Elf Inn The Return

Erufu is in a maid outfit, yes a maid outfit. It was likely the doings of a certain priestess. She's busy sweeping away and it looks like the pointy eared wonder has been cleaning for some time. She's also been singing all the while so people passing by could easily hear her singing.

Yeowang has, in fact, heard the singing, and comes in to see what the singing is about. It is apparently about maids on parade. She's used to maids, there were several in her home, but the maids here are something else again. The uniform is almost the only similarily. She's honestly not sure what it's about, and does not ask because the answer may not be one she'd like to hear.

"Good afternoon," she calls in greeting. "How is business?" Because that's Yeowang's main angle in this game. Apart from martial arts. It's amazing how useful that has turned out to be.

Erufu looks up from her sweeping beaming. "Good afternoon and welcome to the Green Dragon! We're still getting things back in order here! I'm hopeful to get things going the way they should be soon though! At least the Palace Landers didn't wreck the building! Though they ate and drank all the stock."

Yeowang nods about the Palace Landers being poor stewards of the inn. "Their logistic chain was substantially longer than ours," she admits. "And ours is not nice. Anything we can't make has to come by sea, and the kingdoms have commandeered everything that can raise a sail for their own navies." She explains, "I had tried to clear an overland route; that would open us up to far more trade, but it was just too daunting and not possible for me by myself with everything else going on." She shrugs.

"That said, /some/ supplies are getting through, and of course there's what we can hunt and farm locally. What do you need most?"

Erufu leans on her broom for the moment she thinks for a momen more. "Aye it is hard but I'm looking for food and drink. With stock I can open again and the cook can whip up a new menu with what we have on hand." She looks Yeowang over for a moment. "Hopefully Fuka's idea will pan out in time as well."

Yeowang nods about Fuka's caravan idea, but says, "It will be slow doing, I'm afraid to say. Things are tight all over, and the convoy system is not appreciated here in Yamato. I am not sure if they think that the value is less than we expect it to be, or if we expect greater value than it will have. War here is not like war in Real Life was. For that matter, war now is not like war was when convoys proved their value. I cannot even speculate whether convoys would be of use with magic and Undines and such." She does not pretend to be a strategist or tactician.

"But we can get you ingredients, at least. Huntimg is still good in the area, if you are happy with the daily special being whatever the hunters can find. As for drink, tea is fine, or water if tea cannot be found. Many prefer luxury items," and so does she, if they're available, "but we must make do with what we have."

Erufu says "Still it will be worth it in the end I think. That works I'll be happy to buy from you. I also need to check up with Cowgirl and her uncle to see if they have any produce for sale again. I know Rizadoman is in love with their farm's cheese. Aye I intend to get to that to help restock once I'm done cleaning up here. I also need to see a certain Hunter is doing all right."

Yeowang smirks at Rizadoman and his cheese habit. "I wonder if he can even metabolize cheese. Is he a lizard or a man? Or does he not metabolize it at all and simply likes it because it's .. wait. I'm thinking about this wrong, aren't I?" She's thinking about it in an RP way, which Erufu is probably fine with. What she's come to conclude is Riza's player was lactose intolerant, and Riza's OK with it, and that's what he's happy abuot. But she won't bother Erufu with that, she knows Erufu is one of the serious RPers.

"I'll see what I can hunt up locally," she agrees. "It'll probably have to be stew and other simple things at first until we can get things built up or get shipments in locally."

Erufu just shrugs. "Well he eats it loves it and does not get sick from it. What is there to worry about?" She seems amused about the whole cheese thing but will never reveal the truth she knows. That would break charater and she'll die before she does that. Her ears wiggle a bit for a moment.

"That is fine I'll be happy to get us open again and be able to start paying my staff again!"

Yeowang does not pry about Riza, that's his business and not hers, and she perhaps doesn't know about Riza and Erufu knowing each other in RL. There's a lot of the less apparent things that she's completely ignored in her effort to master the few things she does well. Which brings up another thing that she's been meaning to discuss. "I wonder if it's possible for you to help me with archery? I find it's used more often than I'd expected, and I've got a basic capability, but not any sort of advanced skill."

She arches a brow about paying staff, and says, "/That/ is easily solved." Considering she's the sole owner of Yamato's only lending bank. But given the nature of the war, she says, "Reconstruction loans will be at no interest, of course. How much do you need to get things started?" Because gold, she has a-plenty, and the more it moves aroud, the more comes back.

Erufu says "I would be happy to teach you if you are interested." She really perks up at this. 5R
"Well if there is no work for them I can't have them work now can I? I have some coin still I just need to get thing running again if i have to I will take a loan and i'd trust to do it from you." She thinks for a moment.

"How about we talk the details of that now?"

Yeowang smiles at Erufu agreeing to teach her archery, though she says, "It will have to come after one thing. Or actually two, now that I think about it. I'd almost forgotten my old plan, it's been so long putting together," she admits. "And I do need to work on my martial arts first. It's still not quite up to where I was, but it's getting closer." She smiles, and will delve into whatever details Erufu has now, and we can plan for future events.
