Sneaking Around... the Tank Way

It was a bit of an odd situation. Perhaps even for the Palace Landers. There was a not so subtle probing at Mac Anu's defenses from the outside. Except... it was all summons. A fire cat here, a vine wolf there. It was probably one of the strangest probing things that could be done. And they were being somewhat stealthy. At least until the earthen gorilla.

That thing was just weird, beating it's chest, and one poor guy almost got his head taken off by a small boulder it chunked over the wall. The bad part about the actual sneaking is that it's not hard to track where the summons came from. You've got burn trails, newly made paths, and everything else other than a 'Summoner Doing THis Right Here' sign over Giganpor's head.

Oh, and the violent earth gorilla made it's way back to him instead of dismissing like the others. With a few arrows, darts, and spears sticking out of it. This sort of thing has Giganpor himself face palming by the time he's found, "Damn it, Granit. I said to use stone skin to blend in, not to get their attention."

He sighs and pulls a few arrows and other things out of the elemental as he keeps an eye out just in case. It's the other side of a small hill that he's now chunking weapons he pulled out of the elemental back over. And probably middle of the day.

    A voice comes up from behind Giganpor, "You know it's true what people say, if you want something done right, do it yourself. " Standing behind Giganpor a good ten feet is a jackal cait sith, wwearing a cowboy hat and a pair of handheld crossbows pointing right at Giganpor. "Greetings there not sure if we met, I am Shirin, the sheriff of Rosenheim. Why not come inside and we can all sit down for some sarsaparilla. " Yes he is leaning really hard into the cowboy motif as he looks at the would be attacker.

"Huh? Just a sec. Good grief, who made this axe?" Giganpor says before turning. "Huh... nice look."

It takes him a moment before he realizes, "Ah, hell."

He leaps backwards even as the axe is swung in an underhanded throw aimed at Shirin's head.

A large summoning circle appears behind him that he passes through and shifts up to an equally large lion form, with some tusks and horns on it's head.

And he looks a bit mad, too! "... never thought I'd be part of some crazy cat and dog fight."

    Shirin smiles as it all sets in to Giganpor on exactly who he is. " Well now doesn't that just take the cake, not even a friendly greeting. No hi my name is...., yall sure are rude round here." As the axe is thrown Shirin reacts by charging towards the axe and sliding under it, losing a bit of hair and roughing up his knees. As he comes back up from the slide he shakes his head, "Now now. that is damn near assault. I am afraid I am going to have to take you in under the law of Rosenheim. The lawyers can sort it out later. I have a feeling you won't come quietly." Leaping forward he whips a leg out for a spin kick before landing and begin to supply a barrage of kicks towards the would be king of the jungle.

Giganpor lands on his feet, then brings his buckler up. The axe coming back is chunked aside by him in favor of reaching for his own weapon. At least until he sees how fast the dog is.

The kicks coming in are responded to by his shield and himself suddenly freezing over and bursting outwards.

The field of freezing cold is a good few feet, too. And then to make it worse, there's another summoning circle as a bird of light comes flying out and lands on Giganpor's shoulder.

"Ah, I figure you might know of me already. My name is Giganpor." The lion were-fang says.

    Shirin leaps back feeling the cold on his feet as he does his best to shake off the frost burn. "Well that was refreshing. I suppose I am awake now." The magical energy around Shirin becomes palpable, hair and fur standing on end, sparks of static discharge the full shonen effect. He even gets the magical third eye to appear as his hair rises up a little. "Gignapor, that Giganpor?!" He questions as he raises his crossbows to point in Giganpors direction. "Never heard of you." Three shots are fired as he begins to strafe Giganpor, one towards the annoying summoned bird, the other two in Giganpors direction. These shots aren't just some basic crossbow bolts though, no they are beams of light meant to pierce the lions frozen hide.

The icey armor doesn't last that long, and the light bird ends up being shot down by the first. The next is met with a combination of rocky wall that barely stops one.

Giganpor's enough of a tank to throw up his buckler on the last one. Despite some angry red lines showing when the rock wall fades, there's a burst of flames that shoot quickly at Shirin from where Giganpor is as he pulls out his poleaxe.

"Huh. Guess you wouldn't know half of the crimes I've committed, then." He shrugs, "Some sheriff."

    Shirin grins and speaks up, "So you admit to having commited more crimes. It is always easier when they confess then when they make me drag it out of them. So tell me , what exactly have you done? What crimes are you dying to confess? " With his question asked he fires off a pair of shots made of blue light, and letting off a bit of steam as they sail through the air. "You know, compared to the others I have fought you have a much more stand there and take it attitude. Are you sure you don't want to come inside and enjoy some tea or something instead?" If it sounds like he is giving Giganpor a moment to think on it that is totally wrong as he fires another round at the poor lion.

Giganpor actually does seem to consider it. Until he's shot at again.

The considering has him struck twice even with his buckler coming into play. The odd spider chitin actually not seeming to help much. The lion actually falls to a knee from all the damage before his hand flicks up and a bunch of coins fly at Shirin. All of them are further enhanced as a flash of light comes from each of them. A blinding flash at that as they try to blind him and keep him from shooting so much.

"Ah, just armed a few goblins here and there. Oh, and took something from a certain noble being pesky and trying to brainwash the masses." He says. "Should've seen her butler. Lot more scary than you."

    The flashing lights catch him off guard and he moves to a more defensive measure as he leaps up to a platform of hardened air and uses it more of a perch then anything else trying his best to keep the pressure on while he waits for his vision to clear. "So treason of turning on your own kind for monsters, theft, and attempting to decieve the masses. You are indeed a criminal and you will be charged accordingly." The moment he sees the blur of Giganpor two powerful beams of light are rained down upon Giganpor before he flips off his air platform and lands ready for the next thing the immoral lion throws at him.

There's a small sound like a gong as Giganpor brings his buckler up, this time in the way, and actually uses it to smack one of the beams so the light disperses back at Shirin.

Then the lion moves forward and the poleaxe is brought around to try to literally bash in the jackal's head in a large swing.

"I'll have you know I was trying to stop the Waves from coming like once a month back then far as the goblins. And seriously, theft? At least I'm making sure we don't have some crazy queen who's a hedonist." He states.

Then he seems to consider for a second, "Deceive the masses came from what again?"

    "You yourself admited to trying to brainwash the masses. Such a horrible crime to brainwash people. " Shirin adds as he steps back avoiding the majority of the poleaxe, dealing with the small scratch here and there. The movements almost taunting in a way that says he is faster then the polearm. Finally with a back flip he fires two blue hue'd beams of light at Giganpor and then lands blowing away what looks like smoke from the crossbows. "An evil being like you, who would dare to hypnotize the masses probably for some form of way to over throw the nearest kingdom. You shall face the harshest punishments."

The beams actually do some damage as Giganpor brings up his buckler again, and a burst of flame comes out to try to counter them.

Giganpor then slams the butt of his poleaxe to the ground as his shield switches to a green glow and a summoning circle appears. Out pops a vine wolf, a wolf made literally of vines that immediately shoots more into the ground that come up to try to take a literal bite out of Shirin.

"Wow. You misunderstood that one like crazy. I took the thing so some crazy person wouldn't denoble everyone she wanted to."

    Giganpor's explanation causes Shirin to tilt his head and then tilt it the other way and really consider for a moment before he looks like he gets it, "Ah ha, I see now. You hypnotized the masses because you didn't like one of the nobles and deceived them to take her out. Yes this all makes sense now. The evil you portray today will be used as an example on why we adventurers need to be controlled. However for someone like you I feel that will not be enough, I sentence you to 1000 deaths." In all this talking it isn't till he feels the vine grab his ankle does he notice it and leaps back, as the wound bleeds. He looks up purturbed and fires a black bolt into the ground as Shirins own vines made of shadows come from the ground to curse Giganpor, then the sheriff raises his weapon and fires off two shots at Giganpor.

Giganpor raises an eyebrow, then his shield glows red as the vine wolf brings it's own powers to bare for it's summoner.

There's another large wall of rock coming up around both of them as protection, followed by a wall of flames that shoots out towards Shirin as the lion hunkers down in defense. He's aware of what the shadowy tendrils may be, and can only try to outlast them hopefully. Which is not a good thing as he eyes through the rock wall before it crumbles.

"You going to keep trying to twist my words or actually take the truth? I mean, you guys already don't believe that only like a third of us over here had anything to do with that Wave that started all this." The lion states.

    Shirin looks at Giganpor and is now obviously the confused one, "The wave that started this all? What are you even talking about? You really think this started beccause...." He trails off obviously still trying to parse it all before saying, "You really think this is all over one wave? Huh I thought we made it pretty clear. Oh well, no need to cry over spilt milk." The magically infused crossbows release bolts into the ground that cause it to rumble and toss itself around before Shirin follows up with shooting an arrow into the sky, "Face your judgement." From the sky a large pillar of light blast down onto Giganpor's location.

"Eh, I'm a bit behind. Been working on a few things."

The pillar of light comes down, and Giganpor glances at it. Then grins at Shirin, "Have you ever heard the Heaven's Roar?"

There's a sudden loud roar coming from Giganpor himself. A roar that actually pushes back the pillar of light and allows him to rush in, as the poleaxe glows a light blue, moving quicker and bringing it around quicker as he swings at Shirin. Somehow it speeds back up so it's ready to guard again, along with the buckler.

Then he states, "You know, I hate people like you. You like to sit back and not get in close, don't you? Other than those kicks, you've been using those crossbows a lot."

    Shirin continues to play his game of keep away with the polarm, "Perhaps really it is you who is just upset that you are to slow to catch any prey. " He grins as he leaps back again, far away from Giganpor, "Besides these were a gift from... from the Queen yeah from the Queen obviously she must have gigven them to me so I like using them. " Half of what he said soounds so full of doubt it is dripping but it doesn't cause Shirin to hesitate as he raises his crossbows and places them so there points are touching and begins to gather up plenty of energy to create one giant crossbow bolt made of light and fires it at Giganpor, "Catch."

Giganpor, seeing the doubt, backs away instead of pursuing. And then comes the giant bolt of light.

"Divine Shield!" He calls out as he brings his buckler up as well. The light impacts, and actually has Giganpor skidding back. Some small red lines appear on him, but otherwise he finally lowers the shield once the bolt's done and continues to back away, obviously intending to get out of dodge for the moment.

"If you are doubting your memories, perhaps you should look closer at what you have equipped. We've heard that you lot are brainwashed a bunch."

    Shirin looks at Giganpor with a mix of anger and frustration, "You have no right to say such things. My Queen would never do that, she loves me. You are the deceiver, you deceived the masses now you try to deceive me. " Shirin throws his crossbow bolts into the air and charges forward as he slings a right hook, then a left cross, right kick to the ribs and then a driving knee to seal it all off. " My queen is perfect, and her love is absolute. She would never betray us."

The incoming attacks are met by Giganpor's pole axe, shield, and his own blocks. Until finally, he decides he's had enough of this.

Wind picks up suddenly, along with a bright flash from his shield on the blast kick as a literal dust storm covers his retreat along with the blinding flash of the shield's light spell.

By the time it's done, he's leapt back considerably, and called back, "I think you need to really look at what all of you are doing. Perhaps you'll find your answers then." Then he takes off, with some of his own wind assisted speed. Speed he definitely didn't use in the fight before.

Perhaps it's a new element or something to him? There certainly wasn't lightning bolts or anything else coming down, after all.

    Shirin watches Giganpor retreat and just when Shirin thinks on what Giganpor said he shakes his head as he feels a headache coming on and dismisses it, "She loves me." Finally he activates his comms and reports in, "This is the sheriff, reporting that the cowardly lion ran away. The queen can rest easy for now." With that said he makes his way to Mac Anu to recover from the fight.
