Getting Inn to It

Goldenblade doesn't come by Shibuya often, but she does, on occasion, stop by. It's an isolated place, accessible more easily by water, the trip overland is pretty brutal except for the highest level players. Technically, Goldenblade /is/ one of the higher level players, but she doesn't think of herself as one, her gameplay skill certainly wouldn't let you know she was one, and she doesn't have the ancillary skills to do well roughing it in the forest.

Paving the forest, that she can do.

Butr she comes into the inn and calls for beer, or whatever they have to drink, and will sit down at the bar.

Erufu is actually working the pub part of the Inn tonight and she's even in some kind of waistress outfit. She bounces up to Goldenblade and bobs a bit a she lks the other player over. "Welcome to the Green Dragon Inn, what can I take you for?"

Goldenblade gives Erufu a puzzled look, then replies, "You can take me for someone who wants a beer? What sort of food have you got?" she asks also. "I just got in on your supply ship, and I'm trying to find out if you're still wanting a road built to here?"

She looks over the waitress outfit skeptically, and says, "Nice. Isn't it a bit chilly, though? Or is fashion more important than that?"

Erufu Says "Your right I should get the fire stoked a bit more. Oh I'm Erufu and this is my Inn. Beer I can do that want anything else to go with it?" She asks she seems happy though like she's enjoying this. She will turn for a moment calling out to an employee to stoke the fire a bit more.

Goldenblade is pretty sure she's met Erufu before, but if the elf is introducing herself, maybe she hasn't. She's met so many people in the game, it's hard to keep track sometimes. "I'm Goldenblade," she replies to the introduction, looks around again, and says, "Nice looking place. Stays warm in the winter and all? As much as the construction materials allow? I'm a builder, you see, so I think about this sort of thing. I was wondering if you guys were still planning a road to here from Fort Ouph?"

As for something to go with her beer, she says, "Hot stew if you have it?"

Erufu says "If your looking for some work to take a look at how to improve it? I would not say no and there's someone I knows farm who could use a hand there." Which she'd be willing to pay for. It be a nice present to Cowgirl and her uncle. "I have been so busy I had forgot that there was a plan for a road. We have some I'll go fetch your order!" With a boww the Pooka would dart off to the kitchen to get Goldenblade's order.

Goldenblade hrms at Erufu's reply, says, "I'll see what I can do quickly and easily," and will take a look around the inn with her home repair and upkeep eye while waiting for Erufu to get back with the order. "Only I'm putting nearly every waking moment into getting stuff together for the Palace Landers. But, like, there's excess materials here and there, and I don't have any projects calling for them, so ..."

Erufu says "That would be great if you find anything we can work your meal into part of your payment?" She notes upon her return with hot stew and a chilled beer. She'll set them down for Goldenblade. There are a few thing that Goldenblade could fix to help with drafts but it's not as bad as one might have feared a place like this to be.

Goldenblade shrugs about working the meal into the payment, and says, "I'm not so poor as that. I'm not rolling in cash, but I make do." But she does find a couple places where some time with a hammer and saw will do some good. She pulls a bit of clay or putty from her inventory and will place it at a join where there's a bit of a draft. That'll close up the draft for now, and when she comes back with tools and gear, she'll just look for the patches to know where to work.

"Overall, it's not a bad place, given the primitive construction. A lot of places are like that, anacronisticly well-built, where most of Japan was wood and paper, historically."

She will sit down to her hit tea and cold beer, and enjoy them both. "Ah, this hits the spot."

Erufu says "Aye the tradtional Yamato style did not quite mesh with the Inns in my homeland I admit." She's still RPing and will never stop, she does seem happy with her lot in life though. "Well you have great skill in these matters and I shall trust you with that and i'm glad you enjoyed that!"

Goldenblade does keep forgetting that Erufu was one of those super hardcore RPers. She doesn't get the appeal, herself, she's never had a problem being herself. But it takes a special mindset to say things the right way around and that takes effort for her. She nods about enjoying the meal, finishing up, and she says, "I will see if I can get a but of wood and nails here in Shibuya, and I'll be able to spiff this place up pretty quick. But tomorrow, I think, it's time to sleep, now." She did come in late, after all.

Erufu says "Well we do have some rooms for rent you'll find the prices fair and you can pay for your breakfast in advance!" She beams and will go back to the main counter to fetch a key if Goldenblade is interested.

Goldenblade is interested, and will pay up in advance, with the promise of breakfast. "Sounds good to me." Having finished her supper and beer, then, she will take the key, head upstairs, and sleep.
