Moonlight Mysteries

Kaydon has had a quest pending in his queue for a very long time, one he hasn't really been able to focus on. But with the war raging and the Yamato forces losing ground every day, Kaydon has decided perhaps it's best to finally push the quest forward and see what he can find out.

Asking around had lead him to Miho, who may have the information he was seeking. He had prepared a gift to help butter her up a bit, though had just entered her forge, "Miho, are you home?" He calls out after entering

Miho is indeed home and Kaydon hears barking of a rather large dog. If he thinks back this is clearly one of mine dogs from the old Spinner's Deep. It seems Miho has adopted one of them and soon she can be heard. "Come in." She's resting behind the counter going over a book of some sort. Looks like she might be checking on her accounts. "What can I do for you?"

"I've always been the type to get straight to the point. I need your help." He says, as he pulls a box out of his inventory, "But I don't come empty handed asking for help."

Miho tilt her head with one hand going to one of her horns for a moment "Well I'm all ... horns do tell what do you need." She'll look at the boc her liminal rings seeming to flare up as she does so.

The box contains a handmade knife, one of Kaydon's own designs. Not based on anything like the Ka-BAR he gave her before, this one is custom designed, "I have been asking around, and I have heard you discovered an ancient forge. I need to find one, to see what I can learn." He sets the box down and then steps back, "We need better weapons if we're going to beat the Palace Lands."

Miho will take the knife if allowed to take a look. She'll inspect the weight, blance, it's sharpness and just how Kaydon forged it. She seems to be very quiet and she seems to be far older as she looks this weapon over. She seems to be approiving o the weapon and she says "Aye I have but you understand unless someone is also seeking to learn to not tell anyone where it is. I fear it would be looted and lost to future Smiths to learn from."

"All I want to do is be able to make weapons that we can use to drive the invaders out of our lands." Kaydon says, "I have no intention of looting it and selling it for money. As you can see from that knife, I can make plenty selling these...Even if I still haven't set up my own shop like you have."

He does take some time to admire the layout she has, "Never been the settling down type."

Miho nods "You earned my trust a long time ago Kaydon I'll take you there if you wish to see to learn and the knife it's not bad at all you beenb busy. Oh thanks i didn't travel much before the family's forge if I'm being honest has been ours since before The American Revoultion." She grins at this. "I just need a good forge if i can do my work and spring hammers are easy to port about either you know?"

"Yeah." He replies, "I am painfully aware of how many buildings in some countries have been there longer than mine.." He muses for a moment, "Still, how did you find the place? Like you can show me where it is, but how did you track it down in the first place?"

Miho says "Gigan showed me where it was as he'd found it initally." She noted honestly. "And I wasn't trying to insult you. America done a heck of a lot right and i lived there for nearly a decade. You are all giants ther you know."

Kaydon actually laughs at that, "That's true." He says, with another chuckle, "And I wonder how he found it. Maybe I'll have to ask him sometime.." He muses, "I don't want to interrupt your work but we should set out as soon as possible. I want to try to get something new made before the Palace Lands make their next moves."

Miho says "We should set out in the Morning then you can crash here or rent a room at Hifumi's i bet."

"I'll grab a room." Kaydon says, "Leave you to finish what you need to." He turns to head for the door, "Like I said, keep the knife. It's a gift."

Miho grins "Thank you i will put it to good use." She notes her tail sishes. "You know what lets get a bite at Hifumi's later?"

"Sounds like a plan to me." Kaydon replies as he reaches the door, "I'll see you in a bit. You can let me in on what you're building." He says, giving a wave with one hand before heading out.
