Jazuhanzu
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Rubbing her face, Jazz sits near the gates to Dun Loreiag. She's waiting where she indicated to the others, her hat in her lap. She combs her fingers through her entirely too long locks of hair and then puts the hat back on her head. She's just sitting here.

Waiting.

She looks off into the sky, paying more attention to it than her surroundings.
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Fortunately Yamato doesn't have parking meters. They do however have rental stables, because leave it to the Ninetails to never miss a chance to make a little more gold off all the traders and travellers to come to their Root Town capital. It's from one such stable that Shiruba comes, leading her Peko after having loaded up saddlebags with supplies for a long patrol and training session. "Hello Jazu~" Tradewind just squacks as pekos do.
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Rizadoman had been...out. Whatever it was he had been doing well his armor looked singed, and his scales helds a level of blackness that looked like soot. Whatever he had been doing he didn't seem to be sharing, instead he looks at the two at the gate and gives a greeting. "Greetings to you both." Looking around for a moment as if thinking for a moment before asking, " Were others coming to discuss this? " The lizardman didn't know what this was but just a few days ago he found out goblins were on a moon. It was always something.
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Miyako had just finished her meal and was heading down to find transport back to Shibuya when she heard the discussion on the chimlink, so she paused near the gate to find the gathering that was discussed there. "Afternoon, neighbors. Wonderful day, isn't it?"
Merek
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Merek likely was about from when Estelle came back, then he finds a way into the peaks, with a nod to Jazuhanzu when he comes upon the gates of the city while waving to people.
Jazuhanzu
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Adorably twee Undine, that's Jazz, sitting there. She scrunches her face up and gestures abroad, "C'mon, have a seat. Here's as good a place as any, I guess." She looks down and around, seeming perhaps a little surprised by the turn out, and perhaps a bit uncomfortable, but she steels herself. "Nice to meet you in the flesh," she tells Riz, having only seen him on chimlinks until now. "So, I was talking to Shiruba about the Rite of Waystone. It's been the focus of my attention as of late. It's apparently an ancient crystal which has anti-Leviathin properties, according to the Machina we were talking about. Spatjahr, we call her."
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Shiruba hitchs Tradewind's reigns to a nearby post until she's ready to leave, and walks over to sit down near Jazu. "Right. That's likely why it's mainly Sanguian patrolling the sunken area while the beast coils around the border region." She shivers a little. Seeing that massive eye open overhead is still unsettling to think about, even after all the other weird things she's experienced in this world. Just... giant eyes are creepy, okay?
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Rizadoman looks at the others as they gather before looking at the maid, " A pleasure indeed. It is always nice to put a face to the voice." Crossing his arms as the explination begins and he listens. "I fear I have many questions and as names come up without further explination I will have many more questions, so I apologize." Taking a moment to put his thooughts together he speaks, " Looking for a crystal that has the ability to scare leviathans away. Ok that sems straight forward but who or what is a Sanguian. A guard I assume? "
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Some sort of sea creature, I'd assume," Miyako says with a shrug. "It sounds like a useful thing to find, if you can get past whatever's guarding it, yeah."
Jazuhanzu
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Sahuagin are humanoid fish people that are not Undine. Monster-fish-people. Allied with the Leviathins. We were able to identify the location of the Waystone, find a passage out to the undersea area it's located in, and found that it was heavily guarded in a ruined Undine city by the fish monsters and a Leviathin itself was camped out over it. It scanned the area with a bioluminescent spotlight eye. It was pretty horrible to look at. Which is why I'm working on a plan to try to take the crystal without alerting it, because alerting it is an instant trip back to our root towns, probably." SJazz pinches the bridge of her nose. "Once we have it, we have to get it out to Tsushima Island, where we can power it with the help of the machina that was the center of drama last night."
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Shiruba tilts her head. "Drama? Did I miss something while occupied with other Guild Leader duties last night?"
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Rizadoman nods his heads as he listens and well he just stands there silently for the now thinking. It was one of those long silences where obviously he was having a staring contest with the ground, his arms crossed. At the mention of more drama though he is still unsure of things. " Yes what other drama?" It was better to know it all before he just tossed out options, drama seemed to be a thing that wasn't going to simply disappear in this alliance.
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Yes," Miyako adds. "Did I miss something, or are you just talking about the whole thing around Estelle's little Apollo expedition?"
Jazuhanzu
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Proteus," answers Jazz to Shriuba, "was present when Spatjahr was mentioned and immediately wanted to know more and where she was. She didn't much like not being told no to being informed of their location," giving a nod towards Miyako. "That's all I meant. It was a little dramatic. In any event. So right now, the plan, to me, is to get enhanced under-water breathing capacity, perhaps a way to disguise us as Sahuagin, and then ... figure out how we're going to get and move the crystal out from under the Leivathin's eye. I had this inkling of creating a dummy crystal to replace it with and hope moving it doesn't trigger a giant undeewater boulder to chase us. Or a Leviathin."
Merek
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Merek nods a bit to the conversation, while he seems to think about it. "Interesting, what are your ideas about doing that?" he asks thoughtfully.
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Rizadoman nods his head, " Someone will need to fill me in on Spatj...Spatjahr, at another time for now lets stay on Jazuhanzu's problem." It seems that there was a lot more to learn about if he was going to fully assimulate into the alliance. As the ideas are mentioned he speaks, " It is a shame we do not have one of those teleportation crystals. Then one person could just grab the crystal and teleport away, yes the others would have to get out but it would secure the crystal. " Taking another few minutes to think about it he speaks again, " A dummy crystal might be able to be made if one was to enchant a catalyst crystal with the magic of handle monster. It might resonate close enough to go unnoticed long enough. So thats one idea, whats the mention about the trident? "
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Shiruba aaaahs and nods her head. "Yeah. We.. don't need people to come along poking at Spatjahr to 'see how she works' or thinking she's another monster needing to be... dealt with. Especially not until we know more ourselves. Okay, moving on to the next topic." She settles her hands back in her lap. "Goldenblade does have those oxygen bottles she's learned to make. Though I don't know how many she can make to support a full insertion party... A fake crystal could work. It doesn't need to be perfect, just like Rizardo said, close enough to delay notice."
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Merek, didn't you say you still had more than one of those teleport items?" Miyako considers it briefly. "Where can we get more?"
Jazuhanzu
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Exactly," agrees Jazz with Shiruba, "There's also that her uptime is limited. She has to spend a great deal of time recharging to be able to be conversant for any length of time." She pinches the bridge of her nose for a moment, then nods to Shiruba, then she turns to Rizadoman. "Spatjahr is an ancient machina, left over from ... before. There's a number of considerable timey-wimey shenanigans going on there that don't make a whole lot of sense to me, but that's where we're at. She resides on Tsushima Island, and is extremely dangerous, but we're friiiiiends." She wiggles her fingers in his direction.

"A fake crystal just needs to hold long enough to give us a head start. Teleportation would be nice, but there's no telling whether or not we could teleport with the crystal. More than likely, we're gonna have to hoof... swim it." She grimaces. "And we'll need some way to contain it like its the god damn ark of the covenant." She's full of Indiana Jones references tonight, "since it glows," she adds.
Merek
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"You will need to take a whole monster nest down to get more teleportation crystals," Merek notes then, while he nods a bit. "I have went to almost every monster nest we've taken down so far, which means I've collected a few." He then looks to Jaz, "I agree with ya though, there's no promise it will work in combat."
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"That is why we don't hear from her more often. Understandable." Shiruba puts a hand thoughtfully to her chin. "I would say cover it with something dark. But we're dealing with underwater. It would have to be a material that's not going to soak up water and get even heavier to carry."
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Oilcloth, then. Probably several layers. Or rubberized if anyone's found any rubber-trees." Miyako hmms to herself. "/Has/ anyone found any?"
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"A chest lined with thin layer of cement, I heard recently cement can conceal magic." Rizadoman adds as he considers all that is said but really the problem was, out of everyone standing here there was only one undine. " I can't help but fathom at everyones capabilities , but you may be the fastest swimmer, so it is likely you will have to be the one to hoof it." Looking at Miyako he shakes his head, " Rubber trees are a rainforest tree I think. We would have to find some form of rainforest environment to find them. "
Merek
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"The newest floor of the Tower, that would work. It's kind of like that," Merek mentions then to Rizadoman, he nods a bit, "Cement will seal a relic's power," he then adds, while he seems to think about it. "Well, I can work on production of the trees, if you want to go that route, it will also be interesting to use it for the trade company."
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Hmmm. Well. There are a /lot/ of things we can use rubber for, yeah. If you can find any, that'd be great. Production's probably going to suck, though, if I remember anything about how it works. You have to tap the trees kinda like for maple syrup." Miyako shrugs. "I have no clue what you do from there, though. You'll have to Alchemist it."
Jazuhanzu
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Unlikely we'll have rubber here, no," agrees Jazz, quietly. She ponders a moment, then says to Rizadoman, "is that right? Cement? Might be doable... I'll add it to the list. It'll need to be able to have the proper dimensions, but a stroke of fortune has left us at least a litte help in the form of the Trident of Silence. Pela found a trident at the underwater city where the Stone is. Looks like an explorer was hoping to use it to get relics, but got struck down before they could. I don't want to count on it because, well... it obviously didn't work for the person who already died there, but it might help a bit. Cementing something seems like a more reasonable option." Her tentacles twitch a bit.
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Rizadoman looks over at Merek and says something that is likely not something that is going to be heard, " If you are going to go up to the seventh floor, let Scale Emblem know. If we start doing stuff up there and not disclose some of this, they will start asking and we will have to disclose all of it. Given that this hasn't ended up on any public boards in the taverns or hunter guild I am guessing this is to be kept underwraps. So if you are going to investigate the trees, tell them you are doing it for the trade shop and you will share any information you find. That should keep them from pushing deeper." Rizadoman didn't really like this approach but politics was something that definately seemed to be rearing its ugly head so better to play that game.
Looking over at Jazuhanzu he tilts his head for a moment at the Undin. " What exactly does the trident do? Perhaps the explorer just didn't know how to properly use it? At the same time there is also the possibility that he simply didn't have the status to use the relic. That of being an adventurer" Some mythical item that may or may not help them, it seems it would be wise to poke at that some too.
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Shiruba points at Merek. "Rubber would be a useful commoditiy. But I don't think we want to take the time it would require to find something that might not even be there, figure out how to make it into something usable and so on. We're better off going with cement and oilcloth." Then shakes her head. "To be fair, for all we know the last attempter didn't use the Trident properly... but best to keep it for an additional option in an emergency than to rely solely on it."
Merek
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"It looks like we're going with cement. As for SEA, well I'm on good speaking terms with them. I don't think they mind it when I come by to pick things up. Not many questions at the moment, in fact that's the place I found all of the coffea. It's not regional to Yamato, which means the fields need to be carefully managed," Merek notes to the party, while he nods, "Anyway, I will do what I can without making it an issue with anyone. I trust Proteus, all the same... I think some things should be kept secret, for the safety of the people involved." With that, he nods a bit as well to everyone.
Jazuhanzu
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"... I can't trust anyone who displays that combination of self-regard and brittleness. It's a bad combination that, sooner or later, is going to create conflict when she's the one being told she doesn't get to know something, as you saw earlier. I had a feeling that's who she was the first time I met her and she only confirmed that with her behavior when I pushed back on her comments the way I did." She rolls her shoulders loosely, tentacles raising in question marks. "Just beware of what you share with that one."
Miyako
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

Miyako nods. "Some things need to be kept secret," she agrees, despite her insistence on transparency the night before. "And some people shouldn't be harassed by rando idiots."
Rizadoman
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"Secrecy is a weapon just like anything else.If you draw it at every time a choice needs to be made you will fall on it, however if you use it wisely and sparingly its not a bad thing." Rizadoman adds though he steps back and simply takes a seat. It appears that he would be rather quiet from here on out and simply listen to what needs to be said, if there was anything else.
Shiruba
Dun Loireag - The Peaks

"As much as I implore keeping the Alliances working together so we don't end up at each others' throats I understand that we don't want to share -everything-. Certain types of people are... yes, anyways. Use your discression." Shiruba gets to her feet, bows briefly to the group, and then walks back over to her Peko. "I need to get out to the group I'm working with in the morning. Thank you for keeping me up to date on the situation, Jazu."
