Inn-ternal Matters

Vertina has always been a more physical, hands-on sort of person. It still holds true to this day, save sometimes in more literal ways. Like right now. using one of her fiery Salamander Godhand techniques to help heat up one of the copper brewing kettles. Never let anyone tell you that you can't find a way to work firebending into a proper profession. You've just got to find the right way to apply it to certain tasks. But that's just another days work around here.

Erufu had heard about this place as be ine one of the two really notable Adventuyre run eateries and so while the other is in her alliance? She's come on down to talk to the lady incharge of this one. She would fin her way inside and calls out. "Vertina? Are you around i'd like to talk business..."

Vertina glances up at hearing her name. "Give me one moment here!" Then ducks her head back down between her arms to breath a stroke of flame into the firepit and ignite it. Once that's going she lets go of the kettle and takes a few steps back. "There we go. Faster to heat it up with my fire manipulation, but the pit does a better job of keeping the temperature steady once it's there."

Erufu will fin a palce to sit and wit for Vertina to get finisehd up with what she does. "That is a nice perk the Salamander race has to be sure." The elf seem to be in a good mood as shw watches. "So I'm the owner of at eh soon to be opern Green Dragon Inn in Shiuba and I wanted a chance to talk shop with you. I'm far enough away I don't think we'd be a problem for wachother."

Vertina tilts her head at that. "Oh? Don't see many New Worlders come up here, I guess I should feel flattered." She takes a moment to make sure the lid is properly clamped on the kettle, then wanders over to where the Erufu has made herself comfortable. "Yeah, that's opposite ends of Yamato after all. And I specifically stick to brewing and simple tavern foods and appetizers to not conflict with the other places."

Erufu says "Oh I'm thinking that with more of a western lean to the food as well. So I also wanted to talk about suppliers if you know any good ones out there that I might wish to look into for getting stock. I should have all the dairy lined up thanks to a lander friend of mine."

Vertina ahs! "I have a few western style things we've managed to make similar to, but that's just because I'm use to dealing with tourists and we've got quite a few Westerners in this world. Nothing that would be considered an actual meal, but the cluck-cluck drummies are pretty popular." She gestures a hand back towards the big kettles she was heating. "This place is focused more on the brews, anyways, the food is just for comfort and convenience. And if people eat and drink at the same time it's less likely to -all- go mess with their head."

Erufu says "When are they not I also heard they are pretty big in the West too." She notes wiuth a fiant grin and she htink for a moment "Really maybe we could work out a deal for me to buy a few kegs of your brews to sell at my place? Truer my pkace is food drink and a place to sleep."

"Oh, that's a good idea, considering how far from other settlements Shibuya is. You probably have a lot of travellers that need a place to stay." Vertina nods her head in agreement, and smiles. "Certain we can work something out. And if you talk to the kitchen staff they can probably point you in the right direction for other supplies." She shrugs a little. "I'm a brewer, not a chef... but hey, it gives other people a steady job. Lot of Ezzo people that had no where else to go came here, after all. Helps get them back on their feet if they're not the adventuring sort."

Erufu Says "Right that's par tof why also the inn would be intown guarded and better thans leeping outside. AS dfoer bnrews if you want ot make a deal? I'd be happy to work out somehing that works for us both." the elf grins widely now. "Aye I was thinking much the same there's some folks who don't wnat to out and about anymore that we been taken to anotehr living breathing world."

"Yeah..." Vertina trailed off a moment as she looked up, as if looking at the floors of the tower above them somehow. "I know our Alliance doesn't have the best of reputations in certain matters of the world, but we're not heartless. Until we solve the Tower, or find another way for the people that want to go back to do so, they need safe places to stay, and something else useful to contribute if they don't want to fight. That's why establishments like this are important, in any city." She shrugs off the somber moment and grins. "And if having the tavern helped Tolbana prosper, I'm certain a well kept inn can do the same for Shibuya!"

Erufu says "Ever considere the Tower may be a Tomb of Horrors? A trap...or will let slip something terrible. The waves are ravaging the world worse and worse with each one." She shifts stopic and thinks for a moment as she moves to offer up a friend invite to Vertina. "So we can hammer out things later in more detail. I'm pretty sure it will go over well too there."
