Summer Plotting

Shiruba trots into the shop with her usual casual lack of anything too dramatic to announce her presence. Or that may be because her mouth is full finishing off the Crescent Burger meal she got to go before heading up to Alne. Either was a good way to see her friend without drawing Morrigan's attention too soon and being bombarded with the cascade of substitute motherly questions. Now the question is if Gwen is in the shop or back in her work space, and hopefully not under any more obsessive projects again.

Gwen is busy humming happily and one might be able to hear it. Uther's manning the counter at the moment as he looks over Shiruba.

"Shiruba, welcome Gwen's in the back."

He notes with a smiek if Shiruba heads ot the back she'll find Gwen working on outfit and it looks like she's making a large number of swim suits...

"Wow. Not often I see you on counter duty. That's gotta be dull for a man of action." Shiruba makes his night a little better by leaving the remainder of the french fries for him before wandering over to the back work space. Takes one look around and just leans against the wall as she crosses her arms. "Yeah, that's what I suspected you'd be working on by this point."

Uther "THe Ms can often scare off customers she's in a mood...given it's summer." He smirks a this and leave Shiruba on her way.

Gwen meanwhile looks at her friend and lights up like it's Chrsitmas morning. There is no goof to come from that. "You know me too well and there will be a demand for this I think at this point, I'm working on main templates at the moment. Don't worry I ahve something for you o/~"

"Probably right about that, people didn't plan of spending their summer in an entirely new world." Then Shiruba gives her friend/adotive older sister her usual flat look that is the response to such things. "You know darn well putting those two phrases together like that is going to do the exact opposite of me not worrying."

Gwen smiles even larger "Oh please I'm not my mother. You haven't seen what she's wanting me to /wear/." She makes a face at this and doesn't say more. "So I recall you loved the pulled pork we had last summer mmm?" She grins a bit at this and may have conspired with Uther...on this?

"You should send her off on like a long distance fetch quest for some rare elusive crafting material. Not a -hard- quest, just one that... y'know. Keeps her busy. Uther says she scares the customers sometimes too." The wolfgirl shrugs. She tries to not respond too much when the mention of food is brought up, but it's impossible to not notice the quirking of a brow and the perking of an ear. "Can you even make that here? I recall that sauce required quite a few specific ingredients."

Gwen says "I might just do that but she would succed and get an idea for some crazy outfit that would make even me blush." She notes for a moment. "I'm going to try and if it works ... well guess whose on the top of the list to get some. People who model things for me."

Shiruba refolds her arms with a soft whuff of annoyance, but that's mostly at herself. "I hate that is such an obvious bribe... and I hate more that it's going to work -if- you can succeed at it." Pause. "... Have you seen Pela's new book? That might help with finding whatever equivilent herbs and spices this world might have to use."

If she's going to get stuck doing it she might as well help try and make it successful, right? She still gets good food out of the deal, annoying or not.

Gwen says "It always does." Grin grins "Come on you can have funw ith new outfits in our new home you know you should stop being so uptight your free of anyone else's control no?" She sthinks for a moment "Not yet but I will have to pick up several copies. One for myself and several for the guild."

Shiruba sighs softly. "Just because I have a body like this now doesn't mean I want to start parading around with it hanging half out of what I'm wearing," she replies with a vage crinkling of her nose at the thought. "That's... just not 'me', regardless of how things are different here."

It takes a moment but then she smirks a little, before going back to acting like it's not such a big deal, twirling a hand aside lazily. "You made a winter coat, that was practical. You made me a dress that was fancy without being too flamboyant. You even made those desert outfits that were practical at keeping cool and not over the top like the versions you'd see in movies!" The wolfgirl resumes leaning casually against the wall. "If anyone can make a summer outfit that suits -me- without trying to make me look like something else, Gwen, it's you."

A short pause. "... But I still want the food 'payment'." You're not getting out of that part with a Cait Sith's shrewd mercantilism in the room.

Gwen says "A swimsuit it prtical on the beacha nd if you need to go diving you have something to swap into no?" She smirks "Like that underwater boss fight I can make one with ... stats too if you like." she pauses for a moment and then looks at the wolfgirl for a moment. "You enjoyed it didn't you. Oh don't worry I'll be wearing the more experimental ones."

"I am built like an Amazon now. You'll get your 30 silver don't worry my friend."

Shiruba unfolds one arm to jab a fingertip towards Gwen teasingly. "I am neither confirming or denying that because it will give you more ideas than you already have."

Gwen Says "That's already giving me ideas." She grins more "Ones I may ask Morri for help with..."

"What did I just say about not wanting half my assets on bare display?" Shiruba yelps back. Though it's more the mention of Morri's 'help' that makes her shudder to the point that her tail actually puffs up a bit in 'threat detected!' manner.

Gwen says "She doesn't alwys do that..."

At that moment speak of the devil and she shall appear. "Oh don't worry, I have PLANS for both of you darlings~" With that Morri is just /gone.

Shiruba points after the disappearing woman. "-That- is why your father says she scares the customers sometimes." She gives her tail a kick with her heel to swat it behind herself so it's frizzled out nature isn't so obvious. "Also dear goddesses, I didn't even hear her walk up. Annoying how some players can do that."

Gwen says "I have a bad feeling about that and yes she does it's worse if I say no. I'd rather not her open her own shop..." She notes for a moment and then tilt herhead "We shouldn't worry Mom blows a lot of smoke to just mess with us, right?"

"Right, right. Better she do it here where you and Uther can keep an eye on her." Right? Shiruba does finally get up from reclining on the wall and stroll over to inspect the designs on the table. "So just what kind of swinsuits are you working on, anyways?"

Gwen says "Bikinis, monokinis, one pieces, and all sorts of others, why?" She grins. "I could go farther but I'll behave unlike someone."

Shiruba scoots herself up to sit on the edge of the table, carefully as to not dislodge any of Gwen's utensils as her tail drapes off over the side next to her. Looks at the design images, but the names really don't mean all that much to her descriptively. "Okay then. Full honestly Gwen. Without trying to fancifully dress me up, or down in this case, just because you can... what kind of swimsuit -would- you see me in?"

Gwen looks to Shiruba for a moment. "Honestly a nice but fairly starndard bikini given your figure also your tail." She makes a note of that anfd seems pretty serious about it. "What there's a level of wild i'd not evne do myself."
