NWA: State of the Alliance, May 402

Haru is going over the current state of the Alliance, guild matters within the alliance, current goals and opportunities. Individuals goals and concerns to be raised to collaborate on. Snacks will be served. New World Alliance member scene.

"Thank you all for coming," Haru says as he steps up to an elevated platform situated in the dinning hall. Food has been provided for a get together event on the Alliance. "Before we get too deep into the administrative stuff, I want to thank Pela and Hifumi for catering today's event. The Chefs of the Alliance truly embody what we are all about and I think we can all agree no one wants menu food today."

Laughter. So true. Menu food sucks.

"My name is Haru Nox and I am one of the leaders of the Silver Sword, crafting division. With me in the audience today is Shiruba, Silver Sword expedition commander, and William Massachusetts, Silver Sword Guild Leader, who promises I'll only lose one arm if I get the details today inaccurate." Ha ha what?

"The New World Alliance is a pact between three major guilds that share a similar outlook," Haru continues on as the audience is a mix of the three. "Today I'd like us to spend a moment to reflect on who we are and where we are going. Without that, the meal in front of you wouldn't be possible. This building we stand in and the entire city we hold this event in? It wouldn't be here, flourishing as it is today."
Kotono

Where's Miyako? Seems she's busy doing her own thing.

Nevertheless, Kotono comes in swiftly like the little Spriggan ninja she is. She looks around cautiously before sheathing her blades and walking in a more relaxed manner. She proceeds to get herself a root beer before taking a seat and watching as Haru speaks.

Kotono doesn't have much to say for the time being, but she is listening intently, nodding occasionally to indicate she is paying attention.

"Moon Tree. Grandeur. Silver Sword. The three major guilds that make up the New World Alliance came to an accord early on when we arrived in Yamato. This place we have arrived at is our new home. It is not a place to be shaped into the world we came from nor exploited for resources to escape from. It is meeting reality on reality's terms, right in front of us," Haru starts, making the division of dogma clear without dancing around the differences or which one is the right one. Hands gesture out, "We all have our reasons for this. Those reasons may differ. However you all have kindred spirits among you in wanting to /live/ here, now. Be here, /now/, in this world."

An oratory pause from Haru as he lets silence wash over the room. A verbal glass of water. He continues, "New World Alliance protects our new world against the unintended consequences of being in this world. Our presence and the methods that made our presence possible have ripples in the water that we monitor and contain before they become tidal waves against the shorelines of those that lived here before us." A hand gestures, "The kingdoms. We engage in the enrichment and collaborative efforts of society. Be it the newly formed Uruk or the ones that existed when we arrived, such as Eastal."

"Grandeur, notably, has a focus on kingdom relations and economical pursuits. While there are battles won with might and magic, many are upheld with policy and law to establish an order during these times." He gestures to those in the room representing the guild. "Moon Tree has a focus on exploring the lore of this world, of the Lander population. Anti-PK in nature and maintaining this order. Silver Sword, notably, focuses combat prowess and facing the challenges of the world head on. Together all three guilds provide a balanced and comprehensive means of meeting our common goal: Making this new world our home, together."
Shiruba

Shiruba is of course here, as previously noted, she is one of the Alliance officers. Expedition Commander. She likes that, she's probably going to start using that instead of Moderator. Sounds more in-theme, too.

Also because there's some of the best food available in the Alliance provided, but that should surprise no one by this point. Her usual foodie habits haven't diminshed any.

Haru can talk for as long as he needs though, Shiruba still isn't the most comfortable with getting up in front of groups.
Kotono

Kotono continues to listen intently, only stopping for a sip of root beer. She's not being extra quiet today compared to her usual chatty self, she's just got not much to say at the time. She nods occasionally, her face showing quite a bit of interest on it so it indicates she's not just nodding to act interested.
Haru

"Together we have accomplished much," Haru begins, "Shibuya is the city in which we have our HQ located in. It stands as a shining example of what diplomacy with Eastal, might to defend and liberate her from threats, and investigate the deep lore surrounding this city that existed before we settled here." He is more invested in Shibuya than NWA lately, though the two are deeply interlinked. "We have founded the Mithrilscale Ironworks and Isekai Ryokan in Dun Loireag, being the height of cooking and weaponcrafting. A cultural museum and the Astral Athenaeum bless the cultural foundation of Shibuya. Fresh food from the Game Reserve outside Shibuya and both Pelapuff Cafe and The Green Dragon Inn to make good use of it. Even my own Atelier is here for fine accessory goods."

Haru slows down the hype train a moment, "We founded Seeker's Landing, exploring worlds beyond Yamato. Cleared a way to Undine Ruines to explore and cleared Gnollish forests." A hand gestures, "Refrigeration. Construction Load Lifts. Enchanted Glass. We found out how to break the Crown of Control and build a Statue to cement the liberation over seas." Fire.

"I would be up here much longer than you want me to if I listed every thing we should be proud of. A moment, then, to be proud for what we have done together."
Haru

Haru looks around and notices, well, turnout is low. He takes a deep breath. "We follow our individual pursuits," he goes off script. "And why not," the Artificer asks, "isn't that why we came to Elder Tales to begin with? But we are much greater together than apart. We have yet to truly accomplish what we are capable of until we go there together, not alone." He stops.

"The future is yours, New World Alliance. No one is going to tell you what five things you need to do to get there. Or fuss if you do or not show up to do those things when someone charts the course," he motions out to the crowd. "So with that, I offer you all suggestions: Explore the Undine Ruins. Help Rebuild Shibuya. Explore Beneath Shibuya." He is over it. This isn't the way. "Find your path, as our fine guilds did when finding their way in this new land. Band together around these ideas. Make something no one has even dreamed of yet."

He steps down on that note. "And enjoy your meal," as he walks to his table, past the table, and outside to the mansion entrance hall.
Kotono

Now finally speaking, Kotono looks to Haru and says, "Thank you for your time." Before returning to her soda. She's not entirely that hungry right now, but she plans to eat when the time is right. For now she's simply processing what she just heard.
Shiruba
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Considering they have a number of people out of missions or over helping the rebellion in the Palace Lands, a lower turnout is expected. Maybe would of been nice for more of their more prominent members to show, but it is what it is. Arugably these were the people that needed to be talked to more, the members that weren't entirely sure of their purpose or the efforts they could make.

Shiruba applauds, but tilts her head as Haru actually walks out of the hall instead of stopping. Mmm. She can't help but feel that there was something else going on there, but there really wasn't a time now to pursue it.

"Thank you Haru, for your time and inspiration." She says on her way up to the stage, making sure it's heard before the Artificer actually leaves the room. "And he is entirely right. There is still many things out there for us to do. Both for our new home and ourselves."
