Hunting for Spider Silk

Gwen was a woman on a mission, a personal mission she had supplies she needed to find for a work project. Well more and a port city was a far better choice for her to check out, in the end. Then say the starter city. So here the towering woman as ever was clad as normal in her armour and she was bending over.

She was looking over a merchant's stock of items as she went to pick out which things she intended to buy. She's also whistling the opening bars to some western sci fi movie as she looks things over.

"Oi, Shield Boss," says Jazz.

"Fancy meeting you here." She's nearby enough, at another stall, pokiong thorugh the various magical wands. They're all too expensive for her, really, and she already *has* one.

It's just that it looks like a feather duster. Curse you, Benji!

Gwen laughs

"Hey Jazz, just out shopping for materials I have a project I'm working on."

She looks Jazz over for a moment.

"I think that might interest you too."

If she knew of Benji she'd want to meet them this master prankster. She says "I'm trying to grade the quality of this silk for what I need."

"Yeah?" asks Jazz, slinking towards Gwen with a wary curiousity. The last time Gwen needed her help, she got tied up in tape measure for hours and threatened with clothes.

"So what is it?" she asks.

Gwen says "Spider Silk."

She notes sigging though the mateirl she's picking up needles and other things and pays the merchanc eof thsoe but she's going to start inspect some of the thread.

"With all the people going after the mines? There's no shortage of supply, but I'm trying to find some higher end silk for the project."

"And the project iiiiis?" asks Jazz, warily. There may be some distrust here! Just a little. "I mean, it doesn't come with a little high quality marker?" she asks, curiously, eyes focusing on the material she's holding and what not.

Gwen says "More modern style undergarmens like say a sports bra?" Gwen make a face. "I like to double check. With illusion skills out there you never know right?"

She's leaning over taking a look over it.

"A few more stacks like this one here should do it."

A pause.

"I... guess that'd be... good? Some modern clothes? More durable socks, too... Walking everywhere is hell on the feet, you know?" Jazz grimaces, glancing over her shoulder to the west. She is not looking forward to walking back from here later.

Gwen says "I wasn't thinking about socks but that's a good one to work on later." She notes she'll end up paying the merchant for their stock ad she turns to Jazz for a moment "You got any input yourself on this and i'm going to be the lab rat for this experiment."

"I mean, I can tailor okay as a result of being given 'maid profession', but that's all menu-driven stuff. I don't actually know a whole lot about it," admits Jazz, putting her hands together behind her back, "And I don't know the first thing about bras so I'm not gonna be of much help with figuring them out, sorry. I'm not... you know..." She waves her hands in the air.

Gwen waves a hand at Jaz "Don't worry about it and I won't dig deeper. Yeah I have a little out of game experiance with making clothes. Well designing them I had some plans that Pluto's Kiss crashed hard for me." She shrugs a bit. "I'm a Maid too you could call me a Battle Maid en."

"Shield Boss is better," remarks Jazz, giving her an amused look. "I mean, what's there to dig, anyway? But if I can help, sure, I'll help." She seems all right with that. "Especially if it can make some people more comfortable. Uncomfortable folks are more likely to go a little... crazy and lash out the wrong way."

Gwen says "It's the little things comfortable clothing, good beds, food. There was a time cooks were vital on sailing ships. A good cook could mean the diffence between a successful voyage or ... the crew turning on the captain."
