A Relaxing Day at the Lake.

The day is calm and right now near the lake the skies are still cloudy and the gray skies are getting just a tad bit darker. The winds pick up just a bit and it's getting cooler out. In a lush bit of grass Wynfei stirs and he stretches out in only a pair of swim shorts. He yawns a little bit, he slowly sits up as he looks out at the blue lake. "That was a good nap." he chuckles and says to himself.

The overworld is a board and expansive place. It's several hours of dedicated walking to get between Alne and the Town of Beginnings, so when someone comes from the southern part of the fields where there is only rocky beach to be found it is a curiosity. It's also not /entirely/ safe to be dozing out here by the lake, but the spawn rate of actually aggressive things is pretty low this close to Alne and curbed back further by the constant coming and goings of adventurers.

Nureha slips down her grey hood, walking with her simple black staff and a book that she quickly puts away as she makes her way over to Wynfei. "Hello again. Do you mind if I join you? That does look like a comfortable spot."

Hearing his name, "Hey Nureha." he smiles to the Fox Lady. He gestures to the spot near him. "Sure, please." he says to her. He knows this isn't the most ideal place, but it was too nice earlier and he wanted to swim. Wynfei knows he needs to get going, but not right now. "How're you doing Nureha?" he asks.

Nureha settles herself down in a pool of grey robe and skirts, looking out at the lake. "Reasonable enough. We're starting to cleanup our new accomodations. In a few days perhaps we will have cleaned it up enough to start moving our possessions there. And you.. how are you faring, Wynfei?"

She gives him a kind smile, taking out a small brush from her inventory and beginning to pull it through her long black hair.

Wynfei watches Nureha, he doesn't speak for a long moment, but he does nod his head. "I'm doing alright and I'm happy your new place is about done. I will have to bring you guys a fruit basket." he tells her.

"Me? I'm doing alright, just been doing my own thing honestly. Doing quests and clearing mobs, trying to relearn some things and just getting out meeting people as best I can." he says to her. "Nothing special."
Nureha

"A fruit basket" Nureha chuckles faintly, although from her expression she seems charmed by the prospect. "A much more thoughtful gift these days, I believe. At least you can eat it."

"So.." she says as she looks over the lake. "I have a question for you. If you could wave a magic wand or intone a long memorized sequence like an enchanter's command, where and whom would you go back to? Do you think people are out there, still waiting for us?"
Wynfei

He gives Nureha a smile, "Well, I'm also thinking of trying to cook and see if we can actually get some good tasting food outside of eating fruits and vegetables." he states.

Listening to the question, he lays back on his back and stares up into the gray skies. "If you were to ask me that question a year ago, I would've told you I have no one." he says to her honestly and his voice goes from that more cheerful tone she's used to hearing from Wynfei to a more sub dued tone. "I finally have a family out there, I'm adopted and so I would go to them. But I like here as well." eh smiles. "Granted, it took a lot for my adopted sister to get me out of my shell and abusive birth family. So.....yeah."

Nureha nods soberly. "I'm glad for that." she smiles sadly. "Whatever you do here, remember that they are out there, trying to get you home."

She falls quiet for a long time, looking over at the water. " I find that comforting, though not all share the same view. We know as little about the inside of this game as the outside. So.. I can understand their anxiety."
Wynfei

Looking at Nureha, "Do you have anyone waiting for you outside of this place?" he asks as he studies her. "And I know. For now we all have to stick together while we are here and make this place our home and do what we can in game to see if there is a way to help those who want to leave this game and return home." he states. "I can understand their anxiety, but at the same time they also have to understand that this is our reality as well now. It's why I haven't done a lot of duties. I've jsut been trying to meet people and get to know them."
Nureha

"I think we all have someone waiting for us." Nureha says with a smile. "But actually, I think getting food to taste like food again is the goal that everyone has been thinking about lately. Especially with so many refugees coming off the boats from Ezzo. I've been getting some crafters together to investigate. It shouldn't take TOO much longer to figure out, with us all sticking together"

Nureha smiles. "Yes. Although if this is our reality now, maybe you shouldn't fall asleep in the monster infested overland." she says with a hint of gentle teasing.

Wynfei grins a bit, "Yeah." is all he responds with. "Well if you point me in the right direction, I can try to help with the food as well. I may not be the best cook, but it's something I'm looking to do." he states. As Nureha tells him about sticking together and not sleeping in areas where monsters could kill him, the monkey cait sith laughs finally. "I guess your right, but if I wasn't sleeping here, I wouldn't have ran across you again." eh winks at Nureha.

"Well." Nureha says with a sultry smirk undercut only by the slight but definite eyeroll. "One cannot argue with facts." she gets up and brushes herself off. "If you have the cooking proficency, then you certainly can help us out. That is one of the few things we know. You have to have the skill itself or.." her hand drifts up to her eyebrow briefly. "Well. Accidents may happen."

A bemused grin shows on his face and as Nureha gets up, so does he. Wynfei walks over to a pile of clothes nearby and dresses and after a few moments, he's ready to go. His tail sways behind him and he stretches some, "So you headed back to your base?" he asks.
Nureha
Overworld - 3 - -1 - 0

"Yes. There is still a lot of work to be done before it's ready for people to move in. We may even have previous tenants to mind.."

She says this while walking towards the lake bridge connecting the overworld to Alne. The City with no NPC residents. So what she is talking about is anyone's guess. Other players? There was nobody but them during the investiagation.

It may not even be safe there. She seems determined to do it anyways.

Walking towards Nureha, he is able to catch up with her. A brow furrows as she states there may be previous tenents. Didn't someone mention possible ghosts? He shrugs, "Well if you want to scope things out, I will join ya." he tells her. "Let me know when everything is done and that fruit basket is yours." he chuckles as they begin thier walk back. He rolls his shoulders a little, "I have to turn these quests in so I guess it was a good time to head out."
Nureha

"I will certainly be looking forwards to it. Nureha starts to walk towards the bridge, the staff tapping through the grass with a muffled thump every few steps. "So. What quests were you finishing up for today?"
Wynfei
Overworld - 3 - -1 - 0

"Some boar quests." he answers simply. "There were a lot, so I just took as many as I could." walking across the bridge, he glances towards Nureha a moment or two, then back ahead, "Working on my skills, trying to see how effective I'm becoming and seeing where I need to improve."
Nureha

Nureha nods thoughtfully. "Seems like a reasonable plan. Although, I must confess this place does not always bend to logic. For example." she waves off into the overworld they have left behind as they make their way across the bridge. "Those boars. Some of them are as big as a trash can, others bigger than a pony. And yet the meat they drop would maybe make up the tip of their noses. It'v very peculiar, when so much else is so real."
Wynfei
Overworld - 3 - -1 - 0

"Yeah, I did notice that, which is why it took me most of my morning and into the afternoon to complete." A sigh escapes him, "When taking quest that we have to gather things, we have to watch what drops best with particular beasts. Though like you said, it doesn't always bend to logic." He turns and walks backwards still following Nureha, after a moment he turns around. "How are you getting along with all the changes?"
Nureha
Overworld - 3 - -1 - 0

"About as well as anyone, I suspect." Nureha says as they approach the looming walls of the City of Ash. "I had almost a year inside ETO to get used to it's quirks, so it's not as jarring as others might find it. I worry especially about the newbie guilds, like Crescent Moon. Some had only a few days, or even a few hours of Elder Tale before the Black Wave. So they know little to nothing save that."

"..It's a pity really. There are so many beautiful places in this world, many of which.. people never bothered to explore, because they were not useful for something."

She smiles wistfully. "..Maybe, once I have the guild established and safe again, I will go on a pilgrimage and visit those sites again."

"YOu were in the Beta or something?" he asks. "I started when the game came out, but I wasn't that high of level." he states. Rubbing the back of his head, a little, Wynfei looks ahead as they enter the City of Ash. "Maybe. Though I think everyone is trying to just find a place they fit in and work well with." he shrugs a little, it's what he's doing. "I agree, I've seen some nice places, but there is more to see and honestly I would to find out if we can fly again." he grins.
Nureha
Overworld - 3 - -1 - 0

"Beta. Mm. That was a long.. long time it seems." Nureha says, and like before, doesn't really seem to answer the question one way or another. "And that would be nice. There's very little like it, though I only hear that by rumor. I didn't have alts like other players might. I just.. didn't have the time." Nureha smiles sadly, walking down one of the empty streets. In the slight overcast, the city of Ash is once again eerie, though not quite to the extent that it was before. "The Hunter's Guild shouldn't be more than another two or three streets away. My path." she points with the staff. "Goes vaguely that direction. It's been nice to talk with you Wynfei. I hope you find some of what you are looking for. Everyone deserves to belong somewhere. "
Wynfei

Wynfei does notice that she doesn't answer his question, he lets it go though. Everyone is entitled to their personal stuff, when given directions to the Hunter's Guild, he gives a bow of his head. "Thank you Nureha." he says to her. "It's been nice getting to know you lately. Go ahead and add me to your friends list and if you need anything let me know." he says as he sends over a Friends Request. "I'm going to go turn these in." he says once he stops at her new place.
