Duty Session 297: Is It Wrong to Pick Up Slimes in a Dungeon?

    Wisteria heads to the hunters guild to pick up a quest, she needs to get back down into the sewers... if only to make sure she hasn't missed anything, there are corners to poke, dark places she hasn't seen, and there might be glitches there one never knows.

    The tall albino girl hangs about near the guild trying to pick up some folks to head down and clear out slimes. She knows she can count on Mizukichi and anyone else can fill out the group to make it work.

Jimmu was just dropping off a quest of his own at the Hunter's Guild, and after an awkward attempt at chat with the Lander behind the counter, the Spriggan steps away, about to turn away when he notices Wisteria picking up a quest and looking for others to join in. He takes a deep breath, then approaches the Were Fang. "I'll come." That's all he says, but he does try to offer a brief, small smile before tagging along. As smiles go, it looks more like a grimace, but it's the thought that counts. Maybe.

Yeowang is at the Hunters' Guild as well, hoping to find a group. When Wisteria arrives, she'll rise and bow. "Do you mind if I join you?" she asks. "I need to keep my training, you see." She's dressed in a white top and heavy black pants, with sturdy ankle-boots. Her long hair has been gathered atop of her head in a tight bun. She introduces herself, "I am Yeowang," and bows to the other adventurers.

    A little bit down the street is a certain well known Imp. She is currently hammering a nail through a piece of paper-using the pummel of her sword no less-into a wooden post. Once she is done, she sheathes her sword and steps back to admire her handywork. She dusts off her hands, saying triumphantly to herself, "There. Last one done!"

    Yuuki spins around, starting to walk down the street. Along the way, she notices the group forming up outside the Hunter's Guild. Of particular note is one Wisteria, due to being rather easy to notice. Yuuki wanders over, waving towards the bun, "Wistie!"

    Yuuki stops beside the group, grinning, "You gathering some people up for some fun? Mind if I join in? Was just about to go looking for something to do... And I'm sure whatever you have planned will be neat!"

    Mizuki is happy to follow and hang out with Wisteria wherever she goes! Partly she's a comforting and familiar presense now, and partly... there's just something about being around her that... it's not exactly sexual or anything, but being hugged by the tall bunny feels different from a casual hug with one of his female friends back in real life. At the moment, though, she's hugging Wis from behind, smiling, and closes her eyes--

    --And sees a mental image of how this would look Outside, on some Japanese street with passerby giving an overweight 20-something foreigner weird looks as he hugs a high school girl like that--

    --She opens her eyes and shivers. Right. One day this is all going to go away... She unconsciously squeezes Wis tighter... and then hears the sound of people talking to Wis, and leans to one side to peer around her.Yeowang and Yuuki she's seen before, Jimmu she hasn't.

    The catgirl blinks away a bit of water from her eyes and smiles. "Yeah! We're gonna go see if we've missed anything in the slime dungeon... our reports of how it ended don't match up, so maybe there are still more variations to examine!" She steps out from behind Wisteria. "I'm Mizuki, werecat ninja and Odysseia Knight!" She points a thumb at herself and grins. "I've been through the Culvert more times than I can count back on iRO, so the sewer is no big deal!" She hangs her head and her ears splay. "Although it kinda sucks that we can smell it now..."

    Wisteria smiles and waves "Yah, I need to poke around the sewers some more. I haven't actively been looking for glitches since I was in my Fey mood." she says with a little shrug. "So the more the merrier, it's low enough level Mizukichi and I could probably clear it without much trouble. This is more fun though. Always nice to have people along." she drapes her arms around Mizuki's shoulders and rests her chin on top of the smaller girl's head. "Mizukichi and I can do anything." she says with a bright smile. "But friends, new and old are always a good thing to have around." the tall albino girl is really coming out of her shell here trapped in a world she wants to escape so badly it seems. "Anyone else? Everyone ready? Spalunking in the sewers to clear the slimes and clean the drinking water... I mean... with the exception of that one midboss... it's mostly storm drains really."

"Jimmu." He introduces himself curtly, but returns the bow with every appearance of grave courtesy. He blinks a little at Mizuki, then offers, "I haven't been down there. It sounds," he pauses to scratch at his beard and find a word, eventually settling on, "useful." The idea of /smelling/ the sewers makes his nose wrinkle, but he doesn't say anything. He looks down to check his gear, which seems to consist mostly of the sword on his hip and a small buckler attached to his off hand. "Ready." He tries another smile at everyone.

Yeowang nods her readiness, and wrinkles her nose at the smell of the sewer. "That's an improvement I could have skipped," she laments. "I've been on a couple of missions where the smell was bad enough to floor you. Hopefully this won't be one of them. On the other hand, sewers aren't known for their pleasant smells, are they?"

    Yuuki nods along with Wisteria, then ohhhs, "The slime dungeon, right? It's been a while since I've done that one!" But then Wisteria raises a good point, "Ah, right, the level thing... I wonder if I might be too high." Yuuki rubs her chin for a moment...

    She then shrugs, "Eh, probably not. And sometimes it's fun to go back and get a sense of how you've improved!"

    Looking at the others that have apparently gathered for the quest, Yuuki recognises most of them. It's only Jimmu which draws out a question mark. So Yuuki smiles and gives him a quick wave, "Yuuki. Nice to meet you."

    Anyway, it seems that it's time to set off. Yuuki pumps her fist into the air, "Let's go go go!" She starts walking energetically in the direction of the quest start. Though when Yeowang brings up the issue about the smell, Yuuki raises her finger and explains, "You've got to learn to breath through your mouth only. It's not perfect, but it helps eliminate most of the smell."

    Mizukichi and I can do anything.

    Mizuki's ears perk up again. When's the last time she's ever heard a compliment like that? 'Oh yeah, Sam can do anything with computers' -- spoken by coworkers who were amazed by feats such as actually reading an error message and doing what it says. 'Oh, you're so smart, I bet you grow up to be the next Bill Gates' -- spoken by clueless, disearnest adults. Is this... the first time ever? Ah, wait, people are speaking Mizuki, it's adventure time, get out of your head!

    "Y-yeah," she nods. "It's less bad out of were fang form... what we should get is some sort of strong-smelling ointment, mint or eucalyptus or something, to put on scarves to overpower the smell... I'm ready as ever, Wis!" She smiles up at Wisteria's chin, tail twitching.

    Wisteria laughs softly and squeezes Mizuki tight before heading off along with the party. "I use!." she pulls out a jar "MUSCLE CREAM!" she grins "I'm an alchemist.. it smells very strong of medicine but that's better than sewer." she says with a laugh as she bounces along towards the dungeon start.

    Wisteria slides on down the rope to settle in at the bottom. She heads along until the ghostly little Whisperings fload towards the party with their 'spooky' ooooooos. The ghostly slimes approaching the party with wicked intent.

"Nice to meet you," Jimmu echoes to Yuuki, and her wave gets a little awkward one in return. He falls in with the others, something very like a chuckle escaping him at the enthusiastic fist pump into the air. At Mizuki's words, he frowns. "Peppermint candy," he suggests, and pats down his pockets as they walk. His shoulders droop. "Don't have any. Sorry." But he brightens at the muscle cream, and if it's offered, slathers his upper lip with a bit of it.

As they slip down into the sewers, he frowns. "Should...slimes 'ooooh'?" And then there are ghost slimes! He whispers something to himself, drawing his sword as he does. The shadows grow sharp edges, forming magical blades to cut at the ghosts and try and keep them away from the party.

Yeowang smirks at Yuuki's solution to the smell, replying, "It's true you can't smell it, but then you taste it, and I think that's a bit worse." She nods at what Mizuki says about the ointments. "I don't have any of that, but I've got hankechiefs humans, at least, car wear across our faces." Those with snouts or muzzles are out of luck, sadly. But Wisteria's ointment sounds promising.

She'll follow along quietly behind Wisteria toward the spooky sounds. "Ghost slimes?" she says, incredulously. Well, she's got a thing she can do for ghosts. She doesn't seem confident, but she calls out, "Ghosts begone," in a firm voice, her hand raised up, glowing with a pale light. Strangely, the slimes seem to respect that, and don't crowd her as she proceeds on.

    Yuuki chooses not to use the provided rope, instead running down the sides of the well, spiralling until she's close enough to leap off and land on solid ground once more. The rope is the boring way.

    Beginning to make their way through the underground, the moans of the ghosts start to echo. Yuuki doesn't seem concerned. As they whisperings start to get close, clearly on the offensive, Yuuki draws her sword and swings it, "Hiyah!"

    The sword passes through the ghost slime harmlessly. Yuuki frowns. She tries a few more swings, but nothing. A few moments of thought... Flames burst to life around Yuuki's sword and she swings again. Still not enough! Apparently that's still too much of a physical Sword Arte for it to be effective against this ghost type monster.

    Yuuki looks over to Yeowang, noticing her getting by with just a glow. Yuuki digs around in her inventory for a moment, "Nope... Nope... Nope... Ah hah!" Yuuki pulls out... A candle!

    Yuuki uses her flaming sword to light the candle, then raises the light source up, "Take this! Candle Light attack!" It's hardly an attack. But the light given off by the item does appear to ward off the whisperings around Yuuki. Which is good enough for her.

    Of course, it's less bright than FLAMING SWORD. But Yuuki didn't program the game...

    Muscle cream? "Ah, can I borrow some of that?" She finds something to apply it to and tie around her nose.

    Before they descend into the well, Mizuki de-transforms and equips another set of armor: The armor set is a mix of fantasy and history; Most immediately eyecatching are the black hat with a feather plume that seems to be somewhere between a cavalier hat and a tricorner hat, and the blue cloak. Under the cloak is a realistic buff coat with a red sash around the waist. Two shoulder belts cross over her chest, with pouches for holding things and sheathed daggers. A pair of black trousers complete the outfit. Lastly, piratey-looking boots (normally hidden in were form) complete the set.

    She climbs down the rope into the sewers, grumbling to herself about not having claws.

    "They're whisperings. Most physical attacks don't work, you need magic or holy effects." She demonstrates by holding her hand out in a casting stance. "Destruction of nature, gather in flame! Fireball!" The little ball of fire shoots from her hand and then satisfying explodes in the middle of a group of whisperings!

    Wisteria smiles and... just walks past the darkness around her armor growing deeper as she strengthens the curses on it, the little whisperings not really willing to try their own dark magics against the cursebun. "They're still just little guys." she says with a laugh.

    The party makes it's way through the waterways and then it's the dry bit of the drains. "OOoh isn't this where the kitty slimes were?" she says looking around, and then Boing-nya, boing-nya, boing-nya comes down the passage as the tabby slimes hunt rats.

There's a sidelong look towards Yuuki as her sword swishes through the slimes without harming them. He gestures, about to turn his blades of darkness towards the creatures harassing her when she pulls out that candle. His blink of surprise becomes a slow smile as the light pushes back the monsters. "Good thinking," he offers, quietly, as they move on.

When they come across the tabby slimes his expression softens for a moment. "Cute."

And then one of the tabby slimes catches a rat. CRUNCH. "...not so cute." And yet, he still can't bring himself to ATTACK the tabby slimes. Instead, he chants, louder this time, "I summon the storm, dancing like eaves in the gale, your teeth find only air: Lightningstep!" And with the haiku incantation complete, he leaps into the air, streaking over the slimes' head-blobs with the crack of thunder following behind him. He lands at the far end of the tabby-herd, his boots coated in...well, slime. They can jump, after all. Not quite high enough to bring him down, but now his boots squelch just a little.

Yeowang is quite glad to get out of the muck, her boots making a squelching sound as she fingers through her menu. Menu clean, it seems, cleans and dries the boots. They still feel a bit mucky, but she's not going to get foot fungus, at least. Walking in the dry now, se peers critically at the cat slimes hunting rats. She winces in distaste, barely holding herself back from a jump-and-scream. She can hold herself calm....

Sprinting across the area, she avoids all the rats, and nearly all the slimes, which aren't so bad, apart from being slimy. On the other side, she pauses, panting as she catches her breath. She ought to be better at this by now. But every now and again it gets to her.

    Yuuki gives Jimmu a grin at the compliment, "Thanks! Physical immune mobs are like, my bane. But, with a little creative thinking, it's not so bad." Onwards we go!

    Joining the others approaching the tabby slime pack, Yuuki is much of the same opinion as Jimmu. Though hers lasts even through the sudden crunch as Yuuki calls out to cheer the tabby slime on, "You get 'em, little guy!" Yuuki may not be quite at the Uta level of slime fondness, but it's no wonder she encouraged the Slime Researcher into her field of expertise.

    So, Yuuki follows much the same approach as the others. She stretches her legs for a moment, before dashing forward towards the pack. But then she suddenly zigs. With a small leap she plants a foot against the wall of the sewer, a green glow of light appearing between her foot and the stone. Another foot follows, then another! Yuuki runs up the curved wall until she's at the very top and now running across the ceiling.

    It's only once Yuuki reaches the other side of the tabby slime pack that Yuuki finally stops running, the glow beneath her feet fading and causing her to fall. She flips in the air to land feet first, arms out, like a gymnast finishing a routine.

    "Oh my god are they actually scared of all your cursed gear? That's really cool!" Mizuki observes to Wis, feeling pretty pleased with herself for a well-executed fireball. She walks into the dry area. "You're right... ah, I can't hear as well like this..." She tries to sneak past the slimes, appreciating their cuteness in silence.

    Honestly? Absorbing the rats is arguably cuter than biting their heads off and then just leaving the corpse around like a well-fed housecat does...

    Unfortunately, she's not quiet enough, and aggroes a tabby slime. She knows by now they're not safe to touch. "Ah, no, don't even THINK of it, I'm not food! Bad slime!" She conjures up some water and flings it, but the commotion attracts more slimes until she can't keep up with them, a few glomping onto her and gnawing her, "Ow! Bad kitties! Come on, I'm a kitty too, you shouldn't -- okay, no, that's fair, real cats fight over territory. Still! Get off me!" She tries to push them off and flails her limbs, looking to the others for help.

    Wisteria nearly dances her way through the kitties, helping free Mizukichi and bring her along. "Shouldn't get yourself swarmed by kitties just to have friends." she teases the smaller girl.

    Then they're heading into the the cleaner area of the waterways. "Oooh... I remember these guys, careful they use low level spells." she says and licks her lips a little and gets out her notepad.

Jimmu gives Mizuki a worried look as Wisteria brings her through the kitty horde. "Definitely not as cute as they look. You okay?"

As they head into the cleaner area, he stops to stare at the little mage slimes. It looks for a moment as if he's trying to find another way to avoid attacking them...and then one of them turns to him and "Pchoo!" It fires a tiny fireball right at his face. With a yelp, he dodges to the side, coming up next to the runes. More mage slimes start firing magical spells at him. After a quick look at the runes, his lips moving silently as he translates, he starts invoking specific ones, turning the projectiles back on the slimes.

Yeowang frowns as we face off against the magic slimes. Magic's one of the things that she's very not-good at despite being in the game all this time. She's quite capable, otherwise, and she (mostly) knows how to use it. But she's not confident with it, and she tends to be uncomfortable using it. The spell she casts works, which surpises her a bit, but it forms a swirking circle in the empty water and freezes all the slimes inside that circle, which is no slimes. Or possibly are no slimes. Whichever the case, she's failed to help the cause, and looks to the others to see if she needs to try something else?

    Yuuki turns around to notice Mizuki in trouble. The Imp is still debating whether to go to the aid of her fellow Adventurer, sword swinging, or to let the cute slimes be, when Wisteria solves the problem by simply pulling Mizuki along with her.

    Yuuki gives Wisteria a thumbs up, "Nice save!" She looks at the now slimed Mizuki, "You might want to consider washing off at the next clean water."

    Oh hey, here's on now. And it's only being guarded by cute slime wizards. Slimards? Wizimes?

    Yuuki nods in agreement with Wisteria, "This is all seeming very familiar. I don't have a lot of options when it comes to this part... So I'll probably go with something similar to last time."

    Yuuki reaches into her inventory and pulls out a blue coloured potion. She gulps it down, a soft blue light appearing around her feet. Yuuki then runs forward towards the large pool of water. Her foot comes down on the surface, but doesn't sink down. Neither does the second.

    Yuuki takes advantage of the potion's effect to run across the water. She zips in close to a Wizime (it has a nice ring to it) to earn its attention, before zipping away as it fires off a spell. Only for the spell to miss and fly towards one of its Wizime allies.

    Yuuki repeats this against several slimes before finally making her way over towards the other side of the large pool and onto solid ground once more. Just in time too as the potion effect runs out.

    Mizuki is covered in splotches of glowing red polygons, but smiles good-naturedly at Wis's joking. "I don't need them anyway, I already have friends!" She looks to Jimmu. "Yeah, it looks worse than it is. Wide, shallow skin damage from the acid."

    And then they come upon the wizard slimes. "Ah, okay, I've seen this one before. We have to mess with the runes in the right way..." She starts lighting them up, but instead of bouncing the mage-slimes' attacks back at them, they're bounced into her! "Ah! Did I mess it up?! Or did the puzzle change? Ow, stop!" She tries to find cover somewhere the magic attacks won't bounce into her!

    Wisteria looks "The pattern you picked isn't matching the notes I have." She says switching the runes around, and then she's getting pelted "Challenge changed Challenge changed!" she says scooping up Mizuki and running from the blasts of the Wizimes "Run for it!" She says, and if it wasn't for the running around the party ends up going down the WORST possible route. "Oooh ... not the.. black flan... I hate the poo slime!" She says with a groan.

"I'm just following the translations," Jimmu says, with a frown at the runes. And then there's shouting, and commands to run. One thing he isn't is slow on his feet; he's running for it as soon as the words are out of Wisteria's mouth, detouring only to help Yeowang if she needs to need it.

He pelts down the tunnel, pulling his sword as something looms ahead. "NOT cute," he proclaims it, and leaps forward, rapier out to try and carve his way through the flan.

The first cuts go well. But there's a LOT of flan, and Jimmu isn't quite quick enough. Instead, a torrent of fetid water knocks the Spriggan sideways through the air, sending him flying. And then splashing into horrible sewer water. It is the saddest sploosh.

Yeowang will take Jimmu's help through the magic slimes, she proceeds onward, until we're facing the Black Flan of Stink. Wrapping a cloth around her face, she channels air. Air swirls around her, and is obedient, it seems. She sends the air against the Flan, blowing the stink back, pushing it away from the party so it's not a weapon against us.

    Yuuki has to agree that this is probably one of the less cute/awesome slimes Yuuki has seen. Which means she's not against killing it!

    Well, to be honest, Yuuki wasn't against killing the previous ones either. It's just, she wasn't as set on it. But this one... She'll gladly kill this one! And she certainly tries!

    A dark wind rises up to engulf Yuuki as the battle begins. The Imp runs off, as per usual. Approaching the hideous ooze monster at an angle. As the waves of water thrash about, Yuuki is saved by being able to stay one step ahead. And any nearby spill over is warded off by the wind currently engulfing her.

    Using the heightened speed of her Sword Arte, Yuuki closes in to unleash a series of stabs and slashes against the bad slime, before jumping away to avoid possible counterattacks. She repeats this a few times, whittling away at the boss's HP with numerous quick strikes, in between assaults from her allies.

    Mizuki is scooped up and *carried* out of the room and she's not even a cat. It might be more of a princess carry anyway. S-she's not a princess! B-being rescued by an adventurer... She looks up at Wis shouting warnings all business-like and blushes in confusion. And yet in Wis's arms she's safe... She starts to lean into it but then suddenly, the poo slime! "Oh no!"

    Mizuki scrambles to her feet, rezzing and drinking a healing potion, trying to keep it down despite the smell, pulling the collar of her coat up to try and get a breath of non-poo air so she can speak! "Swirling bolts, gather and strike with power! Lightning bolt!"

    She thrusts out a hand and zaps the great stinking ooze! And then she frantically jumps over the water, using flashstep's extra jumps to make SURE she clears it!

    Wisteria gets her sword out and makes several slashes, the blade sending sharp winds whipping around, to help clear the smells as well as cutting into the black flan boss. She helps finishing the monster off while keeping clear of any goopy grossness.

    "Come on, on to the boss lets not linger." She heads along to the large cicular chamber of the Ectopudding. The big fishyglowing ghostly ooze getting the telltale HP bar to start the boss battle.

Jimmu picks himself out of the sludge, covered in muck and mournful. He trudges after the party, reaching for the menu clean to take the worst of the...stains off. For now, anyway. He's definitely throwing himself into a clean pond later. When the chamber first seems empty, he pauses, wrings some muck out of his hair. "Are we--" and then the rivulets begin to form into the massive ooze.

"Let's go back to the cute ones," he suggests, slow and glum. Despite this, he makes no effort to flee. Instead, he begins to gesture, gathering air into invisible blades, trying to use them to cut away at the giant ooze as it forms.

His freeform magic actually helps, keeping the ooze from fully forming, scattering bits at the side to whittling it down. "This isn't lingering!"

It seems like Yeowang is going to be relying on air magic yet again in these sewers. She joins Jimmu proceeding onward, though rather than lament the yuck, she menu-cleans herself as and when she needs it. Not quite obsessively, but it's clear she's not pleased with the yuck. As the large ooze forms up out of the ground with its fish-face and gaping mouth, she winces in distaste, but sighs and raises a hand. She nods as Wisteria calls for us to take on the boss. "On it," she replies.

There is a crack of thunder, and then a bolt of lightning strikes the slime dead on, sucking down a decent chunk of its HP. Her expression's not pleased, but it /is/ determined, and she continues with the lightning treatment.

    Surprise! Turns out that was just a mid-boss. Sneakily deceptive.

    Reaching the actual true end boss, Yuuki watches as it rises up to its full, fishy glory.

    Yuuki winces and wrinkles her nose a little, "Ugh, someone needs a bath..." She looks at the recently tabby-slimed Mizuki.

    The battle begins. Probably accompanied by a music change. Yuuki charges in, performing her usual dance with her sword. Stabbing and slashing, jumping away, ducking under strikes, countering with big impactful strikes as her sword glows from Sword Artes.

    You know. The usual.

    Let's not linger. "Ugh, yeah." Mizuki walks on. "This should be the boss room..."

    And then... the ooze comes together, and a fishlike, translucent head rises out of the ooze.

    Mizuki begins singing while running around the edge of the room, using air magic to try and dodge the swinging arms.

    Thunder, rain and lightning
    Danger, water rising
    Clamour, sirens wailing
    It's such a bad sign
    Shadows of dark creatures
    Steel clouds, floating in the air
    People run for shelter
    What's gonna happen to us?

    Yeah she is absolutely providing boss music. Eventually, she gets to the chorus:

    Can't hold on much longer
    But I will never let go!
    I know it's a one way track
    Tell me now how long this'll last!
    I'm not gonna think this way
    Nor will I count on others!
    Close my eyes and feel it burn
    Now I see what I've gotta do!

    ...And then, seeing an opening, she uses air magic to speed herself up, running up one of the arms after an attack, racing up towards an Obvious Weak Point and leaping into the air, belting out:

    "OPEN YOUR HEART, IT'S GONNA BE ALRIIIIIGHT!"

    And then lands, jabbing her daggers into the weak point, tearing them apart for as much damage as she can, and then dashing out of the way before the boss retaliates!

    Wisteria walks at the boss, the albino girl shifting partway there, leaving an albino bun woman in her place. Long ears poking from transformed holes in the helmet. She waits for the boss to swing, and skips back but it looks like she failed to dodge. That is until she laughs, the armor deepening like falling night before black chains snap out of her armor and into the boss before snapping free and then driving themselves into the ground. "That should make things easier." she says before joining into the general melee. And it gives some idea what she means when she keeps telling people she's cursed her weapons and armor.

SPLOOSH. Once more, Jimmu is covered in slime. But this time it's VICTORY slime, and surely that matters? From his melancholy expression, maybe it doesn't. He uses the menu clean once more, but he's still slightly sticky all over. "We won," he says, simply. He moves to check out the loot, and picks up one of the coins, peering at it front and back. "Huh."

It's not exactly a stirring eulogy for the lost slime, but after a moment, he adds, "I see why she finds them interesting."

    Yuuki lands after another jump away from the slime boss, just as it finally dies off and explodes into pixels of light. Yuuki takes in a deep breath and lets it out again, before grinning at the others and giving them all a thumbs up.

    Yuuki sheathes her sword and walks over to join the rest. She too finds herself one of those coins, picking it up and looking over it for a moment, before slipping it into her inventory.

    Yuuki then looks at Wisteria and whistles, "That's pretty impressive. I wish I had some cool armor like that... Mine's just normal light armor damage reduction stuff." Yuuki looks down at her outfit, banging a fist lightly against the chestplate.

    Yuuki then grins at Jimmu, "You talking about Uta? Yeah, slimes are pretty neat! Most of the time. Some of them are a bit icky..." Like the last two they encountered. Yuuki's eyes then light up, "Just wait until you see the slime dragon!"

    Whether the rock guitars and drums actually play, Mizuki can hear them in her head. Once Perfect Chao--err, the Ectopudding is defeated, she shouts, "Cover yourselves!" And rezzes an oilskin cloth which she hides under, waiting for the sliming before derezzing it into her inventory for cleaning later.

Yeowang gets the warning a moment too late and is .... slimed. She sighs heavily, looking out covered with yet more yuck. "I hate slime," she mumbles, going through yet another cycle of menu-clean and menu laundry. It doesn't -feel- clean, at this point, but it's the best she can do, right here, right now.

    Wisteria laughs "Well I laid the curses myself, I'm working on something really special now that I finished cursing the castle I think I can really pack in a massive curse now." she says happily, as if the Dark Chain Binding curse isn't already beastly.

"Slime...dragon?" The look Jimmu turns on Yuuki is half-fascinated, and half-horrified. But he gives a slow, almost wary, nod at the mention of Uta. "She was passionate. About slimes." It's not disapproving. He looks down at the coin again, then slips it into his inventory. Yeowang's mumble gets a sharper nod of agreement. "It doesn't have to explode," is his comment. Like the fact that it DID explode is a personal affront.

At the talk of further curses, he peers at Wisteria with pale-eyed interest. "What is massive? For context? That seemed...substantial."

    Mizuki walks over to Wis to compare notes. On the one hand, she does not get a look at a slimed Wisteria. On the other hand, having been covered in slime herself she wouldn't seriously wish it on anyone, and also, this way they can share a victory hug! "An even greater curse than the one you made? Wow... So, I'd already gotten this ending to this dungeon, have you? I wonder how it's determined... is it just random every time?" She nods to Yuuki. "I've seen the slime wyvern, yeah. Uta was there for that, I think..."

    Wisteria squooshes a Mizuki "Yah it was pretty cool, all dragony while still being a cute slime." she says with a laugh "I liked that one. Well I've run through lots of dungeons over and over, and some of them you can find a mechanic to trigger certain bosses, and sometimes it's luck of the draw." she shrugs "That's just how it seems to be."
