More Deliveries

Once again Miho is having to deliver somethings to customers in Alne. She's also done some shopping and has a pair of linnen bags full of various things. It seems someone has forgot to use her inventory.

The primary forest occupied by Gnolls was technically in the 'starting zones' near Alne and Carmina Gadelica, which was part of what made the current infestation by stronger demon worshipping sects so dangerous, at least to the lesser experienced. Considering even experienced parties have had difficulties dealing with the lot under Yeenagi. So it was little surprise that Shiruba had set herself in near the Hunter's Guild, so she could keep tabs on reports coming in about gnoll activities across Yamato.

Right now though, the wolfgirl was slumped amongst some supplies she'd stocked, looking like she had just randomly passed out on the spot. Which probably wasn't far from the truth. Adventurers needed to sleep less than 'real world' people, but one still could only exhaust themselves to a point before the body demands it. And like most people enthralled in a 'Strange Mood' Shiruba has done just that, pushed herself to the point that collapsing into a disheveled pile of floof amongst her stuff was the only option.

Not that she's unguarded. There's a bunbun asleep in her lap, after all. And most Landers seem to not want to mess with the small voracious furballs.

Since the war started, Jazz hasn't been to Alne. She's been here and there, helping as she can. At the moment, she's stopped by Shiruba, eyeing her. And her floof. And her dishevelled nature.

"Oh, Shiruba," she says, putting a hand to her face. She puts the scroll case she was carring into her coat and then kneels down beside her.

"You've done it again, haven't you," she offers, quietly, not really expecting much of a response at the moment.

Miho is trotting alonmg then she pauses looking at Shiruba whbo is just about sleeping there. She stares for a moment at this eying the bunbun. Sighing and looks to Jaz "I think she's done it again yes." She'll lean over, checking her own invenory. She pulls out a blanket and moves to cover Shiruba over as she sits down beside her.

"Oh hey Jaz."

A long bunny ear twitchs and Yojimbo opens an eye, but seeing faces of his master's friends isn't anything to get concerned about. He hops down when Miho gets the blanket, and curls up in Shiruba's tail fluff instead. Shiruba herself doesn't move other than some sleepy muttering under her breath. But the 'done it again' is accurate, as the scattered affects of her on-going 'research' on the demonic gnoll cult are still scattered about her spot. She's really gone in on this thing with a frevor, to say the least.

"Hey, Miho," replies Jazz, looking down at Shriuba and the bun. She reaches out to poke Shiruba once. Gently. In the ribcage.

"Yep. I suspected she might've been in a Mood when I heard her rambling on chim. Seems like she crashed out. I'm going to go fetch some tea. She's probably dehydrated. Maybe I ought to summon some water to give her an impromptu bath." Which would also wake her up, no doubt, at least a little. Her flat tone is an exercise in dry humor on that front.

Miho says "I don't think i ever passed out in public when i was in a mood like this. At least I don't think I have." She pauses "It would wake her up and I'd like my blanket not soaked you know. Still go get the tea that would be a very good idea."

Shiruba squirms a bit at the poke and huddles herself in the blanket a bit more. You have a shop in a city that isn't overrun with invaders from another server Miho, that doesn't count. But Jaz is entirely right about her being in a Mood. And she probably does need a proper bath outside the Menu commands, but soaking the blanket and the other stuff for Shiruba's obsessive work probably wouldn't go over very well.

No doubt! It's one of the reasons Jazz wasn't serious about it. She does work to start gathering up Shiruba's things, however. Leaving them exposed is probably worse in the short term. She sets them aside, then straightens up, brushes off her long coat and skirt, and then proceeds to head off for the tea, leaving Miho to watch over the weary-wolf.

Miho leans back and watchers Shiruba for a moment her eyes wandering for a moment "How did you get into this mess my friend?"

Because Shiruba's desire to protect others latched onto the demonic gnolls and finding the source of their corruption so it can be stopped strong enough to trigger the same effects as the crafters that get obsessed on one grand project. But Shiruba isn't awake or aware enough of her own state to think of explaining things in such a manner. She had no idea a more abstract concept like her Tracking skills could even have such a profound state. But apparently having to learn to trace the differences from normal Gnolls and stalk creatures more vicious and powerful than her usual monster quarries was indeed enough to do so.

A short time later, the Sea-Witch is on her way back with a platter of tea and little snacks. She sets it down by Shiruba's nose on the ground.

And then waits.

A sensitive nose ought to do some of the work for her here.

They'll have to watch that the bun-bun doesn't try to snatch some of the food. But for the moment he seems to be content curled up in Shiruba's tail. At least long enough for the effect Jazu is looking for to happen. A couple of twitches of the nose, and Shiruba opens an eye even as she's squirming an arm out from under the blanket to grab one of the snacks. "Oh, perfect, now I don't have to get up." And shoves it in her mouth without a concern on where it came from. Yup. Considering how cautious she typically is, that's pretty deep in a mood.

Once she's had something to eat she wiggles herself enough to sit up and grab the cup of tea. And finally notices Jaz and Miho like it was the first time. "Ah. Hello." Tea sipping commences.

Miho eyes the food but does not go for it, she'll be good. She does not go for it and adds some food from her invenory to the pile. "Hey Shiruba welcome back to the land of the living also you need a bath."

"I can arrange the bath," remarks Jazz with flat affect. Sea-Witches are good at providing baths, after all.

"Good to see you're conscious," She adds.

Shiruba pauses in sipping tea. "Bath?" She blinks, leans back her head a little to look up and guage what time it is. "... This isn't my... oh, right, I went into town to check at the Hunter's Guild. Not the camp." Sips again. Picks up another snack. "This gnoll matter has proven to be bigger than I anticipated. Still haven't found where the demonic ones are first getting their new power from." Om nom nom nom.

Miho is smirkiung at this point. "You can't hunt them well if your tired, hungry and smelling worse than a Gnoll."

"She's right. You don't need your sense of smell to tell you're stinky right now," replies Jazz.

"In case you missed it, you stink," she adds, arms folded across her chest. "We're going to make sure you eat, drink, and get well before you wander off again."

"Counterpoint. That could be considered camoflague. Gnolls would be less supicious of something that smells similar--" Shiruba stops, as if realizing what she's saying. Scrunches nose. "--Ew. On second thought, terrible, disgusting idea. Bath is probably good." As is food, she's already finished most of the snacks, even after breaking a bit off one and giving it to Yojimbo.

Miho says "Come on lets get you to somewhere you can get cleaned up." She'll offer to help Shiruba get up.

AS shiruba speaks, Jazz is just staring at her. Her eyebrows are slowly going up with increduility until Shiruba realizes, indeed, how terrible that idea is.

"...yes. I'll letr Miho get you to the baths." She doesn't even know where the nearest baths are. She just uses the hygene command herself.

Shiruba accepts the hand up, after dislodging Yojimbo from her tail. Who looks annoyed at having to give up his spot of warm floof but follows obediently after. "Hey Miho, you think your blessed arrows would work on demons as well as they did undead? We'll probably need the edge when we do find the source of this infestation." And that's probably the sort of tangents any other conversation is going to continue on. But at least you can keep her talking about the matter long enough to get her cleaned up and fed.
