A DAy In The Park

BlackRose
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Just another day in a simple park area of Dun Loireag. It's rather peaceful and quiet, which is good too, since BlackRose and Miyako just finished some goblin slaying. After a bit of action, it's nice to have a little peace and quiet. The pink-white haired warrior wipes her forehead as she walks through the park. "Well, that was a good run I'd say."
Miyako

Miyako nods, sinking onto a convenient seat. "I think we did good. Might've been smarter to grab some backup before running off, but, well, we came back alive." She smiles lightly. "Loot wasn't too bad, either." Mostly cash and a few cheap mats, but for a couple of hours' work, not bad at all.

The spriggan stretches out, arms high above her head, and a little yawn escapes her lips. "Mmmm. Good day to relax, too. Especially in such fun company."
BlackRose

Taking a seat next to Miyako, BlackRose nods a little. "I agree, maybe we were in over our heads. Next time I'll try looking for more. But yeah, we made it back alive." She nods as she checks her menu briefly before looking back at Miyako. "Yeah, always nice to have a little extra money on hand, and the materials could maybe make some stuff I could sell for extra money."

Rolling her neck around a little, BlackRose looks to Miyako and smiles. "I should know what fun company is like with a musical character like you."

Miyako chuckles lightly. "And it's hard not to appreciate the view, when you're swinging that giant sword around." She leans a little closer to the imp and winks. "And yeah, I can always use the extra cash. And the XP. It's going to take -forever- to build my level back up to where it was in December."

Now BlackRose is the one to chuckle. "Well, it's not as hard as it might look," She says as she flexes her muscles playfully. "Well, with time and perseverance, I'm sure you can reach your old level soon. It's a long journey, but you have to be patient." She stretches her arms over her head before smiling at Miyako a little more. "Of course, together I think it'll be more fun."

Miyako hmmms softly as she watches Blackrose flex, and a little grin slips out. "Mmm, I know. It's just... so many things that would've been easy, are now a challenge." The grin fades, then, as she continues. "Reminds me of... oh, never mind. Outside is Outside, and better to just ... let it stay Outside."
BlackRose

"I know how that feels. You're so used to it being so simple that it's now next to impossible." She shrugs. "But if you ask me, sometimes a good challenge is nice. Still I can relate to how you feel." She nods again. "Yeah, just let it be, I suppose?"
Miyako

Miyako nods. "Going to be a long time before it matters, anyway." She shrugs and waves a hand. "So, how's the tower climb going? I heard they hit the second floor boss?"
BlackRose
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"I heard so too, but I wasn't able to make it." BlackRose sighs and puts her hands behind her head while looking up. "Don't ask what happened, please. It's a bit of a long story and I really don't want to talk about it."
Miyako

Miyako waves her hand again, dismissing the issue. "Don't worry. I grok not wanting to talk about it." It's not like she doesn't have things of her own that she'd rather not bring up. "They're making a decent pace, though... it's been.... what, right on two months?"
BlackRose
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"About two months, yeah," BlackRose replies as she nods to Miyako. "Pretty steady progress if I say so myself. We can't rush this, though, as I've got a feeling there's something waiting behind the scenes." She bites her lip for a moment. "Or maybe I'm just being paranoid? Who knows?"
Miyako

"I'd think that was obvious at this point," Miyako retorts. "It's just a question of who. Or what." She pats Blackrose on the shoulder and adds, "You're not paranoid if they really are out to get you."
BlackRose
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Honestly, I'm just not sure." She sighs a little. "But it's really not getting worked up over. I think it's better if we just take it one day at a time for now." She smiles at Miyako. "And enjoy each other's company."
Miyako

"It's always better with a good friend," Miyako agrees, nodding. "And at least we can get decent food again." She swipes a hand over the menu, sliding a small bag from her inventory and offering it to Blackrose. "Cookie?"

Looking at the bag, BlackRose smiles and accepts it. "Thank you very much," She says sincerely as she takes out the cookie and nibbles on it. "Very tasty. Where did you get this anyway?"
Miyako

"That," Miyako answers with a wink, "Is a secret. For now. I'm sure it'll all come out sooner or later." She shrugs and takes the bag back, then pulls out a cookie for herself. "Besides," she says, "Contraband cookies are more fun, yes?" She takes a bite and grins as she chews.

"Contraband?" BlackRose asks with a raised eyebrow. "Well, I won't tell if you won't tell." She says as she continues nibbling her cookie. "And I'm sure it'll come out too when the time is right." She leans back a little and looks up at the sky.

"Sure as heck makes up for weeks of bland mush," the Spriggan says. "I was half ready to just give up... and then I'm sitting there singing in the pub, and this kiddo imp comes in with /steamed potatoes/. Sure, not the greatest meal... but they had real /flavor/. Not just mush. First decent thing I'd had to eat in weeks."
BlackRose

"That's very interesting," BlackRose says as she stretches her arms again. "Well, I think I'm going to head off for a while. It was good adventuring with you today." She smiles at Miyako. "Hope to see you again!"
Miyako

Miyako nods and waves as she watches Blackrose rise. "Be well, and good luck climbing the tower." She waves cheerfully. "Catch you around, hey?"

Nodding to Miyako, BlackRose gives a smile and says, "You sure will! I promise that!"
