An Old Knight

Silver Knight is currently exploring Dun Loireag seeking out contacts and just to get a feel for this old city of Yamato.

Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight is an old player, he's also getting a bit of a reputation for being cryptic, he knows about something in relation to Elder Tale and it's predecessors as to what? No one has got anything too clear out of him about it.

For the moment he's been mediating between two lander Merchants who have been arguing for a while, and finally has reached a just solution for both parties. With that hammered out the glow from his helmet's crystal eyepieces have faded away.

With that settled he'll continue on his way heading for a weapon's merchant.
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame isn't an older player herself, but there's probably some reputations about the brightly dressed tank goofing off in a dungeon somewhere. She's wandering mostly herself mind, getting to know the area from a new perspective, which is a clever way of saying she's lost and always will be in twisting same-y corridors.

That's why she's rather thankful to see some landers and a player doing things. Wrapped up things by the look of it. Still, nothing for it, but to wave and call out, "Yo" simply enough. There's an excuse to hit up a weapon vendor too even.

Silver Knight would halt on his shipping trip to turn about for a moment. he'll looks to Hisame for a moment.

"Hello, here to check the weapon shop today?"

He'll look to the merchant for a moment and then start looking through the stock as he talks to Hisame.

"What brings you this way, it's been thankfully a mostly quiet day today." Well here not elsewhere.
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame gestures over to the weapon shop and says cheerily, "Well, figured I'd stop in, take a loo ksince I'm here. Now." She gestures back and adds in something of an undertone, "And I didn't know where I was before."

Brushing herself off, she slips past to get a better look at the wares. If he had partied with ehr before, he might have a guess it's to find a more practical weapon. Even if it's less thematically appropriate.
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "I'm looking for a few older swords I can use for throwing the odd time I need to." Does he enter like Tuxedo Mask at times? He sure does and while he tries to recover them sometime he just loses them.

"Also I'm keeping an eye out for new gear which may be of use to the Silver Sword. Allow me to introduce myself I am Silver Knight."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame hesitates before asking, "You did say throwing swords right?" She glances to the stand, then back to him. "Axes or daggers're easier aren't they?" She tilts her head while adding, "Mind you I also do the whole throwing potions at the enemy thing, so I guess odd throwing habits are a player thing right?"
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "Yes, I do on occasion not for combat, more as a warning ... shot to those who might be engaged in something nefarious."

He smirks a little bit for a moment.

"It is a good way to get people's attention. For actual throwing, if I had the skills I'd indeed use knives or other throwing weapons. One could say I'm a very odd player indeed."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame looks honestly confused at the idea of throwing a sword for a warning shot. "I mean I guess I get it." She finally says with a shrug.

"The fun way to get a player's attention is throwing noise makers out. Or just hitting them. Used to slap my friend's healer's -anyway. She had a sense of humor about it."

"Is it bad I want to try and use a falx?"
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "It's not pratical I shall admit that freely."

She looks to Hisame for a moment and nods a bit.

"That is a certainly a way to get someone's and attention. As for a Falx I'm afraid I have little experiance with such a weapon."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame shrugs and gestures over, "I use a scythe right now and it's incredibly inconvenient, but kind of fun. And... when it was just a game, it wasn't nearly so bad, yeah?" She hooks a thumb back, "I figure I should start over. Get good. Do something useful as a tank, yeah?"
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "It could be far wose, and if you can find a way to work with it. There may be Landers who can teach you how better to handle it if you search for such a person. However learning to make use of otherweapons is quite useful as well. I admit I'm only best suited as an off tank myself."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame tilts her head and smiles, "Why only off-tank? You don't need the whole sword and board thing-" she pauses, "Or do you mean you went more uh... what, bruiser-y? Kind of just a tanky DPS?" Pause, "I don't have a ton of damage really. I make a lot of bleeds though."
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "I more focus on direct combat than tanking, I have found i'm quite good at it." There's a faint smile. "There are those far more deadicated to that art, I find my skill is in suporting them." He notes and he thinks for a moment.

"That can be useful against many type sof enemies. It can add up quite a lot over time."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame holds an arm up, flexing in a clearly joking manner, "Some are just built for tanking. And you know, giving landers nightmares as everything dies in poison." She drops her hand, shrugs again and resumes the cheery smile, "I uh, also have other fun tricks and all I guess. I do try to help."
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight thinks for a moment "I see. I'm Knight first and formost, myself also I'm seeking answers to some of the mysteries of The world. There is much to learn about our new home, here in Yamato. Also there may be such thing as a soultion ot the issues of the major alliances goals of which we are currently blind to."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame rolls her shoulders and leans back, occasionally taking time to murmur, "I should learn nunchaku, they'd be fun. I'd hurt myself I bet though.." though she does appear to be listening as she responds, "I've been looking at those same mysteries. We're looking at... some interesting tracks later. Or I want to at least. I was always one for breaking the game to get to neat places. Jumping and all, you know?"

"I think there might be a solution, but getting players to cooperate en masse is like herding cats. Or getting drafts in on time to an editor."
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "I have a intrest in restoring the Chaos Gates, there is a place I need to go that only can be reached by them. It dpends on what you are looking to get them to do. Better to get them to wish to work together than to do it by force."

"You have my intrest, I admit. Though I doubt some of the mysteries I seek more than a handful of people are aware of. There are old things in this world...very old things."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame stretches her arms back, then forward, swinging back and forth a few times after. "I don't know as much about fixing the chaos gates, but we do... have rumors of areas people shouldn't be that I'd like to poke around. Especially after hearing rumors that we wouldn't like what's at the top of the towers" She emphasizes that with a finger pointing up.

"I don't know anything about the old... things? I was busy working on my career at the time and burning myself out into a bitter young shut in pretending to work on her life goal, you know?" she's clearly joking, by her tone.
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight lkooks to Hisame.

"I know of such areas and have been to a few in the past."

He looks to Hisame for a moment curious about the sorts of areas Hisame might be aware of.

"What sort of rumours have you heard about the tower if I might be so bold as to ask. Yes the past may have come back to haunt us all."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame twirls that finger and says, "Just what I've said other than a broken chaos gate on the... third floor? I think. I tuned out briefly to be honest." She pauses, "Well, more that my memory is full of holes. It's why my apartment's full of notes."

"How about yourself? Got any good rumors or player areas?'
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight seems lost in thought for a moment.

"A chaost gate? Interesting, I was with Sliver Sword when we were pushing the tower originally." It's clear he knows things but he's also thinking on what to share. "One but it's no longer accessable so long as the chaos gate network is down. A strange Church which appeared in Fragment."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame listens quietly for a bit. "A strange church huh? Wonder if anything's still there then. If it's from Fragment that is." Tapping her foot lightly on the ground, she leans forward and dislodges from her lazy stance. "If you hear anything, let me know. It's in the name of cooperation right?"
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "Yes, I will take you there if the Gate Network ever comes up it's only fair. Though beware of the tower. The tenth floor boss was bugged to the point that one of our members' PowerPoint presentations about it was a thing of legend on the BBS."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame snrks, "I've heard about the bugs from more than one person. I'll be honest though, I stayed off of the boards outside of posting art. Too many threads whining about minor inconsequential things and misery. I've got enough stress, it's more fun to hang out in game."
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "Not that such things matter we are who we are now and this is the World we are in at least for the moment. I can understand that mind set. I have seen your guild tag and wonder, what on Earth calls you back to it?"
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame grins and says, "Because I want to get back to work and I don't like the rigid beliefs of other groups. We do what has to be done right?" She twirls her finger as she says, "Why not is probably the easier answer. Suggesting I belong somewhere else?"
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "No I was curious to know your reasons. If I do not understand the wants of others? It ia hard to be fairer in dealing with them I have found. It has also cost me dearly in the past. I once thought I was doing what must be done, long ago."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame shakes her head, "You won't always understand other people. I figure it'd be better to just get to know people and not worry so much. Can't please everyone all of the time you know?'
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "That is true, but sometimes tou can better understand someone. That is indeed true but as you said sometimes you can. I have my reaons for wanting to remain here. I wish to find the trusth of something and I can not do it on the world from which we came from."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame shakes her head and says, "There are some things to find here, I'm sure. Like why we're here. Here in game, not the existential thing." She sighs, then gestures towards the surrounding area, "I'd rather not lie in... this place. I had other goals."
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight says "So you say." He's not saying somehing but as to what who knows? "I see and while I had goals in Japan mine here have had ... priorty for some time. Still it will take some time for an exit to be found."
Hisame
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Hisame looks over as she starts to sort through the heavier weapons on display, taking a moment to weigh them in her hands. "It'll take some time, absolutely. But, that doesn't mean I can't keep looking forward. Just accepting your lot in life stagnates you. Monotony's the mindkiller, that sort of thing." She shrugs. "In short, don't just settle in."
Silver Knight
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Silver Knight will pauses for a moment and send Hisame a friend invite before he notes. "An interesting way to look at it, I'm afraid I must meet up with some of my guildmates shortly so I must go." He'll pay the Lander merchant for some old blades before he heads out.
