Music in the square!

Deciding to try and earn a few coins playing some music at the town of beginnings, Viviene sets up with her guitar, inviting people to make requests.

It was a calm fall morning in the Town of Beginnings, Viviene, a tiny spriggan of less than five feet, was seated on a bench as she was strumming away at a guitar, playing out a song on it, using a little bit of magic to enhance the effects and give it a slight rock and roll twist, anyone who was fammilar with the game that released on the other side last year, would know it.

The spriggan seemed pretty into playing the song, focused on her instrument as a box was set infront of her incase anyone wanted to leave a donation, sometimes she flourishes with her guitar, but the song is a calm and chill one, and she generally keeps to that vibe, anyone who looks at her gets a big grin from her or a smile, and she's immedatily back to the song.

Inrit was wandering around the Town of Beginnings, which is far from abnormal for him trying to stay out of trouble. And it sounds like today was different! It's not every day someone starts playing music, and it's plenty to lure the very short fairy-boy towards the sound. And when he arrives he'd stay to listen, returning the grin/smile with one of his own, but he'd remain respectfully silent and simply listen while bobbing idly to the beat. He didn't have anywhere to be right now so he was simply gonna enjoy the music!

Viviene continues playing, reaching the peak of the song, it is amplfied to spread across the square, but not be too loud as to disturb anyone still sleeping, upon spotting Inrit, she offers a nod of greeting and continues to play, ending the song on a dwindling note and a final strum of her guitar, she sets it down infront of her. "Oh, Hello." the small spriggan said, waving politely. "Do you have any requests? I can give a shot at playing it, though the only instruments I have are a flute and guitar." she said, she spoke with a curt tone, with an imperfect japanense accent, more foreign. "I'm Viviene, Mercenary and Newbie to the Sleeping Knights."

Inrit has much less of notable imperfection, a native but very informal speaker. "Hi! Oh uhm. I don't know many songs, so I don't know what to request, I like all music!" He ohs, then adds, "I'm Inrit Candlebell! I'm uhm, a 'maid', but I mostly just do magic and want to be a healer. I'm a member of the New World Alliance... I think, I honestly haven't contributed as much as I'd like eheh."

The spriggan chuckles a little. "No need to fret about that, everyone learns at their own pace and learning healing is an honourable and much needed practice. I'm far far to much aligned in the way of the dark arts to even touch healing." she explains to Inrit, she looks thoughtful a moment. "Beyond healing, what other kinds of magic do you do?" she asks curiously. "As I mentioned .." The atmosphere grows a bit dark and spooky as Vivi's voice is altered to sound all shadowy. "I am a master of the Dark arts." it returns to normal right after, but she chuckles a little and offers one of her small hands to Inrit for a handshake. "I'm actually better at fighting up close, can do a bit of tanking, but I'm well rounded as a Bladesinger." she said. "Hmm, I've a few ideas for songs. Did you play any games before ETO?"

Inrit listens attentively and would only seem a little unsettled by the spooky voice! But shivers aside, he'd speak, "Well utility and defense magic are what I do best, attacking magic I'm only alright at. And I've been casting by sort of 'praying' to the spirits of the elements and it was working, but I learned Air spirits... I don't think I need them." He'd example this by just seeming to focus on something internal before his hair begins to spike and stand up and he has arcs of electricity coming off of his body, as well a mysterious wind rolls in. Air magic definitely comes naturally to him. And just as quickly as it came, the wind would return to normal, his hair would fall and the zapping would stop. For the second question, he'd shake his head no with an innocent naively proud smile. "Nope! This was my first video game ever actually!"

Viviene is thoughtful, watching Inrit, she returns her hand after the tiny Sylph starts crackling. "Well, remember to take a look at your innate stats and abilities in your character menu." she advises. "This is my.. fourth game ever? But this one is a whole different struggle than the other games I've played, and there is still a lot I don't grasp, but don't be afraid to mix and match your natural abilities with what you focus on using, they can be just as strong. I've some tricks with fire, and air too. Fire has some pretty strong offensive potential, so figuring out what you want ready to use can make up for an otherwise weak attack selection, and don't forget about debuffs! A solid debuff can make a weaker attack all the better." she adds after. "Ah, I think I know what I'll play."

A song of a melodic, uplifting tune begins to play, her magic is used to produce the sounds from other instruments she lacks, though this obviously takes a good deal of focus from the tiny spriggan. Its a song with a heroic vibe and the feel of adventure!

Inrit is proud to announce, "I'm apparently REALLY high in Air magic in my stats! I didn't do that on purpose, if I did I would've chosen Light magic instead." He'd giggle idly. He would listen to her advice attentively, and when she begins to play again the Sylph would again bob and bounce to the music as adorably as possible. "I actually really don't like fighting though. But I can get in the way of anything trying to hurt my friends and help fix them up afterward."

The song continues for a few minutes, Viviene nods to Inrit while she plays, continuing the song, as it enters a phase of excitement and steady mystery, the promise of exploring something unknown or new, only to end on the quiet, subtle tone of rest and fammilar tones of relaxation, at the end of a grand adventure. "Hm. Fighting is really scary, I did a lot of fighting on the other side, so its kind of normal to me. I don't blame you though, but I really do suggest you learn how, this world is dangerous, and being able to defend yourself is important." she explains. "People, and even some smarter monsters to know to target the healer first, and they do so viciously, at the very least, fighting isn't as painful here in the real world, and you have a lot of things you can do here that most others can't."

Inrit nods understandingly. "I know, I've already been taught that lesson. But even so! If I understand my stats right-" He'd pose dramatically, doing a quick flourish spin before taking a battle stance with his staff aimed at no one! Gun safety applies to staffs, don't point the business end at strangers. "I may not be good at attacking but I'm really good at dodging, blocking, healing, and stuff like that! I can take people aiming at me, AND healing!" He'd spin again with another glittery sparkly flourish as he puts the staff back onto his back. "So no need to worry about me too much."

Viviene laughs at Inrit's antics and nods. "I'm pretty well rounded, I use a bit of everything." she reaches to her back and pulls a weapon out of her inventory, as it shimmers into existance, she begins drawing a sword, that grows, and grows.. three feet, four feet, five feet, six feet, and pulls it off her back and stabs it into the ground beside her with one hand. "But -this- is my specialty." the tiny spriggan said, standing almost two feet shorter than her chosen weapon.

Inrit, the also tiny sylph would look up at the oversized blade in awe. "Woah! That's super cool!" He'd get a good look at the sword by running in a circle around Viviene really fast back to where he started. Satisfied with just one loop. "Some of my spells look super cool but I'd have to go outside the Town to show you, someone might get angry at me if I do it here. My staff just looks like a big tree branch."

Viviene nods "How about a rain check for that? I need to get a little bit of rest. I bet they look cool, I heard of some really explosive spells that exist. I've actually started working on creating my own sword Arte. I just recently had a fight with my guild leader, and her personal sword arte is what won the fight." she said to Inrit. "You might want to consider trying that yourself!"

Inrit nods and smiles. "Alright! My spells aren't very explosive usually." He would seem confused by the idea though. "Fight my guild leader? Well I guess I can think about it but I don't think I want to do that." He seems confused by the idea mostly. "So far I've only fought monsters."
Viviene

Viviene laughs. "Fighting other players is a good way to challenge yourself in learning new ways to fight, but no, I meant coming up with your own wave art!" she said to Inrit. "You look talented enough with air magic that you could probably come up with just about anything air can do with the right thinking and imagination." she encourages, then picks up her sword, sheathes it on her back and stores her guitar in her inventory, and collects the few coins that were in her box. "See you later, Inrit, and if you ever want to practice agaisnt me, let me know, but I do understand the lack of desire to fight. Your magic could be used in a lot of ways that are benefical without ever fighting!" she waves, and begins to wander off!

Inrit ooohs and nods. "Oh Oh! I can do that! I think I have a pretty great idea for it I think. It was nice meeting you Viviene! Goodbye!" He'd wave excitedly before spinning 180 to run off to some new mischief surely!
