Duty Session 193: Goblins in Mac Anu

    Not known often for planning well, June does at least know how things work and doesn't usually tear offon suicide missions... though perhaps with enough provocation or enticement. So instead she picked the first quest her chit would allow and started spamming any random adventurer who looked bored, unoccupied, or actively looking for quests with party invites.

    The lizard man Rizadoman is always on the look out for goblin requests to help pass information on someone who may or may not be very good at slaying goblins. So when the barbarian lady begins to spam attention about the goblin hunting question he couldn't do anything but volunteer, " I shall go with you to clear out the sewers. " He smiles and his tail wags a little with an excitement, could the lizardman(werefang) be part puppy.

Goldenblade is one of the players who shows up when help with the quest is requested. She arrives, down in the sewers, and offers a wave of greeting. "Hey there," she calls. "I'm Goldenblade," she introduces herself to June and the lizardman who seems to be named Lizardman? She looks around, sighs at the environment, and wonders, "I hope we don't wind up in the yuck here. I've got swimwear," thanks to Gwen, "but this place does not look condusive to swimwear."

    June laughs "Hey guys, glad to have you. Gona kick some Goblin ass... was stuck in Ezzo and .... well yah it's like cripled my bounce back from the damn Black Wave yah?" she sighs. "I'm June, Junko.... Arima Junko..." the language coming out of her mouth switches, one in the know might recognize it as one of the Tolkien elvish languages. In an obvious aside to herself she says "You're over sharing stop over sharing... just do the job. She's pretty though, and the lizard looks like he could use a petting. No June goblins.. killing goblins, getting your rank back getting good gear." she breaths slow, in a count of five, out, in a count of five, out. "Okay then." she says in Japanese again. "Shall we?"

    You would think that Rizadoman may find this concerning to see June talking to herself, however with the crowd he usually runs with it really is a fresh change of pace. At least there were no arguments about who was better or fights being had or... its peaceful. " Pleasure to meet you June. Yes let us, as my friend would say, slay goblins." He would gesture toward to the door, "Your party, you get to lead so lead on to the sewers."

Goldenblade nods to June about kicking goblin ass, and she bows her head at the introduction. Tolkien elvishness draws a shrug from her, that's not anywhere in her knowledge base. Now if it was elvish bricklaying, maybe she might know. But at the invitation to move out, she nods, "Let's do this."

    June leads the way, she seems to be quite confident in leading the way. And out of the darkness a bullet rips...wait no crossbow bolt... and it's nicked her cheek. "Ooh that is NOT cool." she says the frumpy libraian in cosplay is quite suddenly an iron scaled 'minotaur'... probably more apropreately called a Taurian or anthro cow... if it weren't for the blazing red eyes and a sickly green mist that seems to seep from her muzzle with each ragged breath. She doesn't draw a weapon, her fists closing and her hoofed foot digging into the stones in what looks to be a charge on the verge of exploding.

Goldenblade follows June through the sewers, looking around carefully, a sword held over her head, wreathed in flame to light the way. It also makes her a target, it seems, and she winces as she catches a bolt, herself, to the shoulder, and she drops the flaming sword, which is extinguished when it hits the water, though it still glows faintly gold, and that helps her to fish it out. When it's out of the water, it bursts into flame again, and Goldenblade rushes the attackers, though her skill at evading, and her speed, are not as much as she'd hoped. She takes several more cuts as she helps to fight off the foot soldiers.

    The expression from June gives Rizadoman a moment heads up as he leaps to the side, turning back to June he is about to ask about her well being, but she is suddenly a minotaur. " Are you by the floor boss of floor six?" it's the first thing that comes out of his mouth before he realizes what he said, " Just as because it's a maze up there." Rizadoman is going to shut up no as he turns to the goblins and runs towards them planning to rip them shreds, bare clawed.

    Snorts, and the sound is... amused, then she's charging, but it isn't just a wild rush, it's a Hiesman trophy winner going down field, it's a Stanley cup winner barreling down the ice. It is power, speed, and grace... and what must be a half ton of angry. The little spitfire slams into the goblins. Her horns lowered she impails one, and then it's a Jacky chan movie staring an angry metal bull. By the time the three of them are done there is little to indicate that there were goblins. Then June nods her head at a tunnel. "We go on." she snorts, the green puff of mist is probably not healthy to get involved with.

    The metalic bull..cow...girl... leading the way looking significantly grumpier than the 'barbarian princess' did. At seeing the Hob-goblin that seems to have set itself on fire she shakes her head. "Shut it up." she grumbles even as she steps into a martial arts stance.

Goldenblade sighs as she gets past the ambushers with only a light mangling, and she follows June on, undaunted. June is very impressive. Goldenblade blinks at the sight of the flaming goblin, and laughs, asking it wryly, "Don't you know not to play with matches?" But it's attacking now, and what can she do? She stomps the ground, and the earth under it trembles, forcing it to stumble in its advance, leaving it open to a savage hackfest courtesy of her two deadly blades. That'll shut it up!

    The lizard man tilts his head at the flaming hob-goblin and then the screaming. The screaming was painful. "Yes let us please shut it up." As it appears Goldenblade has incapacitation handled and judging from mino-june's stance, she has beating the thing to a pulp handled. Rizadoman decides to solve the fire problem as he gathers toogether, fortunately they are in a sewer. THen sends it as a powerful spray in the hob-goblins direction. Rizadoman used Water Gun.

June moves through a stance and then she's in a flowing kata that ends with a punch, that sends a spear of water that manages to lance through the goblin. "Good work... hopefuly he didn't let every goblin down here know we were coming."

    She hands Golden the map after a while "Can't read the stupid thing..." she says switching to Elvish and talking to herself. "Not like you asked.. hey why do I need a map if it's just goblins ina sewer... stupid Junie Stupid..." she shakes her head and goes shoulder to shoulder with Riz "Keep 'em off her while she reads the stupid thing." she says again in Japanese.

Goldenblade will help with the navigation, she always had to read the map while driving on family vacations, back before GPS devices all over the place. The kids now probably don't even remember the days of having the map open on the steering wheel and trying to navigate and steer through Tokyo traffic at the same time. This is like that, but with goblins attacking instead of semi trucks.

    Rizadoman looks over at June, "I will do my best." He tries to stay ever vigilant and keep the monsters back but at the last moment he sees one of the beasties coming to attack GoldenBlade and turns to protect her with his body and winces and roars in pain. "We can not stay here long. Make a decision and let us move." He should have prepared better with the shield.

    June would normally dance through a fight, bobbing and weaving she's covered in iron scales.. but she's actually a Shadow Fist... soo her class is garbage for protecting others really. She just relies on her brute natural protection and as her HP flakes down and she spots Riz doing the same she simply shoves Golden into a tunnel and bends a gate lock closed. "Bought us time, find a way." she says to Golden.

    Folowing the other woman's direction the party reaches a stretch of water that is likely some kind of settling pond. The real problem... Goblins... in a boat... with flaming arrows... yah this needs taking care of.

Goldenblade pants as her headlong rush finally gets us away from the ambush, and she has no idea if we went to the right place, or just where we are. She then blinks as our path brings us to goblins on a boat. It's even more dangerous than snakes on a plane! But she has the solution of course, it's one of her best moves. She charges. But it's not just a normal charge. It's an evasive charge, rushing in, dashing left, cutting right, then straight in to deliver a hacking cut. The upshot of this, though, is that each time she corners, a burst of flame erupts, spoiling the goblins' aim, and when she's close enough, burning them quite badly.

    Rizadoman runs in the direction GoldenBlade had led them to and slides to a stop when reaching the water edge, " I did not know the Goblin's possessed such boating technology." He sseems shocked at the boat over everything else but thent he arrows begin to rain down on them as tries to launch a bolt of fire in return, hoping to ignite the boat. Sadly the waves of the water splash up and remove the risk of fire from the equation. "Curses," is all he says as his tail pounds the ground in frustration.

    June watches as Golden starts her flaming zig zag. "Now that's a handy skill." she says with a chuckle. "And they probably stole it." She starts making hand gestures moving into the start of what would likely be called a kata, odd to see a metalic minotaur doing. A deep golden light building around her fist. Then she steps forward with a loud metalic stomp and a heavy punch at the air. "Empyrial Arrow." she shouts, the golden light snaps into focus in the shape of an arrow that blows a hole in the hull and out the other side. The boat starts sinking immediately, flaming goblins and rigging hissing when they end up in the water.

    "There we go... lets see if we can't find this camp that is suppose to be down here." she says stomping off into the only available tunnel. Further along past the goblin navy... June wonders if the boss of that crew was named McHale... then imagins the funny hat and snorts to herself. Further down they come across a Shaman and the goblin camp... and June is amused and frustrated enough to be ready to take it out on the goblins.

Goldenblade didn't stop at the water's edge, and how sharp turns running through the shallow lake kicked up fire is a question best asked to the game designers. Goldenblade does not ask why. She would likely not understand any answer she got. She recalls McHale's Navy, though, it's been some time. Good ol' Ernest Borgnine.

She does understand a camp full of goblins, though, and she grimaces. "This is going to be tough." Killing them all without gratuitous use of fire is even tougher. But she goes for it, rushing in with fast, evasive moves, dodging their counterattacks before they even swing, cutting, slashing, stabbing, always a step ahead of where they attack.

    Rizadoman spies the camp and does something unorthodox a she fishes a fang from one of his belt pouches, "O Horns and claws of our father, Iguanodon, thy four limbs become two legs to walk upon the earth!" Two lizard man like skeletons assemble themselves infront of Rizadoman. Looking over his creations he issues them a command, "Protect them with your non life." The two skeletons would spread out taking attacks for GoldenBlade or June where needed.

    June starts off hanging back, casting heals as needed, but it really only takes a moment, just a flash of something off to one side, and she spots a few goblins doing something that for whatever reason is just unacceptable. She charges in, ripping through a ramshackle tent and starts laying waste to goblins, snorting her toxic breath, whipping her head around. Lost in a rage that does a fair ammount of damage to the camp.. but hey at least it isn't fire right? Easier to put things together when she doesn't burn it down just crushes, tears or knocks it over. When the goblins are all done she snorts scuffing her hoof and then looks around at the destruction... "Did I do that?" she asks in a somewhat nasal tone... in English. Then she's shifted back to her human form and talking to herself in Elvish. "What are the odds they watched American TV huh? Like they're gona get the joke.. what are you stupid?" she says before shaking it off. "Lets find out where they came from huh?" she asks and starts looking for stuff.

Goldenblade blinks at June, puzzled as she switches languages, and scratches her head. But she nods slowly about finding out, mumbling, "Uh.... yeah, let's do that." It's what we're here for, right? She hrms at finding a piece of a map. "What's this, then?" and she squints at it. But it's just a part of the whole.

    As the battle ends and the lizard man dismisses the summon and looks over the battleground that was a simple camp site just a moment ago. Hearing the joke from June he gives a toothy grin, " That is from The Urkle right?" It appears that at some point this once human, now lizard person had indeed seen some form of Steve Urkle. He then spreads out to scavenge for any clue on why the goblins were here.

    June nods her head and laughs "Yah... sorry ... I sort of get.. uhm... carried away sometimes." she looks at the trampled camp. "A little?" she holds her fingers just a centemeter apart or so.

Goldenblade shrugs to June. "All's well that ends well," she says. "But let's get out of here, I think we've done enough for tonight." She yawns. "I think I'm off to sleep. I'm off schedule," she explains.

    Rizadoman looks at June and grins in a way that only a lizardman could, fangs and all. " Fret not, we all lose ourselves to our nature every now and then. " Looking at GoldenBlade he nods his head, " I think you are right..." He trails off as he spts on the ground a destroyed map but manages to find a few pieces still legible and gathers them up. If nothing else a sign of their victory , he would distribute them when they got out. "Yes I think e should get out of here."
