Dude Where's My Forge

    June has sent a message to Miho on where to meet up for their date. Since she plans on drinking and monster fighting well... that's what the Tower is good for, not much better than heading up from Tolbana to drunkenly punch monsters. Besides the town has a Onsen and a Healer and craft beer... what isn't to love?

    She has started early hanging out in the tavern sampling beers and relaxing.

Miho had been happy she's rsied so much money for the Red Chain, though she'd not expected to be bid on by a woman let alone June. Still a deals a deal and there's no harm in it? Given where it's set it should be a fun time, right? Miho had June friended. So it was easy enough for her to find June as she wandered into the bar tail swishing and calls out "June?!"

    June lifts a hand and waves the small middle aged woman in the Red Sonja cosplay smiling widely. "Hey there sexy tail!" her smile morphs into an impish grin and she drains another of the small 'flight' glasses she's been tasting her way through the bars offerings with.

Miho waves to June and her tail just goes up at that comment sand she turns red a bit as she comes over join June. "I'm shocked anyone would bit so much on me but we raised a lot for the Red Chain, right?" She'll move to sit down and thread her tail through the back of her chair as she does so.

    June smiles and nods "Well it's all for charity and I have more stuff than sense." she says with a bright tone and a chuckle. "Comeon sit, join me in trying all the beer!" She says happily as she waves for another flight of tasters.

Miho grins and will reach over for a few of the samplers. "Aye I know the feeling i put a lot of my coin back into my forge or working on projects." She grins "Nice to be making more than kitchen knives, not that I don't like that but all the rest my grandfather and uncle taught me is getting put to use you know." She downs a few samplers and goes for more. Oh dear...

    June nods her head "Ooh yah, well I mean... I was a language consultant for games." she says and downs another beer 'shot' classifying it and ranking it on a little slate as she's been doing for all the flights she's drinking. "But I you know just kicked ass in game... it's what I spent my time doing outside of work. I'm a Sleeping Knight... they wouldn't really let me stay in the office so..." she shrugs

Miho says "Oh I hear you we're alike than that regard I was a Blacksmith before this and you were always a scribe no?" She takes another beer and pauses. "Oh this one's really good!" She tiolt he rhead for a moment. "Good guild some of the best in Yamato honestly. Oh why not? Given your skills with linguistic wouldn't you be a good one to have around when needed?"

    June snorts "I duno if you know much about the Sleeping Knights... I mean from back before the black wave?" she says "We all are uhm... like we're all homebound or hospitalized." she says and sips another beer. "UH well the Flash kinda screwed me up." she sips the beer again "Folks notice sometimes that I spend a lot of time talking to myself... I've got nothing up here." she says tapping the side of her head and then switches languages speaking in a flowing elvish (which still gets translated) "Junie, she doesn't really need to hear all your shit... just talk about beer and shit." she says before switching back to Japanese "Some of these are real good."

Miho says "I heard a bit but not much more I got to know your guild better after we all ended up here. The flash ruined a lot of lives..."

She's about to say more when June swaps to Elfih and it dawns on her. "The beers are good...some of the people of the Land and other Adventurers have talent. You ever meet a man named Taggart and has has drink for sale buy it. It's celtic magic as he says."

    June chuckles "I'll keep an eye out for him then." she says with a smile "But yah... I worked from home mostly cause I had some issues in the office." she says shrugging and downs another beer. "I'm a... HR liability or something." she says and follows that with a switch to dwarvish that involves a number of references to false metals, poor construction, and cloudy gemstones.

Miho drowns another sampler and thinks. "Never had to deal with HR, got back to Japan from America. Took care of Grandpa and Grandma. Finished up high school and chased the old man to teach me how to bend mental. Sounds like HR is ... just about as worth while as a pack of goblins or Orcs."

    June snorts "Where in the states?" she asks in English "I grew up in Las Vegas." she offers and downs another glass and takes notes. "You kiss a few interns, tell a VP his ass looks nice in those pants..." she shakes her head "Couldn't fire me cause..." she knocks on the side of her temple and then downs another beer.

Miho says "The Midwest, my father had a posting from his company there, I spent the tail end of grade school, all of middle school and but one year of high school there. Couldn't fire you for various reasons given you couldn't be replaced I suspect."

    June snorts again "And I'm disabled, woulda been a real nightmare trying to fire me for impulse control issues when it's the Flash left me that way." she shrugs "I can't..." she taps hertemple again "Got nothing up here just..." she takes another big swallow. "Anyway my folks were in aerospace, and I grew up in Las Vegas, went to Uni, worked there till." she knocks on her temple again "Then I came home to live with my folks... got picked up for several game gigs. Got stuck at home, joined the Knights." she takes another drink and puts down some notes. "It's why I'm not like weirded out by the whole Black Wave thing... I pretty much lived in here between projects anyway." she sticks her tongue.

Miho says "Sounds like your family aimed very high when it came to education." She takes another and nods. "Glad your still hear at least if I had nothing out there ... my social life would be a mess." She confesses. "You have done better than I would have." She listens some more and downs another samplers.

"ETO was more of a down time break thing for me hell my name used to be Front Loaded pillows for obvious reasons. I was lucky i was able to change it a day before we all ended up here..." She turns red. "I'd have died of embrassedment forever..."

    June snorts again and giggles before tossing back another beer. "Front loaded pillows?" she says, but it's clear she says it in Japanese, but starts going through a list of words to use for pillows trying to find a pun in the kanji, or katakana of each, getting lost for a while just going through ways to make Front Loaded Pillows funny somehow.

Miho smirks "A joke my sister made about my...assets." She says with a bit of a grin and then. "Injoke she dared me to name my character when we started to play and I called her bluff that I wouldn't."

    June waves at herself "Body scan." she says and shrugs "Never could think long enough to actually build an avatar I wanted so..." she shrugs "But I picked my race and well when it came up to a Gygax special I had to keep it." she grins and is suddenly an iron scaled cowgirl. She downs another beer and takes more notes.

Miho grins widly and says "I body scanned as well." She doesn't tell many she did it be a hell of a shock if somehow people ended back up on earth and ran into miho again. "We wouldn't have out TT games in japan if it wasn't for what he started." she tilt he rhead a bit for a moment and stares. "Woah..." her tail went right up ion suprise at that transformation.

    June smiles, her muzzle pulling back a bit and showing big rock crunching teeth in that bovine muzzle. "Libyan Gorgon... well his take on it anyway. Iron scales, petrifying breath, eats gravel." she chuckles and shrugs then shrinks back to her normal shape and drains another glass of beer.

Miho says "Well i can breath fire but that's about it. I should be very careful when i have been drinking with that." She looks over the form of June. "Damn that's quite the trick. So figured out which of the samplers you want more of?"

    June laughs "I don't really care." she shows her notes, most of them say 'yup it's beer'. "I mostly was knocing them back till you got here so I could tell what they had." she says and orders a random pint of one that says 'Yup it's beer' but with a little checkmark next to it.

Miho laughs "I'll get a pint of what your having then. So yeah I become one of the best known smiths in yamato and I'm not sure what to do now I feel the need to make something grand to be this worls Masamune..."

    June waves for another pint of what she ordered. "We LOONS will get the chaos gates working again one of these days... I'm already one of the greatest scribes in the known lands." she produces a slip of paper from her hip case. "I've already got Ofuda." she writes a few kanji with a flowing script, quite beautiful actually. Then she picks it up and 'doots' it on your forehead where it hangs a half second before bursting into white light that cures any status ailments you might have. "And I've got these." she says putting her cestus on the bartop, there are very fancy latin letters engraved across the knuckle plates.

Miho says "Loons will it's just a matter of time with the sort of people working on it. Yes you do and ... thats still quite the enchanted wepaon. I'm not the best enchanter but I'm pretty sure that latin isn't just for show ... is it?"

    June smiles and shakes her head "Not at all, scripture, just like my Ofuda the words ARE the enchantment." she grins "Means that the pen... or at least engraving stylus is more powerful than the sword... unless someone manages to make enchantments USING swords instead of ON them." she sticks her tongue out.

Miho says "I think I get it, I'm just acceptable at enchaing myself, and maybe i will encant thing sinto a sword to rival your own what would you do about that if I did! You know I made a material that's easier to recharge with enchantments right I wonder would that be useful to you?" she sticks her own tounge out...

    June laughs "Nono when you can swing a sword and it enchants something ELSE that's what I mean silly." she says draining back another beer. "But materials that can be recharged easier would be pretty cool, I mean might make my idea for scribing enchantments on people better. I mean if it's something that makes a good ink."

Miho looks back to June grinning as she downs another drink. "Oh really I think I could make something up if your interested though. Ever consider making the needles out of it?" She tilts her head curious about this for a second then downs the rest of her drink before she reaches for another one!

    June shrugs and smiles "Well that might work, I mean it couldn't hurt to have better needles. I'm still working with Scripture just like my spell scrolls and knuckles are enchanted without enchanting just Scripture. So the tattoo's will just be scripture but hopefuly give buffs."

Miho smirks "I'll master craft them easily you know. I also do a bit of enchanting myself." She smirks. "This evening is going so well." She grins and calls a waitress over a blonde Sylph to make an order. She'll older a platter of a whole lot of different meat.

"You'll make them look good right?"

    June laughs "Of course I will I mean the scripture has to be done properly and so you've got that whole thing going, and then scripture has some flourshes and embeleshments like in illuminated scripts where you have whole scenes built around a single letter."

Miho says "Oh so kinda like on the scale of Yakzua tattoos then?" She grins as she wiat on her order. "I think I have hit a wall with my own smithing at the moment but I'll break through it, I will be Yamato's legendarty weapon smith."

    June taps Miho on the nose "Nono like...have you ever seen a really old bible? Where the first letter is red and there is all this art work that scrolls around the page and everything else is very fancy caligraphy? That's the kind of thing." she grins "It's like so very cool and can be done with almost any art style so long as that style blends well with the writing."

Miho says "Oh an illumninated text right?" She Looks June and is beeped at this point. "...Few would dare to boop me." She notes and then thinks about it for a moment. "Yesh thats a pretty good base to work off..."

June nods her head "Well I dare much..." she grins "So is it killing monsters, shopping, or dinner next?" she asks as she drains another beer happily.

Miho says "Dinner then we can head out to shop and maybe monster slay?" She grins "Don't want to do it on an empty stomach, right?" She seem to be in very good spirits at this point chugging another beer.

And thus starts the street foods montage with June hanging off of Miho's arm half the time. Trying to do things like steal bites of Miho's food, and trying to feed Miho things she herself has enjoyed but with her fingers instead of off a stick.

It's quit the wild time all the street food, june's antic and she does look somewhat not sure what to do as June stat stealing her food that may get a few short breath of fire, which is dangerous given she's been drinking thankfully nothing happens and when she gets fed? Miho has a stunned look the first time. Also there's more booze what could go wrong...

    Booze and food and walking the streets of Tolbana leads to armor and clothing shopping, which of course transitions into a clothes changing, funny outfits, at least one convinently censored wardrobe malfunction, montage.

Miho is indedd one of the ones who suffers a wardrobe malfuction thankfully with her hair and tail any ture embrassment is avoided though Miho is bright red for next little bit but between the booze and Junes suggestion she buys some outfits she'd never consider normally.

    June has at least one wardrobe malfunction, but that's probably more opening the curtain timing rather than failure of product given her stature. And then it's time to kill all the low level monsters... or at least rampage through some lowbie monster spawns with drunken cosplay and massive overkill.

The monster hunting rampage is fun, goblins, kobolds a whole lot of goblins and its rather scary how good Miho is with her Naginata when drunk. She's shockingly good at fighting she's also a bit brutal as they rampage still with the cosplay rampage that would get Morri' attention. Wait Morri is so going to find out about this, the good news is the pair cover all their expenses for hte night so far!

    A montage is had and the drinking continues between raids on goblins and kobolds, and other low monsters, but not slimes cause June cares that Uta cares and most of the time slimes are just silly little bloops and only need kiling when they get big or smart. At the end when they go to turn in all the trash loot, instead June gets a blacksmith to trade time for Miho to make tattoo needles.

Miho is even drinking from a gourd full of booze at some point during the fighting too. When all is said and done though Miho has had a heck good time. She's giddy she's had enough in her she's even got a bit flirty. When the talk about a blacksmith thoughc omes up she grins. "So that material I should have enough on me to make you a whole tattooins needle set out of it! I think this will be fun!"

Unless someone stops her Miho's going to get right to work!

    June came up with the plan, she's not going to stop her. And the blacksmith has been paid in far too many low monster drops. June however will help. And by help she means she'll sit and watch with a somewhat lewd expression and drink more. Who doesn't love watching strong ladies black smith, the answer is not June, she's a big fan.

Miho has changed into her smithing gear that shows off more of her than the samurai style dress. She gets to work and June is geting an unintional show as she works. The hammers and tong and more get to work as Miho shapes the enchantment friendly material into shape it shouldn't take her too long as these are not weapons.

"So your going to help with the enchanting work right you out do me in that department."

    June laughs "Well I mean, I'll engrave for you that's totally different. It's not enchanting it's scripture." she says pulling out her engraving tools. "That's the point it's all writing, and writing IS magic."

Miho smirks "Very well that still will help and you will have the best tattoo needles in all of Yamato if not the Palace Lands as well when this done." Clang clang she will work a bit longer until the needles are ready for June. "Well you engrave and I'll put the enchants on as well as why not, right?"

    June settles in and despite having had plenty of booze throughout the night, her hands are steady as stone and she sets the needle set into vice one at a time, each getting the inscription 'verum scribere'. When the last stroke is neatly carved in each needle it takes on a faint glow the words bearing the magic.

Miho watches Juine as she finishes she notices the glow she doesn't need to do much more than the standra enchanment to make them more durable and ad a tiny little makler makr to each needlke this will tkae a bit before she finishges up the set but then she's holding it there. "Well there you go one enchanted inscri=bed set of Tattoo needles! So whatcha plan to do now?!"

    June grins, a slightly manic looking grin that says trouble is coming to anyone who's thinking straight. "Well now, I need a canvas and we'll see if scribing works as well on people as it does on gear." she says and drains the beer she was drinking while watching Miho work. "Ever wanted Ink?" and that is the sound of the other boot.

Miho pauses for a moment as she look at June, given she's had far too much booze what might be a flight of fancey sounds like a great idea. "Why the heck not! I already have some magical ink on my arms so do avoid there." She notes with a grin. "We'd need to get somewhere cleaner than a forge though for it right?"

    June packs up her new tools points towards the door, and with a loud voice says. "To Waffles! Er... uhm.. food and and inn!" she giggles like someone half her age and then heads for the door. Looks like an inn and possibly room service or at least taking food to a room is in the cards.

Miho grins at this. She also has just enough sense to make sure he has some healing pots for after this is ofer. She laughs out loud. "This is such a great Idea why did I not do it before." Her tail is swishing happilyu as they make for an Inn. "I think i know one that will give room service!"

    June heads along with Miho arm in arm hunting down the Inn in question, getting a room, and an oddly knowing look from the front desk attendant. Then it's on to a room. "Top off and on the bed!" she says brightly even as she turns her back to start setting things up on a table. Because who doesn't just make loud demands that could obviously be mistaken by the staff member still in the hallway?

Miho is in good spirit her tail is wagging and she laughs at the commadn. "If I wasn't getting some ink I think i might be in danger" She muses as she does as orderd and will lay down, she also gets her braid out of the way as she does so. She's had too much to think about what rumors could spawn from tonight

    Time passes in a montage of shots as June puts her maxed out Scripture to work and leaves the top center of Miho's back with the poem of Elbereth artfully applied around an illumination of the paired trees of Valinor. The script intended as a protective boon as in the way of Elves of Middle Earth.

The upside of being an adventurer is the reduced pain one feels so Miho i not complainging or worried as June works. she'll chat with her as she works and wonders just how good it will look. She'll also ask if it will glow at all and even if it would glow though clothing she's also at this point a bit more open with June likely due to all the booze than she normally would be to someone even talking about earth where she was the youngest smith in family of smiths going back to the warring state era. Once done Miho is going to want to find a way to get a look at her new magical ink...

    June eventually finishes the tattoo following it with a healing spell. Of course not before her free flow spoken thoughts Miho learns about growing up Japanese in Vegas, her obsession with JRR Tolkien but not just his fiction. She is a true fan of his actual work with linguistics and language progression and usage, it's relation to religion and history, and it's influence on languages around it.

Miho is enjoying the tats now and she'll take a moment as she listens to June's tale of how she grew up in Vegas. She will not interupt and just listen ans she lays there. She will after a time start to tell her own story of her family history of forging going back to the warring states, her own life in the American midwest for most of her formative years and that's why she's never fit in too well back in japan. She didn't say why she came back to Japan though. She also told of how she had been caring for her grand parents and harassed grandpa into training her and all she can think is forging just is in her blood.
