Armored Core and More

Soujiro Seta is out and about. Doing that 'lets take a stroll through town' walk through Dun Loireag. The Samurai always appears to attract a crowd without knowing it. Behind him is a small collection of ladies who are just as busy chatting with themselves as they are totally-not-stalking the blue haired young man. Aha! Miho's shop! The Mithrilscale Ironworks. He heads on in, opening the door to see if Miho is in with an announcement, "Miiihhhoooo cchhhhaaaannnn," in a singsong voice. Chan? "Are you in," he asks, helping himself inside of the shop and looking around while the other, now more flustered, ladies also come in and make the store busier.

Miho is as normal working the forge as normal. hammering away as Souji come on in. She pauses in her work for a moment.

"I am! Give me a moment." She'll finish up the last of the nails she's making and comes out looking rather sooty.

"Yes? I am in what can i do for you?"

Shes looking about for a moment as the ladies come in. "I have your orders ladies." Miho notes as she heads for the counter, tail swishing.

Soujiro Seta, good for business. Not just because he gets new customers through the doors, but several of them found a new interest in the weapons, armors, and accessories in the shop. The little accessory corner gets fawned over in equal measure to a lot of the cute weapon designs like that rapier over there. So light and elegant!

"I wanted to see you," the samurai says in the direct sort of innocent that causes the 'shock!' animation on a could of the ladies. Souji smiles, "We had a great adventure not too long ago and I wanted to know what it was that you were up to." He could have chimmed. But thats not very Souji. "So. Hard at work? Have a big project in the wings?"

Miho will be fetching the wraped packages of the ladies orders and setting them out on the counter as she does so. "You know me if i'm not out partying or adventuring i'm in hte forge. Just general stuff got a order for nails from a couple of local carpenters. So nothing really big at the moment, I'm thinking on a few ideas though! Got a few things from the undead army i could forge into something good."

The ladies all take their packages and immediately start talking to each other about how cool their purchases are. They almost forget to pay, but there is always one responsible one in the group that reminds and then the purchases are all tended at once. "A party," Souji quirks with interest, "that sounds fun. Are there more coming up?" He does love a good party or event. All those smiling faces!

"What are your ideas? A spear that has silver or holy water imbued at the tip? Maybe an axe that burns them up or a sword that can get around that ethereal status that the Reapers use," the weapon fam inquires. Souji haunts by the counter, talking with Miho while business flows around. He takes out two cermaic cups and pours some fresh tea for Miho and himself, "Want some?"

Miho says "I guess i could count for both ways. I had been thinking about a Katana but now I wonder if i could make a Katana that could also transform into a Naginata as well." She sem escited about this idea for a moment. "I could work that into it as well. Tea? I won't say no!"

Soujiro Seta hands over the tea to the hard working smith. He waits until both of them have cups in hand before sipping his own. Refreshing green tea. And it tastes good, so Souji must have some skill in Brewing. "I bet when we go see Glenn that the other parts of the quest would work that way. It has changed so much from when I did it with the DTP. I don't know exactly what to expect, though I suspect it will have the bottom half of the blade and also the catalyst, the dreamstone, before it is all done." The Apoc has changed things. He is genuinely excited to get to redo his favorite quest chain while IN the world.

Miho humms "Well its an actual world and not something dancing to a compture sctipt. I mean it can kill /us/ as the Palace Lander noblity have painfully shown us. Aye a good idea to ahve more people to hunt for. Wait Glenn... dream stone..." She pauses and stare at Soujiro for a moment.

"... open wide the wings of time..."

Soujiro Seta snaps fingers as he points out a cherished MMO tradition of referring to other works of fun fiction. "You got it! An absolute love letter to a classic. A sword, broken. Built to drive back the dark forces," he says with dreamy eyes, thinking of the first time he did the quest. "It took a lot of grinding for the Fantasy grade materials, but even the grind was fun. Little references along the way were the easter eggs to know what monsters to hunt. The full Mune raid was a tough one. We wiped at least three times before Shiroe-sama figured out the strategy behind it. He always does." Adoration sparkles.

Miho thinks for a moment on this. "You really get into this sort of thing I'm still kinda suprised your SEA but what can I say. As for Shiroe? Aye the devil in glasses is quite the man isn't he. I'm just glad he's on Yamato's or at least his own side." She laughs. "We'll see what comes of this quest, no?"

Soujiro Seta offers a laugh at the SEA thing, "Oh I didn't think too hard about it. Scale tackles tough challenges and they scale the Tower." The Tower. Where it all fell apart. Its too late to get answers now about the tenth floor boss. "I do love this world, Miho. The people in it. The quests. There isn't anything I wouldn't do to defend it." He sips his tea thoughtfully, "Which is why I think people should be able to leave if they want to. If you can't then the place I love is no different than a prison." Sip. "But until then we have plenty to do, right? Like this love letter quest. And I got to see Kuroe again. Do it with new friends. So much fun that I did extra training in the morning."

Miho says "Ah I see that's why your there. I tend to be cleaning up the messes the tower pushes /cause/." She muses for a moment about this. "I see no I have my answer now and it's enough for me. Sounds like school in Japan for me. I admit I grew up in the west. I guess it's why I'm a bit of an Oni. At least I didn't come home on a black ship! So long as one is happy, that's the major point yeah?"

Soujiro Seta has one of those warm smiles that says 'everything is going to be alright'. It makes it easy to believe. Paladin aura on a Samurai class. "Exactly. We live in the present, so lets make the present fun, happy, and full of smiles." So simple a way of living but one that he clearly loves. "All the sort of things that we can do as Adventurers? When you step back and think about it, it like a bolt of lightning goes through you. Getting to share the experience with others is what made Fragment so appealing over Elder Tales when it was offline. So when it went ONLINE?" He shakes with excitement, calming down with the tea. "Years later and I still get excited thinking about it. We still hvae a ways until we top out our levels so every new challenge is a whole new adventure." He leans over to ruffle the dirty smith's head, "And you are no Oni. You are a divine dragon and my friend."

Miho says "I could likely bench press a motor cycle now." She grins atr this. "Good by laws of biology of earth IU mean I also breath fire. "You could do LAN with Elder Tale offline but I hear you. It wopuld not be as common." She laughs at this. "Why thank you, I mean I got called an Oni at school."

Soujiro Seta holds a fist tight and shakes it, "If anyone called you an Oni I would kerpow them so fast." Then he releases, "Unless you picked an Oni race, in which case, that would just be what you were." Thar do be Onis running around, after all. "I had a lot of fun at school. Its not too different from here. Lots of new friends to make and things to see and do." To make a point, he puts a hand on a table and lifts himself up, balancing himself out in a plank supported by just his hand, "but you can do this stuff!" Yes, Soujiro has plenty in the physical stats! Vanguard stronk times!

Miho smirrks "So you say." Smart man, very smart man. Miho tail is dancing about as bit as she seems to be thinking about something. "Yes and we need to stop the Palace Landers. Given what they did to the Adventures of the Palace lands..." Tian did a heck of a service getting to know Miho.

"Oh I always been a smith. I took the test and everything."

Soujiro Seta tries not to think too much of the Palace Landers. Dwelling on them sends him to a place that is only filled with pure carnage and no mercy. Nazuna used to claim this was because its two sides of the same coin with someone like Soujiro. To his friends, boundless joy and warmth. To his enemies, not an inch of mercy. "All the more reason to gear up," he says in a 'less than warm tone'. Darkened eyes and everything. He shakes out of it quickly. "Which! I should get this repaired while Im here," he says as he slides open his menu with a hand gesture. The familiar red samurai armor is produced, in his hands. The dents from the last adventure are all over it like a spike trap hit it at full force. "Durability took a real hit last time. Think you can patch it up?"

Miho looks to Soujiro for a moment thinking. "Ah I can fix it up but if I do it by hand it might take a few days to get it all worked out. Is that an issues, I'm decent with armor but I'm no Giganpor."

"I trust you," Soujiro says as he puts a hand on Miho's shoulder. Sparkles. Smiles. "So take as long as you need." The samurai gets his tea as he slips back to give a sip while looking down to Miho, "And introduce me to Giganpor sometime, if they have your endorsement I bet we can all be friends." Well. Maybe. There is still that history there with Scale so maybe not.
