Elf in an Inn

It is a bright, sunny day in Shibuya, and the lunch rush has finally left at the Green Dragon Inn. Those that remain are regulars of the bar who do not have typical 9-5 jobs. And of course, Erufu, former resident of the Realms Forgotten and proprietor of the location.

Included in this group is also Nyanta, ETO's resident Dandy Cat. He has a long term room at the Inn, and he has also been planning on holding a large scale event here, but the Tournament has put these plans on temporary hiatus. For now, he is sitting at the bar, having a cup of tea and having a day off to celebrate the completion of the tournament registration.

Elf has been missing for several weeks only spotted once or twice to resupply. Rumor had it even the Goblin Slayer was concerned. Something was indeed up but she had been around the last few days, actually looking like she'd had sleep. Hell she was eating and clearning again so things seem to be 'over' well not quite over yet. Still she's working the Inn today. She darn well knows she won't get the people she needs with the start of the tournament near. So she's busy clearning tables getting ready for a possible lunch rush.

    For all she had been totally putting off informing her alliance that she had returned, Lunaris wasn't quite about to pass up on the finer things, like nice inns, a place to relax and perhaps even make her guild proud with a spot of commercial spirit. The latter had gone mighty rusty, after all. With that in mind she dips through the door of the inn that promised so much! Her attention on entering was divided however, part walking up to find herself a place by the counter, and part trying to calm the Soot Sprite sticking out of her pocket that was madly flailing around little candy stars in an aggressive manner. Of course, not managing much with it's relative size.

    For all that, she does perk up when spotting the rather dandy cat by the bar, and diverts her path, giving a cheery wave as she settles down nearby with a soft flick to the little soot sprite, "Morning Nyahnta! It's good to see you again!" Pauses, glancing over the counter and tapping a finger on the wood, "Any recommendations for here? Lunch sounds.. Great."

Nyanta gives a welcoming smile, "Good Morning, Lunya. I can see that your travels have treated you well, nya." He prepares another tea cup and pours some tea for Lunaris as she approaches. He currently has one eye closed, the other only half open. His seat just happens to be near enough a window where he is catching the rays of sunlight coming from outside.

Erufu had not met Lunaris or ever met her, she's about to find out though as she takes note of someone else arriving.

"Welcome to the Green Dragon. What can I do you for! Would you like to get something to eat or freaks? Prehaps you are seeking a room!?"

There Elf's ears wiggle for a second, yes they wiggle.

"You could say that! At least got a lil' subject for testing things on, he might not look like much, but he's going to help us learn so much about safety and.. Other fun stuff," Lunaris replies with a giggle, giving a little scritch to the soot as it desperately tried to throw little candy stars at the dashing cat. Whether it thought they were weapons, or that Nyanta needed added sweetness was hard to say. "How about yours? How goes the tourny? And thank you," A practical hum as she was greeted by Erufu, returning a dip of her head. "Oh! Do you have any good meats? Looks like it's going to be a long day out, but no room for me.. Then again on second thought," she sighs, tapping her finger once again, "I guess we're a little ways out, and sleeping in a tent is getting grating."

Nyanta gives a slow nod as his one open eye slowly closes and opens again. For a brief moment, his second set of eyelids remain partially closed before they open the rest of the way, though the main eyelid is still half up. "Well, I believe the tournyament is going as expected, nya. That being said, this is the first time I have helped run the tournyament, so I could not tell you one way or the other, nya."

He gives a nod to Erufu as he addresses Luna's potential for staying the night, "Erufu's rooms are quite comfurtable, nya. I have been staying here for a few weeks meow, and I highly recommend them, nya."

Erufu says "I do but We have to keep it stocked by hunting and I have...been away for a while. Still We will have a few thing if your looking for something. "Our rooms are comfortable and rates resonable! It beats being in a tent I can assure you." Memories of being dragged into some wildness hunt for goblins with a cetain Lander. Those fade as she turns her attention to Nyanta.

"I will find some help for what I have been tracking but I doubt I'll be able to do so until the opening of the tournament is finished."

Nyanta may be getting a discount on his next meal for that one.

"I'll fetch a menu!"

She notes and will pull one out of her apron passing it to Lunaris and then pulls a second for Nyanta!

    Lunaris gave a cheery nod to that and a good sip of her tea as she started to settle properly, throwing off her rucksack with a fairly loud din on the floor, filled to the brim with various adventurer-come-survivalist gear. It would be surprising that she didn't have more muscle, had she not almost purely relied on magic to keep herself afloat underneath the weight. "Going as expected sounds like a good achievement. It's a bit terrifying, sure I've faced.." A shiver runs down her spine, "U-undead.. And giant monsters, but.. I've seen what some of the other guys can do. Ugh, just please don't tell me Haru is in it.."

    Though, the more important subject perks her ears up, a little saddened to hear the lack of meat, but totally sold on the room within minutes, and she soon works through her pouches to find one slightly more jingly, "Fine, fine, I'll take a room. Going to be here for a while so, three days work? And no meat? I really should work on that ranch sooner rather than later. Problems the planning permission and red tape, but eventually," she sighs and gives her eyes a rub, "Anyway! You're trying to track something?"

Nyanta gives a toothy, cat-like grin, "Meat shortages, nya? It is a shame that I used my surplus supply with the Harvest Festival purrty over at the Dragon Larder, nya. I would have set some aside for you had I known, nya."

Takes another sip of his tea before moving one stool down the bar, as the light has moved, and he has not finished basking yet. "I did put in a good word for you with the Alliance, and it seems like there are several who wish to assist you with the Meownster Ranch, nya. Have you contacted any of them, nya?"

Erufu says "I do think Haru is on the roster." She notes as she beams as Lunaris will be taking a room for a bit.

"Oh we do have some it just can be spotty till I restore our stockpiles!" She admits she should also hit Shiruba up for more hunting now she's back too.

"Did you say a ranch?!"

This gets the pooka's attention.

"Well we do have hunting reserves but a full on ranch for animals and monsters?"

    Lunaris visibly winces at the confirmation of Haru's attendance, appears to regret everything for a moment, before trying to utterly erase the expression from her face by drinking tea. One glug. Then two... It does go for a moment before she gasps for air and fixes a decent smile back onto her face, quickly following the other topics. "Oh! I totally must have missed you asking around, I was in a cave for a bit!" Lunaris replies, because that definitely affected chimlinks, yes. "B-but, thank you! I haven't contacted people yet as it's a bit early. Due to safety concerns, it's taking a little while to get off the ground, can't get builders in yet. People are rightly concerned about monsters breaking free if they evolve and such, so we're making sure to have answers," she admitted with a wry grin.

    To Erufu she nodded excitedly, "Yeah! Planning to get one build just outside of the city, for monster produce mostly. It's going to be more on the slow side than actual animal farming like grunties, but I think some of the monster produce is going to far outstrip normal animals, even if it's more rare. Like who doesn't want to try a dire-shark steak, or the like?" The fox almost salivates at that, swaying happily in her seat, "While we're here, may as well taste the wonders, right??"

Nyanta yawns wide, opening up a portal to the Abyss, briefly, within his maw just like when any other cat yawns. "Truth be told, NWA has the most player builders of all the alliances, so if it is builders that you are having issues acquiring, then asking in Alliance Chim would assist in that as well, nya."

Erufu says "Monster ranging would be an issue yes, it would also you may wish to speak to Uta. She's run a slime ranch for several years now." The elf does seem to know her stuff. Oh monster drop meals.

"Also the crafting materials from such would be a form of incom as well and you may wish to talk to Hifumi as well he may be very interested in such."

    Lunaris lets out a soft chortle as her eyes close, enjoying the warmth and current quietness of the inn, "Ah, yeah, Uta was interested from the get go. Was almost a year ago now I brought the idea up to her. Though not really seen.. Anyone since I got back. I probably should try to reach out." She sighs, lifting a hand and waving it in the air like dispersing the thought, though her smile does brighten back up a moment later, "Honestly though, a new start is good! And nice to see we beat the palace landers back a bit. They had me a good deal worried a while back."

    "Hifumi and Tian would be good ones for the crafting materials I'd bet. You know how Tian's doing these days? They were a big help back when I was first here. Took down some gnolls from what I remember, all creepy and corrupt ones," gesticulating a crawly worm to make the point of how creepy it was, totally made sense. At least to the fox. "Honestly though, the war worries me. I probably should be focusing on that rather than the.. Uh, ranching."

Nyanta opens both eyes at the mention of the war; this isn't a topic that one talks about mid-catnap. "Nya... I would even say that now is not the time for a Tournyament given the war, but... Well, the goal of the tournyament seems to be to draw awarenyace to and suppurrt fur the war; as such, it truly is quite impurrtant, nya."

Erufu says "The ranch would provide both food and materials that would be of use in the war effort though they are out of Yamato finally." She notes with a head tilt and then looks at both. "So what do you want to order?"

    Brought back to the topic of food Lunaris chortles, having forgotten and barely even perused the menu, with a shrug she'll pass is back, "Surprise me, I'll have the special if you have one. Adventurers, adventurous mood, something something." That with a gleaming smile before nodding in agreement, "Sure enough it'll help with materials, but the projects long term. Even after the building is done, well.. I don't know how many people have tried to even do monster husbandry. Even that's experimental. Well, other than Slimes and Uta who've made good strides in that part." To Nyanta's sentiment her ears dipped just a touch, "Yeah, no kidding. Getting everyone focused on the above ground. Though it's everything else that's worrying."

Nyanta's ears flick a little at Erufu's question, "You would not, purrchance, happen to have any fish on hand, nya?"

He does seem rather invested in the conversation with Lunaris, though, "What would you be repurring to by 'E-fur-ything else', nya? Purrhaps you are meowr in the know than I, nya? Would you care to share, nya"

Erufu makes a note "One special and yes I do have fish on hand so one spcial and one thing off our fish section? Will there be anything else?" She sayus as she turns about to head out to the kitchen to get the cook to make the orders.

    At Nyanta's question the Cait Sith tilted her head, a mix of surprise followed by a look that seemed to all but be trying to weigh the dapper cat up. She shifted forward on her seat, almost haunching over the bar and making sure they were at least guarded from prying ears. Plus this gave her a surface with which to gesticulate at. Even if Sir Soot darted straight out of her pocket to start pinning little stars against every mug and and plate in sight. Like glitter, they spread, never would they all be found, truly the soot sprites own little curse.

    "That depends, I might not know that much more than you. Things like Root Towns and the like. You see, before I joined up with NWA, I thought this place really was just a game we were stuck in, but it didn't take all too long for me to start doubting that after," her tone slightly quieter, the fox certainly having grown more serious in the meantime, "Have you ever been to Shibuya Crossing? Not just what NWA calls Shibuya, the.. Real one? I've been there. It's under one of the cities here. Though, this place isn't the best for a conversation, if you want, we can chat later. I've been wanting a bit of another look myself. A expedition if y'like!" With that she shifted back, having doodled various images with her fingers, namely '109' was scrawled there before that conspiratorial look of hers vanishes, eager for whatever food was coming her way.

Nyanta chuckles, flashing a dashing smile, complete with snaggletooth fang, which glints in the light, "Well, if a lady draws the courage to ask a gentleman on a date, he is obligated by decorum to accompany her, nya. Exploring the secrets of the world is a passion of mine that I had given up on for a long time... but I have recently been seeking the op-purr-tuna-ty to adopt this pastime of mine once meowr, nya. It's a date, then, nya." With that said, he too is looking to the doors of the kitchen in antici.......................................pation of the fish that he is about to receive.

Erufu will return some time later with two platters, she'll set the special down for Lunaris which seems to be some grunty steak deal. While Nyanta gets western style fish and chips. She'll leave the proper condtemtn and trot off to deal with some more customers with a wave.
