A Priest and Doctor walk into a bar.

    The city of Dun Loireag was good for many things, gathering supplies for a camping trip, gathering information, trying to work connections, which is all why the leader of Moon Tree was sitting in a bar near the entrance of the city going down a checklist. The city is also a great middle ground for someone from Shibuya to meet with a doctor from Tolbana. So of course how did Rizadoman get the doctors attention, was it a humble request, issuing a challenge, no it was two words actually, 'Lupusregina Beta'. Also of course on the back of that delivered note was a place and time, but still the other words were the attention grabbers.

Prophylaxis has reason to be in Dun Loireag anyway even beside this mysterious letter from the guy who he met exactly two or three times, before being saved by that guy from an exploding enigma piece. After all, there is an abundance of undead just a few hours away, and /someone/ needs to drop by and keep an eye on that stuff every so often, especially with the plan to build a fortress in the area... Still languishing in the details.

But first, drinks!

"Good evening!" Prophylaxis says, sinking into the seat across from the permanently lizarded Lizardman. "I have received your letter, and I am intrigued. So."

His voice lowers to more covert tones, "...Lupusregina Beta. Has she reappeared?"

    Rizadoman greets the doctor with a nod before raising a talon towards the bartender asking for two drinks. Rizadoman reaches into his belt and pulls out a small note book where he opens it still having not said something yet, retrieving some charcoal pencils he begins to write down a thought, "Divine ...Beings, land specific? " It sounds like Rizadoman is a bit distracted until he gets the question written down and then sighs. " Yes she has supposedly reappeared. Lets start with the beginning though. Does the name Ainz Ooal Gown, mean anything to you?"

"I don't think I ever thanked you for that last time," Propylaxis says with a sigh. "Really, while death is more of a suggestion in this place, it's not something I wish upon anyone. We still aren't certain /what/ kind of effects it might have on us, and it'd be best to avoid death whenever possible. Regardless, thank you, truly."

She has reappeared, though. That is unsettling news. "Ainz Ooal Gown...? I'm afraid I haven't come across the name before. Though if you're asking about divine beings, and if you mean the likes of the Yuki-Onna and the Kirin, then yes, they do seem to be region-- or at least, server-area-- specific."

    Rizadoman shakes his head, " It had to be done and at the end of the day if I must die so others will live that is how it shall be. My ancestors would have done the same and I would have dishonored them had I chose to let someone else die for me. I was greeted by my ancestors on the other side and I was granted passage back to this world to continue my work here. You are right though, one day I may not be able to find my way back, so I must make sure to not let that happen again. "

The lizardman is distracted by the delivery of a glass of wine and he takes a sip and relaxes a little, " No no the divine being was a question that is starting to nag at me. I didn't know you had information about them." Using his inventory he withdraws the skeleton knight bone, " If you would take a moment to take a good look at this. This was found at the last wave..." He places the bone on the table and lets the doctor do what he is going to do for now. " Ainz Ooal Gown, is who Lupusregina Beta works for."

Prophylaxis isn't... quite sure what to make of that statement, to be quite honest! "I'm sorry, you said you met your Ancestors while you were dead? Do you mean you remember what happened between when you died and when you were revived?" Because if so, that's pretty important to know! But also a digression.

The drink that comes for Prophylaxis is not grape-wine, but rice-wine: Nice, piping hot sake, the perfect thing to go with a chat in the midst of an approaching winter! "I see," he says as he examines the bone. It takes the doctor a few minutes to finally get a read on the thing, but when he does... "...Ainz Ooal Gown. Do you think that, perhaps, he is working in cooperation with those other heroes who appear with the waves? Strange, though. I didn't think they usually stuck around between each one. Unless his forces are an exception...?"

    Rizadoman shakes his head and fouses on the great lich for now, " I don't know. Proteus suggested it was related to the ogre we came across that used Fireball Beta. However I don't think thts the case myself, I think a few things are possible. " Taking a deep breath, he does his best to gather his thoughts, " First though the other tidbit of information I have found is that both Ainz Ooal Gown and Lupusregina Beta are ghost. Not in the undead sense but in the sense that they are not mentioned in anything, anywhere. No myth, no legend, yethere is a connection to a wave, and wolf girl was coordinating the goblins. You would think that they would stand out in some form. Only in a recent report did Lupusregina appear, and who knows for how long. I haven't decided if we should persue her or simply try to avoid her. I think she may have been holding back some last time. " With that all said he sips his wine and takes a moment break to let the doctor comment before he continues.

"Hm, that makes sense, that they're... Virtually unknown," Prophylaxis muses thoughtfully. "If they're from another world, or another /part/ of the world, then it would make sense that they would not be known here. Though that doesn't mean that there is not extant information about them in this world, just that there my not be any in Alba. Or Yamato?" The doctor sips slowly at his sake, then explains: "...We know there are ways to access other parts of the world. There were forces at work in Castle Eas that somehow opened a gate to the Chinese Server, for example, and it may be that the rules there are different from the way that they are here."

As far as whether to pursue Lupusregina...

Well.

"Lupusregina Beta. Entoma Zeta. I think there are others, probably. I don't think it's a good idea to leave them alone, personally-- I'd suggest that you spend some resources tracking them and determining if they have any weaknesses we can exploit to eliminate them."

    Rizadoman tilts his head at the doctor, "Entoma Zeta? " That was a new name and he would have to add it to the list of known associates but what the doctor says is true, some investigation and preperation would be wise. There was an elf who may help. " I think that they could be the real reason those other worlders blame us for the wave trouble. A villionous group who is somehow a third party playing the sides to make it look like we are the bad guys. That is just my guess though. " With a deep breath he adds, " They may even come from a different world then the wave people. " Rizadoman adds the name to his book before looking up at the doctor with a smile. " Thank you for the information."

"She appeared near Westelande and attacked a coming-of-age ceremony. Or, she tried to," Prophylaxis shrugs, then... furrows his brow. Something seems to have come to mind. "An insect monster in Westelande, near a hive of hostile insect monsters. An overpowered vampire appearing in Ninetails, near a nascent would-be empire of vampires... Goblin attacks orchestrated in Fourlands. Hm. They may be unrelated, but there are a couple more: Demiurge and Shalltear Bloodfallen." The former might be familiar, as they /were/ both in Mac Anu that day they confronted the goblin mirror. "I don't know if the latter has anything to do with our local bloodsuckers, but it seems very odd that there are all these powerful forces at work, using very similar MOs, and that they /aren't/ somehow connected. They certainly don't seem to be working cross-purposes, and in each case are using local monster presences to attack and disrupt both Landers and Adventurers. I think you might want to keep your ear to the ground for them all, see what names continue to pop up with regularity."

"Of course," Prophylaxis says with a shrug. "If Ainz Ooal Gown is responsible for chaos on both ends of the Waves, then it's in my best interest to deal with them as soon as possible. Besides..."

"If his underlings are responsible for targeting and harming children," the doctor rumbles, "We will need to have /words/."

(This may go badly for him)

"...Anyway, was there anything else? I'm willing to help if I can, as long as it's not... You know, 'proprietary information.'"

    Rizadoman listens and nods, " I will continue to gather information then. If you hear anything please pass it on. I would appreciate it. " Then RIzadoman takes a moment to finish his wine, " Yes , but funny you should mention proprietary information. I would like to send a member of my alliance to broker trade between Alne and Tolbana. Not to directly interact with the Scale Emblem Alliance, but to broker trade between the people of the land and form diplomatic relationships with them. I would also appreciate it if you may be willing to do the introductions for them. It's a tall favor I am asking I know. Especially considering other things." The lizardman hopes he doesn't have to spell out Giganpor directly.

He certainly does not. The doctor's gaze sharpens subtly at this latest topic of conversation. Then: "I'm sure you're aware that I'm not exactly in a position to unilaterally decide that kind of thing, nor am I prepared to provide specific protected access to New World Alliance personnel in such a way without knowing your intentions in this enterprise and what you might be willing to offer in exchange for officially sponsored diplomatic contact."

In other words: It's possible, but why, also what do we get out of this?

    Rizadoman laughs and nods as the doctor gets serious all of a sudden, a lich and its all light hearted and friendly theory crafting and information sharing. " Of course of course. Consider this the heads up to the meeting that is coming where such things would be talked about. " Taking a moment Rizadoman stretches and does his best to seem relaxed. " Someone asked in our alliance, what do the people want. We are questing to find the answer. The people of Alne and Tolbana are people, so we want to know what they want. If they want us to leave it to scale, thats fine if we hear it from their mouth. As we go and ask this to all of Yamato we would of course make this information available to Scale. As one of the Divine Dragons , I am sure you can see value in this. " Rizadoman now takes a breath and holds it probably a lot longer then he wishes, this would be the moment where it would come down to if this would work out or not.

Hey, the last time they let the NWA run rampant in the tower, /Giganpor/ happened. And while Prophylaxis is himself deeply concerned with the fate of the world below the tower, he realizes that it's a more... personal thing. This, though- this is business. "I see," Prophylaxis says, thoughtfully. "Information for information. I'm not certain I can give a clear-headed answer to this request at the moment, given..." He swishes the (now half-consumed) bottle of sake around to indicate what he means. "But on the face of it I think there is a way to come to terms. To start, I don't think my people would be comfortable letting an unvetted member of the NWA into such a position, and even if approved, they would probably need to have a minder. I'm a fairly trusting guy, I think, but given what happened the last time, I can't expect my fellows to have such confidence. As far as providing an introduction, I'd have to think about it. There are arguments to be made on either end of that one."

In other words, it's something he'd be willing to discuss and negotiate over, but it's not going to be as easy as 'bring some rando NWA person in and let them run around unsupervised.'

    Rizadoman nods his head, " I understand. Think on it, talk with others. I will let my side to hold off approaching you for now. Perhaps if we show information of value it will be easier to accept our terms. " Standing up slowly, " I do apologize but I must be heading out. I have a camping trip in the north east of the land to get to and its a long walk. " As Rizadoman walks towards the door he stops for a moment and shouts over his shoulder, " I hear the fishing is great. " With that said the lizardman heads out leaving the doctor with his bottle.
