Meet the Landers: Pazuzu

    It's been a while since Yuuki has been on the island. Her focus lately has been on preparing Eas's defenses. Plus with everyone evacuated, food there wasn't as particularly stellar as it usually is. But that's thankfully over (for now) and the recent meeting has given her a good excuse to stop by Crescent Burger before heading back to Eas.

    So it is now that Yuuki sits at a table in the restaurant, burger in hand. She bites down into it and starts chewing, a content look on her face, "Mmmmmm, sho gwood." Maybe she should approach Crescent Moon about setting up a branch in Eas.

"They are quite adequate for a 'street food'." And older looking man remarks, as he sits down across from Yuuki. Dressed in black, Pazuzu always tends to stand out. Between the particular hairstyle, and the tense expression on his face, he's staring at his own 'burger'. He's taken a few bites, but has decided not to have more of it.

"The Absolute Blade." He then remarks.

"I heard that tool you wield afforded a victory at the tenth floor, alongside 'those arrows'." The man remarks, leaning forward a bit to look more closely at her. He's an intense old man. "Yet it is not enough, is it? The challenges you are coming to face - some of them have come to defy you."

    Yuuki still has a mouthful as Pazuzu proceeds to join her unexpectedly. She looks a bit surprised as he begins speaking, but finally manages to swallow the mouthful and say, "Oh hey, Mister Pazuzu!"

    Pazuzu certainly seems well informed. Though that's not really surprising. Yuuki laughs at the mention of the tenth floor, "You heard about that? Yeah, I guess it did help a bit. It does serve me quite well." She pats the sheathed blade currently leaning against the chair beside her.

    But when Pazuzu mentions that it's no longer enough, Yuuki nods along, "One of the downsides of a unique weapon. I can't just up and get a newer, better one. Well... I caaaaaaan get a better, different one. But I don't want to. I've been trying to find ways to make it better but so far no luck." Being a relic and all.

    Yuuki tilts her head a little bit at the mention of challenges. It's true that the difficulty curve is rising, as to be expected of higher and higher levels, which is why she's trying to improve herself even further in a few ways. But she wonders if Pazuzu might know something she doesn't about what's in the future...

    Yuuki decides not to ask about that though. Going in spoiler free tends to be more fun. Instead, Yuuki asks, "Do you have any ideas about it?"

Pazuzu nods his head. "I do." He answers her, when she asks for ideas. "As you said, a Relic such as that isn't something that really advances beyond what it can do. Instead, it reflects the skill of its Wielder." The man answers her, giving her a knowing look. "You're looking for something in the meantime, while you catch up, for your blade to become sharper when you need it to, hmm?"

He pauses for a moment, before he adds; "What if I told you there is such a tool. And right now, it's in the hands of a rather dangerous monster." He proposes, and watches Yuuki to see what her response might be to such a revalation.

    Yuuki doesn't look toooo surprised when she learns that relics reflect the skill of their wielder. After all, Yuuki's been using the Absolute Blade since the Apocalypse, which means level one. If it was a normal weapon, she would have needed to upgrade very early on. But yes there are some situations... Yuuki nods, "There are times where I feel like... Like it's TRYING. But it's just not there yet and it needs a bit of help."

    And then Pazuzu drops the bomb and Yuuki's eyes are immediately sparkling in excitement, "I would be very very eager to find out where this dangerous monster is and then working on ways to beat it!"

Pazuzu seems amused as she brings this up. "Well, you may be rather familiar with it. Or rather, the creature for which it works. When the Goblin Queen reached Eastal, it managed to form a new cadre of Goblins that have been terrorizing the western villages away from Fort Ouph." He explains.

"I figure this is something that can benefit the both of us. I need that risk removed from the Eastal region. And you want this item. A Goblin Lord is wearing it, within a dangerous cave. Go in there, and take it from it." He explains.

"The Goblin Slayer has already been scoping out the place, but it's hard to assail due to just how many Goblins there are. And we really don't need another Karluin."

    Yuuki has been on those Karluin raids. Those were difficult and absolutely packed with goblins. She nods along in agreement, "I'm sure I can wrangle up some folks to help me take care of it." That probably won't be hard, "I know a few people who, like me, are always happy to help by killing some monsters!" That's not a little dark at all.

    Yuuki chinrubs, "A Goblin Lord you say... Sounds dangerous! Do you know what the form of this item might be?"

"It may be a ring or a bangle, some kind of small enough accessory that the Goblin Lord has decided to use it for a nose-ring." The man answers her with a bemused sound. The man then slowly rises up, and puts down a piece of paper with the location mapped out on it.

"Be careful. If you need more details, meet up with the Goblin Slayer. I don't think you'll be able to get to the Goblin Queen and the Dungeon Heart. But it'll be important that you at least take out the various lieutenants in the various chambers." He explains.

    Nose... Ring. Ugh. Yuuki's going to have to make sure to wash it thoroughly.

    Yuuki's given a map. She looks it over briefly before rolling up and slipping into her inventory. She nods along at the advice. She's certainly heard of the famous, or perhaps infamous, Goblin Slayer. And vaguely recalls maybe fighting in a large battle where he too was there. But she's not had a real opportunity to actually meet the man. Might be something to consider.

    "Anyway, thanks for this! I know it'll help you too by clearing out the goblins, but I still owe you for it. So just lemme know if you need something in the future!"
