Phishing

Give a man a fishman, and you feed him to a fishman. But teach a man how to phish, and he'll make off with your personal data.

Fuka has been a busy little Sylph over the last while, having learned how to hit things with a hammer in such a way as to NOT break them, but make them better. Also embarassing the hell out of her sensei by pointing out she wasn't interested in getting drilled by a hobgoblin. She just brought it up out of nowhere, lacking context, that she went on an adventure with Will, and it ended up with a fat smelly hobgoblin trying to drill her while Will protected Dosbox and the others. Uta probably shouldn't ask for clarification here... if she knows what's good for her sanity. This of course is a dubious proposition.

She's taking advantage of the research rooms within Eas now, having had some ideas when it comes to combat and alchemy. No, she doesn't appear to be in a strange mood inspired work frenzy! So yeah, she has nothing against meeting up with friends also in the area and catching up socially!

Dosbox didn't want to be drilled by a hobgoblin, either, but he didn't really get the innuendo (in-HER-endo!!!) that Fuka had made at the time. Still, this narrator is also in agreement that Uta probably shouldn't ask for clarification.

DosBox wanders into the library, instantly looking for books on Alne, underwater, and sewers. He is perhaps, looking a little nervous, but that's hardly different than DosBox EVER looks, so make of that what you will.

Baroness Wake's message had been extremely clear during the Road Trip. Uta should make sure to always have someone she trusts around when meeting strange men, and she explicitly mentioned the Gnome known as Borywick Rockborer as one of aforementioned strange men.

So, since with the two of them being around at Eas there was a high chance of chance encounters, she made sure to reach out to someone to ensure that things would not get weird.

That someone is Fuka.

"So, I need clarification," she opens towards Fuka. Uta is standing not too far from the Sylph, hence in a research room off the main area at the entrance; it will likely take Dosbox some navigating before coming into view. Having helped build the library, Uta has excellent qualifications to help around the place; as she pulls a tome out of a rack, she continues, "I have heard that you've been learning things... and fighting monsters?" Uta sounds interested at this.

Fuka is of course the perfect chaperone for weirdness. She could watch it all day! Plus of course she's protective of her friends... really what can go wrong?

In any event she's happy to help, and doesn't even need an excuse to hang out. "Songbird, darling, I am *always* learning things and fighting monsters." Fuka confides. "In this case, I've been around a lot of hard-working people setting up store rooms and warehouses and stuff, so I decided why not learn to do it right? Hard work, but I like it when it's hard!" she states. "And sweaty. And physical." she adds, just in case her innuendo was missed. She's also a bit loud for a library, so it's possible DosBox will hear her and finally realize he's not alone.

"Anyways yes, I was told there was a hobgoblin in the area who used construction tools as weapons. So I organized a hunting party! Now, little did we know, the only thing this nasty thing liked more than masonry was PUNS! It's almost a shame we had to kill him." she muses. They had so much in common after all. Aside from Fuka not being ugly, grossly fat, and related to goblins. She's much more of a gremlin after all.

Dosbox hears Uta's voice, and his head picks up like a dog having heard a whistle. He quietly scurries over in the direction of her voice: quick enough to arrive at the mention of the masonry puns. "Oh. Yeah. I was there. Fuka said that she didn't want to be drilled by a big, fat, hobgoblin, and I can understand why she wouldn't want that. Fuka is small, and his drill was REALLY big." DosBox nods innocently, the innuendo still going right over his head.

Uta stumbles and almost falls down at the first cannonball of innuendo. Followed by a fusillade thereof. Her dodging technique: the usual. Armflailing. Songbird is flapping her wings. I repeat. Songbird is flapping her wings. Of course, a suitably loud whisper of "Fuka!" is uttered. It's a library. Can't be too loud. But it's Fuka. Can't be too quiet.

Now, poor, innocent Uta was warned about how creepy this Gnome could be. Her eyes widen in terror. Armflailing stops, and she subconsciously takes a step sideways towards Fuka, and away from Dosbox. "I..." She looks at Fuka. "I..." with a terrified slime-in-the-headlights-of-an-incoming-firaball stare urging Fuka to help with the Weird Gnome who's making Things Weird.

Now, Fuka does love to shock her friend. But sometimes things get slightly out of hand! She watches Uta brainfault and armflail, and takes pity. Or at least decides to show mercy. "It's true." she says solemnly. "He had a hammer and a saw too. And he whacked stacks of bricks at us!" she claims. "But that drill was his final weapon, and you know how the final stage of a boss is the worst right?" she observes, so innocently as to be quite obvious that her earlier statements were meant to be anything but. "Will didn't want to get drilled by him either and who can blame him? And I did tell him I'd switch tanking with him if he needed to back off, and he had mana to heal with. So yeah! Dead Bobgoblin." she grins, relishing the telling of the story. Telling stories of adventure, particularly tall tales and exaggerations, are pretty much the single biggest reason she adventures. "Good group. Boss there was a gem." she adds, gesturing to DosBox.

Dosbox sees the fear in Uta's eyes, and the panick, but he doesn't QUITE notice it is because the weird little gnome is making things weird, or even that she recoiled specifically from his appearance. That would require DosBox to be able to spot social cues. Non-verbal communication? Do you mean like morse code? Braille? Semaphore?

DosBox, however, DOES look concerned, worried about something that could inflict fear in Uta and that he doesn't know where it is, "Uta, are you okay? What's wrong? Is there a monster behind me? I don't taste good! Tell it I taste like granite!" DosBox grows motionless, frantically trying to look behind himself without moving his head or neck.
