Where Yesterday Meets Tomorrow And They Both Realize They Have Scheduling Conflicts

The Square of Tolbana! It's teeming with Spriggans! Uta, for some reason, seems to enjoy it greatly. She walks among the street, looking at one bearded Spriggan in a mantle, and she goes oooooh, then at a Spriggan mother pulling two children, and she goes aaaaah, and then a group of Spriggan teenagers, which make her go "Uuuuuh..."

Also, another reason why one might suspect she's enjoying this greatly, is the way she says, "Man, I am enjoying this greatly!"

Katherine Tanzeratherine was staying here and has woken up from her wine induced beauty nap. After fixing up her hair and putting on a coat, along with a longer loin-cloth that almost mimics a skirt with high slits on the sides. The exotic imp makes her way out.

As she moves along the road she notes all the spriggans that are about and almost misses Uta, before she does a back hoof step and calls out, "My lady Uta! Oh it has been so long!" Then makes her quick-step, sultry way up to her. "How you been you wonderful little lady you!" With hand gesture to match the words.

Uta's admiration of the local Spriggan fauna is interrupted by Katherine's greeting. "My who what now? Uh? Me?", asks Uta, confused, pointing at her own nose. "You must have confused me with someone els- wait, no, you said Uta. Uh. Well, yes, that would be me- Katherine! Katherine Tanzer, am I right?", the Nurse exclaims, as she snaps her fingers. "I remember you! We went on duties together! And- yes, we haven't met in ages!" A pause. "I have been fine, I think! I spent some time ninja-injecting people with experimental medicine, but it turned out to be just a phase, which seems to be over now. But what about you? Are you here to admire the magnificence of a whole town full of Spriggans yourself?" She exclaims, beaming, gesturing all around.

    "Not exactly.. But given this is Scale territory and that tavern is player ran, it does make a nice place to get a few drinks and such." The imp says this as her tail flicks gently behind her. "But /do/ tell me about these experiments of yours. Come, come! Let us sit down by the fountain hmm?"

She then pulls out from her coat pocket a cloth wrapping of something. "I do have some cookies we can share~!" She says in a sing-songy way.

"Cookies? Actual, real cookies that taste like actual, real cookies?" Uta asks, eyes popping wide and wings springing up in excitement. She'd be terrible at poker.

She leaps and bounds towards the fountain, and sits on its rim.

"Oh, it... I sort of... you know, Landers, unlike us Adventurers, don't have pain dampeners, and carrying out medical procedures on them is... unpleasant. And guess what? The status of the anesthetics was... unsatisfactory, to putit mildly. So I came upwith some anesthetics and painkillers, since they are based on the same neurophysiological mechanisms," she rattles out. She is not nerding out, you are nerding out.

"Oh, yes, and I might have accidentally developed a stealth technique for sneaking up to people and shanking them with a syringe while working on that. You know, as people do," she says, mildly embarrassed as her wings flatten against her back.

"You'll probably find this kind of boring. But what about you? Have you been doing anything of interest of late?"

    Katherina goes to unwrap the cloth as she listens, sitting there at the fountain. She is sitting very lady like, her tail curled next to her legs. "Oh? So you are trying to help the populace increase their medic knowledge? Well that is good to hear! The world could use a bit of good news now and then."

"And I hardly find it boring! After all, these people and threatened day in and day out by this war! If something can be done to ease their suffering all the better!" Katherine then hands Uta a cookie. It looks like a fluffy sugar cookie! "Though I do disagree about sneaking up on people to experiment."

"I... I do realize it wasn't a nice thing to do. But I wasn't really being myself at the time," Uta comments, pulling back in embarrassment about the disagreement, as she nibbles on the cookie. She chews quickly, like a rodent, and swallows. "Or, well, maybe I was being myself too much. Hard to tell when you're in a Strange Mood. They are, by their very definition, Strange."

Uta nods. "I try. I am also trying to organize a cycle of conferences to spread this knowledge. It might prove a massive asset for Yamato against the Palace Lands."

Take cookie, nibble again. "But that will have to wait until I sort out a couple of things. As you probably know, people who complete a Strange Mood receive a quest. I need to follow in the footsteps of those who came before, so I need to find some historical Pharmaceutical breakthrough of note to unearth, and then unearth it, if I want to progress in my quest." Gulp. Swallow. "These cookies are delicious. Did you make them?"

    "I actually bought the cookies from another player! I am glad you are enjoying them!" Katherine says as she goes to take a lady-like bite out of one herself. She chews, swallows then speaks. "And yes, when the goddesses desire us to do their will, they do place us in the oddest states of mind. However, it is also their blessing that we are able to carry out such feats!" Katherine says before she takes another bite.

She then uses her nail carefully to wipe away a crump from her lip. "So, while i can not fault the action, It is interesting that is what unfolded under the goddess' watchful eye "

"I seem to catch the eye of the Beatutiful One a lot, yeah..." Uta mumbles. "Although I might have caught the Blind One's and Burning One's eye once. But it's mostly the Beautiful one." There is hesitation. "Do you think the Beautiful One's disapproving of my actions?", she asks, worried. "Did you research the Goddesses? Are you an expert on them?"

    The imp finishes her cookie as Uta asks her questions. Her tail flicks gently in thought, before she offers Uta another cookie. "I once knew much about our world. The locations, who ruled where, but this world is changing and has changed beyond what I once knew. I am unsure what I know to be true or not anymore." There is a hint of sadness in her voice.

"Mayhaps one days I will find the truths of things again, but that may be some time." Katherine admits as she looks upward. "But does one ever know what the true desire of a god is? Let alone three? Then the monsters themselves even have their believed deities." She admits with an off hand gesture. "Mayhaps you could seek out one who may know more or perhaps, once I am more free of my personal missions, I too will seek such information out, but all in due time."

"Oh, if you ever need assistance in your quests for Lore, just hit me up!", Uta beams. "See, I have been given this power of Loremaster, which involves to be able to learn about Events. Or just look at things and know their general reputation. I will be glad to assist anyone with their quests in unearthing more knowledge about the word, and hopefully spread this knowledge among Lore Enthusiasts." A pause. "Unless it's a... highly sensitive topic. In that case we might need to assess if it's the case to share it."

    Katherine giggles a little before she goes to move to stand up. "You are precious, Uta, my dear." Then Katherine offers her the remaining three cookies in the cloth wrap. "Here, why don't you take these. You can eat them all or share them with your friends." The imp smiles warmly. "But I should be off. Much to do, you see before the day is over."

Katherine then goes to step away while giving you a little wave. "Till next time, little dragonfly."

"All for me? Really?" Uta exclaims.

Wings spring up. -Terrible- at poker I tell you, -terrible-. "Wow, thank you Katherine, uh... er... okay, I am bad at nicknames. See you next time!"

She gesture to activate her chimlink, and enthusiastically exclaims, "GUYS! I have cookies to share! Cookie party at my place!" After some silence and a confused expression, she adds, "...good point, do I even have a place anymore?", a finger resting on her lips in confusion.
