A Night At The Pub

    'Twas February, and the ice and snow - were a moderate annoyance for the citizens of Shibuya. Fortunately there are refuges from the weather aplenty, including the popular Green Dragon Inn. The roaring fire in the tavern's hearth wards away the chill, even when new arrivals let in a bit of frosty air from outside. And the hot food and cold ale warm the insides as well.

    It isn't unusual at all, in a place like this, for a bard to take the stage and entertain the audience, to 'sing for their supper' as it were. The Spriggan, Miyako Blacklily, is no stranger to the hotseat, although many of her songs are considered somewhat *odd* by Landers. (Adventurers, on the other hand... well.)

    "Thank you, thank you all," she says over what applause there may be. "Please, don't throw bottles, just money. I'm gonna take a break and wet my whistle, maybe grab something to eat, but I'll be back, don't you worry." She smiles and steps down from the stage, guitar disappearing into her inventory, as she makes her way over to the bar.

Yeowang has been spending more time around Eas than Shibuya lately, but progress on clearing monsters out of the road -is- making slow progress, and she has returned with a supply ship to check on things. She's been spending much of her time training, and of course no one would argue that Yuuki is the ideal trainer in-game. But she is a member of NWA, and has tasks she performs for the Alliance, so she's come back to take care of a few of those tasks.

After her work is done, supper in the warm in the Green Dragon Inn is nice, even if she finds Miyako's song as alien as the Landers do. She never followed popular music back home, nor when she came to Japan, so she's not familiar with anyone's top 40. But she can recognize that some do, and she can at least smile to Miyako as she comes over toward the bar where she's drinking a hot tea.

    Recognizing Yeowang, Miyako nudges her way past the last layer between her and the bar, sliding in to grab an empty seat just ahead of someone else. "Evening," she offers her fellow Adventurer. "Been a while. How's life treating you?"

Yeowang laughs as Miyako snags the seat, and says, "Good evening! Life is good, so far, I suppose. I'm working on a few things, but not too much on my plate right now. I'm wondering what Proph has done with my boyfriend, but I suppose I will find out. How have you been?"

Look! Over there!

It's a bullet!

It's a flash!

No, it's Kotono, the acrobatic Spriggan, dashing in quickly, and upon realizing that she's missed Miyako, she puts her hands on her knees and sighs. "I'm late again!" She shakes her head before walking over to sit along side Miyako. She gives a nod to Yeowang, but the look on her face indicates she looks gloomy.

Shiruba strolls into the Green Dragon Inn, though much of her attention is on a couple of parchments in her hands. But the wolfgirl's navigational skills hold true and she steps around tables almost instinctively before finally finding a spot to sit and doing so. Shuffles the parchments and mutters something to the manner of "So much information, so little time" partially to herself.

Erufu hsas been busy waiting tables for the last little bit and is very pleased she put up the stage when she had this place built it's paid of so well and she'll come ov er to the small gathering.

Shes got an menu under arm and is in her waitress outfit.

"So need anything?"

    Miyako nods to Yeowang. "Proph's good people. Worst he'll do is drag 'em into a dungeon or three." She turns to greet Kotono with a grin. "Hey there, Ko-chan. Back from your quest already? I thought you weren't due back until tomorrow."

    She looks up at Erufu and nods. "Something warming and filling... got some stew on? And my usual to go with it."

Yeowang is more or less facing the door, and waves to her Guild Leader as she enters the Inn. "Hello," she calls. "What is it you're reviewing?" she wonders. Did she miss something? She's tried to help keep things from bogging Shiruba down, but people tend to go straight to the boss with issues. "Can I help with anything?"

She'd gotten hot tea from Erufu earlier, so doesn't need anything right now. "I'm fine for now," she replies.

She nods to Miyako about Proph. "Probably got him working on some project," she agrees. "Scale are very productive, though I think Olympus is pulling ahead now. Wake's got a grand vision. I'm sad to say we're behind the curve as far as world-changing projects recently."

"When you're an acrobatic Spriggan, you can do things faster than you believe," Kotono answers. "Still, I guess I need to figure out my scheduling better." She orders a root beer before looking to Miyako. "At least I made it, right?"

Wolf ears flick at hearing familiar voices and Shiruba looks up. "... Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't notice you guys there." She achems softly. "Just going over scout reports and such. With the survey work for Eas done other than small ongoing adjustments many of them have rejoined the efforts to better clear the route between Ouph and Shibuya."

Then tilts her head towards Erufu and smiles. Ah, food, still one of her greatest loves of this world. "Got anything new on the menu?"

Erufu grins "The stage is proving it's worth so far!"

She sems very happy with the performace tonight too her ears are wiggling at it all. She also looks over to Shiruba.

"Got a few new things we have the Slayer Special!"

She will start taking orders as well.

"So care to give the special a shot?! I tracked and hunted the meat for it myself!"

    Miyako pats Kotono's hand, nodding. "Yes, m'dear, you made it. I'll be doing another set in an hour or so, once I've got some food in me and a bit of rest." She grins and waggles her eyebrows at the other Spriggan. "Maybe I'll have something special to sing for you."

    She catches only the end of Erufu's comment about the special. Still, in two years of wandering Yamato, she's learned not to be too picky about her food. "Sure, sure," she says. "I'll give anything a try at least once."

    Looking around, she notices others have begun to show up, and sends a wave and a "Good evening, neihbor" to Shiruba.

Yeowang nods to Shiruba about clearing the way between Ouph and Shibuya. "I'm glad that's getting some traction," she agrees. She'd worked hard on putting together the scouting and preliminary work involved.

She was amazed at the Slayer Special, unfamiliar with the appetite of Lina Inverse, the portions seemed huge. She follows Miyako's glance over to Kotono and smiles a greeting to her as well. "Good evening!" she calls.

Shiruba laughs. "As long as the Slayer Special isn't goblin meat, sure," she replies. Or at least that's who she'd assume the meal is named after, knowing Erufu's affinity for a certain extremely badass Lander.

Erufu makes a face at Shiruba. "Why would i even... someone would get ill!" She makes a face at the thought of eating goblins. She looks to everyone one last time.

"I'll be back with your orders in a moment." With that the Elf gives a little bow and trots off.

Yeowang makes a face at the mention of goblin meat, having not guessed the other possible origin of the Slayer Special. "Would he eat that?" she wonders. She knows Goblin Slayer, but not very well, and she hasn't seen or heard about him in probably over a year. She will look to Erufu for clarification, "/Is/ it named after him? He seems like ... well, I guess I don't know him very well," but Erufu's headed back to the kitchen.

That said, Yeowang covers a yawn and apologizes. "Today was busy, and I must sleep," she apologizes. "You all have a good evening," she says and heads out.

    Miyako nods to Shiruba, waving casually. "Sleep well, then," she offers, and turns most of her attention back to Kotono. "So, since you're here and not all gloomy-guts, I take it everything went well on your little trip?" she asks. "I know you said there were some fairly high-level mobs..."

"I got some nice loot," Kotono answers. "And sure there were high-level mobs, but life is all about challenges!" She grins and strikes a pose before continuing. "At any rate, it's always nice to be back home."

"By the Goddesses I would hope not... Then the joke wouldn't be funny," Shiruba replies. "So I imagine it's named after the other Slayer reference... which honestly would make more sense." Being food and all. "Sounds like you had quite the expedition Kotono."

Erufu will reutn a bit later with everyone's order handing out drinks and food, she seems to like this. Sure who ever she was on Earth may have done the waitress bit but... not as the place's owner!

"So I hope you enjoy it and ius there anything else you need or want?"

    Miyako smiles. She has her stew. She has her Ko-chan. And she's had a good set of music, with another one to come. "Thank ou," she offers Erufu. "This is quite good."

"Should be good, thanks Erufu." Shiruba sets aside her paperwork for the moment and wastes little time with digging into her meal.

Kotono has ordered some stew as well, and it arrives eventually along with another root beer. "Much appreciated," She says with a smile.
