Meeting a Goldenblade

    Evening has come and the skies are surprisingly clear, there is cool air blowing through the area but it's not overly cold out. The sound of fighting can be heard and it's fleeting, almost as soon as it's heard. Breathing a little hard and looking at the bluish green particles sprinkle away as the creatures are defeated, Wynfei shrugs his shoulders, "This is getting better, I thought I had the hang of my body before, but doing things yourself and utilitzing the UI is easier." he says as he looks around for more targets but there are none.

Goldenblade hurries towards the sound of fighting, but it seems to be over by the time she's arrived. She's a little flushed from the run, but actually being able to run is a rush just by itself, so it's all cool with her. "Everything all right?" she calls, looking around the area. But when slain enemies vanish in a puff of SFX, you don't get bodies to litter a scene. "I thought I heard fighting?"

    Turning to look at the woman who is speaking to him, he smiles, "Nah, I took care of it." he says to her. "How're you doing this evening?" he asks as looks to her. "I'm Wynfei." he smiles. The Cait Sith Monkey studies her, "I think I've seen you around but never really interacted with you." He walks over to her and holds out a hand.

Goldenblade nods about Wynfei having taken care of it. "I see." She'll shake hands, and she says, "I'm ... Goldenblade." A bit of pause there, but so far she's chosen to skip using the full name she'd selected. It's a mouthful and pointless. "It's nice to meet you," she offers, looking up at the taller Cait Sith. "Are you questing out here or something?" she wonders.

    "Pretty cool name." he says to her. His tail swishes behind him. He yawns a little after shaking hands with Goldenblade. "Training." he says to her. "I've completed a few quests and turned them in already." he tells her. He walks over to a nearby tree and sits down, he gestures to Goldenblade to join him. "What brought you out here tonight?"

Goldenblade will sit on her heels next to the tree, and she says, "Oh, I just like to get out and walk. I'd almost forgotten how nice it is. Now that I can walk and run again, I do it every chance I get." She nods about training, and says, "I think I need more of that. I keep practicing, and I try to join in when adventures are going on. It's quite a thing, I think, what they have here."

    Quirking a brow up at her as she sits on her heels. "What do you mean walk and run again?" he asks. "Are you not able to in the real world?" he asks curiously as he's already met someone who had some issues in the real world. "Well if you ever need to train or spar, let me know I'm always down to help out if I can." he asys to her.

Goldenblade hahs, nods, "In the real world, I walk with a cane, and haven't run in years. Here, I can hop and jump as much as I like. It's very nice. Like a fountain of youth." She hrms and nods about training and sparring. "People are a lot more complicated to fight than monsters. I took part in the big monster fight at the last event a couple days ago," she explains, referring to the Floor Boss, though she doesn't know that term. "But people, players, they don't always do the same moves. They think."

    He nods his head, "Ah. I'm sorry." he says to her. "Well I'm glad here you're able to move like you want to." he says to her. Hearing her mention that she uses a cane, he didn't know if that meant she is elderly or young and just uses a cane. None of his business unless she told him more. As she speaks abou sparring, "Oh you mean the floor boss for the second floor?" he asks. "Players do think, but this place has changed, and I have a feeling the more we go up the harder things will become."

Goldenblade has told others she's seventy five in real life, so it's not a secret, and she says, "I remember running when my grandkids were little, but I couldn't keep up as they got older." She noda about moving how she wants to. "It's pretty good, yeah. It's much nicer than growing old, let me tell you." She chuckles, nods about the floor boss on the second floor, and ohs about the place having changed. "I've heard that, too. I did a mission with some guildmates who confirmed that a mission they'd been on before was now different. The monsters were acting strangely."

    He smiles as she tells him she used to run with her grandkids, he smiles and studies ehr for a long moment. "I don't have any blood family members." he says to her. "Well...." he pauses. "I have a dad but the bastard is rotting in prison, so there's that....." he says. He shakes his head, "I do have an adopted family, so I'm happy about that." a smale smile shows on his face a little. He goes quiet as she speaks about travelling and adventuring with her guildmates. "Which guild and alliance are you with Gold, if you don't mind my asking."

Goldenblade's face falls at hearing Wynfei's dad is in prison, but when there's an adopted family, she looks relieved. "That's good," she says. "Everyone needs someone. A guild's like a family here, I expect. With the bonus that you can select one you like." She hrms about the Guild, and looks puzzled for a moment. Then she checks her UI for a moment before replying, "Uh, Crescent Moon is the one, right? Or Olympus? I know what a guild is, but I can't keep all the levels and organization straight. I'm helping build the Guild House, but I can't always remember the name because it doesn't actually come up in conversation."

    He chuckles, "You're in the same guild and Alliance as me." he says to her. "Don't worry we can help you with that, and honestly." he says as he opens his UI and sends her a friend request and also points out his name in the Guild and Alliance list. "That's me." he says to her. "That's true, though I remember before thigns reset, people used to have guild colors and such, but no longer. But then again maybe that will be something that may come up." he says to her.

Goldenblade accepts the friend request with a bit of coaching, and ohs at that being you. "I see. I'm pretty olivious here, I think. It's information overload, I feel like I'm trying to drink from a firehose." She wonders, "Before they reset? Guild colors? See, there's so much I don't know anything about. I'm learninh bits and pieces, but it's all a tiny bit at a time."

    Wynfei laughs and turns to face Goldenblade. "Well we will work on that. Bit by bit until you know what you need to know." he says to her. "That cool?" he asks. "As for anything else, I think I'm finally ready to do more things now."

Goldenblade nods about learning bit by bit. "That's fine, yeah. Ready to do more?" she wonders, though. "Were you not doing things before? I guess I was the same way, I goy caught up with the refugees from that place, building shelters and such." Because she can actually build, not just menu-create.

    He nods his head, "I was doing a lot at first, but then got into my own head for a bit and now I can't keep sitting on my ass." he says simply. "I'm not going to let old fears and doubt hinder me like it did....." he pauses and shakes his head, "I can't."

Goldenblade nods thoughtfully. "Not letting fears and doubt get the better of you is a good plan. There's no real need to fear, here, even if you die, you come back. Though you should try not to die. When we fought the ... floor boss, you called him? Some of the people got hurt and pulled back out of the fight, and we finished him off. Everyone was concentrating hard on making sure no one died. It was very ... well, it seemed very supportive, I guess you'd say."

    He nods his head, "Yeah, no one wants to die, neither do I. Which is why I feel those who will be doign floor bosses and raids and such we need to work on tactics and everyone needs to kno w how to fully understand the skills and abilities they can use." he says as he looks at her. "Though I feel a lot of that will come with time but that's what I've been focusing on for me at least."

Goldenblade nods slowly about not wanting to die. "Yeah, no one wants to die," she agrees. "I need to get better, but I think I will, as I get more used to how things work here. It's not like real life where ... well, there were no giant minotaur things, for one. I was never in the army, so I never really knew how it felt to take risks like that. But ... well, dying here is bad, but it seems like most people don't die permanently. I've heard of people who've died and come back. I don't know anyone who hasn't. Not personally. Not that I know a lot of people." She shrugs. "But anyhow, yeah. Training, that'd be a good plan. I'll try to do more also."

    Wynfei listens not wanting to interrupt her, though there wasn't anything to interrupt her for. "Well if you want to train, let me know. Even though you can train with anyone, but all training helps." he tells her, "Also if you want to talk, let me know." he smiles. "What class are you?" he asks.

Goldenblade does ramble on sometimes. That's old folks for you. "Ah, yeah, training would be good," she agrees. "Talking's fine, too, of course. There's a couple nice places to eat I've found... well, one, but they say they're putting a place in on the first floor of our guild house they're making, and they'll be cooking actual food there also. So that'll be very nice. And convenient."

    "Well we will do that." he says to her. As she speaks to him about the guildhouse, "Yeah, Gwen got ahold of me and she brought me in to help." he chuckles. "I do have her to thank for me to get moving in a way, along with a few others." Wynfei yawns a little bit, "Well I eat a lot so if you offering to find a place to eat at, I will pay!" he tells her with a big smile.

Goldenblade smirks about finding a place to eat at, and she says, "The two places I know that do real food are the Guild House construction site, and a place you have to travel a ways to get to. So if you want something other then menu food, we can go back to the construction site?" She'll rise smoothly to her feet and look around. "Though ... it always takes me a while to get anyplace."

    Wynfei stands up from the ground and does a backbend and stretches out a bit. "We can head to the construction site, it may be closer, I need to remember where we at." he says to her. "So let's go get some food." he laughs. "My treat." he says to Gold.
