An Accidental Meeting

It's the early hours of the morning, with a bit of a chill to the air. The streets are rather quiet, too.

A Tanuki has stopped outside of one of the inns, her ears twitching as she listens for any sign of activity inside of it. She purses her lips and seems to consider if she should go in or not.

She a shake of her head, Himari reaches down to the gourd at her hip and gives it a little shake before absently stepping backwards.

Erufu is just getting into town, also she's doing some training trying to not be noticed. Well, it's late she's wanting to make it to an inn and collapse face-first into a bed. Rather than sleep in the wild this night. The green-haired elf yes she's an elf. She will never admit to being a Pooka after all. She does however catch sight of a Cait Sith.

"Hail there. What has you up at this hour?"

Himari certainly doesn't notice the not-a-Pooka elf, and gives a cries out in surprise at the unexpected voice. She takes a step back with wide eyes, and turns look towards Erufu. A soft frown forms on her features, and her ears droop a little. She fidgets for a moment and then offers a sheepish smile.

"You scared me! But sake," she offers. "I was thinking that I need to get more sake. It's for the memorials."

Erufu thinks for a moment "Memorials? Perhaps you had a bit too much sake as it is?" Given what a lightweight she is? It would be rather amusing for any of her party to see her talking about that. "So who are these memorials for if I might ask?"

"Pfft, I haven't even started to drink yet," Himari comments cheerfully, complete with a laugh at the comment. "In a few hours, it might be different. But not yet." She lets her hand slip away from the gourd that hangs from her hip and smiles. "I look after the memorials for the Landers, when I can get to them. I also try to look after memorials to those that we left behind. It's not much, but it's helped me a lot."

Erufu ah she was wondering if someone had died recently, she now gets it. "Ah that's good of you, some of them may not have family left. Such as with the undead armies attacks before the Landers invaded. It was a miracle we sealed them for the moment. So I'm Erufu an Elf Ranger good to meet you!"

"I was bravely keeping away from all of the fighting," Himari admits without a hint of shame. "I'm not a hero, and I would only get in the way. Hopefully they'll remained sealed away for good." She clasps her hands in front of herself and politely bows her head in greeting. "It's nice to meet you as well Erufu-san. I am Himari Saito, but feel free to call me Himari. I think I'm what you could call a spirit caller."

Erufu says "Sealing them will leave them to escape at some point. Its leaving another generation to suffer, it will be best in the end to bring an end to them. Ah good to meet you then Himari! Oh that is interesting you have my attention are you a kind of summoner?"

"I suppose someone could try to do a purification sometime?" Himari seems to consider the question that was asked of her, and offers a nod of her head. "Kind of, I guess?" she replies softly. "I can kind of do all the elemental stuff, but I'm not going to summoning hordes of undead or anything like that. There's a lot better summoners than myself out there."

Erufu says "It sounds like you could use some training! I know a few things that could help and if you really need it? There's a Hunter I know." Passing on the GOBLIN SLAYER EXPERIANCE is something Elf seems keen to do. "So what guilld are you with if I might ask?"

Himari Saito looks rather thoughtful at the offer, as even her tail slowly starts to wag behind her. "Training? Oh, that - that might be a bit scary," she admits. "But with things going how they are, it might be good if I did learn how to fight better. I-I don't want to forget anything." She then purses her lips and replies softly. "M-Moon Tree. That's not a problem is it?"

Erufu says "Oh there are penty of jobs the Hunter Guild needs doing you know. Oh? Moon Tree? The same as me!" She grins clapsing her hands together. "I am also with Moon Tree! I was just curious!"

Himari's ears perk forward when Erufu mentions that they're both part of the same guild, and she smiles brightly. "Oh, that's excellent! I really don't know that many people..." A moment of silence passes, and she then trails off and glances in the direction of the Hunter Guild, causing her ears to droop again and for her tail to stop completely. "That seems scary and dangerous! I've been trying my best to avoid danger since the Apocalypse, and so far it's been working." She folds her arms over her stomach and sighs. "I-I should try sometime."

Erufu says "Don't worry I know a few places to take someone like yourself on a good adventurer. Given the Palace Landers it be a good idea to level up given who knows how long the fight with them will go."

One of Himari's ears perks up, while the other presses itself flat against her head. "I-I..." she trails off again, and shakes her head. "You're right. It might be a good idea to get better at fighting. So where's some good places to go? Especially for someone who has not done any proper adventuring." She reaches down to the gourd at her hip and starts to fiddle with the cork that holds its contents in. "I know I'll most likely be busy if they lose. I imagine there will be a lot of new memorials."

Erufu says "I wioll be happy to help you." She'll open her menu and send Himari an friend invite. "Worse you will be ensalved and perhaps crowned." She shudders. "The rules of the Palace Truly are Goblins. There may be even some for Adventuerers given there is a limit to howmany times we can rise from the dead."

Himari Saito stops and pauses at Erufu at the mention of potentially being enslaved or crowned. She blinks a few times, and then reaches down to untie the gourd that hangs from her belt. She pulls the cork out with her free hand and takes a deep drink, and then offers it towards Erufu. "That's not very encouraging. You better make certain I don't!" she says in a worried tone. However she opens up her own menu, and nervously accepts the request.

Erufu says "Don't worry we'll take it slow and easy." She tils he head a bit. "So on to other good things! What do you like to do aside from the duties you have given yourself?"

Himari Saito still looks nervous, despite the drink from the gourd. She offers it towards Erufu with a smile. "This is going to sound pathetic, but I have trouble not doing anything," she comments. "I do perform now and then though, just to get a little bit more gold. Out of all the things I've done, that's actually one of the things I'm comfortable in doing in front of a crowd." She looks thoughtful and it seems that she's starting to relax again. "Oh, what about yourself Erufu-san?"

Erufu pauses for a moment "Oh perform?! Do you sing? Dance?" She seem curious now. "I know a few bards and have composed a song myself. When I'm not being active with the Guild or Alliance matters? I hunt, scout for lost things, enjoy ale on occasion." She's a total light weight when it comes to booze. "Also I like learning more about the land and it's people! After all I'm from a Forgotten Relm that is far from Yamato."

At the mention of singing and dancing, she nods her head. "I actually used to do both professionally," she admits. "But that's another place and time. I still like it though." She corks the gourd again, and reties it to her belt. "I really should try to be more active with the guild and alliance." She then looks towards Erufu curiously and tilts her head to the side. "You're from another place? That's actually pretty cool. I don't think I've met someone from outside of Yamato before."

Erufu says "Can you still sing here?" She looks at Himari with some intrest now sizing her up. "There are a few people I need to introduce you to notably Kauchemar and Uta!" She's beaming at this also her ears just wiggled a bit. "I am! There's a few others like me but not many!"

Once again, Himari's ears tilt back slightly. "I-I can still sing. Not as good as I used to, but I can still sing. I suppose with more practice I might get better at it? I mean I no longer shut my tail in doors, so it's possible." She reaches for the gourd again. "Are they Idols, too?" she then asks, looking a bit more hopeful. "I really haven't tried to figure out if I know people."

Erufu says "They are singers of notbale skill and know much about song in this world. In time you may learn some interesing thing about music here. It has a power all of it's own. For good and sometimes ill."

Himari considers what Erufu has said, and offers a nod of her head. "Actually that might be good then," she admits. "There's a lot of things in this world I know nothing about, and it's not good if I stay completely ignorant. Someone might teach me a bad song someday and I'll end up summoning some reality destroying horror if I don't learn."

Erufu says "I have born witness to such song and your wise to catch that so fast. So how about rather than standing out here we get to an Inn I'd be willing to split the cost of a room but I do need to sleep. We can speak further then?"

It seems like Himari is weighing up the options of sleeping outside again, or taking Erufu up on her offer even while ignoring the prospect of actual reality destroying summoning being possible. "That's actually a good idea. It'll be cheaper for us to split a room!" She takes a moment to consider her clothing and nods. "Sure! Let's do it! We can talk about it more tomorrow. Well, today I guess." She then smiles and nods and gets ready to follow the Elf.
