Landlocked

A Pirate is landlocked but she doesn't seemt to down about as she explores the Tolbana.

Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn had found the tavern long ago, and has already become a regular there. Still she needed to explore the city, it was run by Adventurers and her own alliance too. She relaxed here and it was one of the few places she fullyu did. "Mmm this city needs something still..." She'd not seen a sign of any news papersa, or twon criers as an idea fills her mind? She's a little distracted as she walks along the city square...
Vertina
Tolbana - Main Square

Vertina was not in the Tavern herself at the moment. She was doing part of her daily workout in laps around the town. Tolbana was just the right size really, she could do get several times around without having to take the exact same loop every single time, but not so big it got in the way.

She does notice the privateer that's become a regular face at said Tavern though, giving a wave towards Llyn in one of her passes. "Almost done," she calls in her wake, so she'll probably be back to actually stop and visit in a few minutes.
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider spends a fair amount of time in the tavern, and a good bit of time in the library under the Temple. He's still occasionally organizing supply runs to his nearby Hang Gliding training center while it's not quite open to the public. But just at the moment, he's loitering in the square and he looks over to Llyn, who may be talking to herself? He wouldn't want to interrupt a private conversation. "Hrm?" he asks, in case it /was/ him being addressed.

He waves as Vertina jogs by, he ought to be doing that, he's gotten out of shapee since joining the game. Maybe he ought to get back into shape? It might be important?
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn looks over to the the owner of the tavern and grins at her.

"Oh hello! Restocking after my last party are we?!" She grins widely and looks over to Schneider. "Oh ahoy to you as well. So I was wondering how much as hang gliding lessons?" She seems curious and then finger snaps. "So does this city have a new paper?!"
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider shakes his head about a newspaper, and says, "Nothing really happens that anyone cares about anymore. But hang gliding lessons are free. They're a bit dangerous, but we respawn, so ... we make them as safe as we /can/, though, that's the best we can do. And the climb up the cliff takes a few hours."
Vertina
Tolbana - Main Square

"Rock climbing is a good workout in it's own right," Vertina adds to the commentary as she completes the last circle around, and comes to a stop by the other two.
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn says "I dunno or is it people are not playing attention there are always thing worth knowing about going on. Still useful to know there isn't a soul doing it yet." She grins about the lessons "That would be fun to try at some point but not while I'm still bound ... to a hostile kingdom." She looks a bit sheepish there. "I'm all for a good workout, it's fun!"
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider nods to Vertina, "It's true. that many stairs is a good workout for anyone, and the flight down is pretty cool, if you can make it safely. That's why I've set up the school in the first place, of course." To Llyn, he says, "You're welcome to come there whenever you like. You don't have to take the plunge right away, there's a bit of theory to learn also."
Vertina
Tolbana - Main Square

Vertina aaahs. "Yeah, that might be a bit of a risk even with the safeguards, just... that." She shakes her head briefly. "But you could still learn some of the concepts and stuff without living on the edge yet."
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn says "I will certain do that ahead of time. Yes wake up and get crowned again. No thank you. I need to see what it would entail." She'd also need to find out which Kingdom here in Yamato is water focused after all.

"Still partying on the edge at your tavern is still great! I'm sorry about dancing on the table the other night... I just couldn't control myself."
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider nods at what Vertina says. "That's what I'm proposing. And the parachutes have worked well so far. We're doing this with safety much more in mind than it was historically at this stage in flight development. We have several situational advantages over the Wright Brothers. Sadly, we don't have any actual aerospace engineers to shortcut some of the lessons we need to learn." Hee nods to Llyn, "No one wants to send you back to get crowned. That'd be awful."
Fukaziroh
Tolbana - Main Square

Fuka is of course a regular at taverns all across the kingdoms. A dedicated traveller and would-be merchant, she journeys from city to city with her caravan train, gathering supplies needed for war, and trading in perishables to fund it. While she's not the only one transporting perishables, she's the only one who can do so in bulk, taking time rather than rushing along only the primary tolled routes. As such her profit margins are quite a bit higher these days than most merchants, allowing her to turn a good bit of that profit around into the war effort. Not to mention a good bit of it being spent on her own indulgences! Work hard, play hard, and enjoy every moment...

Wandering by, Fuka finds her attention drawn by conversation. "Did somebody mention table dancing?" she asks loudly, bursting in on the conversation. She looks around after the blurt, recognizing familiar faces. She grins, or perhaps 'smirks' is a better way to put it. "Am I going to need to get some coins to make it rain? There's no paper money here, so that's just out of the question."
Vertina
Tolbana - Main Square

Vertina laughs. "Trust me. It's a tavern. That's hardly the strangest thing anyone has done after one too many Dragonfire Brews." She then fakes a shocked expression, unconvincingly. "Oh no, your talk of scandalous acts has summoned a Fukaziroh. We're doomed. Dooooomed." Then fails to keep it up and starts laughing all over again.
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn says "That being we know what's possible and what isn't that's true still we owe those two a lot don't we? Yeah, to be made a slave in the own world you wrote for." She muses not thinking about what she said much as Fuka.

"Next time I'll use a staff as a pole and really get the tavern going! I'd not say no to booty raining like that." She rubs her hands together at this. Goddesses help you all she has ideas!
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider doesn't know Fuka that well, which is ironic given they both share a proclivity for fire. But Vertina is amused, and he chuckles as well. That's as good a recommendation as any. And a pint-sized Fuka doing the Macarena on a table is a thought that fills him with mirth. That's what table dancing is, right? But what do coins have to do with it? He looks confused now. Llyn's comment confuses him further. "Booty raining? Huh?" That sounds painful, but he's imagining whole chests falling from the sky concussing people.
Fukaziroh
Tolbana - Main Square

"How can you have one too many dragonfire brews?" Fuka asks the laughing Vertina, grinning along like a height-deficient madwoman. "Sounds pretty hot though, I might have to try it!" she adds. What she'll try, that's up for consideration. A brew, or one too many brews? Yes, the answer is almost certainly yes.

People having fun is the sort of thing that attracts a Fukaziroh, yes. And if they're not having fun she'll do her best to make them have fun! "Pole dancing is good too!" she agrees. Not that she's had that particular experience, but she's heard about it and is into things that sound amusingly lewd. Or at least talking about such things! "If you want a rain of booty, you need to provide a rain of coins!" Fuka advises Schneider. "I hear that's the best way, if you're into that sort of thing!"
Vertina
Tolbana - Main Square

Vertina runs a hand back through her hair once she recomposes herself, making sure it stayed in the ponytail keeping it out of her face while she was jogging. "While I don't mind a good show myself, at least keep that sort of display to the appropriate hours, yeah? Midday booty calls might be a little too distracting."
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn looks to Schneider "Well I was more thinking a caoin of coins on the table..." She grins and looks like she's taking a like to Fuka. She just bursts out laughing. It could be Llyn used ETO as a way to ... cut loose from how she's been behaving. "Oh yes I'd say in the evenings when it will help bring more money in for you too!"
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider eyes Fuka's hindquarters, decides that she means booty in the sense of loot. She's not supplying the other sort until she hits a growth spurt. "All out of coins," he claims, which isn't completely true. But he has to save up if he wants to eat real food. "On the table?" he asks, scratching his head. Because he's only just started college, and while he's old enough to know about that sort of place, he hasn't actually been to one yet, and doesn't know much about what happens there.
Vertina
Tolbana - Main Square

Vertina smirks. "Other than that, go wild. Between a show and Asuna's pizzas it'd be a full house every night I bet."
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn says "That sounds like a great plan!" She notes to Vertina and then looks to Schhneider for a moment and laughs again. "Yes on the table, it would hgave to be cleaned after..."
Fukaziroh
Tolbana - Main Square

For Fuka, ETO is a game to play. Or it was, until it became a way to live. But since playing is part of life for her, little has really changed. Still she's not wholly given over to play at all costs. "Of course you want to do these things at the right place, the right time!" she agrees. The little sylph has no sense of shame, but she does understand what's appropriate. Sometimes.

She makes a face. "Yeah no, probably not a good idea to get the tables dirty when you do this." she agrees with a sour expression. "Not the tables people are going to eat from anyways! Oooh what if there's a stage? Or a table-stage? A stable?"
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider nods about tables needing to be cleaned after a big pizza dinner. "Lots of plates to clear," he acknowledges, nodding agrteement with Llyn. But Fuka's saying reasonable things, so he will nod along despite being lost now. "A stable in the bar? Isn't there one just outside, where people can put their pekos?"
Vertina
Tolbana - Main Square

"There is a stage," Vertina confirms. "Of course there is, any proper tavern should have one. For bards. And town meetings. And," she pauses, glancing from Llyn to Fuka and back, "entertainment in general."
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn does seem to love attention, oh well it doesn't hurt no one right? "Aye you done a good job with that place. Reminds me a little of one near an American Army base. Good place though the food portions were insane..." She muses again and looks over to the group. "Fuka have you already been drinking today or is this just how you are!?" She's grinning as she says it while she looks to Schneider nodding a little bit in agreement.
Vertina
Tolbana - Main Square

"This is pretty normal for her," Vertina just sort of shrugs.
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider ohs as Vertina explains. "That makes sense." He eyes Fuka skeptically as Llyn and Vertina conment. "I ..." But he doesn't really know about day drinking, either. Unlike his namesake, he's a quite bit more innocent, and he doesn't play the 500-year old sorcerer very accurately.
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn says "Noted, that's just standard Fuka. So if gets all prissy and prude we know something's charmed her." She laughs again and looks to Schneider. "I should take you all out for drinks tonight on me!"
Fukaziroh
Tolbana - Main Square

This is about right, Fuka figures. Half this group is amused, half confused. A good ratio to shoot for! Though really, she hasn't been aiming for anything like that deliberately... it's just something that happens, and when it does, she feels like she's done good.

"Hmmm. I think I've seen that stage, yes! I wouldn't mind being on that at some point. Whether for my singing, if you don't mind me singing emotional pop songs, or for my dancing and booty shaking!" she adds, shaking hers quite deliberately. Yes she has hips. And yes, with physical 3 she has good muscles too. Anything else is well hidden by layers of cloth and metal for now. In any event her gesture's probably nowhere near as lewd as she intends.

She stops her shimmy, glancing back over a shoulder at Llyn questioningly. "What do you mean? I'm just having fun!" she claims innocently. The sort of innocent look that probably would be a whole lot more sincere if she hadn't just been shaking booty at a pirate.
Vertina
Tolbana - Main Square

Vertina reachs down to pat Fuka on the shoulder. "Anything that keeps people having a good time." And eating and drinking and putting more money into the business.
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn says "I also need to get myself a new ship, What kind of Pirate Queen am I without a ship or a crew?!"
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider shrugs to Llyn, nods about drinks. "Sounds good!" he says. Fuka draws another puzzled look, and he says, "..." because what can you say to a sassy child that acts that way? But he nods quickly as Vertina chimes in. He's willing to pay if there's food and drinks. "A new ship? That shouldn't be /too/ hard," he opines to Llyn. "There's buccaneers around Fourland, I think, you could just steal from them, right?"
Llyn
Tolbana - Main Square

Llyn says "I'm certain the nation would like there to be one less hostile pirate ship to them out there." She grins "I did hear something about a steam ship around here too..."
Fukaziroh
Tolbana - Main Square

Fuka beams happily. "Having a good time is what I'm all about!" she says agreeably to Vertina. She has nothing against people patronizing Vertina's tavern. Or herself, for that matter. She's used to people patronizing her, and generally finds it amusing so long as they don't know enough to do it in a way that hits too close to home.

She pauses, blinks, looks back at Llyn again. "Wait you're a pirate? A pirate QUEEN?" she asks, eyes widening. "Ooooh yes, let's steal a ship! Or like, raid the Palace Lands and steal one of theirs! How hard can it be to crew a ship anyways? Man, I remember the first trip over there. We nearly died. Good times, good times!" she says, perhaps a little too brightly.
Schneider
Tolbana - Main Square

Schneider nods to Llyn about a steam ship. "Olympus built it," he explains. "We helped them outfit it as a warship. Scale and NWA both helped. But I don't know that it'd be much good for piracy, though." No cargo area to speak of. He chuckles as Fuka waxes into a new subject, and he can't disagree. "Stealing one of their ships sounds good, too. But I think they run in packs, so it might be harder."
