WhiteRabbit... or March Hare?/In which Wisteria has gone fae with her research into crystal enchantment.

Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria has been acting a bit odd since an incident a day or two ago when she ran from her rooms to the gatehouse and started setting up what seems to be a mad scientist's lab mixed with an otaku's computer building station. Chemicals boil and burble, powders sit in bags and crystals of various colors and sizes are stacked precariously. The tall albino werefang has packed all of her gear into her inventory it seems and is in something of a manic mood flitting from station to station and even dangling out of the arrow slits to work on projects she has on little slabs exposed to various environmental factors.
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Bare feet crunch lightly against the slope as Vertina makes her way down from the direction of the tower. The Salamander martial artist has a pair of wooden kegs that she's carrying on her shoulders, though people seeing her in passing probably wonder why she doesn't just leave them in her inventory. Because that wouldn't be a proper workout, that's why. Not that it distracts her from the conglomeration of contraptry that comes into view as she reachs the foot of the slope. "... Someone is getting busy."
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider is loitering around the Scale HQ, leaning against a wall, attempting to look cool. With only intermottent success. He watches Wist cobbling together her alchemical ... whateveritis ... with interest. He knows zilch about alchemy, himself, so it's all mysterious to him. After a few minutes, he calls out to her, "Need a hand?" He looks over the setup, which is baffling, and wonders, "What are you even doing?"
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria looks up "Uhmm what? Wh...oh HI V!" she says happily and not seeming bashful about showing so much skin in public, treating the gatehouse like she normally would a dojo. She turns to Schneider "Oh well yah.. how much MP do you have? Do you have dark affinity? Or better do you have Light affinity? I totally lack it and I need to test if this rate of MP decay is the same for all affinities or if one has better retention... Ooh and if I could get you to catalyze a few light crystals so I can test other elments in them and then if you could charge one of each elemental crystal with light MP would be great." she says starting to get things out of bags and starting a few new bottles boiling. Without ever actually learning if light mana was on offer or if Schneider even knows HOW to catalyze an elemental crystal in an alchemy station.
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

"Whoa, whoa Wist. You sound like a runaway lecture presentation." Vertina steps off to the side to set down her kegs, then turns back to the endeavorous bun. "Now what was that about Light affinity and elemental crystal attunements? And if you need Light why didn't you call me in the first place, you silly bunny."
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider boggles as Wist replies at length. "I .... uh ..." He tries to keep up with Wisteria's dialogue. "MP? A decent amount," he begins. "And Light ... and Dark ..." And ... "What's catalyzing?" And ... he watches things coming out of bags, and things boiling and, "Wait, what's going on?" He's pracically spinning around trying to keep up with Wist on a mission. He looks to Vertina, asking, "Do you know her? Or what's going on?"
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria stops and blinks "Ooh, well you remember when we went to check out the stolen mirror? The one the ancient heros had locked away and sealed in concrete? Well while we were there I was talking to the lady that was letting us into the vault and see they use to use crystals to setup long term trigerable enchantments that don't require the spell be laid into an item. Normally when you get an enchantment done the reason it works is because you're equipping it and that gives it MP but if you want something that isn't equipped it has to store MP and to store MP you need crystals. But since I started working with crystals I've found that they have a terrible storage life if you just try to push the MP into them and they take SOOOOO Much more MP to run the enchantment than is used when something is equipped, and if you want to make an enchantment big like I want to curse all of Alne so the Calamities can't get to it but to do that I'd need HUGE pure crystals and have a ton of wave artists emptying their MP pools ALL the time so I was thinking of ways to alchemically create the crystals and then fill them and see if I can't arrange them in a way so they fill themselves much like enchantemnts on equipment do see? But it doesn't work right so I have to find out how to get the enchantments to fill the MP while storing it in the crystals but first I have to get the crystals right and THEN work them into enchantments then I can work on shrinking the whole thing down while keeping the area of influence from getting all screwed up or shrinking with the shrinking enchantment, but that will have to wait I have to get the crystals first. I mean I'll be using Dark enchantments because I think curses are the most MP efficent for effect when you're trying to deal with enemies because they have to work to counter the effects." the tall albino girl starts pacing part way through and then she's talking with her hands between adjustments to the alchemical set up. At some point her fingers go through her hair again leaving a green streak to go with the purple one.
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

"Do I know her? Yeah. Do I know what she's doing? I--" And Wisteria goes into her long spheel on the matter. "-- Kinda get the gist of it," she admits afterwards. "She wants to alchemically sync crystals to absorb their own ambient mana so they can be used in defending a large area, like a Town, from potential Calamities like the one a while ago that came down right on top of Alne." Vertina proves she's not as much of a 'dumb jock' as her typical reckless activities might suggest.
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider's eyes start to glaze as Wisteria explains at length about what she's doing and how she's doing it and what it all means and .... "Uh." He shakes his head to clear it, then says apologetically, "I throw fire at things. All that other stuff ... I have no clue about." He looks to Vertina, then ohs at the condensed version of the explanation. "I guess that makes sense," he agrees. Alas, he -is- a dumb jock, or his player is anyhow.
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Nods her head at Vertina "Exactly see, so what I need to do is get the whole thing small enough that even if I can't make it self sufficent a few mana potions or a handfull of wave artists could keep it topped up so that when something comes then WHOOOSH cursed chains and wailing of lamentation from my enemies!" she laughs in a very sort of mad scientist way that isn't her normal at all.
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Vertina raises a scaled brow at the uncharacteristic laughter. "... You're in one of those weird crafter moods that people have been getting, aren't you?"
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider ehs, hrms to Wisteria, and he wonders, "Can't you use the mana potions -as- your batteries?" Or, "Wait, but mana potions deliver the energy all at once, and you want to give a bit of energy at a time?" He looks to Vertina, then back to Wisteria. "Mood ... oh?" He scratches his head. "Well, I'll help if I can, but you've got to tell me what I can do."
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria blinks "Am I?" she rubs her hands off on her stomach as if she were wearing a work smock leaving smears there. "Oh well that would explain the progress I've been making." she shrugs a little "Well see MP potions go into people not on crystals and then the people have to put the MP IN the crystal see? So you still need people with big MP bars and a tollerance for drinking all those potions. That's what I'm trying to get rid of, is the need for wave artists to just keep dumping their bars into things, but if you let the whole thing ground out then you have to do the enchanting from the bottom up and then why did you bother with getting the enchantment so big in the first place? Not like I can take a week to put up an enchantment when the calamity bar runs out in twenty hours or whatever."
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

"That or discover a kind of potion that can be applied directly to an enchanted object," Which is about all Vertina can really come up with at the moment.
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider nods at what Vertina says. "If you let me know what I can do to help," he says, "in small words so I can understand, I'll do what I can..."
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki returns from traveling and went down to the training yard to look for Wisteria... she's not there, but it smells like she hasn't been there recently either, which is strange -- she knows how Wis is about getting a workout every day, even though it isn't clear it actually does anything for their stats... perhaps Wis is out traveling too? Still, she'll take a look and ask around. And sniff around. She doesn't talk about it much because talking about smelling people sounds weird, but it's useful for finding them! Wis's bed doesn't smell like she slept in it last night either...

Eventually, she's directed to the gatehouse. She starts running faster when she hears that /laugh/. Mizuki opens the door and takes in the sight of Wis and the lab. It may or may not be obvious from Wis's appearance, but the room smells like she's been here all day. Hanging out in a lab instead of a dojo seems weird for the bun, but she was talking about circuits the other day. "Wis? Are you alright?"
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

"If we knew all that there wouldn't be a reason to experiment, now would there?" Vertina gives Mizuki a sort of tongue-in-cheek reply. "Here, give me some of those. I know some alchemy, I have everything but Dark and Water, and I have some familiarity already working with elemental crystals. I studied one dropped by a Duty Boss to determine how to manipulate Light in a similar manner to perfect my Mirage Phase technique."
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider is wildly confused, it seems, his understanding of theory is not all there. He just makes fire happen to people. Sometimes very intensely. But MP is just a bar to him, and he doesn't really need to manage it, his cooldowns are slow enough that he can't spend all his MP in a fight. He's a Rune Knight, apparently that's how his runes work? "Working on circuits how?" he asks, trying to follow along.
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria spins on one sandaled toe "Ahhh Mizukichi good good you can help too, you have high fire.. wait no he has fire too, how are your other affinities? Do you have alchemy? I need to get more crystals made so I can test other factors I need to make sure that the MP drain is a constant and if it is then I can optimize the enchantments that's something I'll need to do anyway, but if I can find ways to reduce drain when there is no enchantment or get the crystals to charge from abient MP rather than needing to be boosted by wave artists... I mean the gnomes figured it out right? So what if it's been lost since then I'm sure we can figure out how to get it working, like that giant lock they had, remember that lock it was all crystal powered, and had been for like four hundred years or something right? I think that if they can manage that I can manage to have something that only needs to be topped up every week or three and then we can get some of the aliance members to do it until I know I can get it big enough to cover Alne and not just our castle. Here take these fill them with your strongest afinity if you could that would be really helpful." she says handing a stack of crystals she was getting ready for Schnider to Mizuki instead. "Then we can start working on the circuits I need... Ooh wait I need to check the one in shadow and one in sun." she says running to hang out of a window on one side of the gatehouse, her long white legs and sandals all that is visible from what seems to be a precarious and possibly dangerous angle of 'hanging out a window'.
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki replies as questions come, still looking a bit concerned, "I have all the elements except light, water's the best weirdly because I'm a were fang and dark is the weakest. I haven't used alchemy since I was on FM World. Wait, we can MAKE crystals? I thought they were ancient artifacts or something. That... that makes sense. Do you think maybe the gnomes built that on a ley line nexus or something, though? Are those a thing? How do I refill a crystal?"

Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria says from out of the window. "What do you think the powders we use in enchantment are made from? Like if we ground up every ancient artifact to make enchantments there wouldn't be anything left and we'd stop enchanting. The alchemy is interesting but really it's just a side part of my project, I can buy crystals but buying them takes time and then they have to be shipped and I have to have gold and grinding gold isn't fast, I mean it's faster than grinding drops." she pops back in the window goes to the other side where whatever she has outside would be hidden from the sky by the angle of the walls. "See I don't know exactly where MP comes from, like is it just in the air or whatever? Or is it radiated from something specific.. I mean it acumulates we know that cause our MP bars go back up but how do we know where that's coming from. Is it when we eat food we get whatever MP whatever we're eating got, and it goes down the food chain and that's why bigger monsters are more magical or maybe it's because they have more surface area to suck up MP from the air I'm not sure really." she pops back in that window after aminute or two of precarious long white leg kicking and then she looks at Schneider her eyes twinkling.

She smiles and is isn't her war smile, or her competition smile or even her usual 'happy' smile it's a bit on the manic side. "AHHhh see THAT is what my research REALLY hinges on, you see when you create an enchantment you're really making an MP circuit like an electrical circuit I guess I mean I'm not sure I don't really know computers or electronics but I mean I did take science in school right? Beside the point, see when you are enchanting an object you have to have a way to protect the object from just directly absorbing the MP or maybe it's the wave form that causes the disentigration." she says pulling over a small dagger. She carves something into the blade with a little diamond tool, her focus completly on it for several minutes where she doesn't talk or respond. Then as if she hadn't just been silent she picks up midlecture. "So you see if I take this circuit but don't add in the powdered crystal and alchemical fixative." she says and touches a finger to it. The blade turns black and looks quite ... nasty in a dark magics are coming for my soul kind of way... then it bursts into pixels like a defeated monster would. "See the MP just grinds it all away and PUFFF you've lost like twenty silver worth of dagger and only learned that you made a circuit good enough to channel MP but never really learned what your enchantment would do or WHY it's been disoluted."
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider admits hesitantly, "Uh, I -do- have all the elements. Light and Dark as well," he explains. "But what's that got to do with ..." And then there's talk of powders and enchantment and crystals, and a bunch of other things he has no clue about. He looks further confused as Wist looks at him with twinkling eyes. But the demonstration of making a dagger vanish -is- interesting. "So ... you'd do that to a bad guy's weapon to make it disappear?" he asks, totally missing the point.
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki hands off the crystals, trying to keep up with Wisteria's words. "I don't think we just immediately get MP from eating food... though I suppose it could be sort of like metabolizing it, just like how in the old world we ate a meal and then digested it over a longer time... perhaps MP potions are just constructed so the MP is more easily taken up by whatever passes for 'biological processes' in our avatars?" She rubs her chin. "How are MP potions made? Is anything known about how they were invented? We have a library now..."

She watches as Wis disintigrates a dagger. "So that's why you were having trouble enchanting at first... concentrated MP destroys objects, or at least decreases durability... but then how are MP potions stable? Is the glass they're contained in special? Or is it that the MP in potions is... in a 'biologically available' form, so to speak, that interacts with our bodies but not other objects?"

Schneider misses the point. "What? No! That'd be a huge waste of materials, although maybe there's some way to apply these principles to create a more efficient spell that destroys weapons..."
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

"Because an MP Potion is stable, specifically created to contain mana in a liquified agent," Vertina speaks up, after tucking a few of the crystals into her inventory. "Which, by the looks of it, is part of your issue." She gestures at the dagger that Wisteria no longer holds since it dematerialized itself. "Transfering that sort of stable state to an object not specifically made for it to do so is apparently more tricky. It's likely the crystals hold a charge better because they have a uniform molecular structure, and thus are more... stable? In a way."
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria nods "That's what I'm trying to figure out is which type of crystal and in what configuration holds an enchantment best, and really enchantments are just instructions and MP is destructive and volitile so it comes to how to keep the MP from leaking away while still being able to power the enchantment and not taking a thousand people dumping their MP bar every couple of days just because you've made the enchantment big enough to protect something larger than a breastplate."
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider wonders, "Wait, we used to make crystals by dipping a string in a solution, then pulling it out and letting it dry. Could you do that with the potion? Letting it crystalize out?" He's obviously not a crafting person, and slow on the uptake with magic, for all that he bills himself as an exploder wizard. Well he's certainly not a crafter wizard.
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

".... That's not a bad idea, Schneider, if it hasn't already been tried." Vertina puts a hand thoughtfully to her chin. "Though I doubt just dipping strings in a magically potent fluid is that, I get the jist of what the process is suppose to accomplish. Find a way to crystalize the mana potions directly."
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki's ears flick and she looks at Setsuna. "I have no idea if 'crystalizing' in a magic or alchemical sense has anything to do with physical processes back home. The potion may or may not work that way even if it does. The potion's like medicine... if you crush up pills, you don't get pure... the chemical that heals you, there's like other stuff in there to hold it as a pill and make sure your body absorbs it right... Well, we don't know. MAYBE potions are like that."

She hmms. "Enchantments are instructions, huh? But what are you instructing? What's an 'instruction' even look like?"
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria nods "Well you're instructing the flow of MP just like when you use a wave art or a sword art or any MP skill. You're skill is giving the MP instructions right? Like that's how you get a wave art you use verbal uhmm.. what do you call the gestures Mizukichi.. hum.." she taps her nose "Ahh yes Somatic compoents... and then POOF wave art... or you can use the menu but the menu just does the same thing just at it's most basic form. Same with like enchanting by menu or alchemy by menu, it's like cooking by menu... you get soggy crackers no matter what it looks like."
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider shrugs about the processing, and can only offer, "If you tell me what you need me to do, I'll help how I can." He looks at his wrist, but no watch. He sighs, "I wonder if they have craftspeople who can make watches," he wonders. "Or maybe they do? I'll have to find out." As to menu casting, he admits, "I used to do the menu casting only, but then I've been kind of getting the hang of not using the menu since I made my own spell. I haven't noticed a lot of difference, though."
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

While the werebun is trying to clarify to Mizuki and Shneider, Vertina takes a few steps off to the side as she opens up her chimlink and calls up to her crew at the Dragon's Larder. "Wis, I'm gonna order you some food and stuff. Since you're .... too busy to come up there for a meal right now."
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki hmmms, folding her arms, then resting one elbow on her opposite hand and tapping her chin. "Is each component an instruction? If we could figure out what each individual instruction means... we could assemble new spells... Like a computer program..."
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Smiles brightly at Verina, it's much closer to her normal happy smile. "Thanks V." she says and hugs the salamander, probably getting alchemical STUFF on her, but hey at least it hasn't been so long she has debuffs for not bathing yet. "Oooh uhm well see like look at this." she says and has a katana in her hands, with a dark and menacing aura. "See here I took dark ball, only I worked it into an enchantment, and then I altered the instructions so that it is produced as a sword art and not a wave art so no ball appears, instead the whole blade becomes the spell vector and the impact is much more mind numbing than getting hit with a darkball." she says and then the sword is gone "Or this." she says producing her helm and showing where the enchantments are laid. "Look here, see I took the binding process for Thorn Bind Hostage, but instead of adding standing damage wave, instead it sets up a curse wave and binds to the MP of the target making everything harder, it starts affecting the inner ear and slows down reactions making them very unstable and wibbly so that when they try to attack it's much easier to defend and it's easy to get around their clumsy parries." she says and the helm is gone. "It's similar but different wh en you're making potions... and yes you start with potion then add a catalyst to start precipitation and then you add that to a substrait to let the crystals grow."
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider shrugs about components and instructions. That's not how he understands spellcasting at all. What he can do, is he can take his bento from his inventory and pass it over. "For when you're hungry," he explains. As Wist explains her process for the weapon and the armor, he tries to follow along. But he doesn't follow very well. He is not crafty.
Vertina
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Vertina works with her own alchemy projects from time to time, she's not phased by getting smeared all over by random unknown regeants and gives a brief hug back. It just means she'll have to clean her clothes before she goes back to the tavern at some point. "Got to look out for my friends after all." Then she picks up one of the kegs she'd come with, rebalancing it on her shoulder. "I'll be back in a bit." Pauses to hoist the second onto her other shoulder. "I need to go drop these off for the officers that are stuck down here at HQ most of the time."
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki looks at the blade. "I knew about that, but not how you made it... you understand the workings in that much detail?" She looks at the little runes or whatever indicating enchantments. "I didn't know such a thing existed... that there was something like that you could do here!" She looks excited... and then sort of slumps, deflated as sadness wells up inside her.

"But I'm a thief... I can't do anything like that in this world..." She moves over to the window so she has somewhere to look other than meeting the others's gazes. "I miss computers... Even if I had to write things myself in assembly, it'd be better than nothing... even machine code...!"
Schneider
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Schneider nods to Vertina as she heads out, and says, "I ought to get going as well. I habe a few things that need my attention as well." Developing propane being one of them. He boggles at Mizuki. He could barely do more than turn a computer on. He guiltily wanders off. "If you need me for anything, let me know!"
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria waves absently to Schneider and smiles at Vertina "Thanks V." she says already eating bento without looking at it, just putting food in her mouth with her fingers. "Ooh Mizukichi can't you just practice at it and learn it? I mean enchanting is part of my class but I was able to figure out things that the menu doesn't do so wouldn't that mean you could learn to enchant? Or like maybe doing alchemy or something but I really only do alchemy to help out with my enchanting and keep my prices down."
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki 's claws scrape on the stone of the windowsill, and she turns to look at Wisteria, glaring at the edge of tears, letting anger into her voice so she doesn't have to sound like she's about to cry. "Not in THIS world! If you don't have the skill listed, it doesn't matter if you do steps right, it keeps messing up! I tried cooking back when we learned how to do it! I tried hunting and fishing but you don't even get a chance to practice, the animals just turn into crappy drops when you kill them! I can't do anything /technical/ or /make stuff/...!"

Her expression softens a bit, and she looks down at the floor. "At least math still works. And I haven't forgotten science, not that it seems to have anything to do with how the world works in /here/." She gently holds her hand to her neck. "At least I have Song, thank goodness. And a pretty singing voice..." She drops her hand. "I guess I could become a magical theorist, and if I learned enough about how it all works I could guide crafters through implementing new ideas... I guess not being able to do the whole thing yourself is part of an ideal world where we all need eachother and have our own thing to contribute, huh...?"

Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria nods her head and squeeeeeeeezes Mizuki "Right, so get Enchanting added to your sheet." she says petting her friend. "Talk to the enchanters and like go to school like a Lander would?"
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki blinks at the hug, and presses against Wisteria, hugging her back. She can enjoy this comforting hug for a moment, darnit! Then she speaks, more calmly, "Is that even possible? I never thought about how Landers learn skills, but would the same process even work for Adventurers? I haven't heard of anyone adding a new skill to their character in all the time we've been here."

"...Maybe I should look more into the singing thing. I know about /singing/, but not how to be a /singer/, like... what do you do? ...I wonder if composing music is covered by Song, I never tried it... or learning other instruments... can you compose new song-based attacks...?"

She brightens. "Wait, Enchanting is for making new items, but spells themselves... I've got Magic and most of the elements, and Song too! That... I've never heard of a 'spellcraft' skill, so it should be possible to make new magical effects I can do myself, right? And then if they need to go on an object, well, I can work with someone with Enchantment... like you!" Her tail twitches back and forth and she starts smiling.
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria laughs softly "I don't know if it will work to learn a new skill but, we haven't been here long enough for anyone to try I think." she shrugs and keeps petting her friend. "And yes the wave arts and sword arts could be made by like anyone as far as I can tell since we all have them."
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki smiles and nods, but doesn't say more until Wis stops petting her. She can enjoy that as long as Wis's fey mood allows, at least...

"...Either way, I'll need to understand more about how magic works, the 'sciences' of this world. I'm happy to help with your work here... how did you figure all this stuff out, anyway? All on your own, or did you find a book...?"
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria pets for a while and nods "Yup, I've got a couple of books." she says "That plus seeing what the ancients did with crystals is what led to this research." she says bouncing away to get one of her books on enchanting. And then scribbled notes on how she realized that the crystals would hold the mana to run the enchantments and how she filled one but it sucked down her whole MP bar.
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki oohs. "I'd like to read them, if that's alright... man, has it really been... like 9 months since I read a book? And how do you fill a crystal, anyway?"^T
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria gathers up one of her empty crystals and sits down "You put your hands on it like this, and then it's kind of like casting a spell but don't actually pick a spell." she says.
Mizuki
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Mizuki nods, taking a crystal and then holding out her hand as if to cast, the rings appearing around her and she just... doesn't cast anything. "What determines which element...?"
Wisteria
Alne - Scale Emblem Alliance HQ

Wisteria shrugs a little "I just concentrate like I do when I'm enchanting, kind of like just picking what I want as I push it out."
