Phantom Colosseum Clearing: The Phantom City

With interest being pushed towards clearing the Phantom Colosseum and rendering it into the hands of players, a foothold will need to be made. Launching off from a pier on a nearby island is good and all, but having a base of operations on the island itself will make for an easier time in pushing back and eliminating the Sahuagin who have taken up residence on the island.

Fukasa Yuri
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Normally, the arrival to the Phantom Colosseum is on a small fishing boat. Normally, it's a quick run through the city to get into the colosseum itself. This time? This time it's on a proper full sized boat navigating to the Atoll to make its way to the port. Sure, the lander-run vessel wouldn't make land, that's too dangerous, but it moved close enough that several smaller ships could make land with the adventurers intent on clearing and fortifying a 'home base' in the city. One of these smaller ships is loaded with a lighter load of adventurers than the others, in spite of being the largest one off of the main ship, as it's carrying several large pieces of wood that could be used to barricade the doorways and windows of one of the larger buildings of the city if need be.

At the helm of that larger landing ship is Fukasa Yuri, her spear already out and swimming beside her ship is her monster pufferfish, which were helping to tug the heavily laden ship to shore. "ALRIGHT! OUR PLAN IS SIMPLE FOR NOW: ENTER THE CITY, FIGHT OUR WAY TO THE CENTER OF IT, AND DESTROY THE HEART OF THE CITY! THE CITY IS MUCH LOWER LEVEL IN GENERAL THAN THE COLOSSEUM ITSELF, SO THIS SHOULD BE A WALK IN THE PARK FOR SEASONED ADVENTURERS LIKE OURSELVES. DO NOT GIVE THE SAHUAGIN ANY QUARTER, TODAY SHALL BE A BLOOD BATH AND FISHMAN FRY!" Yuri yells out, holding her spear in the air with a wild grin splitting her lips. Already, as the boats near the docks, Sahuagin were starting to run to defensive positions, preparing for the oncoming adventurer attack.

A walk in the park, huh?

If only anything in this world were that easy.
Yeowang
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Yeowang is in one of the lead boats, looking out fiercely at the forces that will be opposing our landing. "No quarter asked, none given," she repeats back her instructions, and when the boat reaches shore, she will jump onto the beach, and start laying into the sahaugin without hesitation, kicks, punches, elbow and knee strikes, a blaze of martial arts, and it's pretty clear from how she moves that she knew how to fight before the game. The typical adventurer style martial arts are of the wuxia style, whereas hers are entirely based on RL, and brutally down to earth for all that. The way to end a fight quickly is to hit faster and harder than your opponent, and Yeowang is all that.
Haru
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

"This is different," Haru says as he adjusts his cloak for the naval passage over to the atoll. He has made many number of trips into clearing the dungeon out. There have been sirens, crabs, angry fish people, a pirate, and of course plenty of water. This is more akin to a full on raid. World event stuff. As such the Silver Sword Commander has been going over logistics in the captain quarters of a boat. Equipment. Personnel. Consumables. He steps out in time for a sea misting and a rousing rally.

"Shouldn't take us long to secure," the man with the monocle says. Cocky, sure, but he spent time running the numbers too. Haru draws his hood back and calls out his water sprite, a large ice-blue lion-dog like creature and climbs aboard his monster mount.
Fukasa Yuri
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

No quarter asked, none given. Good. A good response from Yeowang. Yuri could get behind that. The Sahuagin were much less behind this, as the adventurers begin to clash with them almost immediately, Yeowang's brutal and straightforward martial arts helping to secure the initial footing into the city itself.
Haru's joining of the group is met with a cheer at his statement, as the battle begins to rage, Sahuagin rapidly dispatched by adventurer forces. Of course, this was just to make landfall. The true combat would come later, as this first encounter was just that. The first encounter, and one that Yuri seems to have no interest in relishing the victory of. With barely even time to loot the corpses, her and a small party of adventurers were pushing forward, several earth sprites being summoned to assist in unloading and pushing the cart full of materials onto shore. "Push forward! The longer the take, the more Sahuagin adds will come!" Yuri shouts, as her monster pufferfish leap out of the water, unleashing sprays of water to take out a pair of Sahuagin approaching the cart. "And if this cart breaks, it's sure as hell going to be harder to carry this shit!"
Yeowang
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Yeowang will push forward when the order is given, but in truth she'd been pushing forward the entire time. It's just impossible at first to make headway against the volume of monsters. But as the assault begins to show an effect, Yeowang will press forward as much as the space allows, forcing the sahaugin back with every blow and kick. A few get thrown bodily back to make room and to allow another stride forward, they are then dealt with when the melee reaches that location. She's a pure DPS type, though, this sort of front-line fighting takes a toll in HP, but she continues to fight on regardless, smashing the sahaugin with heavy blows.
Hifumi
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Hifumi hmms, Snapdragon on his shoulder. "If you get any good meat or other edible drops keep me in mind." he says. Having handed out Tasty Rat Bento's with sides of Pickled Triffid Salad on the ship he runs through a few things chatting with the little flower dragon resting on his shoulder.
Gwen
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Gwen had been thinking of changing her look a bit to something more 'normal' for her btu that doesn't last long as she's dragoon into dealin with a fish army. Be Gwen back in about 2005 to 2006 the murloc noises. A day that made her declare extermanius on fishmen in every game she played. Given this world the fish men are giant assholes it contiunes here.

"WHY WOULD I SPARE MURLOCS?!"

Gwen bellows for the moment she's clad in full plate for the moment as she uses a large two handed blade on the fish men.

"BACK YOU SPAWN OF LOVECRAFT BACK!"
Curtana
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Curtana may have been a little late charging forward in the initial rush onto the island, but that's because had gone around to launch his own pincer attack on the fishmen. While they would have been rushing to defend the docks, the Pooka knight had gone ashore seperate from the other forces. But not with his own boat, nothing like that. Instead, the armor-clad knight walked across the water itself, ripples of energy trailing from his footsteps as he charged over the waves.

This assault becomes apparant as a longsword engulfed with flames is flung forward, cleaving several of the lower-leveled sahagin easily before returning to Curtana. Slamming his shield to deflect a spear made of jagged fishbone, he charges headlong to slam the Sahagin Deepfisher into a wall, shattering it. "I'll keep an eye on the wagon!" Curtana is doing plenty of things, even keeping tabs on his allies' health, but he is pointedly not looking at one Adventurer in particular.
Haru
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Haru stays towards the back of the formation as it presses onward. The Enchanter has low armor class and health by the way the class works out, but his mana pools are deep reserves to pull from. It helps in the prolonged engagement as his four golf ball sized stones whirl around him, shooting out a hail of magic missiles that dakka dakka dakka the fast and flighty fight fighter that rush the cart. Boom. Shatter. "Welcome to any I find," the man with the monocle says as he turns his attention to another group, laying down a Wave Arte that leaves the whole enemy party blind, "but it'll be few and far between, Hifumi. No ranks in Hunting." Course he is pretty sure that doesn't apply to humanoid loot.

The Artificer leans on his summoning aspect to do the front line level fighting, his Water summon rending with talons of ice and a maw of a great feline. "Mind your Mana, group 2," the commander chims out after a glance of the raid screen, "group 3 is close enough to relief if your potions and sustain abilities are on cooldown. Its an endurance game until we drive further in, pace yourself." A hand is pressed to his side as he chims. It isn't necessary but it feels right. Silver Sword still have a reputation to keep up with for combat and exploration both and although they didn't get the Howling Commander, Craft Commander still has its perks. With the sweet sweet loot.
Fukasa Yuri
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Pure DPS types are good, and several of the adventurers brought along with them were the support types, a few basic healers at least. They weren't as high leveled, perhaps, but they were there, small bursts of healing to assist those such as Yeowang that the combat was taking toll on their HP.
"Good to see you, Hifumi. There's a giant crab on the other side of the island you can hunt after we're done. It's a persistent spawn. Take a few people with you though. It's tough." Yuri greets Hifumi, her spear pointed at one of the Sahuagin as one of her summoned pufferfish unleashes another torrent of water towards it, surprisingly effective for a water attack on a water monster. "Also I think that possibly Sahuagin meat is edible? I haven't ever had it drop though."
Meanwhile, Gwen cuts a wide swath through the 'murlocs', many of them hesitant to approach the great-sword wielding woman screaming about murlocs. Whatever those are, the movement got further into the city, slowly continuing towards the main square as the wagon roll its way forward. Slowly but steadily.
And Haru's expert guidance continues to keep the groups of less seasoned adventurers from pushing too hard or overwhelming themselves by wasting their mana too quickly. And soon? Soon they pushed properly into the central square. A large road leads off towards the colosseum, where several Sahuagin were coming from, but the vast majoriity were coming from a smaller road that leads up to a small mansion, presumably where the once-mayor of the city lived. And from that smaller road a rumbling thunder is heard. A torrent of water shortly follows, several clouds hovering above a form that rolls down the smaller road, and a massive, burly... merman holding a trident becomes visible, lightning striking regularly in the area surrounding it.

            <Ancient Sea Lord>
            The Storm Summoner.

===Boss Fight: INITIATE.===
Yeowang
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Yeowang will, when and as she's reminded, drop healing spells to replentish her spent HP. It may surprise some to know that she can do this, after all, her main avocation is the huge DPS she generates, but all melee DPS classes are balanced to some extent to do that task, and so, rather than tough out long fights, the Shadowfist is expected to perform a limited amount of self-heals to make up for the lack of defensive capability. It takes away from her offensive output, but not eough to slow the group down. The heals received from dedicated healers make up the lion's share of the healing she receives, and that's what allows her to stay in the lead in this assault.

As the boss battle music comes up and the Ancient Sea Lord makes an appearance, she wonders, "Jackie Fisher?" But it's apparently a /different/ sea lord we're facing. This doesn't really change Yeowang's tactics much, she leads off with a hard attack, her leg falling like a headsman's axe on her enemies, lopping off HP in huge chunks as she takes part in this savage assault.
Curtana
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

The one-man assault is going relatively well for Curtana, due to the differences in levels with the fishfolk and his platemail softening any blows not outright blocked by his kiteshield. This allows him to keep pressure off the weaker Adventurers assisting with the assault, though even his high defense doesn't stop his HP from slowly ticking down.

Joining the main assault as it reaches the Central Square, Curtana takes a moment to quaff one of his homemade health potions before letting out a sigh of relief. "Everyone hanging in there, I hope?" Battles like these are always chaotic, and with them raiding a monster-infested town, it's only a matter of time before one of the bigger sahagin take notice.

Case in point, the Storm Summoner rushes into the battlefield, but with that dramatic entrance it made, it can distract from the hoard of lower level enemies still pouring in. Best if he distract them while his allies are focused on the greater threat. "Face judgement from the light!" With a quick chant and holding his longsword aloft, a blinding burst of light radiates from the sword, stinging the fishfolk near him.
Gwen

AS the fishmen go down somehing els eis going on.

"If it's a mangrove crab I'm out."

She notes about the crab.

"I'd got no intrest in eating them either"

She's clearly got a hate for fishmena nd now as the big one comes up she look at the Sear Lord for a moment and starts chanting she ends up hoving off the ground for a moment as lighning arcs about her body she raises one hand and points it at the Sea lord.

"LIGHTING BLAAAAAAAAAASTTTTTTT"

A powerful bolt of energy leaps from her finger tips heading right for the boss...
Haru
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Haru holds a hand up when the raid gets into the heart of the city. He directs the lower level junior Adventurers to defensive positions near the cart and their melee counterparts to press back against the constant horde. "Good job, keep up that pace and we will maintain for the full fight," he says with a steely confidence. It is the thunder and lightning that causes his head to turn over his shoulder. The mist of water. The cool air that makes those silvery strands away like waves upon the ocean.

"The heavy hitter has made itself known," Haru says as he turns fully to face the threat. "Leave this one to us, we all have our role to play in securing victory today." The 'us' in question happens to be the high level Adventurers. Those that can take a hit from something that beastly. The Enchanter switches to his Party-Chim instead of Raid-Chim, "Opening with the caltrops in five." The Wave Arte to this one is a subtle cast. It starts as all his subtles do, with the Ioun Stones swirling about him in patterns of red, blue, cyan, and green. They pulse their metallic color as if signaling, their light reflecting against the rushing water.

Two of the stones drop, creating between them a line of red energy. Haru places a hand on either of his floating orbs, pressing down into them as the energy sinks into the earth itself. 3...2...1... Spikes of Earth piston straight up and out, red as the sun and cooling off in the water. They aim back at the rushing current, creating barriers to crash against, run up, and most importantly impale in a series of ground spikes to the Ancient Lord.
Hifumi
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Hifumi looks over the approaching horde, he isn't really build to do boss damage, he's support and healing mostly and that's from his food. So he taps Snapdragon on the muzzle "Alright little friend, fire might work here, but I think it'll be better if we hit them with a bit of a DOT okay? You head out there and just give them all the pollen you have, lets see if a bit of a poison debuff won't slow them down hmm?" he nods as the small drake made of flowers and leaves leaps from his shoulder to flap towards the devilfish men and starts laying down lines of sticky yellow pollen breath tagging them with a debuff that should at least help out with thinning the herd... school... do humanoid fish school... it's probably a school.
Fukasa Yuri
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

The battle begins .. or rather, continues with an immediate, vicious axe kick straight towards the head of the Sea Lord! Immediately upon striking with a melee attack, the cloud hovering above the Sea Lord's head fires a retaliatory bolt of lightning, which is followed up by a strike from the Ancient Sea Lord towards Yeowang, attempting to spear her with its trident!
Meanwhile, Curtana's holy blast strikes thrue, a blast of light striking and stinging the fishfolk nearby, some of them recoiling from the sudden burst of light and squinting their eyes, though it is shortly responded to with several Sahuagin javelin-throwers chucking javelins at him! "Holding up pretty well!" Calls back Sir Vey towards Curtana, one of the other tanks on the front line with him. Yes. Yes he does think he's funny. He occasionally actually is, even. When he's not making people groan with punishment.
Gwen's lightning blast rips over the sea lord, dealing... slightly reduced damage, though fighting fire with fire is surprisingly still somewhat effective, likely due to the base monster being a water monster, weak to electrical attacks. The Sea Lord's response is to lift its off hand, directing a bolt of lightning straight back towards Gwen in retaliation!
Meanwhile, Haru's wise movements seem to help protect the cart, which a small force of Sahuagin has begun to attack, filtering in from behind and starting to assault those less experienced adventurers! Several blasts of water sent towards the cart, along with those inexperienced adventurers. As those caltrops are set up, the sea lord continued its movements, and triggered the caltrop lines! Several of the ground spikes stabbing into the Ancient Lord, causing damage to it! The sky overhead begins to rumble with a brewing storm, lightning striking down in several places among the adventurer forces -- one of which is Haru's location. Though not directly striking him, he is in range for a possible AoE blast from the lightning strike!
Meanwhile, Hifumi sends his Snapdragon Friend to go unleash a burst of yellow pollen breath that coats several of the Sahuagin, their HP beginning to rapidly tick down while they occasionally cough from poison coursing through their veins.
Last but not least, Fukasa Yuri twirls the blade of her spear around several times, before flashing forward with a smirk, the points of her trident dragged along the road, several sparks coming off of it as she brings it up towards the Ancient Sea Lord, a whirling disk flying vertically towards the center of the Sea Lord's chest to cut into it with its razor edge! Almost immediately, lightning crashes at Yuri's location, forcing her to back off and possibly dealing damage to her.
Gwen
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Gwen is not happy with the boss it's a big fish man type thing and it's clerar She want to kill it as fast as humanly possible. She shive lef tand right and knos what elemental type to let lose on the Sea Lord as she's not even stopping. Air magic is the best she has and she might be able to overpower it just with pure output.

She pops an Anchor Howl draling the boss attention away for a moment and keeping her from being harmed. She's quick to counter attack too.

"DIVINE WIND!"

Time to spook everyone she knows /again/ with said attack name as she let lose into savage wind based melee attacks upon the Sea King!
Curtana
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Eyes widening in surprise as the bone-tipped javalins are flung right for him, Curtana slams a metal boot on the ground. Small rocky boulders launch upwards from the earth, blocking the vast majority of the spears, yet one hits his shoulder and bounces off. Glancing to the side, the Pooka mentally winces as he realizes who spoke. Sir Vey is a skilled tank as well, but the name...he would be lying to say it didn't bother him. "Good! Keep an eye on the right flank though, Vey! They-duck!" He wasn't the only one targetted by those javalins, he just hopes that his warning was quick enough.

Glancing over to the Ancient Sea Lord and seeing the battle going well, Curtana focuses at the closer enemies at hand. Rearing his longsword back, he engulfs the plain sword in flame before throwing it forward at a nearby cluster of sahagin. The heated blade cuts through several of the fishfolk like butter, and the intensity of the flames is enough that even those that dodged the blade itself gained the Burning debuff. The hedgeknight catches and releases his sword multiple times, helping to clear up the hoard.
Yeowang
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Yeowang's all-out assault on the Ancient Sea Lord is not, perhaps, as all-out as it seems. She has maintained enough presence of mind to maintain her full defensive stance, and she stays clear of lighning and trident both, through judicious use of clever positioning and movement in her attack pattern that has, so far, kept her a step ahead of those heavy attacks and crashing thunderbolts.

Her counterattack is necessarily abbreviated, without the time and place to do a full windup and punch. But she doesn't /need/ all that, she can concentrate the full force and impact of a telling blow into an inch of actual motion. Two and a half centimeters is all that's needed for her strike to build up to full power, slamming into the Sea Lord and costing him another big chunk of HP. She, at least, may now be able to stand with her Guildies and the other seriouus gamers, rather than playing catchup on fighting skills as she's done for so long in this game.
Hifumi
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Hifumi calls back Snapdragon, the little summon flapping back to land on his shoulder. "Don't forget to activate the strength buff from your Tasty Rat Bento." he calls out. The chef pulls out his kisiri and has Snapdragon use a little flick of flame to light his tobacco. Yup, the Chloromancer has his pet plant dragon light his pipe mid combat cause he's support and no one is dying right now, so smoke break is totally justified.
Haru
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Haru's body shimmers in an angular shell of stained glass. Silvery lines form polygonal panes around him with the vibrant colors attuned to dampening the effects of Wave Artes against him. This pulses his movement back far enough to be outside of the AoE range in a backstep. "I can use this," the man with the monocle says, the Ioun Stones low to the ground drawing the elecrtical discharge and sparking off as broken satelites. Overcharged.

The green Ioun stone is tossed forward, seeming to stop midaid as if something 'caught' it instead of hurling forward like a baseball. Gravity wells around the stone as chunks of earth ker-thunk-towards the center. Piece by Piece Haru summons his biggest Elemental Companion, Terra, that stands four meters tall with an Ioun Stone at the core of her heart. It looks more akin to a machine of war as the overcharged stones lock into her drill-like arms causing them to spark as mana overflows. It is enough to be felt on the air, much like the Lord's storm, only it is not Air. It is raw arcane power.

Haru climbs up, holding on the edge of Terra as he reaches the top. A finger lines up against his silver monocle. Relic Activated. Target Acquired: Ancient Sea Lord. Power at Sixty Percent. Assessing Weak Points. Power at Seventy Percent. Weak Point Identified. Power at Eighty... "Got you." He releases the stored energy from the stones and the energy levels burst to 120 percent. The Enchanter and his Summon aim the weapon line a cannon of pure black-purple force as it rips down the battlefield at the boss. Big honkin' Magic Attack.
Fukasa Yuri
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Look, giant mermen are technically big fish guys, but they're definitely not murlocs! The Ancient Sea Lord would be offended, if it could read Gwen's thoughts, at least. It was not like its lowly minions! The Ancient Sea Lord turned its gaze towards Gwen as she called its attention to her, and that savage wind-based melee attack comes in towards it! ... ... And is deflected by several quick movements of the Ancient Sea Lord's trident!
"Yes Sir!" Vey responds quickly towards Curtana at that direction, a javelin coming towards him that he mostly manages to avoid. Unfortunately, the cart was not nearly as lucky, as several of the javelins strike its wheels, a few of the spokes cracking, though the wheels still holding the cart. For now. Meanwhile, the counterattack with flaming sword is... surprisingly effective against the horde, dealing moderate damage to a few of the individuals! Unfortunately, as it was only him and a few of the three groups dealing damage to the horde, progress was ending up slower than the combat with the Ancient Sea Lord.
Speaking of which, the Ancient Sea Lord was being counter-attacked by a quick short strike that caused its health bar to chunk down, the Ancient Sea Lord physically forced back by the strike from the martial artist, it almost seeming to stumble, even though it's kind of more just swimming in its own tide than standing, being a giant, jacked merman. Hifumi reminds the adventurers to use their tasty rat bentos, which several of the soldiers do, taking shifts to swap out and eat their bentos and take advantage of the strength buff which causes them to be able to fight harder and make more progress than before!
Terra is summoned, electrical energy and arcane power causing the air to be charged and cause the hair on the back of one's neck to stand on end, several of the mages of the group shuffling uncomfortably at the feeling. That feeling usually meant danger. A danger made very present suddenly, as Haru's summon unleashes a massive mana cannon towards the Ancient Sea Lord, engulfing it and removing a large chunk of its health.
... The true danger was yet to come though, as Fukasa Yuri smoothly slides on the surface of the water around a blast of lightning. "Any allies who don't want to burn, get clear of melee distance! Come forth, my darling triad! Unleash hell upon this beast within your Blistering Depths!" Her trident is spun in the air, three summon circles appearing around the edges of her trident, before settling into place in a triangle around the boss. A Sand-swimming beetle, a salamander, and a monster pufferfush all rising out of the circles and unleashing their attacks in waves, the beetle first creating an earthen coffin around the boss, then a massive burst of fire heating the earthen coffin into a molten coffin. A final wave of water from the monster pufferfish surrounds the coffin, hot and cold meeting to cause an almost explosive expansion of blistering hot water, molten rock fragmenting and bursting from the center, as the Ancient Sea Lord is revealed once more, now covered in awful burns that makes it scream within its scalding, watery prison.

The smell of ozone suddenly bites into the air, as the Ancient Sea Lord lets out an awful screech, those clouds overhead swirling suddenly as bolts of lightning strike down rapidly all at once over the battlefield, the lightning arcing together. The entire raid party has to start running, as those arcs hit the center of the lightning strike, an explosion of electrical energy spreads suddenly out over the entire battlefield! Even the Sahuagin Horde having to flee from range. The only thing left unscathed that remained in the massive AoE being the Ancient Sea Lord itself, lightning arcing over it and its trident as it gives a low, dark chuckle. Tremble before the might of the sea.
Haru
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Haru isn't going anywhere anytime soon with holding back a beam the size of a grain silo. Yet still a minor prelude to the big attack. The earth continues to be present as the lightning rains down, hunkering with earthen shielding from his summon as it crashes over the otherwise cloth-like armor the Enchanter wears. A final release of his summon takes the earth energy in a series of vine-like lashes out from the ground to bind and burn with the energy scorched into the rock themselves.
Yeowang
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Yeowang's agility and ability to predict attacks lasts a bit longer, it seems, before fading out entirely, her Seikuken from before along with her finely tuned defensive skills allowing her to remain, just barely, ahead of the terrible onslaught of lightning. When the storm fades and it's safe to approach again, she will, but not a moment before.

But having backed off so far, there's a question of how to get back into the melee fastest. This is accomplished by executing a flying roundhouse kick to the Sea Lord, leaping, spinning, combining the rotational and charging energy into one solid hit that will cost this boss a big chunk of HP.

Tastey Rat Bento, she'd have issues about rat but Hifumi is kind of wizard when it comes to food and she's happy for the hp. She hears the warning about what's comming.

"PROTECT!"

A glowing barrier forms about Gwen protecting her from this latest attack, then a moment later she's charging at the boss again screaming, also is that a texas accent yes and she's sounding like a certain pistol packing Man named Sam as she leaps at it.

"SONIC LUNGE!"
Curtana
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Catching his longsword before his MP could start draining into dangerous levels, Curtana realizes that he isn't making much of a dent in the sahagin forces. With the leader being the center of attention of the raid party, not enough was being done to keep the adds in check. But once the big guy is down, it should be easy to clean up.

The hairs on the back of his neck suddenly stand on end, and it's very easy to see why. Taking in a calming breath to steady himself, the Pooka starts to channel Hamon through his body and focuses it entirely into his kite shield. With it visibally supercharged with the sun's energy, Curt braces himself and takes the electric blast head on. Lightning battles lightning and eventually cancelled out one another, leaving the knight mostly unharmed, but now with crazy hair.

Not wanting to let this energy go to waste, Curt slings his shield away from him, the Hamon-infused metal bouncing against several sahagin with audible 'dong's. "Don't press too far ahead, Gwen!"
Hifumi
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Hifumi gets to his feet picking up his pipe as he shakes his head from the lightning strike that put him on his ass. He shifts pointing his kisiri at the enemy sending Snapdragon back into the air. "Alright buddy, get in there buffet them." he shouts as he channels magic into the small drake made of flowers making it expand to the size of a wyvern before it starts flapping it's leaf wings to create a buffetting wind to blow the fish men off their feet leaving them vulnerable to soldiers and other attacks. His MP bar drops precipitacely and Snapdragon shrinks back down flapping back to land on his shoulder as he puffs on his pipe trying to regen enough mana to get other support skills running.
Fukasa Yuri

Vine lashes wrap around the Sea Lord, holding it in place and burning into it deeply from Haru's spell, prepping it for oncoming attacks with bonus damage in addition to the base damage! A trait of Burn Vine Hostage immediately taken advantage of by Yeowang, a flying roundhouse kick striking the Ancient Sea Lord and causing the explosion of damage from the Burn Vine Hostage in addition to her original strike, causing the health of the Ancient Sea Lord to chunk down faster and faster. Until finally, the last chunk of health is claimed by Gwen, who strikes the Ancient Sea Lord in the center of its chest, causing another vine to explode. Followed by the Ancient Sea Lord itself, which bursts into pixels, EXP, and loot.
Which allows the rest of the party to begin focusing on the oncoming Sahuagin threat that was attempting to destroy their cart. Curtana's supercharged kite shield being launched towards Sahuagin, causing massive damage to several of the Sahuagin, along with them seeming to pause a moment, stunned. A moment taken advantage of by the other tanks on the Sahuagin Horde front, which strike down any Sahuagin that survived the initial shield bounce! As this is happening, buffetting wind strikes others of the Sahuagin, causing damage and knocking them on the ground. Several of the support DPS launching into action to make carefully aimed shots while the Sahuagin themselves are still downed, along with those DPS was a slightly grumpy, redirected Yuri. Who was pouting. She didn't get to finish off the boss. Hmph! How rude! And she used her big flashy attack too! Nevermind that after said attack she'd had to run and duck for cover in her energy coat, which is why she was among said ranged DPS. But nobody saw that. Definitely nobody. Yep. They just saw Yuri turn and run towards the Sahuagin horde, valiantly moving to the side of combat where she was needed to launch jets of superconcentrated water to slice through the Sahuagin and weaken them to make it easier for the melee DPS to finish off several Sahuagin. The general area attacks being quickly taken advantage of by groups A or B.

The Sahuagin, now on their back feet, are starting to falter slightly, many of the back line having to retreat far from the center of the town to avoid attacks, while the front line is mostly down, leaving mainly the javelin throwers and sahuagin mages to attempt to fight off the adventurers. A fight that was not going well so far, but fight on they did, several of the javelin throwers dashing in to throw dangerously accurate strikes towards the adventurers!
Hifumi
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Hifumi runs towards the cart protection teams. "Eat your salads you idiots." he says as he's charging into a battle. A javalin taking him in an undignified way that forces him to try getting out his own salad to keep his feet, scarfing the regenerative food to stop any bleed debuff and get back to his feet, low HP isn't really a problem. He's worried about others, especially (if there are any) Landers. His lady friend would probably send him to respawn if he went around letting Landers die when he's effectively immortal.
Curtana
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

A few rounds of playing pinball with his shield won't win him a high score anytime soon, but that's because no one is keeping tracks. Catching the defensive item handedly, Curtana ducks his head down and holds it up high to block several falling water spheres aimed for his head. "We got them thinking about retreat, now let us make it their only option!"

The water spells are little better than falling rain and it doesn't stop Curtana from closing the distance to the mages that were trying to pin him down. Not even using the sword in his hand, Curtana uses the weight of his armor and the strength carrying it to just slam into the sahagin directly. He even sent one hapless fish mage airborne! "Not long now, everyone! Stay strong!"
Haru
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Haru gives the fiesty fish some credit. They kept their morale together after their champion fell. Perhaps they have hope they can prevail after all. It is only fitting that I should take your realm for none of you have the strength... wrong MMO. It is only fitting that Haru fashions the multi-elemental crown above his head to shield him against the onslaught of attacks as prepares for a Phoenix Summon. Plenty of mana is spent but no fire birb is to be seen. The is until he points at the horde. Objection! Dark flames burst up in a wide area aoe, covering the area in a thick featherstorm that causes a regenerative effect on Haru to mend the earlier damage. He doesn't have a lot of health or armor, but he has ways of getting it back just as fast as he loses it.
Yeowang
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Yeowang's relief at the defeat of the first sea lord is shortlived as the sahaugin come at her from behind, and she's caught unprepared, her attempt to zip out of sight pre-empted as she's slammed around and roundly beaten by the remainder of the horde of sahaugin. She vaguely remembers an old saying of her grandpa's, to the effect that 'incoming damage has right of way'. She fights them back with a few fiercely placed knees and elbows, gaining herself some working room, and assumes a ready stance.

She's still surrounded, and she'll have to defend and attack with the same hand, both hands doing both things, there's not a luxury of free time as she sees how bad the cart has been damaged. She had thought someone was protecting it while she fought the sea lord, but it seems that was not the case. No matter, she switches to the one-armed blocking crane neck strikes, deflecting and attacking with the same hand in order to mix the maximum of offense and defense into the same moves. It's starting to force them back!
Gwen
Yamato - -19 - -9 - 0

Gwen is very pleased with what happned to the boss she's happy the Sewa Lors is dead. She'll check out her drop as she comes in for a landing in a group of fishmen.

"THIS IS FOR WHAT YOU BASTARDS DID TO ME IN GOLDSHIRE! GRAND CROSSS!"

She then lets lose a massive burst of holy light in the shape of a cross trying to burn down the remaining fishmen.
Fukasa Yuri

'Eat your salads!' wait. Right. in-combat food eating is important too! Somewhat reluctantly, the adventurers eat another full meal! ... .... Being a raid member is suffering sometimes! But the healing is good! And helps bolster the forces back into the thick of it.
SLAM! Curtana runs full force into the side of a Sahuagin, smashing into one of the high-level sahuagin mage and sending them flying, the initial strike hitting hard, and then the fall damage from being flung into an object causing it to die.
A massive dark fire burst rips through the sahuagin forces, dealing heavy damage and simply reducing some of them to ash. Several of the nearby adventurers reflexively move out of the way of the featherstorm falling around Haru. This isn't necessarily smart, but at least they're trying to avoid a possible AoE? Yeowang's quick strikes and deflections let her dance through the Sahuagin horde, deftly knocking out and causing damage to many of the Sahuagin, leaving them weak as the flash of holy light washes over a massive cross of the remaining battlefield, many of the remaining sahuagin reduced to exp and items.
And last but not least, Fukasa Yuri lifts her tridnt, "My minions from the depths, awaken yerself that ye may reap the flesh of fish within thy Grave Call for death." The final sahuagin are assaulted from behind by several summoned zombie sailors, which stab through their backs with cutlasses, ending the battle all at once.

"Victory has been achieved! PUSH INTO THE MANSION! THE HEART OF THE CITY WILL NO DOUBT BE THERE, AND SO WE WILL TURN IT INTO OUR BASE TO TAKE BACK THE COLOSSEUM TAKEN FROM US!"

And the charge is led into the mansion. A few minor encounters with Sahuagin are quickly dealt with on the way to the mansion, but ultimately not much is in the way of getting to the dungeon heart. The more seasoned adventurers breaking the heart while the novice adventurers begin to fortify the manor against possible roaming monsters approaching them and taking them unaware.
