* * * Flashback ripple * * *

A few weeks ago, Uta was doing her best to train her Physical skills. And when you need training, you seek out people who can best help you.

So Uta has heard rumors of a certain Monkey Cait Sith being about this area. Decked in a white martial artist's gi with a nurse's cap, she jogs along the beach, looking around for signs of Wynfei.

All while carrying two large buckets of water, hanging from a pole set across her shoulders.
Wynfei

Wynfei had vanished yet again, only those who really know him understands why he leaves then comes back, though this time there was nothing from him, but he isn't hard to find. He was here in this area, sitting with his back against a large cropping of sand, is Wynfei, he looks to be asleep currently.

Uta slows down her jogging until she stops completely at the sight of the sleeping Wynfei. Her breathing is still quick from all the running, and her forehead is covered in beads of sweat. Panting, she considers her options... until she decides to avoid disturbing him. He probably needs his sleep.

She spins on one foot to turn away, but she trips on a large, gnarled piece of driftwood which sens her slamming face-first onto the sand, and the buckets flying and rolling, with the associate splashing and noise one could expect.

"Now you know better Uta." he says in a sleepy tone of voice. The monkey cait-sith yawns a little bit, "You're balance I hear is off. You shouldn't be sweating that hard from two buckets either." he says as he slowly starts to sit up from where he is. He turns and looks at her a smile on his face but there is concern showing as well. "Been a while Uta, I've missed you." he says to her.

"...They are -large- buckets!", Uta whimpers. "Like, they're larger than my head! Since The Accident, I made sure they're -abundantly- larger than my head, as opposed to just about the right size to get my head stuck in and-"

Silence, as she pushes herself up to stand. "...Hi Wynfei," she finally mumbles, embarrassed, looking away and scratching the back of her head. "I've missed you too."

She the begins to look around, at the water spilled all over the place, and her whole front self covered in sand. "Ah, dang." She looks around tapping her lips. "No clean water to menu clean. Hmmm. I suppose I'll have to get creative here..."

He smiles, "I know and I told you to use larger buckets. I'm glad my teachings carried." he laughs. "So what brings you all the way out here to find me?" he asks as he raises to his feet. He does see the water that splashed down all over her front. Once he gets close enough he crouches down and looks to her. Taking a moment to listen, Wynfei offers a ear and uses the tip of his tail to wipe the sweat off her brow.

"Huh" he asks. "There is plenty of water around, unless you're looking for soapy water and well I'm about out of soap." he grins.

"Of course I remembered! It is the winning combination of a wise teacher and the urge not to get one's head stuck into a bucket until I could have someone remove it. Which, well, as a healer and health professional, is a bit embarrassing," she mumbles.

Uta sneezes in response to Wynfei's tail wiping her brow. Monkey fur? She rubs the lower part of her nose with one finger, squinting, and waves the other hand in dismissal, "I don't know, it's -sea- water. I am not sure it will work for cleaning purposes. I thought I needed fresh water? You know, without salt?"

She looks up and away tipping her lips. "I wonder if..." and shakes her head. "Nnnaaaaah... let's try something different."

That said, Uta intones a powerful, rhyhmic yet breezy melody, with raspy sound thrown in every ow and then, and colorful tendrils of light and magic in tones of red and orange dance on her gloves.

Elemental Earth magic, pulling the sand out of herself and drawing it around with flourishes of her hand in a dance in the air.
5rBubbly undertones are added to the melody, and with her other hand, also enveloped by different hues of blue, draw the water out of her clothes.

The two streams, sand and water, swirled around to follow the melody, like ribbons.

Wynfei has noticed she didn't answer why she was here but he would not press her on that. It was just good to see an old friend for now and he chuckles at her as she sneezes. He is quiet as she speaks but when she begins to use her magic, he leans back and keeps quiet as she goes about what she is doing, pulling the sand and water from her. He grins a bit and then frowns slightly though he turns hsi head to look out at the water when he does. "You're right, salt water isn't good for cleaning. Not really good for much. I should know......" he trails off and after a moment he shakes his head and leaves those bad thoughs there.

"Can still be boiled," Uta offers. "One can capture condensation, collect it into a container, and drink it. Also, it's good for sailing on. Without seawater, ships would be stuck on land, and we'd have to pushe them all the way to the destination over a dry sea bottom. That'd be a lot of effort!", the Spriggan rambles on before blinking, shaking her head, and commenting, "Oh, sorry, I forgot to answer your question from earlier." She clears her throat, and announces, standing on the tip of her toes (to look taller and slightly more impressive)? "I have decided to train. Take my Physical prowess to the next level. Challenges keep increasing in difficulty, and, well..." she trails off.

Silence.

"...what did seawater do to you anyway?"
Wynfei

Wynfei chuckles as she gets on her tippy toes and he watches her as she speaks to him. "Well I'm more then happy to help train you. I did once before some time ago." he says to her. "You're also right about boiling the water and using the condensation as well to make some type of drinking or cleaning water." he rubs his face. Though he looks away when she asks what the seawater do to him, "It wouldn't let me go to the bottom." he says in a quiet voice.

Shame shows on his face as he looks down, his tail drooping. This is far different then the monkey she knew some time ago, full of fire and life and always with a smile on his face. It looks like he's been dealing with a few things.

"Oh, yeah. Buoyancy," Uta replies to Wynfei, trying to sound like she knows exactly what she's on about but sounding like someone who has absolutely no idea of what they're on about. "Curse you, buoyancy, shattering our hopes and dreams!", she offers, in the hope that this helps the conversation.

"Yes, yes, we did, we did, and I'll be more than glad to-" She quirks an eyebrow, and tilts her head at Wynfei. "Something wrong?" She walks next to him, and sits cross-leged on the sand. "If you want to talk, I can listen." A beat. "Or we can talk while we train? If you want to train that's fine. Sometimes punching and kicking a friend is exactly what you need to get a weight off your chest."

Wynfei looks to Uta when she sits in front of him, "I tried to do something that I know my family and some of you would be really mad at me for." he says to her. Wynfei lowers his head, then he sits down and looks to her. "I thought about it, just though maybe I would be the one to get out and see my family and then try to help all of you to get out of here y'know." he says to her.

Wynfei looks out at the water, and he shakes his head, "But I couldn't do it. I was raised not to give in, even when things got bad. Uta I tried to..." he pauses as he looks to her, confiding into a old friend of what he attempted but couldn't go through with. "Please don't be upset with me."
Uta
Yamato - -45 - 12 - 0

"There are only a small handful of specific things that would make me upset with someone. And none of them I either would expect from someone with your personality, or have anything to do with seawater." A smile. A pause. "I tried to be upset at someone I've met in this game. Fate made it so I could not. So, go ahead," she says. "I will not be upset with you. It's a promise."
Wynfei

Quirking a brow, then he shakes his ehad. "You confused me. I'm not wanting to do it anymore, I thought about ending it, but I couldn't I swam back to the surface and stayed here ever since." he says. "I don't want to die anymore. I know that will not be something my family would've wanted nor I want. Also a lot of you entered my mind as I was about to." he shakes his head and looks out at the water, "Besides, I want us all to get out together and we have a lot of work to do especially me." he chuckles a bit.
Uta

"Pft," Uta says, with a dismissive gesture, as if for saying, not a big deal. "A lot of us did not know that death was actually dangerous until the Uncrowned from the Palace Lands did so. You honestly thought that dying would log you out of the game and return you to the outside world, right? Seriously, nobody of us has any clue of what is going on. Your guess as to what was needed to get out would have been as good as anyone else's," she says, with a sigh. She hugs her knees. "Not sure why you, especially, would have so much work to do." She turns towards him and smiles. "You said it, right? We are a team?", she says, and offers one hand.
Wynfei

He smiles, "I did forget about that, as I was around from time to time." he shakes his head, "I of all people got depressed, I swear I feel more embarrassed then anything else." he tells Uta. When she hugs her knees he scoops her up and gives her one of those monkey fren hugs. "No more looking down or being down." he smiles. "I will make that promise, here and now."
Uta

Uta keeps silent for a bit after the gentle display of friendship. She is not much into hugs herself, but she makes an awkward exception this time, reciprocating the gesture.

"There is a lot all of us are going through," she tells Wynfei. "You are not the only one who had dark thoughts. Apparently, I am considered a good listener, and people told me... things." More silence follows, ended by a smile, "I am glad that you got over it, though. The past is the past..." she says, tilting her head upward and offering a hand to Wynfei, asking to be helped to get up. "...no more looking down, or being down..." she begins. "...because we have friend. If you will need me, I will be there for you. I will make that promise, here and now. That is why I am training: to fight for a better future, to be more ready to face it."
Wynfei

Wynfei helps Uta up and he nods, "Thanks Uta and you are a good listener but sometimes I know there are limits." he says as he looks to her. "Well if you're training then I will train you and I will get my ass up and train with you." he chuckles. "I will not start today though, but we will begin tomorrow, make sure you're here very early in the morning. I will test you and go from there, it's been a while so be ready Uta."
Uta
Yamato - -45 - 12 - 0

"I will be ready!", Uta exclaims, clenching a fist! Burning shounen determination in her eyes. "I will looking forward to that. Tomorrow, tomorrow is going to be a better day!", she exclaims. And turns to the pole and buckets still lying on the ground. She scratches her head, and sighs as she crosses her arms. "...tomorrow is going to be a better day because I will not have to pick up this mess... ah well!"

And that says, she picks up the pieces. To resume her training.
