Meet the Landers: Yoru

Giganpor, through his Patron Mia, manages to set up a party to lure Yoru Chiba just to the edges of Dun Loireag, in order to take away her powers. Friends are invited, but expected to be on their best and most noble of behaviors!

Giganpor
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

The party is pretty much in full swing thanks to Giganpor's connections. Granted he probably burned a few, but the Tradesmen still have some respect for him and at the moment he's diverting his own personal resources built over considerable time to making this thing happen. Having rented out a manor house outside of the Root Town protections for it, the trip was about an hour from Dun Loireag by foot, probably less by Peko.

As for the party itself, it was quite lavish and more of a fall festival thing since it was August and all. The party's security was also mostly guards from the Merchant Blades and a bunch from the New World here and there set up on most of the entry points. If anyone's getting in, they have to scale the ten foot wall or beat up a bunch of guards unless they are invited.

The dress code was pretty much formal, and it was a meeting and party with Mia as the hostess. Who wouldn't want to meet with her, after all? She does pretty much run security for a lot of the supply shipments of the Ninetails Domiinion, after all.

As for Giganpor himself, he is in his human form dressed in a bit more formal appearance. No armor, no shield, no pole axe. And he was hanging close to where Mia was.

With the trap being firmly set and with the New World and Merchant Blade guards told of who to watch for and alert Giganpor as well as any allies he has among the party goers, the music and lively chatter continued to play on. To both distract the nobility and to make it seem like an ordinary party.

With the trap set, now all they needed was the guest of 'honor' to show up. Namely Yoru herself.
Yeowang
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Yeowang is here and dressed formally as well, with her hair worn up in a complicated updo, with strings of jewels in it, and if they're not the most expensive ones, they're nicely set and the jewelry is well-made. The dress is white, as it's still summer, if close to the end, sleeveless but otherwise demure enough for any decent young lady. This shindig, apart from a chance to query Yoru about some irregularities in her ascension, is a nice chance for her to chat with the highbrow movers and shakers about Business, which she does as she keeps an eye on events. It's half cover, half actual business, which amuses her. But since everyone's here, she may as well do the things that make business happen.
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Shiruba would make Gwen proud if she was here, as she was wearing the formal dress that was made for her back when they had one of the first official meetings between guild leaders. The green one with the shoulder cover on one side and the embroidery of leaves and vines to give a good nature and forest impression. If it wasn't for the wolf ears and tail one might of mistook her for an elven dignitary. If Elder Tale had elves and not a Pooka ranger that considered herself an elf. Not really an important matter.

There's enough actual visible guards. She's here to be amongst the crowds, for when someone or something does indeed manage to make its way into the party. Considering the supposed power their target has been using.

Honestly, the formal dress wasn't that bad to wear. She felt more naked with the lack of her bow and arrow. But she still had methods of defending herself and others should and when it comes down to it. Right now it was important to appear as part of the party itself.
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Rizadoman moderates the party in a more guard capacity then an actual attendee, but still he wore his formal tunic at the very least. Doing his best to coordinate merchant blades and new world people as he speaks over teh chims, "All new guards, report in." The lizards eyes move to look at the bait being escorted by the strangest sight the lizardman had seen, a human Giganpor, and all Rizadoman can think at seeing Giganpor is that no one could pay him enough to be human. Listening in on the chims for another moment he then adds, " Never thought I would be waiting for a fox to enter the hen house."

Mia slowly blinks as various nobles slowly enter. She greets each and every one of them personally. She has made it clear to Giganpor that he is in charge of the operation in regards to Yoru, but that she will do her best to entertain the guests. Being the head of the Merchant Blades, she is hardly the most celebrated of the Ninetail Dominion 'merchant princes and princesses', but she is most certainly one of the most /respected/ ones.

"Welcome." She touches two hands over a young woman that steps through. Giganpor might recognize this one, as Jun Miruno hself smiles at the two of them. "Thank you for the invitation." She and Mia make a bit of small talk, before Jun heads on in, which gets Giganpor a warning look from Mia for some reason. Is it because one of the other Ninetails Merchant heads is here? Or is there something else for Giganpor to be wary of? It's hardly as if he can ask right now...

As Yoru arrives. Clad in a beautiful dark dress that glitters, and flanked by two elderly butlers, she steps with the confidence of a woman who knows the high-life. She's smoking what looks like a Kiseru, approaching Mia and Giganpor both. A flicker of that strange neck-piece showing against her throat as before. Ever so similar to that of Spatjahr.
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Miyako seems to fit in well in formal garb, the elegant black dress gleaming with silver trim. She circulates through the crowd, dancing with just about anyone who catches her attention, quietly chatting with nobles and merchants and generally providing a friendly face as she keeps an eye out for anything unusual. At the moment, she's chatting quietly with a young lady from one of the low-ranking noble families present, regaling the girl with only-somewhat-exaggerated tales of her early adventures. As Yoru arrives, not far away, she turns half an eye to watch, her voice quieting. "Quite a dress," she murmurs, smiling lightly, as if impressed.
Yeowang
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Yeowang glances at Yoru as she arrives, watching her, but also watching the butlers. They will be a source of trouble if this goes south, she's fairly certain. But as before, she's received zero briefing on the plans and objectives of the soiree, so she's left to wing it. Winging it, in this case, is continuing the conversation as if nothing eventful had happened, and she discusses the difficulties with the Palace Landers' occupation and the wildly increased risks.

Since she knows nothing of any timetables, she can only assure them that all the Alliances are working together and coordinating as well as they can to thwart the Palace Landers. She's vague on the specifics of that, because there's not a /lot/ of coordination at her level other than the overall goal of kicking them back to the Palace Lands. The problem is, she's not part of the Alliance's inner circle, but she would very much like to be, and is talking the talk before walking the walk. On the other hand, vague generalities that can't be pinned to anything concrete ought to be safe. And of course business, which she's entirely on top of.
Giganpor
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Giganpor's about to do what is probably close to suicide, perhaps. But well, his plan, and he started this. He's going to certainly finish it to his satisfaction as he moves to intercept Yoru.

"Ah, /Lady/" he stresses the word, "Yoru Shiba. I would have words with you in private about a business venture that your sister started and neglected to finish, as well as something we neglected with your invitation as a gift for the lovely party last time. So poor form on our part. I must insist we talk in private immediately. There is very much a lot to discuss, and I am told that Lady Mia may even join us there as well once she is done entertaining a few guests. I am told one other might be joining us as well."

Giganpor makes sure it is sudden that he is even presenting such business. That, and he's hoping he is guessing right.

This is where he gambles. This is where he rolls the dice.

He might not have stayed much time around him, but if Giganpor had some glasses on he would surely be pushing them up right now or having a devious gleam on them.
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Ever the wary hunter even in a more urbane setting Shiruba takes note of the arrival of their quarry out of the corner of her eye. But doesn't deviate her attention from the guests she was already speaking to. Stay amongst the crowd and don't do anything to draw suspicion. Let Yoru's confidence from her previous successes get to her and hopefully leave an opening. Until then, just keep aware of the ongoing situation. This was primarily Giganpor's show until he indicated he needed her help. Or the situation hit a low point that intervention was unavoidable.
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Rizadoman spots the target and does his best to not decide to just go right up and confront her, however this was Giganpor's show so he simply waits for now. Instead he takes a moment to approach closer, picking up a pair of drinks and traveling across the room to take note of the two gentlemen with Yoru. The neckpiece does appear to catch his eye as he speaks over the chim, "Anyone who has been around the machina pair, does that neck piece of the new arrival look familiar? " If somehow Yoru had access to machina tech this may not be as easy as he had hoped it would be.

Yoru looks at Giganpor as he remarks that her sister started a business venture, and she considers him for a bit. Glowing the smoke the other way, not so rude as to blow it into the face of her hosts. It's like she's trying to remember him. Like she could have sworn she has seen him before, but she cannot put her finger on it. "Shiro had dealings with an Adventurer?" She asks curiously.

She is however distracted as Mia addresses her. "Good evening, miss Yoru. Welcome." She bids. Yoru bowing her head to Mia and thanks her politely for the invitation. "I am indeed able to assist on this meeting." Mia goes right along with the ploy that Giganpor suddenly sets. She's a Merchant Blade. She knows how to fool others.

"Please, lead the way." Yoru offers. "I hope you do not mind that I am joined by my trusted butlers." She adds.
Giganpor
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Giganpor gives a small bow. "Ah, a bit. We were negotiating a few deals for some interesting transactions here and there. Among them were some very well made Adventurer items if I remember right. I will have an associate bring what we were discussing along."

Looking at the two butlers, Giganpor gives a polite nod. "That is fine, Lady Yoru. We have some rooms set aside for private meetings such as this just in case." He smiles, as charmingly as he can, "Right this way."

Giganpor moves to lead the trio out of the party, and reaches up to use the chimlink. He does speak into it, "Please bring me those items we discussed to the west side drawing room. Make sure you bring some of the beverage samples as well, please. The Lady Shiba has agreed to meet with us over it."

He's not about to publicly say she took the bait, after all. Giganpor is not that stupid, but it's an excuse for others to join them without raising too much suspicion.
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

"You noticed too Riza?" Shiruba replies, her voice as low of a whisper as possible that the chimlink will still pick up. "It wouldn't be the first artifact related to them.." She's had two, after all. It would explain a few things... if only she could get close enough to Loremaster it. But now was not the time to be careless. But as Giganpor and Mia lead Yoru and her escorts to a different room she does move closer in that direction. Gives a nod to Yeowang (who knows business stuff better and can keep the cover up) to help with Giganpor's request. She won't stand out as much as herself or Rizado would. And we mean that in a good way.
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

The Spriggan lingers a minute to see who pays attention to the departures, before it's time for her to follow. "If you'll excuse me, friend? I think we'll have to finish this story another time." Miyako makes her excuses with the young lady she's been regaling, smiling pleasantly as she promises to return as quickly as she can. Once she's extricated herself, she makes her way around the crowd to pause near the door to the side room, as discretely as she might.
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Rizadoman takes note of the red named butler and the green one and raises his glass to his snout, "The old man is spry for his age. " Taking a moment he hears the request for the beverages and moves to take his own drink over and gather the beverages. He wouldn't deliver it into the room but he would help get the drinks over there while making sure to stay out of sight of Yoru. He absolutely would refresh her memory on who these adventurers were. Once the drinks were prepped he would hand them off to someone to take and then follow behind to wait outside the room if anything else was needed.
Giganpor
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

The room is perhaps the furthest they can get from Root Town protections and still be in the party location. It's on the west side of the estate, and pretty big. Most of the furniture is such things as couches, chairs, and a few tables here and there. Notably there's only three windows on the outward west wall. It's made for formal reception, meeting, and more private matters to be discussed after all.

Not to mention it's already got a selection of beverages out, and wall displays with weapons. So plenty of things for them to use if it comes down to it.

Once they arrive, Giganpor pretends to listen to the chimlink, "My apologies, Lady Yoru, but they will be a few minutes. We were negotiating some new arms and armor for your guardsmen as well as some of the newer delights in beverages and delicacies that a friend of mine had discovered recently. I was also told to give a particular brand to you from one of the nobles as well."

With the trap having been nearly sprung, Giganpor was doing his best to distract and letting others listen in via the chimlink on what was going on in the room after the doors were closed. Now he just needed to wait for them to be in position. That one of the butlers was red meant he would need some help on that measure.
Liminality
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Yoru follows along at a patient gait. Each step, her heels tap and click to the ground, her hips swaying. By all means, she looks like she is of noble birth. She carries herself with confidence and grace. The Butlers flanking on either side of her are respectable gentlemen, their hands to their backs. Patiently stepping along with her, their feet so quiet, they're barely noticable as they travel alongside her.

Once arrived, Yoru steps her way to the largest window, and stares out of it for a moment, opening it so that some of the smoke can escape through it. Leaning on the window sill as the Adventurers ready. Mia settles in to the side, firm and tall. She isn't sure what Giganpor's play is, so she is letting him run this gambit - working with him only when called for.

"What brand might you have for me?" Yoru asks, her Butlers moving to either corner of the chambers nearest to her, but somewhat further out of the way so as to not get in the way.
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Miyako slips in through the door and lets it close behind her, shutting out the noise of the party outside. The young Spriggan in her fancy dress has gone to some effort to make herself look harmless, as if any adventurer could ever be called harmless. She offers the two butlers a nod and a wink as she settles in to watch, ready for whatever Giganpor might need to send her for - setting herself up as their equivalent, an underling to be commanded at need.
Yeowang
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Yeowang will move in with Giganpor, a step behind and to the right, where he can have her speak on trade specifics if necessary. She's got a couple ideas and plans of her own, as it is, they're future plans for her, not fully fleshed out yet, but they'll do for conversation if things need to be prolonged. And being an expert in unarmed combat, she doesn't need to draw a weapon from iventory if mayhem is in the offing. She will place herself so that if Yoru tries to bail out the window, which concerned her when she went straight there to open it, she will be in a position to intercept the escape attempt. Otherwise, she's simply there and handy for the discussion. Or to run interference with the goons.

She smiles pleasantly and innocuously, just an assistant, perhaps, or if Yoru recognizes her, it's likely as the chief of the Ninetails Bank. But she doesn't think Yoru gets into actual business affairs, which leaves her fairly anonymous. Which suits her.
Giganpor
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Giganpor moves to poor a drink for himself at least, "Oh, it will be here, soon." He positions himself to where if he needs to he can impose himself in the way for Mia.

She's a Noble, after all. And now it's time to reveal the full plan. "But first, I believe I would like to ask you to remove that necklace before you cause more harm with it."

There's really no signal. And if the others want to come in or not, that's their call. Giganpor's play is quite obvious. And the trap has been effectively sprung now. Wind actually picks up around him as he shifts to his Were-Fang Snow Tusked Lion form.

Check.

"Before you make a hasty move, I have all the exits currently being watched with orders to kill you on sight if you show yourself. The butlers, too. You will also find we are outside of the Root Town protections, meaning you are fair game and despite his obvious advantage over us," He motions to the butler that's showing red to them, "He is one against a legion of Adventurers who are even now moving to close in on this room and make sure you do not escape."

And mate.

The eyes of the Were Lion, now massively tall compared to most, is simply looking at Yoru with the intimidation of a warrior and someone who will more than likely be a virtual tank against all this.

"Oh, and your 'sister' says hello. We are already curing her of the drugs you used on her."
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Shiruba just nods to Yeowang and Miyako as they move inside to assist Giganpor, while she takes up post outside with Rizadoman. It's not unusual for these sort of business meetings to keep guards at the door, after all. Especially right at the door, ready to move in as soon as they need to. Or if there's any surprise players in the party crowd, to make sure they don't get in to make the situation more complicated for the ones trying to extract the item from the quarry.

Sure, with no visible weapons. But she -is- a magic user. Just because she's a Spell Fletcher doesn't mean she -has- to use magic archery...
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Rizadoman listens through the wall of the room while the claims are being made and the threat is being put on the table. Rizadoman gives a look over at Shiruba as he looks out to the crowd of people and then back at Shiruba, " So, I guess the party is about to be over. Should we alert the guests? " Turning back to the door he waits for the sound of a ruckus his tail moving back and forth. Any moment now something would happen and that single choice that is being made would effect just how crazy this party was about to get.
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Standing by the door, Miyako keeps her eyes on the two butlers. Her smile widens, and she lifts a single finger to tap the tip to her lips, warning them to stay quiet. Uninvolved.

She produces a fan from somewhere, flicking it open to flutter it briefly, before making it disappear. The message is clear: She could produce a lethal weapon just as easily.

Yoru turns as Giganpor begins to talk. "My necklace?" She asks. Sebas Tian already begins to move, only to halt as Giganpor begins to transform, and the other Adventurers make themselves known.

Yoru touches the necklace, looking firm and determined, as if nothing could happen to her here. "Do you have any idea who you are talking to? I am not going to just give this to you." She looks to Sebas Tian, where-as the other Butler is remaining further back. He realizes he is not a fighter. But the Red noted Sebas Tian...

The Butler steps towards Giganpor with firm steps, adjusting his white gloves for a moment, and gives Giganpor a look, then looks to Miyako and Yeowang. "I feel qualified enough to declare that I would defeat each and every one of these Adventurers - including the two standing outside the door - and send them to be resurrected to the church. I estimate I will take roughly eight-tenth of my life force in damage. But I would be victorious in the end." He starts off with.

Which gets this big grin to grow of Yoru's face, and she defiantly looks up to Giganpor.

"However, that is not taking into account protecting you at the same time, Lady Yoru. Since you are not combat trained, you would likely get in the way. Even if I were to grab you out of the window, the Adventurer known as Shiruba - outside of that door - would be a capable enough shot to snipe you before we'd make it around the corner."

The woman grimaces and takes a long puff on her Kiseru, staring at Giganpor, clearly considering her options. "Those good-for-nothing guards..."
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Ears perk as she hears her name... Thought it comes with a valid assessment of capability. Not to mention Shiruba could also call her falcon to make sure they're followed if an attempt at preventing their escape still managed to fail, but if that skill is less known by the enemy she is not going to object at the moment. We're keeping our focus on the here and now, hoping Yoru and her servants realize that high threat levels alone won't save them easily in this situation and comply.

But hope aside, she's ready to engage as soon as it's necessary. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst, as she's often said.
Giganpor
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Raising an eyebrow at Sebas Tian, Giganpor seems to consider. A warrior's look of respect is given towards the Butler. "Thank you for the honest guess. I would be interested in hearing how you know all of that sometime."

He looks to Yoru. "To be honest, this was the core part of the plan. You should also consider that now that we, the Adventurers, are aware of it, and now so is Lady Mia, that we will spread the word as well and it has already begun to happen. By the time we are done everyone will know your face, your likeness, and that necklace."

"All your wealth, power, and ability with that will be taken within the month at the most. Perhaps even a day's time as it spreads. Oh, did I forget to mention the individuals at the party?" Giganpor gives a grin, "I believe we could include them in this as well."

Giganpor looks at Sebas Tian. "I do apologize if this comes to violence, by the way. Your assessment is pretty wise, and it seems as if your mistress is going to be a problem in the long run. Are there terms or such where we can at least have you two walk away from this?"
Yeowang
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Yeowang bristles a bit as the big guard just assumes he could get out the window with Yoru with her trying to stop them. She might not be able to stop them, but she's pretty sure she could at least slow them down. She positioned herself by the window in case exactly that happened. But maybe he's underestimated her danger level? Maybe she overestimates herself? She's still not up to where she was in RL, but she's been here a year, where she'd been training for ten years in RL, so she's not quite happy with where she stands. It drives her training. She's not as good as the most senior Guildies, but she's pretty capable.

She's agreed to follow Giganpor's lead here, it's his objective, but she will size up Sebas Tian again for her own edification, any comments she has for him are kept to herself for the moment, but they will realize the number of strings that have been pulled to put them in this situation, and hopefully they will make the peaceable situation. She has her own questions for Yoru, but that's another task for afterward.
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Rizadoman adjusts to press his ear to the wall and does his best to listen in on what is being said. The chims were great for two way radios, but speakerphone they were not. Taking another moment he listens and then looks at Shiruba as if trying to judge if they should charge in now or not. Finally Rizadoman goes on the chim and speaks out to the three in the room, "Could one of you give a quick recap of whats happening on the chims casually while we stand out here?" Hopefully they get the clue and would fill in the gaps.
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

"What I don't understand," the Spriggan muses, "Is -why-." Miyako sighs and glances from one of the 'butlers' to the other, before returning her apparent focus to 'Lady' Yoru. "There are so many ways you could have achieved... almost anything. Who is 'Yoru', anyway?" She smiles lightly. "It's not as if there's any point to keep it secret now."
Liminality
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Sebas Tian touches a hand to his chest, the other behind his back, and bows to Giganpor at the look of respect and the offer of interest. "Of course. Though I fear I cannot so easily surrender what I know." The man then rises back up and turns towards Yoru to see what her response will be. She seems to touch towards her throat, but Sebas reminds her; "The Adventurers will not be affected by that toy."

At which point her fingers tremble and falter a bit. "I recommend you surrender the item to the Adventurer, miss Yoru. Your position within this city is not under threat at this point, even with the removal of miss Shiro." The man then turns towards Yeowang, who is bristling at him. There's three windows, Yeowang cannot occupy all of them.

The woman seems to be considering her position. It's the look of someone who is looking for any out. Like an addict who refuses to give up their drug of choice. "That's not part of the deal. I don't have to tell you anything." The woman's fingers tremble. She's breaking down from her usual stature. A sheen of sweat on her forehead as she finally has her shoulders slump...

And reaches back behind her neck, and unclicks a metalic latch. There's a shimmer of light as the magic that keeps it attached to her neck disenagges, and she offers it out to Giganpor with anger in her eyes.
Yeowang
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Ironically Yeowang's annoyance wasn't really at Sebas Tian for his dismissive view of her, but at her own relative powerlessness. She's used to being of much more consequence, and it's not a nice feeling to be told you're not significant. Even if you're not. Maybe, especially if you're not. If she's not happy with him, it's for reminding her of that fact.

In any event, while she may not be able to block all the windows, she's blocked the nearest one, the one Yoru opened. The others would have been a bit more effort to get through in a rush. And while she'd barely be a speed bump for a red enemy, at least a speed bump will slow someone down. Which will allow more people to come to bear. Then again, maybe she wouldn't even be a speed bump? Hopefully this won't be proven out, though, and it looks like Yoru is standing down, passing the relic over to Giganpor. She's still wary, but it looks like things are not going to explode into violence.
Giganpor
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Giganpor reaches out to take the necklace. "Thank you." A small smile is given, "As I thought, it won't work on us, but works just fine on Landers and probably Monsters as well?"

Once he has the necklace in hand, he steps back and makes a show of reaching up to activate the chimlink again, "We have the item. Yoru and her two butlers are free to go."

Giganpor does eye Yoru. "I do have one question before you go. I do not really care who gave you this or why. I simply wish to know, why you chose Shiro? From the talks with the guards, she does not deserve to have everything taken as she did. And from appearances you both could be cousins or perhaps even sisters. Why her?"

He does make sure to stay in the way still, to make sure that Mia is safe. No angry Jun on him. Nope.

After that, he does an Inspect on the necklace in hand. Just to be safe, and to make sure it is what they are after.
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Miyako watches as the relic is handed over, her eyes remaining steady on the 'Lady' Yoru. "No one is saying you -have- to tell us anything. But..." She pauses a moment, letting tension build, before continuing. "It would help us to understand... and to help -you-. Clearly -something- is wrong, if you felt the need to do something like this. This isn't just greed or ambition."
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

It would seem Yoru has chosen the nonviolent option, though she is clearly not happy about it. Maybe she realized having a fight break out over this would do more potential harm to her reputation than she could fix with the artifact if she did escape with it... Or the butler was just able to get through to her to not put what she already had on the line. Whatever it was, the situation not escalating to violence is a win in her book.

Shiruba steps in the door finally at Giganpor's message. She's still got an eye on the woman and her manservant bodyguards, but isn't obstructing the doorway, instead moving closer to Giganpor and Mia.

And restraining herself. As much as she wants to examine the relic she doesn't want to go flashing her special ability in front of people that might still be enemies, and now holding a vengeance.
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Rizadoman steps in behind Shiruba when she enters the room, taking a moment to look at the three, he lets the door close partially behind him and then steps aside. It was a sign that he wasn't intending to block there path and they were free to go still, however he didn't need the sound of any given answers to travel to easy for the time being. Looking from the two elderly servants then to Yoru then back to the elderly man with a red name. He was listening but at the end of the day this could all turn sour and that man, Sebas Tian, was the one who would be the dangerous of them all.

Yoru huffs, "Why not? She had everything in the world. It's not like anything changes if she loses it, and I gain it all in her place. It's zero sum." The woman remarks, puffing on the Kiseru in order to calm her nerves, her fingers trembling, gritting her teeth. "We're leaving. This party is terrible." She then declares, glaring at Mia for a moment, as she and her Butler move to leave.

The girl slamming the doors open in anger. Glaring at Shiruba and Rizadoman, and continueing to walk out indignantly, yet somewhat gracefully still. Refusing to look defeated.

This leaves behind Giganpor and his ability to look at the device. It claims to be a 'Necklace of the Befehler'

Sebas Tian is the last to leave, politely bowing to the Adventurers, and quietly closing the door for them, before joining after Yoru.
Yeowang
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Yeowang watches Yoru and her servants depart, and she takes a critical look at them as they exit. They're certainly worth knowing more about, she feels, and she does her special examination of them. Unfortunately, something happens that she did not expect, and was not prepared for. The vertigo hits first, and the feeling of being watched to her soul. Her head is pounding, and she's not sure if someone shoved an icepick through her head or not. A hand to her head does not locate an icepick, but the pain does not relent. She tries to say something, but only a hoarse crack comes out, and she falls silent, slumping into one of the unoccupied chairs for the moment.

Shiruba watchs the woman leave in the most dignified huffy fit possible. "We might have to keep an eye on that one. She could be dangerous even without the Relic." She did amass a sizable amount of power that isn't going to juse go away after all.

Speaking of Relics, that's what Shiruba turns her attention back to. "Time to find out what is really up with this thing..." she holds a hand to the Necklace in Giganpor's grasp, to help herself focus as she examines it more deeply than just a visual analysis could be. "Ooooh..." she eventually murmurs softly, and withdraws her hand, going right into scholarly exposition mode. "It's rare, but not exactly unique. Which is a little worrying on it's own, but not immeadiately relevant. It's the remains vocal device for a Machina command unit called a Befehler. That's why it has such a influencing power that is commanding rather than controlling... and..."

Shiruba pauses, squinting a little, making sure she sensed that right. "... It was crafted into the necklace by Bondrewd." Followed by a soft whistle. "That is quite the find... though now we're left wondering how she ever got her hands on it..." The wolfgirl steps back from Giganpor, eyes half-lidding as she pauses to catch her breath. Part of the reason she didn't want to use it while possible enemies were around is it can be quite exhausting even when successful.
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Miyako watches as the 'villainess' and her underlings turn to go, and sighs. "Is that all this was, then? Envy and greed? Such a waste of potential. She could have been so much more." She sighs and settles into a seat herself, listening to Shiruba's exposition.

"Bondrewd. That name again. Keeps coming up, hmm?" She considers for a moment. "Really ought to look into that."
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Rizadoman notices the pained expression on Yeowang's face as she collapses into a chair, and quikly moves to her side, "Are you ok?" He is concerned but his attention is drawn when he hears the name Bondrew and squints a little as he tries to remember it. It is like he has heard the name before, "Didn't that man show up during one of the waves, the sixth or seventh one when they went after Olympus's boat?" The lizardman then looks back to Yeowang encouraging an answer from her that he still hasn't got.
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Once she's caught her breath Shiruba goes to pick up one of the drinks that was brought in... though pauses to squint at it in her tired state. Points at the glass while she looks to the rest of the group. "We didn't poison these to try and knock her out, right? Right?"
Yeowang
Dun Loireag - The Highland City

Yeowang tries to croak out a reply to Rizadoman, but she can't get anything comperhensible out. She looks more chagrinned than anything, or maybe frustrated at this point. She can handle pain just fine, but the combination of symptoms is really pulling a whammy on her. She waves Rizadoman off for now, she'll have to explain later.
