The mayor of Rovia, located on the fourth floor of the tower, has requested the aid of adventurers in thinning the population of the wolfgarm monsters in the nearby forest. These monsters have been attacking the town and, if nothing is done, it'll only be a matter of time before lander blood is spilt.

The forest leading away from the village is thick with smoke at first. Doubtless a plan by peasants to keep those finnicky wolves in check. But it is just towards such wolves our travelers head, a trio of world-weary adventurers who were told "WOLVES!" And had to go in the direction given. Because they are adventurers.

Jayu is still training as the party moves, punching and kicking as he goes. No XP Wasted. "This should be some good dodging practice. Wolves are fast. Tough, too." He's really starting to work up a sweat with all that TRAINING he's doing.

Soujiro Seta could not agree more on the idea of good practice, "Lots of enemies. Lots of changes to dodge, parry, and counter attack." Wolves. Where there are RPG there are wolves. And Rats.

Lauren is about to say something, to interrupt companionable silence, but the entire group sees it: a pair of wolfgarms, dumb creatures they are, with their backs to the approaching trio. Lauren, not the stealthiest of people, leans forward to get a group opinion.

Jayu uses air magic to amplify his voice, and he emulates the call of the most terrifying thing he ever saw in the Palace Lands: the Kangaroo-Platypus, or Platyroo for short. Apparently, these wolves have heard this call before too, as they hightail it out of there, especially with all that lightning coming down on them.

Soujiro Seta has the endurance to do a chase scene. All. Day. Long. This is another training day for Soujiro. Only with an objective. So its a bit like a dog racetrack.

Jayu adopts a perfect joggers pose as he starts to hussle. He finds his stride relatively quickly, and gives Soujiro a grin as he actually manages to keep up with the Samurai. That's probably because neither of them are trying to OVERTAKE the wolves, just follow them, but... Ehn. Take what you get.

And now.... The final but less difficult portion of setting alight that which is in dark. "I think I can manage this," Lauren says. "How on earth do these creatures /live/ in this darkness?"

One big wolgram is not a big problem at all for Souji. Master of melee. Fighter of wolves. He gives that big bad a run for his money with not one, but two katanas. Watch out.

Soujiro Seta responds to this call to help. Souji always responds to those in help. Sometimes they dont even know they need help and there he is with a warm blanket and a cup of tea. Sparkles. Tea and sparkles are not useful shields, however.

Soujiro Seta is also all about the striking, but with katanas! One does not simply STOP attacking because it is dead. You can get more training swings in. "That was a fun challenge," he says, adding in a few extra swings.
