Of Mutual Interests

A delegation from Olympus requests a meeting with New World leadership to discuss issues of mutual import, especially in light of recent events.

Proteus
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

The Imp of Puzzles has come to Shibuya to meet with the New World Alliance. Effectively the head of Plant Hwydaen since Nureha has been dealing with... other issues, The Archaeologist has been working tirelessly to deal with various problems facing the world.

And that is the pretense by which that she's come here, asking to speak with those of the New World Alliance that would hear her out. 'We who believe in the World find it under threat both within and without. I would speak with you regarding causes, effects, and solutions.'

As she enters the building, she reaches up and pulls back her everpresent hood, revealing the Imp's face clearly in a rare display. Whatever she is to propose, she seems to be abandoning the usual enigmatic, shadowy pose she adopts most of the time. Once there, she waits patiently to see who of the New World Alliance would arrive to speak with her.
Merek
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Merek of course would take the time to meet with Proteus. There is a star which looks painted upon the cheek, and he wears a dark attire with a nice fox mask which he adjusts to the side. He will notice that the woman is there, and nods a little bit, "Merek, Master of Coin to the Trade Company." The man wears a belt that looks like a bandit strap, which adjusts to the waist a little.
Shiruba
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Shiruba is always happy to speak with others willing to help the world they have found themselves ... residing in. She refuses to say 'trapped' or such. Because it is anything but as far as she is concerned. Might or might not be related to what they're going to speak about. Depends on what Proteus has in mind.

When the Imp arrives with a lack of her usual shadowy pretenses the wolfgirl nods to her. "Hopefully your journey to our corner of the world was a reasonable one."
Rizadoman
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

The request for a meeting had been passed around and through the New World Alliance as the three or four were asked to meet. So here was Rizadoman awaiting the arrival of the Olympus members, moving to meet with Proteus , as she walk in. " Welcome to the New World Alliance Headquarters. Please have a seat, refreshments will be brought out shortly. Any particular beverage of choice?" He gestures towards the large dining room, with a table large enough to hold everyone and not make it feel like it was everyone versus Proteus.
Giganpor
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Giganpor sighs as he arrives to the meeting. Shaking his head. He was supposed to be done with this, but when someone requests leadership meeting? Well, he's still stuck with it. Bear's a busy man, after all.

"I hope you remember how to use zaisu at least." The smith says, with a laugh. "We have the dining area, Shiruba, or one of the meeting rooms. Take your pick."

Giganpor's presence might not be as welcome, and he's obviously watching Proteus as well. He's unarmored, and only has his buckler, too. Just his usual smithing outfit he uses in town.

"Your message spoke of something that seems to be of interest to both Olympus as well as New World?" He questions.
Proteus
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

There is a nod of greeting in response to Merek, a smile lighting on the Imp's lips. "Good to see you again, Merek."

Shiruba receives a nod as well, and she gestures. "It was no problem. I have matters well in hand at home for the moment. I really should make more of a habit of this, hmm? More interactions could only benefit us both."

Rizadoman is next, and Proteus nods to him. "A pleasure to see you as well, Rizadoman." Upon being invited, the Imp sits down at one of the zaisu, getting a chuckle as Giganpor asks if she remembers. "Tea will be fine." She replies.

Giganpor, of course, is greeted as well. "You're right. I'll explain everything here in a moment when we're all prepared."

It might seem a bit intimidating at first, considering it seems to be the leadership of most of the New World having come to the request of the Imp, but she seems determined enough to remain relaxed. Her purple eyes gleam as she remains focused on the situation at hand. She waits for everyone to arrange themselves how they like and get their own refreshments before Proteus folds her gloved hands. "Ladies and Gentlemen of the New World Alliance. Thank you for assenting to a meeting with me. You all know me by reputation, if not by having met me in person. I am Proteus, of Plant Hwyaden. In these matters I speak for at least my portion of the Olympus Alliance."

There is a pause. "Formalities aside, I told you that there were situations arising that are threatening the World that we have come to take as our home. Many of them stem from the same core issue. The Waves of Calamity are the most pertinent, but they are a symptom of the issue. The problem in this case would be... The Keys of Twilight. I trust you have all heard of them?"
Merek
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Merek looks then to Proteus, while he nods a bit to the woman, "Well. We know of them. I know there was one in Fragment, that was a conceptualized ideal. It's since been learned multiple exist within the world," he will note. The man adjusts the mask. He seems to know a lot about a lot of things, all the same, it looks like he will be listening while he watches. "Pleasure to see ya again."
Shiruba
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Shiruba gives Giganpor a bit of a look when he suggests she should choose a room. Don't act like she's the one in charge here just because she still has an active title. All the same. "The dining chamber is fine, unless our guest feels need to keep things more private." But seeing Proteus is already making herself comfortable in one of the zaisu, there's apparently no need to move, and Shiruba claims one for herself.

Only to frown a bit when the Keys and such are brought up. "I was on a different endeavor New Years... but I've heard of things happening and the Twilight Key and the Tower being mentioned... in -plurals-."
Rizadoman
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Rizadoman follows behind the others stopping for a moment to murmur the request back to a few of the alliance members running the kitchen today. The chimlink, is quite useful for such things. Taking his seat he settles in after a few moments of adjusting before looking at Proteus as she begins. The tea would be brought out as long as any other beverages that are the usual standing orders for the New world members. " I have heard the term once or twice, in passing. However I am not truly familiar with them. So I apologize as this may be recap for some but what are they? I can't imagine they are actual keys but the other day I saw a gem turn into a chess piece so you never know. "
Giganpor
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Giganpor looks thoughtful. He looks at Proteus carefully some more. Seeming to be in deep thought. Otherwise, he remains silent for a few moments. "They are not physical objects."

The gentle smith looks thoughtful, moving to take a seat once they are in the appropriate spots. He closes his eyes in obvious thought and leans on one knee, fist against his cheek. "They are like the new professions a lot of us have been getting in a way." He frowns a little.

Opening an eye, he looks at Proteus, "Suffice it to say, we know of them. As for us, I trust that you know of us at least. Rizadoman, Shiruba, Merek, and myself. As far as I have heard both from Merek and Kaydon, the Scale Emblem is stuck on the 10th floor boss."

Giganpor taps the table a few times with a finger. "You think they will try to find another Tower and Key?"
Proteus
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

"Correct. It looks like you all have been informed of the event that occurred in Alne at New Year's. So there are apparently multiple Towers, each with a Key of Twilight at the peak. Now, what is this Key, one might ask?"

Proteus spreads her hands. "It's possibility given form. With a Key of the Twilight, you can create a Fracture that will alter the state of the world. Perhaps one of them is what created the Apocalypse in the first place, but I doubt the source of it is anything so... straightforward." The Imp looks between each of them, nodding to Merek as he confirms what he knows. "In the end, however, there's something else that the Keys of Twilight are."

She shrugs. "Motivation. A carrot. The proverbial kibble dispensed for Pavlov's dog. What would one want to do if given the opportunity to effectively make a godlike command to the World and do as they see fit?" She shakes her head, and takes a sip of tea, letting them think about that. Her eyes closed, she speaks again. "There is an Alliance who knows precisely what they would do. It drives them. It is their motivation, their reason for existing. But in the process, each step they take brings chaos to the World. The Waves of Calamity are spawned when a floor boss is defeated. This is comfirmed by the very people who have been invading us. The act of destroying one of those Bosses gives them the energy they need to activate their Gate, and through it attack us. They spread destruction, disaster. Each one is an attempt to create an an actual apocalypse, an attempt to destroy us all so that we might never threaten them again. So says their prophecy... And they believe in that prophecy."

There is another sip. "Yes, Scale Emblem has been doing some small gestures towards helping to contain the problem, but this is more or less the equivalent of punching you in the face, and then helping you to clean up the blood afterwards. Each Wave is a threat to the World we chose to live in. Another attack on a place that we have enough problems trying to keep peaceful."

There is a flick of her gaze to Rizardoman as he mentions a gem. "A gem that became a chess piece..." She hums. "We might have to talk more about that later, Rizadoman. I've seen a similar phenomenon before."

She glances back to Giganpor, then. "You're correct. They are attempting to bring down the Boss of Floor 10. This is the gatekeeper, because he can only be defeated with a specific power, one they do not seem to have on hand at this time. If they can get it, they can breach that Floor... And little will be able to bar them at this point from ascending to the top and trying to claim the Key for themselves... And changing the World as they see fit."

Another meaningful pause. "... And what do you suppose will happen when they create their way home?"
Merek
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Merek looks between all the party, and will seem to think about it, "Proteus, of course we are informed about it. It was us that lifted the Quarantine, our alliance that is, well our actions." The man looks to the woman for a moment, "Human willpower, the Key of the Twilight, it would be the ability to put thought to form, will to power."
With that, he will nod a bit, "We can't afford to dance around secrets a lot like we used to. Anyway Proteus. Aye, they require Data Drain. A power I am offered by someone, in exchange for a task. They gave it to me to protect people. I imagine that when I am able to use it, they will want it used to take the Tower. It is clear that Helba thinks we are playing with something dangerous anyway."
Shiruba
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Shiruba puts a hand to her head to rub her brow as Proteus explains. "Their tunnel vision only looks to their way home, and not what it may do to this world in the process." She sighs, lowering her hand back down. "Or they believe once the way is found, the rest of us will change our minds about wanting not going home." A low grumbling growl escapes from her. "Even though many of us do not, or ever have reason to.... But at the same time, how do we oppose an entire Alliance? Especially when we're already spread trying to tend to the other problems facing us."

A brief sideways glance is given towards Giganpor. "Or attempts that had... unfortunate side effects."
Rizadoman
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

The lizardman lets his tea sit as he respectfully listens to Proteus, and then continues to sit there for another minute. Then he looks over at Merek and continues to listen but still he simply sits , his eyes resting on his cup of tea. Watching the steam rise for another moment or so he finally picks it up and sips it before putting it back down. He listens to Shiruba and thenn speaks up " They will attempt to use it. They will attempt to find their path to their home. This world be damned. A hole opened up may not be to the world they want, it may be the new apocalypse for both worlds. " His voice is serious as he laces his hand together and leans forward bracing his elbows on his knees and just continues to stare at the tea. Finally he looks at Proteus, " So you have come to us today to ask us to help stop them I assume?"
Giganpor
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Giganpor hms. He seems to be considering a lot. "The way I went was underhanded, but at the time was my best option. I had little else available in resources, and I wanted to avoid the alternative. I also wanted to buy us time." He shrugs.

Looking to Proteus, he seems to consider again. Sitting up, he sighs and looks to Merek, "I thought we were keeping that secret? Ah well." He looks to Proteus, "Yes, as Merek said, some of our members did cause the quarantine to be lifted. We do not know for sure what effects it had. I am told a voyage is being put together to see. In the mean time, others search here in Yamato to also see what is happening."

Giganpor looks more carefully at Proteus. Very carefully. Watching her almost like a hawk. "Proteus. What would you use a Key for?"
Proteus
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Proteus shrugs at Merek. "Yes, they require Data Drain. I would have been more explicit about it, but you seem to be as well informed as I am on the subject so I assumed you already knew. And I was right. You do know. I applaud your inquisitiveness." She smiles to Merek. "Though, someone has the ability to give you that power? I am curious as to the source, if you're willing to speak of it... And any information you have on Helba, I would appreciate."

Proteus nods and looks to Shiruba and Rizadoman. "Correct, both of you. Even presuming that they somehow don't destroy the World with their activation of the Key, the moment they get home the powers that be will seize upon the game servers, force us out, and then ensure that none ever hear or see of this place again. Scale Emblem, with our current knowledge of the situation, is an existential threat to both of the stated goals of our Alliances. After all, you require a World to live in it, and we require a World to carve a place for Adventurers out of it."

There is a shake of the Imp's head as Giganpor brings up that the role they played was supposed to be hidden. "It doesn't matter. I have problems convincing my own Alliance of these issues myself in many places. I do not blame you for it. It's simply people's own desires and actions resulting in it. I don't foresee a universal end to either of our Alliances getting involved in Tower Raids. None of us can really exercise that much control over notoriously independent people like Adventurers."

Shiruba asks the question, though: How does one oppose an entire Alliance? Proteus closes her eyes and steeples her fingers for a moment. "Indeed. This is a significant question. Especially an Alliance full of elite raiders. Mere force will not be enough... But we not only have two Alliances, but we have one other asset." Her eyes open. "We have the Landers. We have an entire World. They would abandon it? So let it abandon them in turn. We can speak to the nobles. Have Scale Emblem shunned. Barred from trade. Run out of towns. Let them see more and more the effects of their actions against the people. And then there is within the Tower. We can sabotage their train, of course, but we can also perhaps reintegrate the people of the Tower into the World, removing more and more of their supply chain and forcing them to a standsill to the point that any further pushing would result in calamitous losses. Adventurers do not have infinite lives, you know."

And then there is the question of what she would use the Key for. "... I wouldn't, if I had a choice." Proteus replies. "It seems entirely too disruptive to do so. However, if I did... I would use it to ensure that we would forever have a World... or perhaps many Worlds of our own, to live in and explore and grow with forever."
Merek
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

"Right, apologies. I only mention it so people are informed as well," Merek will note. When it's mentioned about secrets, "I think that it's known to people already, eventually it would be. That said, most people won't even consider it, they only know that there are new places to explore." Then he nods a bit to Proteus, "I want them to get home, but there are methods to World Transfer that don't require the Tower completion probably. Their method is trying to take the direct path. Helba is known as a Hacker from Fragment."
The man takes a look along to the party, and will nod a little bit, "... I don't know, who it is that offered me the power. In fact, I am pretty sure there is an outside force that is at play. And what do you mean they don't have infinite lives? While I agree, I would like to know what you do know about things." There's a look to Giganpor, and back to Proteus, "I already am working with that, if you could actually talk to your alliance about it. I run the Trade Company of the Guild, and I'm beginning to build farms of healing herbs, supplies for healers which will mean that we don't rely on SEA for that. That's my goal, we can't work on keeping SEA from doing what they're doing until we put independence back into Alliance."
Shiruba
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

"It's okay Merek. Seeing as everyone out that night noticed it happening, it's kind of hard to keep it a secret," Shiruba replies. "I am more concerned with keeping -where- it happened from getting widespread. That location... is dangerous to those who do not have the permission to be there." She shakes her head. "But I won't go into more detail than that." She gives a little nod. "They don't care if there are other options out there to find. They only focus on the one they've been present with. Carrot on a stick, as Proteus said."

She tilts her head, ears attentively perked as Proteus continues their answer to a much greater detail than she had expected. "You've spent a lot of time thinking on this, I take it." Her tail curls off to one side as she sighs softly. "As I've repeatedly said, we just don't have what would be needed to oppose the Scale Emblem directly. You're suggesting a more... subtle approach. But precautions will need to be made. If we're going to get Landers up against them, we need to keep them from becoming more casualties because of it."

She's already lost one close Lander friend, she'd rather not similar fate befall others.
Rizadoman
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Taking another deliberately long sip, Rizadoman slowly sets the cup down, as if the very slow movements will slow time giving him longer to think. " Multiple keys, multiple towers. Keys open locks, if there is a key there is a lock. " It was meant as an internal thought but it slipped out. It even takes a moment to realize he spoke aloud and then decides best to continue his thoughts. " We as an alliance have been discussing such topics truthfully. There is also always the other option of acquiring the keys from the other towers before them. " Taking another moment he considers what he would want from the key, and adds, " Though I fear any of us getting the keys, the temptation would be horribly tempting." His gaze falls back to the Imp, " Your alliance, I take it does not fully endorse this idea. " Looking about the table he does wonder how many of his own alliance mates would help, before he looks at Merek. " We can at least not provide them what they need for this key."
Giganpor
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Giganpor looks thoughtful, then starts to laugh. Just flat out laugh. And he doesn't calm down from it at all for a good minute. It's a full on laugh, too. Enough that some might see it as if Giganpor cracked somehow. His laughter is a healthy one, however, and he seems to be enjoying it as if it is good for him.

Finally, he calms down after a few seconds. "Bear, you crazy bastard. You knew all along." He sighs.

"Fine. Let's lay all the cards on the table. Proteus, you want to stop them then it will take more than just our Alliances. There are still those who favor trying to get home within both. Beyond that, you have to understand that most of the Guild leaders may be opposed to it as well." He states.

Looking around the table, he says simply, "I considered a lot of this. It'll go slow. Seriously, figuratively slow no matter what we do."

"In the mean time, there's something you didn't consider." He says. "We built ourselves up from the ground out here much like they do. The only thing that does is make them do like we have done here in Shibuya. They have to make their own resources, their own ways of doing things outside or inside the Tower. Cutting them off completely will be nearly impossible. Make it harder for them? Yes. Completely be without the resources they need? No."

"So, I will say something that Bear said to me." He says, looking at the others around once again.
Proteus
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Merek asks the most Merek question he could have asked of Proteus given his predilection for self-sacrifice. Proteus arches a brow. "I'm surprised you don't know already. When an Adventurer dies, they return to life... but not without cost. They lose something in the process. I can't precisely quantify what it is... But when it is gone, you lose much of the protections that allow you to survive. Perhaps you might remember the Adventurer that was transformed into an Undead? The one who was affected is one who had died many times. Cherish your life, Merek. It is important."

She inclines her head. "I would not be surprised if there were several outside powers. I have seen some hints of such myself, but I haven't been able to definitively nail them down. As for the rest... I will speak with our more mercantile members of Olympus and have them get in touch with you about the healing herbs."

Shiruba gets a nod. "Yes. There are many forms of warfare. And many forms of power. We can leverage all of it in order to deal with this. As we've seen with the exploits of the Landers, they are happy and willing to assist when needed. This is an existential threat to them as well as us. Once we can sketch it out, we could form some kind of formal counterforce that would move against Scale Emblem... or if nothing else, if they won't work against Scale, at least not help them. An embargo would be perfectly servicable... And I would not waste Lander lives. When it comes down to it, I would rather them be alive and well."

Rizadoman mentions attempting to get the other Keys. Proteus shrugs. "The first question would be: where are these other Towers? Beyond that, would clearing them also create more Waves? We hardly want to give the invaders /more/ opportunities. We have not, as far as I know, openly discussed what to do with the other Towers."

Giganpor laughs, and Proteus blinks, turning to look at the smith. "If it was up to me, I would send those who want to go home all to Scale. I don't have that influence, however. Plant Duck is more or less unified on the issue, at least. And you are right, it will be slow. But we have some time. And yes, we can't cut them off completely, but we can make them completely self-reliant. And if we do that, then when we sabotage those sources, it hurts /only/ them and those who support them."

She tilts her head, and asks, "So what did Bear say to you?"
Merek
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Merek thinks about it a little bit, "I knew that there might be a cost. Anyway, the question is what it will be, all that said... I also think that man was a PKer, not just killed a lot," he will note. The man nods a bit to Proteus, "Aye, I've already been working towards making it so they are self-reliant, while that will bring us to our own independence. I will bring the papers to Olympus about the plan to work on the farming in addition to production." The man takes a look along to Proteus, thinking about it, "I did need to ask you something. I was Data Drained by the boss, that brought me to a... White void of a world. I don't know what it was I saw when I was there. Would you know anything about that generally at all?" he asks.
Shiruba
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Shiruba glances over when Proteus brings up the Undead-turned Adventurer. And brings up something about the matter she didn't know. "... Huh." Cusps a hand to her chin thoughtfully. "That... would explain a few things, about it." Though does it mean those that were weakened enough to be converted are lost?

Then Giganpor bursts out laughing. It's abrupt enough to jerk Shiruba out of her thoughts, and nearly tipping over her seat. "... Okay, while it's good to see you in a better mood Giganpor... what the hell is that all about?"
Rizadoman
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Rizadoman looks at the others around the table and has to admit Proteus has a point on the matter. They had no idea where to start when it came to the other towers but in the end the problem was present. So he sits silent for the moment without much more to give. It is only when the laughing stops does his draw his attention from his tea cup, which since the lizardman had been staring at it most the night was a fascinating tea cup and waits for the answer to Proteus's question.
Gwen
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

It seems someone else the towering woman had been watching for a long while having gone in part to be muscle should her friend get jumped on the way here. She's bere armed folded listening for the last while. "Yeah it's quite the mess. I get how some want to go back if it's due to a lover or family but the rest. I don't get SEA's desire to burn everything to get out. It's like the damn clown in one of circlesofts old games." She notes and she looks btween those who are here. "For what it's worth I'm in to help and will pull what I can from my guild to do so. I think out acting guild master might be able to be brought on board same with someone whose setting up some serious businesses here. I do like the idea of using more soft power to sabotage SEA we also need to get off being dependant on them for anything from potions to gear. Doesn't the NWA have one of the biggest crafter guilds in Yamato on board?"
Giganpor
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Giganpor stands up, slowly. "The same thing I've been preparing because I knew people would be after me a bit."

He looks at the group again, shaking his head. "It's obvious, and it's unavoidable. That much I'm seeing. Do the plans you have. Set the stage. And prepare yourselves as well."

Giganpor turns to begin walking out, "As for what Bear said..." He pauses to look at the group, "If we are going to protect the Landers from the Waves that Scale Emblem causes, then we have to slam their faces into the ground ourselves!"

With that he moves to walk on out, "I've got armor to make. A lot of it and a lot more to try to get commissioned along with the gear we'll need to stand up to them."
Merek
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Merek then looks to Proteus, while he begins to undo his belt which he wears to lift it up. It looks like a bandit strap, "The gift from the Bandit King. An Item of Power."
Gwen
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Gwen thinks for a moment "If we go after the other keys, I will galdy help lead and my running with Scale has always been in part to keep an eye on what they are doing. I admit I want revenge on the floor ten boss for what it did to me but I might have to give up on that. As for SEA? I wonder if there's a way to contain people like us..."
Shiruba
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Shiruba watchs Giganpor depart, and then lets out a soft sigh. "He is right, you know. We can do everything to slow their progress and isolate their resources... but sooner or later they will realize it, and will come after the source of the disruptions." She turns to look to Proteus again. "But if we do pursue this course, we can make it on our terms instead of theirs. Be ready for it when the time comes instead of praying it doesn't come at all. It's like a wise old panda told me while training..."

"Hope for the best, prepare for the worst."
Rizadoman
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Rizadoman watches as Giganpor gives the answer that he had feared. The lizardman knew what type of person Bear was and it, it bothered him. He didn't wish to go to war , but so many lives were being lost to Scale's actions, it may be inevitable. "We will need to make sure our alliance is on board with everything, " Rizadoman says in response to Shiruba. " We will need to begin prepping for combat against other adventurers as well. " Looking at Proteus, Rizadoman lets out a heavy sigh, "O' harbinger of truth, you have brought blood to our doorstep. For that I do not know if I should thank you. However I will ask you two things. Is there any thing else you wish to share with us and what will you do? "
Proteus
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

"There's a lot to be said for that, Giganpor. In the end, the only thing that is going to stop them is direct confrontation. But there's nothing saying we can't do what we can to tip things in our favor beforehand. Good luck, Giganpor."

The Imp nods to Shiruba. "They will come after us. But we're going to prepare for it. You're right. This... is something of an Alliance of our own. Find out who among you are willing. Assemble and prepare. There might be three Alliances, but there are only two real choices in the end. I will do what I can. If you need assistance, call for me. I will answer."

Rizadoman gets a handwave. "I apologize for the inconvienience, but we're running out of time and space to ignore the problem. It's going too far. Don't thank me. I haven't done anything worth being thanked for. I will be changing that in the future. As for what I will do... I will be doing what I can to begin opening up discussions with the nobility as well as to put into motion plans to begin sabotaging them."

Merek asks him questions. Proteus blinks. "I haven't seen any kind of a white void of a world before. I couldn't tell you anything about that myself." There is a frown from the Imp. "But when I do, I will be sure to let you know." The belt gets a blink from Protues. "The Bandit King... I have some suspicions about him. He doesn't act on his own recognizance some times, and shows abilities that he shouldn't have on occasion."

Proteus then drains the teacup, and sets it aside. "Thank you all for your hospitality. I think this is the beginning of a new communal effort. Something we can bond together, a way to protect this World. We'll see what form and consequences come from it."
Shiruba
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

"There will be those that do not wish to fight Rizadoman, I know. But if we are to protect this world, that means from the dangers of other Adventurers, too." Then Shiruba frowns softly. "I... am not one familiar with PvP myself. I am a hunter of monsters, not people... but I guess that is going to need to change to some degree. I will have to talk to those I know that do understand such things better."

She knows at least one of them will likely agree to helping the matter, after all.
Merek
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

"I think you confirmed what I need to know about the Bandit King, thank you," Merek will note to Proteus. Well, interesting. The man takes a look about the place, "Alright, you all take care."
Gwen
Shibuya - NWA Headquarters - Mansion

Gwen says "If we need some skills I know a Marine whose stuck here." there's a bit of a grin on her face that's very out of place. "Shiruba does too." She looks to Proteus for a moment "Should we try to pull back as many as we can from aiding in the tower climb?" She looks to Shiruba for a moment "If you don't wnat to do that we can find other things to do. After all I'm just the goofy lady who shoves people into costums no?" She thinks again. "There's some personal things I need to look into maybe I can find some new way to help."

Rizadoman stands from his spot and looks towards Shiruba. " We will need to talk to the alliane, we need to know who is and who isn't on board. We can talk about the best approach for this another time. " Stepping towards Proteus and Gwen, " I appreciate you both coming out and talking to us about it. We will do what we can and I am sure we will be in touch. " He then puts on his metaphorical host hat, " Would you like me to walk you both out?"

Shiruba nods. "Rizadoman is right, Gwen. Let's focus on finding who is or isn't up to the matter and see what we have to work with, first. But thank you for coming to talk to us. Working together is already a large step towards improving our chances."
