any good in construction? The wall still needs some work..." Yuuki looks over Inrit. That's probably a no.

Yuuki spins around, the planks on her shoulder once more sweeping over Inrit's general direction, "If you've got any alchemy or pharmacy, we definitely need a bunch of potions being made." She points towards one of the village houses, which has ominous clouds of various colours rising from its windows.

She then spins around some more, pointing out more into the wilds around the village, "Or some ingredients gathered if herbology is your thing."

Yuuki scratches her head as she thinks, before spinning around once more and pointing in the direction of a nearby pathway through the mounts, "We're working on digging out some moats to restrict enemy movements if Earth or Water magic is more your style."

Yuuki spins back around a final time to face Inrit once more as she asks, "Any of those sound good? What kind of stuff are you into?"
Inrit
Castle Eas

As Yuuki guesses, Inrit knows nothing about construction, well maybe with earth magic, mentioning Pharmacy and potions though gets him to noticeably perk up, but he'd let Yuuki finish, ducking anxiously to be certain he doesn't get whacked by that plank. "I can definitely do potions, do you know how many you need?"
Goldenblade
Castle Eas

Goldenblade is your Construction person, for all intents and purposes. She's been involved with all the repair and refurbishing here at Eas and has done a lot of other building as well. Oh, and 50 years of it in real life. For now, she's just up and taking the air at the start to a new day.
Yuuki
Castle Eas

"How many potions?" Yuuki blinks at the question... She thinks maybe asking for All The Potions is probably too many. Even though you can never have too many potions! But she decides to just go for, "Oh, whatever you're able to help with. We're not exactly in a great situation to be able to, like, actually pay for everything... Except with future favours or the like!"
Uta
Castle Eas

Pharmacy is in high demand, and despite her very busy schedule at the tower, supporting the Clinic of Tolbana during this heavy influx of refugees and her services as a veterinarian for the Monster Menagerie, she makes sure to stop by Eas during her travels.

There has been some tension about the scarcity of ingridients for Healing Potions. The situation wasn't great before the war, and as the war started...

"No trace of Dragonwhisker, Liontail, and Bittersnag anywhere.", Uta blurts out, as she dashes in unannounced from behind a corner, leafing through a clipboard. "Nobody has any idea of where to find Lemonella and Purplebell, and starting this morning, guess what, we need to send someone to look for Skunk's Delight." She sighs. "Honestly, I have potions to prepare. I can't wander around looking for the other healers' cats. Who calls their cat 'Skunk's Delight' anyway?", she wonders with a frown.

"Well, okay, technically it's called a -felin- in this world... same thing."
Inrit
Castle Eas

Inrit would nods to Yuuki before doing the hand gesture to open the menu... Wrong. And again wrong. Then he does it right and seems startled by the menu appearing, but he would stop when he hears Uta, realizing that she probably can make much better use of the herbs!

He'd flutter his wings a few times as he fumbles getting the menu to close too before calling out, "oh hi Uta!" He'd rush towards her as he clicks open a latch on a pouch hanging on a belt around his robe(dress).

"Here, I was going to menu craft healing potions but you can use it better." And he'd show the pouch on his hip has all the basic herbs! Absolutely none of the fancy stuff, and he admittedly isn't the best Pharmacist and absolutely no Herbology knowledge.
Goldenblade
Castle Eas

Goldenblade will drift over to where Uta, Yuuki, and Inrit are talking, and she calls, "Good morning." Or whatever time of day it is? She's been so busy, sleep has been a 'when you can' enterprise. She's less famous as the Castle's Weapons and Armor person, but the fact that the guards are as well-armed as they are is mostly her doing.

She blinks at Uta's query, and says, "That sounds like Pepe le Pew's Girlfriend." She has no idea if kids today know that cartoon. /Her/ kids watched it, so she had to sit through hours of the stuff, though she usually read the newspaper while it was going on. But she learned enough through osmosis to be vaguely familiar.
Yuuki
Castle Eas

Yuuki watches Inrit bounce off in Uta's direction. She glances around for a moment, before noticing a random Olympus Adventurers walking by. Yuuki calls out to him, "Hey! Take these to the wall, would you?" Yuuki haves the large planks she'd be carrying in the Adventurers direction, knocking him over to the ground as he catches the heavy planks. But he'll live!

Yuuki walks over to follow Inrit, curious as to what he had in mind. She waves to Goldenblade along the way, saying, "Good afternoon!" It's definitely not afternoon. Yuuki's just messing with him.
Uta
Castle Eas

"Whose girlfriend, again?" Uta asks, perplexed. She apparently doesn't know the character. Or maybe she forgot.

"Good evening, Yuuki!" Uta, by now utterly confused as to what time of day it should be, she just tosses one out, and hopes for the best.

Uta looks down at Inrit. "Oh. OH. There you are. Hi!", she wiggles her fingers. "Herbs? Good! Herbs are good. Let's see..." She quietly goes over the herbs, pointing at them and naming them one by one. "Basic stuff. But that's scarce as well. It'll do." A short hesitation. "You sure you want to give them up? That looks like an emergency belt. You probably wouldn't want to be herbless in an emergency."

"Well, you wanted to learn Pharmacy, right? This is your opportunity." She swipes her menu open, and materializes a portable set of glass flasks, kept in place by a wooden structure. "Let's go over the basics. The conical one is an Erlenmeyer flask. Prevents liquid spillage and facilitates swirling motions. Useful when you do titrations. Also good for keeping dust out and evaporation in. That's a volumetric flask. Flat bottom, drop-shaped body, long neck, marked. You mostly use it to prepare solutions. That one that looks like a cup but has a little beak is called a Beaker. It's graduated and vaguely cylindrical, but don't confuse it with the graduated cylinder, that's the one over there." She points at a much narrower one off to a side. She goes over the whole equipment, grabs some herbs, if invited, and if not, she'll provide her own, and goes through some basic mixing procedures. "And then, you have to properly homogenize the mixture..."

She pours the contents of the Erlenmeyer into a few glass round-bottom flasks, and she begins to- juggle them?

Yes, she launches into a full-on juggling number, complete with additions of more flasks, putting down a few, walking around, switching juggling patterns, and tossing them higher than usual and spinning in place.
Inrit
Castle Eas

Inrit smiles much more genuinely and nods. "Yeah, I have my magic for emergencies, and besides. Isn't this kinda an emergency anyways?"

Then comes the Pharmacy lesson, which gets an eager nod and attentive blue eyes staring at her. And he's following. Taking mental notes... Until she starts juggling, causing Inrit to initially seem almost nervous, before giggling, clearly amused. "Do I have to learn to juggle too?"
Goldenblade
Castle Eas

Goldenblade will take 'afternoon', from Yuuki. A glance at her wrist shows it's two rivets past a bracer, and she sighs. When will someone invent wristwatches? They can't be that hard, they had mechanical clocks in the middle ages, right? A look up at the sky implies that it's noon, or around noon, or maybe a bit afternoon, as Yuuki says. So much here is like Real Life enough to rely on it, and so much is different, just to be different.

She smirks at Uta, and says, "All before your time." With an amused 'kids today' sigh. As Uta starts juggling her alchemy lesson, she will take a step back and leave her room, though she wonders, "Would a table help?"
Uta
Castle Eas

Uta blinks. "Uh. Er. Oh. OH. No, no, you don't have to do that," she says, and catches each of the stoppered round-bottom flasks as they fall between two different fingers. "I... I am also training as an acrobatic street performer under Rylen, so... to save time, I tend to do things in a way that exercises at least two skills at once. No, no, you just have to shake and stir," she says, and shows inrit how it's done in a more conventional manner. "I find it utterly fascinating how this world works. It was a subject I always found kind of hard and obscure. Memorizing all those medical terms, procedures... and yet, in this world, those of us who have the Pharmacy skill seem to learn at an accelerated rate..."

Uta turns to Goldenblade, "Uh, maybe. But we'd probably need a couple stools as well, to account for..." She looks down at the far shorter Inrit. "...convenience."

As for the clock, Uta has not been asked, but she'd probably guess that, in case they do exist (do they?) they might be too expensive for the average Lander, and while Adventurers don't have access to a date function, can see the time of day in their menu. Not as convenient as a watch, but probably good enough to discourage most of them from developing a mechanical clock?
Goldenblade
Castle Eas

Goldenblade nods about a table and chairs, but since Uta says she's training as an acrobatic street performer also, she'll let Uta continue on with what she's doing. "What -are- you doing?" she asked, having missed that part. "Somethng with potions, obviously... but ..." Of course she's -way- too rooted in her mundane life to understand what goes into the potion thing. The fact that she huffs from her O2 bottle for restoring HP is her own solution, of course.
Uta
Castle Eas

"Oh, I'm making medicine. And practicing street performance. At the same time. You know, squeezing the maximum profit out of your effort," Uta explains to Goldenblade, looking up briefly from her lessons to Inrit. "Well, was. That's probably advanced stuff for Inrit. Gotta go over the basics of Phramacy first." A glance to her student, to make sure he's doing everything fine, and then she asks Goldenblade, "And you, Paula? What are you working on?"
Goldenblade
Castle Eas

Goldenblade nods slowly about making medicine. "That's a good thing, to be sure," she agrees, and smirks about he acrobatics being advanced. "Probably, yeah," she agrees. "Too advanced for me, at any rate." As to what she's working on, she explains, "The Hall of Arts here is our current project. This'll be a bit like Niewschwanstein, more meant as a place of beauty than a fortification. Eas is, overall, a fortress, but there's a very artistic flair to it."
Uta
Castle Eas

"Oh, yes," Uta continues. "The Music Conservatory will hopefully be part of it." She looks at the spot where the place is supposed to be built. "...Assuming they don't raze..." She shakes her head and clenches her fist. "No. No. We shall win this. We-" She turns to Goldenblade and knits her brow in concern. "...shall, right?"
Goldenblade
Castle Eas

Goldenblade smirks at Uta's hesitation, but nods. "Against Chinese and Koreans? Almost certainly. You were smashing them fairly handily when I was a child, it wasn't until the US stepped in that things changed. You've got the resolve to do it, and the spirit to dig deep enough in your heart to make -anything- happen. Anyhow, this is our server now, they might not have liked us invading theirs, but they can damned well get off ours."
Uta
Castle Eas

"...yeah. Yeah!", Uta exclaims, reinvigorated by Goldenblade's speech. "We are going to shake our magical staffs at them," and she does so as she says is, "and t tell them to get off our lawn, like cantakerous old p-" She turns towards Goldenblade in panic. "Sorry, was that insensitive?"
Goldenblade
Castle Eas

Goldenblade hahs to Uta, and says, "Yeah, we'll tell them to get the hell off our lawns!" she affirms, an unrepentant cantankerous old person. "That's what the old folks did when I was seven, too. Kids nowadays are slackers, they never play on people's lawns. I think we're losing that out of the gene pool. I blame parents. And video games. If video games weren't so much fun, kids would spend more time outside."
