Training Camp

It's been a long day of hunting, target shooting and training. She knows Goblin Slayer will be dragging her off for more training later and goblins will be involved. It's not so bad but before well those antics begins. She's got the fire going and is boiling water. "mmm noodles."

    A loud echoing roar is heard through the area as if some predator was issuing a challenge to all that can hear. Moments later the smell of smoke through the air and the glints of fire as well. Tracking the source would find a single being standing in a circle ofsmoking tree stumps and the logs of the trees burning. The fire is already dying out as the magic from the attacks of the person is running out. That person is Rizadoma, standing there holding his twinblades looking quite grumpy at the trees. Maybe they fell and refused to make a sound.

Erufu waves over to Rizadoman "Got the noodles about done and there's some chese here. Stop sulking at the trees and come eat! It will be like that time we went camping." She almost sliped there but it's just her and Riza in the end she catches herself. "Come eat we can catch up a bit right I have some gouda here..."

    Rizadoman looks up and over at his training partner informs him of the noodles being done. He grumps his way ovr to her and shakes his head, "I do not understand how you can be so chipper in these times." Taking another moment he looks at the trees before he puts his weapons back together into a shield and slides the shield onto his back. In the past few months he has lost a lot of joyful experiences in his life and now even the temptation of cheese doesn't bring him the excitement and giddy feelings they once did. The lizardman drops down by the fire and stares at the moment before saying, "Sorry that was rude of me. I didn't mean to be rude."

Erufu pauses for a moment. "It's not that I don't understand the seriousness of the situation. What good does it to to have our enemies make us live in fear. To be afraid that we wish to live our own lives. To not bow to wretche rulers who inherited their money and power? They want to break us or enslave us. Don't worry about it I understand you have far more duties than I do. I also think... about Orcbalg." She looks at the fire for a moment. "Do not worry about it my old friend."

    Just watching the fire and listening to his elf friend causes his shoulders to drop a little. Rizadoman lets out a sigh as he thinks for a moment, "It's not the duty that weighs on me, some causes stress but no I think you called it. It is all this war, and the risk of life, on both sides. The guilt behind it too.." Rizadoman trails off there for a moment before he switches subjects,"Speaking of Orcbalg, sword maiden told me there are some goblins near the old spriggin tree that we will need to clear out. The goblin queen took up residence there I believe."

Erufu looks into the fire and puts some more wood on it. "It seems the reaper has found us once more and will enact a price of part of our soul to get back up. Even then it has it's limits does it not? I'd like to live to see 3000 you know." She wings. Then she looks back to the fire, "Sounds like a palce I could do some training and Orcbalg has been talking about having me seek out worthy prey. To let the goblins be ignored in this time of war will let them multiply and cause the people of Yamto to suffer more." She'll pass some of the instant noogles to Risadoman. "I should I think learn formally to cook at some point."

    Rizadoman takes his cup and holds it with both hands as he nods his head, "Death is the perfect hunter, it never tires, it never faulters, and in the end it always finds it's prey." Throwing back the death proverbs at Erufu as he nods his head about the goblins, "I have to scout it out and report it to the hunter's guild once I know the location. Swordmaiden has left the rest up to the hunter's guild to deal with it." Then he begins to sip at his cup of noodles before looking over at the elf, "Why cooking of all things?"

Erufu says "Not being able to do it limits how long and how far I can really scout. There's only so much ready to forage plants out there after all." She nmow digs into her noodles. "Still only a fool gives into that which hunts it. Orcbalg ... whatever happens to him I think would have utterly destroyed most of us yet he keeps going. Sides it's not fair to make Priestss and other do all the cooking now is it?"

    Rizadoman nods his head as he finds the logic in Erufu's words, "This is true, it would be nice for these little training expeditions to have more then instant noodles on the menu." Taking another sip and slurping a few noodles in the process he adds, "I recently took on learning law from Proteus and the temple of law. Expanding your skills isn't a bad thing."

Erufu says "Why do you think I learned finally how to use magic?" She snaps her finger causing a small flicker of flame. "I see a lot of our friends and allies have been have been doing the same."

    "It's the war, " Rizadoman starts before emptying the rest of the cup of noodles. " It has driven us to grow and no longer stagnate, it has driven some to even take up new interesting powers." There is a growl in his voice as he adds, "Like data draning." There is the evident distste in his voice for it. Finally he stands up slowly and stretching before looking down at Erufu, "Please tell me you are not hoping to acquire something like that. Please."

Erufu Says "It is I had hope to avoid such things." She pauses for a moment "Data drain? No..." If anything she's seek into the deeper lore of the world being a 2000 year old elf and all.

    Rizadoman nods his head," I am glad to hear that. " With a smile on his face he retrieves the shield from his back as he moves back to the smoldering traing ground he had left behind. Shouting back to Erufu, "Thank you for cooking the meal. I look forward to your next culinary masterpiece."
