Gone Fishing

"See? Told you it wasn't far." Literally, as it was just a short hike from Shibuya before Shiruba was standing at the shore of the small lake. "I imagine this is why they originally tried to build a town here." She holds a hand out towards the waters. "Non-salt water. Not easy to find this close to the coastline. The lake is probably spring fed or something like that."

Miho is happy to be out of the town she really needs to consider moving her forge there at this rate, as the majority of the alliance seems to be moving operations there. She'll have to think about it at worst she can kick down the door of Giga's place if it comes to it. She walks along tail swaying as she goes.

"Likely so. I wonder if they have any Lage Mouth Bass or Rainbow Trout here. Went fishing with my family once on a trip up to Mount Fuji just after I returned to Japan. They were rather shocked I wanted to come along but they'd not seen me in nearly a decade soo they didn't fight it too hard."

Her tail wishes a bit as she goes to sit down and start setting up by the water.

"I wasn't expecting a request for fishing spots, but hey, I'd be a poor explorer if I couldn't help find something," Shiruba replies cheerfully. "Besides, with all the work you've done lately, and I don't just mean my project, you deserve a break." Her tail wags a few times before swishing off to the side so she can sit down. "At least this isn't a fishing minigame. Those are never well constructed."

Miho says "So what maybe we catch something maybe we don't given how gamey things are for when it comes to doing things." Like how Miho could cook but can't here anymore. She doesn't care too much, right? She'll worrya bout it alter for now it's just time to unwind and relax a bit. "Don't get me started on those things but I'll be honest. I think less and less about where we came from. The longer we are here..."

"If nothing else we take the fish to the IR and get Hifumi to cook a meal for us." Shiruba folds her hands behind her head as she lays back. "Yeah. Some of us don't really have anything to bother going back for, anyways." She pauses a moment. "I'd rather get my brother to come -here- and enjoy the new world. Even with the problems, the potential far outweighs them."

Miho says "Hah, I kinda wish I could drag my own family here. We'd be damn well more respected. Not to say we're not but just for kitchen knives, when we could do so much more." She'll cast her line in and thinks for a moment on that. "Such wishes might as well be fishes. Opening the way back could get us all dragged back. I know some people here who'd be worse off for it. If there was some way to get Scale home without screwing us all over? I'd be helping them with a bell on."

"Same." Nor has she tried to stop the people who decide to help with the Tower. "We don't even know if the top of the tower -is- the answer... and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it just lead to another chase afterwards. Answers tend to uncover more questions around here..." Shiruba sighs a little. "And, as much as it may worry people, as much as the Waves of Calamity are a pain in the tail... it's not worth possibly sparking a war between the Guilds trying to stop them until we know more about what is or isn't true."

Miho says "Could be a trap, or a distraction to keep them busy. Or hell it's what forces the old man spoke of wants them to do to. They could be getting played, and what if Earth has been the dream all along?" She shrugs as she casts again. "We need to figure out how to get the world of those behind the wave are from. Also kinda of hard when we don't stay dead. We'd ahve to do something like admin lock out the tower, or something. We can't blow it up, as there's landers living in it."

"Not to mention other players," Shiruba notes. "Not everyone that's taken up residence in there is a Scale member. A lot of them are people that had Ezzo as their kingdom and now have nowhere else to go."

Miho says "That's true, it was a heck of a mess wasn't it? Kinda glad I missed it to be perfectly honest." She note and pauses. "Hey I think I got a nibble..."

"I only saw it on the evacuation missions, and that was more than enough to make me glad I wasn't there for the big upheava--" Shiruba stops, using her arms to prop herself back up to a sitting position. "I'm not even sure how you can tell," she murmurs, lowering her voice so she doesn't scare anything is off.

Miho starts trying to reel it in, but things get strange the fish? Is pulling hard, so hard Miho is trying to dig he feet into the ground but it's fighting back that hard..."I don't think this is normal!"

In a flash of movement Shiruba is on her feet and bounding over to grab the shorter Salamander around the waist. "What could be in a lake this minor that is that strong?!" She digs her own feet in, careful to not step on either of their tails.

Miho says "I have no idea come on pull!" So far with both women pulling on the line. It's pulling hard enough it's going to pull Miho into the water and she's not letting go. "What did I hook a world boss?!"

Shiruba grits her teeth, arms bound around Miho's midsections. "Or the world itself!" Which isn't really a reassuring thought either. "Just keep pulling!"

Miho pulls with all her might but it does not go so well she'll skip out of Shiruba's grasp and she goes flying into the river, she's going to need to be fished out herself and when she finally burst through the surface she's swearing Vengance upon whatever creature did this to her!

Shiruba falls back on her butt with a yelp as Miho is jerked out of her grasp. Goes into the water. A few moments comes back up to the surface. Shiruba holds her hands up to help her voice carry. "DID YOU SEE WHAT IT WAS?!"

Miho says "IT WAS SOMETHING BIG I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT I WILL GET IT SOMEDAY!" She's breahing fire for a bit as she swims to shore...
