A bit of shopping

    It's not really set up like a market stall, but Naniko's little blanket covered with trinkets is definitely in the market. The jewelry is a token amount, as really, the Undine seems to be purely focused on something that looks like a puzzle box. She's manipulating it with her jeweler's tools, seeming more to be trying to undo it than to craft it.

Miho had been doing the delivery of a bunch of knives and other odds and ends to one of the root towns pubs. She was done, she was going toi be heading off but she then spotted someone out selling her wares. The Salamander waves to Naniko.

"Its been a while hows it going Naniko!?"

Miho will trot on over and looks over what Naniko has out.

"Oh so what are you working on there is that a Puzzel box?"

    Naniko looks up a moment or two after Miho addresses her. It takes her a moment to recognize the other, as she doesn't seem to be using the Inspect function. However, when she does, she smiles. "Oh, hey! I remember you. Yeah, it's something someone brought me. I don't really know what's in it." She looks the box over. "I enjoy solving mysteries like this."

Miho she pauses for a moment looking the box over. Wasn't there an american horror movie series about a puzzel box? She bushes that aside as she takes a peek at it. "Oh so I'll keep that in mind, if I find anything along those lines I'll pass it your way. So have you been making many sales?"

    Naniko shrugs. "Eh. Most non-landers want stat increases, and most landers don't want to pay my prices, so no." She looks up at the other woman. "Hey, don't I owe you a nice meal to apologize for being disrespectful with my water play?"

Miho says "That you do Naniko!" She grins at this for a moment. "I should see about commision something as well. As this is the one area I'm lacking when it comes to forging. So any ideas there are not as many places to eat as I like i fear but if you got something in mind!"

    Naniko clears her throat. "I, uh..." She hesitates. "I still mostly eat menu food," she confesses, actually blushing slightly when she says it, though she doesn't show that emotion anywhere else in her body language. "'fraid I don't have any idea what's out there, restaurant-wise."

Miho stares "but it has no flavour! no taste!" She looks horrifed. "At the very least we need to take you to Hifumis and stock up on his instant noodles!" She think "It's in another city but we could go there at some point! You need to get some real food! Though some landers will if you ask nicely and pay a bit more do it by hand I think...it couldn't hurt to ask!"

    "I don't really--" Naniko stops. "If I did it would--" She stops again. "I mean...if I committed to paying for--" She stops a third time and doesn't start again. It's clear she's hesitant and conflicted about the prospect of food. "Fine," she finally concedes. She rolls up her jewelry blanket around a rope and wraps a few pieces of ribbon around it. It's not even clear what it is from that. She puts it on like a messenger bag. "You lead, I'll go with you, and we'll eat something that's not menu food, on me." She picks up the puzzle box and her tools and starts shoving the thin pieces of metal she works with into her cloth bracers.

Miho says "Don't bend yourself out of shape you know it's nothing to worry about!" She'll start to help Naniko pack up if she's allowed. "So what sort of food do you like If I might ask? We might have to put the Hifumis on hold given we're a good ways away I do have some of the ramen on me though!"

    Naniko looks at Miho and sighs. "Ugh, memory donor drama," she says, pinching her nose between her two index fingers as she folds the rest of her fingers together. She takes a few slow, deep breaths and drops her hands down to her sides. "I've got weird mental holdups from my memory donor. I'm going to do my best to side-step them and ask if this is a date or just an apology dinner."

Miho looks confused for a moment "Memory donor? What are you talking ab9out?" She doesn't know she does not quite understand where Naniko is coming from but she oes seem concerned for a moment. She just then defaults at the mention of is this a date or something else.

    "The person whose memories you have from before the apocalypse," Naniko says. "Your memory donor. The person whose identity shaped what this new you started out as."

Miho tilts her head for a moment. "But I am who I have always been sure a new life but." She shrugs looking very confused at this.

    Naniko tilts her head, skeptically. "You have memories from a Salamander?" she asks, raising a bluenette eyebrow.
