A night out

So Naniko had drenched miho is an very embrassing and comedic way. Naniko had offered to treat her to dinner as an apology and Miho was happy to accept. She was clad in her normal smithing gear as she was not expecting combat or naything else as she waited outside the restruant run by her friend Hifumi. Tail swaying a bit as she waits and thinks in the meantime.

    Naniko isn't dressed up. In fact, she's not dressed at all differently than she was that day. She's not got enough hair to style, so her head looks like a toothbrush. She stops as she notices Miho from a distance. It's evident to anyone near her that she's thinking of running, but she takes a deep breath and steels herself before walking up to the other woman. "Hey," she says, raising a hand in greeting. Very American of her.

Miho looks over to Naniko with a grin on her face. "Hey Naniko what's weong you look spooked." She also returns the gesture and becons her to come in. "This is a good place I know the owner and often forge things for him too. Best chef in all of yamato and the maker of ramen you don't need cooking to make." She'll head inside once Naniko has.

    "I've never been on a date before," Naniko admits, blushing a peculiar shade that further outs her as an Undine. "Well, maybe one." She clears her throat. "No," she reminds herself out loud. "That wasn't me. We just have those memories." We?

Miho looks concerned at Nanaiko for a moment. "Date I thought we were just catching a bite to eat?" Miho looks concerned ans also about the comment of Naniko's issues on idenity and just thinks. She's a smith not a shrink so there's not much she can do there.

"Eh only thin that's changed for me as the scales, horns and tail." She shrugs. "Come on lets catch up and have some good food!"

    Naniko looks over the other woman and raises an impressed pair of eyebrows. "Wow," she says. "If your memory donor really looks like that, I don't know whether to be impressed or jealous." She does seem a little more at ease with it just being a bite to eat. "Okay," she says. "Let's get a bite to eat," she says, nodding.

Miho says "I'd hate to lead you on anything like that. It wouldn't be right!" She notes with a grin and will go find a spot to sit. "So yes I was a blacksmith back on earth." She nots as she sits down and waits for Naniko.

"A family business honestly a very long history back to the warring states. Gramps would be jelous of me geting to put everything I learned to practice use."

    Naniko finds herself feeling remarkably girly as she kneels down onto the seat and smooths her hands over her poncho to make sure her legs are covered, despite wearing pants. She nods. "I get it," she says. "Not interested." She listens and smiles. "None of my memories are particularly useful," she states with a shrug. "The water magic thing is all new, but I've kinda taken to it."

Miho nods and stops. "It's better than ending up yet another office lady let me tell you." She grins and nods "Magic that's something I don't really do though i can breath fire!" She grins at this widely. "So the menu here is pretty good!"

    "I thought this was to get me away from menu food," Naniko says, though she quickly realizes what is meant and buries her blushing face in her hands. "Ugh," she says. "Okay, nevermind," she says. She picks up one of the menus and opens it. "It's been a LONG time since I let myself be around other people," she says.

Miho just laughs a bit. "Don't worry about it and yeah you seem really nervous about that. I'm thankful the Palace Landers didn't pick you off while you were solo." She says with an honest bit of concern in her view.

    Naniko shrugs. "I'm good at not being seen," she says. "I just...I've not died, yet, and I really don't want to start, you know? I spend a lot of time in the water. A lot of landers seem to forget we can do that. Undine, I mean." She looks over Miho. "Okay, since it's off the table, I do kind of want to say it's a shame it's off the table. You're very pretty." She is speaking more freely specifically because there's no danger of anything actually happening, there.

Miho says "True though one of the Palace Land Kingdoms is very naval and has a lot of Undine. Either way your find so whats the worry now. Oh i see." She grins a bit and seems to take the compliment. "Glad we kept things out in the open, I'd hate to string someone along in matters like that." She notes. Direct as a hammer strike this one.

    "Oh, definitely," Naniko says. She's relieved, definitely, but there's also hints of disappointment if Miho is good enough with people to dig under the facade. She's already confessed to having a very isolated lifestyle to keep herself safe from landers. "So," she continues, "what do you recommend here?"

Miho does catch the disappointment but thinks it would have been worse to string Naniko on or anyone else for that matter. "I'll suggest the special for today." She notes with a grin as she's getting looks like some rice, with noodles, and some meat dish of one kind or another.

"You really do need to get more social and hummm you know what I have an offer I'm inclinded to make you."

    Naniko raises a curious, blue eyebrow as she looks up from the menu at Miho. She tightens her lips, slightly, waiting a moment before saying, "What kind of an offer?"

Miho says "I could use a hand with someone to mind the smithy when I'm away and the like. Though you have to be at least okay with Dogs as I do have one."

    Naniko considers for a moment. "Would you be wanting me to do any forging?" she asks. "Because I definitely don't know how to do anything weapon or armor related," she confesses, shaking her head. "I can do accessories better than some people."

Miho says "Run the till sometimes but if you can forge accesories there are several gaps i have." She has a good supplyer for some major thing but to trouble him for more common things doesn't sit well with her and it's clear Naniko needs to be draged into being social. Perfect bait, employment...

    Naniko sighs. "I do do things," she says. "I unlock things, solve riddles and puzzles, and basically get into things so I can figure out mysteries." She puts her hands up, palms up. "If I work for you, won't that cut into my time to do such things?"

Miho says "Yes, but it will help fund your work so you are better geared and supplied." She notes with a look on her face which seems fairly confident.
