Work Time?!

Gwen is in her Inn room at the moment hard at work on her latest tailoring project. She's a woman on a mission sh e's acquired enough silk now and she's getting to work on making a few prototypes.Jaz had suggested good socks too and that would be what she tackles next. She's at a desk in the room working away whistling as she goes. "This will be awesome when I am done!"

Shiruba is at least polite enough to knock lightly before she nudges the room door open and sticks her head of partially unkempt hair in. "Gwen, you here?"

Gwen says "Come on in Shiruba!~ I'm working on some things here! You also could use a bath or something from how your hair looks and remember you got to care for your tail and ears now too." Gwen makes a face but it'ts an amused one.

"Well then next time you can send me somewhere that has indoor plumbing," Shiruba retorts, going along with the teasing because there's probably not any indoor plumbing anywhere right now. She trots over and drops a bundle wrapped in cheap travel canvas on the end of the desk. "-Despite- the lack of facilities, I got your stuff."

Gwen says "I will dump you in the water, grab you by the scruff ot the neck like a misbehaving puppy you now are." She has a needle in hand and is working on something with some of the spiker silk it looks like she's testing it before she goes to find some weaving gear she wants to make sure it's strong enough for what she's intending.

"Oh please set it down over here. I have apples if you want something that doesn't taste of despair."

Shiruba sighs, rolls her eyes, and moves the package to where requested. "You can't treat me like an animal just because I have ears and tail fluff," she retorts with a short *bdah* afterwards. She does grab an offered apple to munch on, even if she's the one the bland food untaste hasn't bothered too much. She takes a bite out of it, chewing while watching her friend work for a bit.

"So, what are you working on anyways?"

Gwen says "It's so fluffy though." She keeps working seemingly in all right spirits. She works away on the project finding this batch of thread will do for the first weaving attempt but that will have to be for later. She says "Nessitys for clothing, small clothes thinking on some good sock designs for later. I mean we're stuck walking everywhere right?"

Shiruba gives Gwen a half-lidded flat expression between apple bites. "Socks are good, but I doubt either of us fit anything 'small' anymore."

Gwen grins for a moment "Equip something via your menu and it will perfectly fit you. Even with tails and wings."

Shiruba extends a finger to point without setting down the half eaten apple. "Don't ruin the joke with practical menu operation."

Gwen bursts out laughing as she sets her work down for the moment. "So what adventures have you been up to, Shiruba?" She seems amused for a moment as she looks her friend over. "Heck of a lot to do here, don't you think?"

"There's still enough traffic between Alne and the Marina to need an escort on occasion." Shiruba pauses to chew another bite of apple down. Even if she's not being picky having an actual taste is hard to beat. "It's hardly exciting but it's a few extra coin." She shrugs. "And I don't want to venture to the mainland until more friends are ready to move on. It's likely not very safe for solo exploration anymore."

Gwen says "Yeah the landers have the route pretty well covered overall though, I'm honestly impressed. As for that? It is true. It is also good money with larger groups. We had bandits hit them before. Tell me about it, if we go charging off we'll get a nice ticket to a Church somewhere. Can't do stupid teleport tricks anymore, right?"

"They do." Shiruba bites the last bit of apple off the core, and tosses the rest in the trash. Turns out this inn actually collects refuse, if only so they have slop to feed those pig-dog things.

Now if they could actually make the bacon taste like bacon.

"But you and I have played enough RPGs to know how easily it is for an escort route to go terribly wrong. Only takes one person deciding to stray, or a pack of those gnolls showing up in a path they didn't before..."

Gwen says "Yes, yes I do. Frekaing escort quests at least the Landers are smater than the ones in Offline, right?" She gets up and walks over to her friend. "I wonder why we ended up in this? Was it blind luck? Did something suposeldy take pitty on us. I know what the old man said but..."

Shiruba shrugs, and sits on the end of the bed. Then remembers the beds are still low level and not very comfortable starter town beds and wiggles a bit to at least not be sitting on any sharp edges of wood. "I don't know Gwen... and just between you and me, I'm not really going to worry about it too much. There's enough people focused on that puzzle, or trying to find a way up that tower."

She holds out one arm as if to gesture at the lands beyond outside the room. "An entirely new world to explore is something not easily found these days, and I for one am going to take advantage of that once we do get off this starting area."

Gwen says "The work grind has been replaced with hte tower grind hasn't it?" She leans back in a chair as she sit down and look her frind over for a moment. "Unless you want to go diving there isn't much left to do on Earth now is there? It's all pretty much been found at this point."

Shiruba nods. "That or into space. And even that hasn't gotten much farther than it's already been before. That's exactly my point."

Gwen says "Yeah and if things go big underwater it likely won't get rolling till we're old... Well who knows if we'll age here." She laughs at that and then looks at Shiruba "And you get to be a wolf girl, don't you!"

"That does have it's perks." Shiruba rubbed the back of her head with a hand. Then switched to both hands to fuss with getting her ponytail back into some manner of reasonable order. "Really glag now I didn't pick something cliche like cat."

Gwen says "Like being a wolf girl? Least we didn't go werefang. I'd not want to deal with full body fur myself." She notes as she takes another apple to eat. "Or get really unlucky with the randomizer too? I'm honestly glad I didn't do a full body scan myself."

"You've seen what I really look like. Full body scanning would of been boring." That's all Shiruba has got to say about that.

Gwen says "Same here other than the hair not much remarkable about me." She notes and she's not about to say anything else on that. "So hows things working out with the Silver Sword for you? Pretty good I hope?"

Shiruba chuckles. "It never hurts having more support. Just wait until we can get out and really explore." She gives Gwen a playful nudge with her elbow. "So are you going to poke at needles and thread all night or do you want to do something more exciting?"

Gwen Says "We need to just keep getting our levels up to the point we can make head way as leveling is a lot more serious than it used to be. At least thats is how I see it now." She pauses "Hey my work is excited but what did you have in mind?"
