Elf Only Inn

It's almost christmas and Elf has a gift for herself and the party. The Inn is almost finished it's actually just some fine interal details left and she's called over Shiruba ot talk in the main room. She's got a latern on the table and is leaning back legs up on the table, with a goofy grin on her face.

Shiruba pauses at the doorway to take a look over the room. "Things seem to have turned out pretty good in here." Then strolls over to the table. "The only thing you're missing is the people, and that's just a matter of time."

Erufu says "Got a few things left in the kitceh set up but everything is lined up now." A big goofy grin. "I have invited my grandfather, sister and her husband to come for the opening." Now there's a news flash there. "I think it will be good to have an formal home. Given the worst of winter is here, I should invite Cowgirl and Guild Girl to this too..."

By this point Shiruba has gotten use to the naming convention from the Goblin Slayer crew, but that second to the last one still makes her take pause after taking a seat. "... We're talking Cowgirl as in a girl that works with cows, and not a girl that is a cow, right?" She's just making sure. Cow Cait Sith and Were Fangs are entirely possible, after all.

Erufu says "She and her uncle run a dairy, they rent a room to Orcbalg." She nots with a grin "She's human, and a very kind person." She's a little jelous of certaint hing but she knows what that green eyed mosnter is. "I don't just want this to be a town for Adventurers you know."

Shiruba ahs. The name does make sense then. "Also explains why we don't see him tromping around cities at random." She leans forward on the table. "No, we want the town to be for -everyone-... though without some of the protections the Root Towns have yet, it's not as safe for a large number of Landers since they don't.... you know... like we do."

Erufu says "Maybe we can find a way about it we should hunt monsters nets in the area around here I think we can clear it out enough for it to be safe someday. Who knows maybe we'll be able to find someone who can give this place the same protection a Root Town has." She pauses and will pull some food out of her inventory. "Here if you want."

"That is on the rather long list of things we still have to do, yes. As it would also make the route between her and the Eastal capital safer." Shiruba sighs softly. "But with the Waves, and the Forgotten Army having become a big and in some cases personal matter for the Alliance, our ranks are already highly occupied." But any potential sulking is immeadiately forgotten when food is presented, and the wolfgirl snatches it before there's another thought on the matter.

Too many people are learning the fastest way to her compliance is through the stomach.

Erufu gets grim. "Scale is going to be the death of this world we we don't stop them in the end. We should focus on the Army and the waves first. Once the Army has been taken out we can move on ot other things. Oh speaking of things. Are you still willing to do some skill training together?"

Shiruba swallows hard so she's not talking with her mouth full. "At least with the Red Chain in motion now some of the pressure of Wave management will be distributed, and we mainly need to worry about fighting off whatever monstrousity or Otherworlder shenanigans come from them. And of course! I -do- have skills that aren't magic based, after all."

Erufu says "They have done some good work, hopefully it will help deal with the aftermath and we can focus on killing it. Well I'd like to work on my tracking a bit if you got the time once the Holidays are over?"

Shiruba jabs food with fork in one hand, while pointing a finger of the other at her companion. "That's perfect. I can teach you some of the techniques I've learned for better reading the environment. A good ranger always stays aware of their surroundings."

Erufu says "Aye and a fresh face such as yourself may have found something I missed or have forgot about centuries ago." She grins more mand will get some of the food for herself. "You know I have some 'training' exercises books around here somewhere." What is she plotting, why ... 'training' exercises. Or as one migth call it tabletop..

Shiruba tilts her head to one side to give Erufu a curious glance, while chewing down another mouthful of food. They made books of that sort here?

Yes, at that and not the age comments. She's already just accepted that some people have become their new identities that much.... honestly if it wasn't for the Silver Swords better suiting her methodology she probably would of been a Moon Tree as well.

Erufu just grins at this for a moment and she now gets some food. "What I'm an Elf, always have been." She notes as she takes a bite of her food. Maybe some people just take refuge in their character or maybe for some the Character is what hidden inside their whole life and the person they were before, was the mask...

"No, I mean the books," Shiruba clarifies after swallowing. "I didn't realize there were 'training excersize manuals'. Could be interesting..."

She has no idea what she's possibly getting into.

Erufu thinks for a moment. "Let's enjoy this meal and maybe I can sing a little bit after?"

Shiruba gives an agreeing nod, as she's already working on eating the rest of her meal. There is no seperating this wolf and food once she's got it.
