Grabbing a Drink

TBD

Narii Tidesong
Tolbana - The Dragon's Larder

It had been one of those lovely kinds of day where the temperature was perfect, and most adventurers had been running around in the crazy way they usually do. Landers were hard at work, and the tavern was preparing for the soon customer rush that would crest as afternoon surrendered to the evening. That meant it was all but the perfect time to take things at a lulled pace and garner your energy for later. The current patrons were fewer and a quieter lot, more interested in chats and hushed tones rather than those whiling away the evening.

Surprisingly, it wasn't Narii's favourite time, she kind of preferred the drunken revelry and off-key songs, while at the moment her time was taken washing down the counter and occasionally giving a too-wide smile to a patron as they ordered something boring, and tame like tea. Who goes to a tavern and just orders tea? And then doesn't even chat with the barkeep. She hides a small sigh behind the cleaning rag before shrugging and returning to her work, promising herself that things will undoubtedly liven up later. They always did eventually.
Nyanta
Tolbana - The Dragon's Larder

While Nyanta is definitely the type of person to order tea at a bar such as this, it tends to be of the Long Island variety when he's at establishments such as this. Still, such is not why he is here. He is here for a purpose...

The Dandy Cat slides his way into the tavern smooth as silk and eases into a seat at the bar like water. He flashes the new bar tender a smile only a cat could give, half-lidded and chill as ice. "Ah. I have yet to have the purrleasure of making your acquainance before, nya. Might I have the pleasure of hearing your name, nya?" Greeting the new bartender isn't why he is here either, but it certainly is a wonderful distraction.
Erufu
Tolbana - The Dragon's Larder

Erufu did know Vertina in passing and had spoken to her about buying certain brews from her own Inn. The thigh boot wearing short wearing elf wanders in with a cloak ab9out her. Ears wiggle a bit as she looks about and will be moving towards the bar.

"Ah, I see Vertina is not in, is she?"
Narii Tidesong

There was a soft humming from the counter as Narii tackled the hard on lower side, as always trying to be bleached away by alcohol. It's only as she hears Nyanta's footsteps that she pulls herself up on the dark wood, blinks once in a decidedly more reptilian manner and then gave as soft a smile as she could really manage. It.. Wasn't the worst. Probably. There was a good reason the Were Fang attempted to diffuse some of the oddness with random accessories. "It'ss Narii, and aren't you.. Weren't you in the tournament?" A slight sibilance alighting her words. "Ah, ahead of myself. What'd you like to drink?"

Erufu's appearance seems to surprise the barkeeper, earning a tilt of the head at actually having an earlier influx of patrons, though perhaps it wasn't all too surprising if they were looking for Vertina. "Vertina's out for the moment. Delivery I think. Did you ssee the pale looking guy outside by the way? Really couldn't hold his liquor. Been hanging around a few hourss now, I think."
Nyanta
Tolbana - The Dragon's Larder

Nyanta bows his head, "Sake, you would, nya. Ah, did you receive a shipment of tuna today, nya? Your chef makes such excellent Tuna Rolls, and if they are available, I would very much wish to purrtake, nya." Nyanta then nods, "Oh, yes: I am one of the Tournyameownt coordinyators, so I supurrse you would say that I am IN the tournyameownt, even if I am nyat purrticipating, nya."

He notices Erufu's arrival and waves, "If it isn't my favorite denisen of the Furrgotten Realms, nya. Greetings."
Erufu

Erufu says "Then I shall remain here for a time I did need something to drink." She grin and will pull up to the bar as she looks the bar keeper over for a moment.

"Oh I see."

She makes no comment she can totally handle booze, just ask her party. Wait no don't /ask/ them. She grinsd at Nyant and will look him over. "Ah the tournament has been quite the show has it not?"

The barkeep wipes off her hands with the rag as the pair gives their orders, before tossing it off to the side and giving a small nod, "Coming right up, let me just go and tell the kitchen. Don't know what they have prepared this early." She even managed to not grin at the cat asking for a tuna roll, it was going well so far. Turning around she vanishes out the back door, leaving the patrons to deal with themselves for but a moment.

In mere moments she's back, sorting the drinks and putting full use to her height with the stacked shelves of alcohol, soon planting a cup of sake down infront of Nyanta, before pushing a tankard of some odd ale towards Erufu, more or less guessing what alcohol they were asking for. "Varied suppliess, I think. We more or lesss have a constant delivery schedule here, keeps things fresh," she explains without a hurry in the world, before her smile pulls a bit too far back at Nyanta's comment, "Ah, a coordinator indeed? I only saw you about over there. I've been hearing a lot of interessting things from that cup, has it been going well?"

To Erufu she tilts her head at the nonchalant answer about the other patron, but shrugs, he was someone elses problem when outside the tavern anyway. She was sure he was safe enough at any rate.
Nyanta

Nyanta chuckles, "Yes, I believe that the tournyameownt has been serving its purrpose: drawing awareness to the War, nya. There have been plenty of adventurer volunteers in order to save their Korean comrades, and I have to say things are going well in that regard, nya."

He takes a sip of the sake, savoring the flavor on his tongue. Nyanta DOES notice that she's trying hard not to smile at his cat-speak. The only reaction he displays is that the corners of his mouth lift up just a little bit more, as if to indicate that his cat-speak is serving its purrpose. "And the matches themselves are spectacles all of their own, nya. I reminds me how rusty I have gotten in my dueling... I have to get back into the swing of things, nya."
Erufu

Erufu says "Just get me the specisl and and I'll have a mug of ale!" There is no one to stop her, you are all doomed. She thinks for a momenr as she'll late.

"Corridnator work need to be done on an event that large, yes." She looks to Nytant for a moment.

"Ah you should never let your skills dull in a world such as this."

She now trying to size up the bartender.

"Thank you, I'll let pick on the type of ale then."

"It does that, but the whole thing is a great source of gossip too, and taverns thrive on that more than they do coin at timess," Narii replied, settling herself on the counter for the moment as she talked away. That was, after all, part of her role. Listening to patrons and maybe leaving them an interesting tidbit or two. "Heard there was a gargoyle seen over there. Though, obviously you'll know more about that one. But sseriously, it's all people are talking about, a shame, ssincerely. They were talking about the Moons beforehand, now /that/ was fascinating." Sometimes people just got a bit too obsessed over things, at least Narii thought so. You could only hear the same gossip so many times before you started groaning. "Though good to know it'ss going well. That's promising."

To Erufu she just proffers the mug, filled with a pale ale, it wasn't the best of their alcohol, but the scent it gave off alone was pretty potent. And as long as she was paying, Erufu could have as much alcohol as they wanted. "Sure, keep your skillss sharp, this war hass shown the importance of that." Then glancing back at the kitchen door and rising to her full height she adds, "Lookss like the rolls are done. One moment." Vanishing back before finally emerging once again with some pristine tuna rolls that look freshly made.
Nyanta
Tolbana - The Dragon's Larder

Nyanta's eyes open wide at the sight of the Tuna rolls. His eyes almost seem... Crazed. While Narii has just met the Dandy Cat, Nyanta has been staying at Erufu's Inn long term, so she would know that this is by far uncharacteristic of the Coolest Cat in ETO, even for when he is having sushi. He worldlessly picks up one of the rolls with delicate fingers and gently puts it on his tongue. He chews. Once. A pause. Twice. A longer pause.... Thrice. He stares blankly ahead of himself before slapping the bar quietly. He swallows. "FUGU." He locks eyes with Narii. "FUGU." He looks at Erufu. "FUGU!" Nyanta does not say goodbye. He does not finish his sake. He doesn't even finish the Tuna rolls that seem to have put him in this state. He rushes out the door with haste. What could have come over Nyanta!?
Erufu

Erufu is happy to sit in place.

"Oh you can gain a lot from such talk. I do run and own the Green Dragon Inn. I had come to talk about shipments of drink from Vertina."

She noted and that's why she's wiating.

"Not a probl..."

She pasuses and stares at Nyanta as he just gets the Zoomies? There's no other way to explain it but the look is one normally only Goblin Slayer gets from her.

Narii had seen many odd things as a barkeep that often has a patronage of adventurers, but Nyanta's reaction to the tuna rolls was something wholly new. Not only did the dapper cat go tuna mad, but immediately rushed out the door after yelling. A stunned silence soon falls on the whole establishment, and in truth it never quite lets up, after a moment of held breath, the reptilian Were Fang just lowers her elbow to the counter and shrugs. "Thatss a new one for the book. Well, at least he seems harmlesss. But come now, he didn't even have any interesting stories from the tournament, thought for sure an organiser might."

One early patron down, her attention focused on the equally odd elf, well, not equally odd. But who wants a drink quite this early. "Oh, the Green Dragon? I've heard of there, quite a wayss, no? Vertina might not be in, but I can leave a note. I'm sure she'll be interessted. I sshould probably get back to working on brewing at ssome point. After we have more handss."
Erufu
Tolbana - The Dragon's Larder

Erufu pauses for a moment "Wait did he not say Fugu?!" This is as close as she might ever get to breakind character.

"Isn't trhat an infamous dish..." She now looks at her food very concernedly and her drink. She then looks at the door. She nods "I'll do that!" She beams, oh the things that would happen after she had some drink into her, well the singing wouldn't be so bad but her seeming mopyness about an fellow whom she's sweet on being denses as heck...
