Beachside Wandering

It's evening, the view is nice, the beach is currently quiet enough and there's an imp in her swiming outfit with kit laid out behind her and a fishing pole in hand. There's also a pile of shells, a mortar and pestle, a small cook fire and a few other things that suggest she's been at this for a while. Working. For once.

She's got her legs crossed in a way that props the pole up, but also acts as a basis for her book in hand, using it to doodle things out while she waits for the bait to be taken, largely just using a bit of charcoal this time.

The perfect kind of productive, but lazy night.

Fishing is grand, it's a good passtime that also gets food. Also in this strange world? Materials for all sorts of things, who knows what you could catch right? Well in this case if one had been able to look real closly deep down there was someone down there napping. A undine, after all with gills one could operate under the water. Which is just what a certain pirate is doing.

She has no idea someone is up there and the prick a yelp and flaling as she gets tangled in line... and Hisame would get one hell of a pull down on her rod.

Hisame has no idea what's this big, this close to shore considering you know, no one had been up or down along this stretch. She quickly sets the pages aside, stuffing them away as she begins to reel the catch in. She even digs her heels into the sand, yanking back on the rod and watching to make sure she doesn't break the thing. This better pay well for all of this work!

Llyn is struggling not knowing what's going on has a mosnter got her? she has no idea she's flailing too much. The line somehow holds as she's slowly but surely dragged towards the surface. Hisame can see she's got something big but it's fighting damn hard...

Hisame yanks back on the fishing pole and continues to reel in the catch. We'll ignore that there's no way the line she was using would hold for game mechanic reasons! Instead, she's muttering under her breath that she might need to get a warning put up on the beach to warn the locals and players that something huge spawns in the water!

Whatever is going on Llyn might be sen tangled in the line and she's trying to go for yes a knife it looks like she's a soaked Undine who doesn't look too happy ad she breaks the surface. "WHO THE BLUE BLAZES OF NEPTUNES ASSHOLE DID THIS?!"

Hisame looks at the undine she's fished up and just... drops her fishing rod and throws her hands up, "Get off my hook you weirdo!" Though she's at least laughing at the idea. Kind of. She points at Llyn and says, "If you're that hungry, just ask me for food, don't steal my bait!" that's just... silliness realy. "You okay?" She asks, more seriously.

Llyn is flailing. "I didn't take your bait it hooked me. Have you not ever seen someone take a nap in ocean before?!" She is an undine and for a moment Hisame might see her gills flaring out enough as she tries to get lose. "Get the hook out of me or I'm going to cut the line!"

Hisame glares at the woman and says, "You cut that line and I'm going to hook you with my critter hook!" she stands up and starts to wade out into the water muttering, "Stop flailing around or you're going to drive it deeper then you get to deal with that too." Still more muttering. "And no, I haven't. Do I look like I breathe water?"

Llyn stops moving. "Right, I should know better that that with what I am." She frown and she will try to relax. "I dunno can you?! I know I look like I can!"

Hisame tilts her head and rolls her eyes, "Settle down." She finally makes it out to the water and takes the string, trying to carefully pull it so she can find out where the hook actually snagged the undine, "Hold still and.. this is probably going to suck anyway."

Llyn settles down and holds still she knows it's going to hurt. At least with the red wireframe showing where the injury was made the hook easy to find. "I just never expected to be caught by someone...like that. I should napp deeper down next time..."

Hisame is surprisingly careful as she first cuts the string nearest the hook and lets it drift for now. Then with a firm grip, she says, "Barbed, so uh... yeah. This will suck." She then pushes the hook deeper so it pops back out. Then she carefully draws it free. "Or put a buoy out with a sign stating you're napping or something." She checks the worst of it, then pops a potion out of nowhere and does the simple thing of pouring it over the wound. Because she's an alchemist and- just don't worry too much. It should help.

Llyn brances herself as best she can. She cries out as its pulled out, it's only natural. The good news is she's a healer so she'll bea able to deal with it. "Pardon me for not wanting to paint a target on me. Still this isn't a bad spot to fish is it?"

Hisame looks around and says, "It's not the worst spot to fish. I just didn't want to leave without trying honestly. You'd be surprised what kind of weird things you can reduce down into a powder and mix into a glowing concoction that melts steel or heals people." She holds a finger up and grins, "Don't mix those up." And then in an undertone, "Also don't label them in case someone steals them. It's funnier."

Llyn says "I have some idea about that given my calling here. So Am I the catch of the day at least?" She laughs for a moment. "...Heh that would teach a theif pretty badly wouldn't it but wouldn't inspect give it away?"

Hisame considers the woman before her. Head tilting one side to the other at the first question. She holds a finger up and clearly was about to make a joke, then stops and says, "You're okay right?" Let's not accidentally offend the woman with your odd sense of humor. Or scare her off by suggesting she's the best thing she's caught today or something, right? "Probably." she says, shifting her topic along. Decently enough. Maybe. "Depends on what kind of hurry they're in I assume. Doesn't matter though, the fun stuff is out in the open. And glows toxic green so... eh."

Llyn says "I'm fine other than my pride and dignity but those heal in time, right?" She will now untangle herself from the line carefully and rise up shaking off some of the water. "So I should be more careful where I rest? I guess it really does run on light novel logic doesn't it?"

Hisame tilts her head at the idea that the world runs on light novel logic and says, "I'm not overpowered enough for that-" she shrugs. "You hiding a harem down there? Maybe it's the wrong genre." She grins, drifting there in the tide. "Could just hang out with a friend who doesn't mind keeping watch if you're really worried where you're napping you know."

Llyn says "Mind if I hang out for a while before I get on my way. There's some really neat things down under the water. Some ofthe formations are quite pretty down there!"
