Something smelled good in the camp anmd there was Gwen looming over a cooking fire with a big pot, with the return of water she had ome other food options. It was a Stew maybe? Or was it something else who knows but it smells good she's bend over stiring the pot and keeping an eye on it for the moment.

"We're princes of the universe o/~"

She's singing Queen at the moment it seems...

Shiruba was in her tent, using her Cartography skill to properly compose her mapwork with the recent discoveries. The location of the now flowing river, the overgrown forest where they had seen the unusual creatures, the view from atop the giant tree. Though that latter one had notes that were more estimates than exact measurements. Documenting everything was just proper expedition protocol.

But eventually the aroma reachs her, the wolven cait sith pausing to tilt her head and sniff at it. A few moments later she sticks her head out of her tent. "Oh, well that is to be expected." She ducks back in a moment to put her tools away, then strolls out and towards the brewing pot. "Well with how good that smells it certainly isn't a witch brew in that cauldron."

    Merek looks like he is assisting with building, a little bit away from where people are. He seems to be content to swing a forge hammer into the work, while he wears that dark attire he often does. Well, anything to keep the mind away from things while he watches the place.

Gwen says "I would never make such unless it was a drink but now i can't even do a basic cocktail anymore." Gwen notes as she keeps mixing the pot. "So I got some rice and a few other things so who wants some Curry tonight?" Gwen chirps out!

Shiruba laughs as she sits down on one of the rocks that had been dragged up to use for seating around the campfire. "Do you really need to ask me?"

    Merek will take a look about the place while he thinks, then he's making a way to the campfire while taking a little time to himself.

Gwen will go about getting some plate and serrinv it upt she'll look to Merke and set a plate down with a spoon and fork infront of him, trot off and deliver Shiruba own then she gets one for herself. "So heard you ahf some fun exploring but no Gold Farmer bots yet I take it?"

"Yet," Shiruba replies as she takes the plate, and sits back down. "We haven't seen -anybody-, Player or Lander, yet. Just animals.... and why people shouldn't go wandering off alone. Hi Merek. Working hard?"

    "Aye, I need to look into a few things. I think we found information on the Data Drain," Merek will note to Shiruba, while he nods a bit along to the woman, then a nod to Gwen while he takes that plate up to eat.

Gwen laughs. "You should hear what my dad and his buddies used to to back in the day to botters." She giggles at this as she now start to fig in. "Data drain huh?" A horrofic poower if there ever was one to her. Given she'd been a victem of it and it took something from her? She's still feeling violent and the worst thing is she doesn't know waht it took. "So what happened Shiruba?"

"The animals in this region are... weird." Shiruba pauses to think a moment. "You know how a platypus has a duck bill and a tail like a beaver?" She takes a bit of curry between explainations. "Like that. Like some diety had a bad day and just copy-pasted two animals together."

Gwen giggles "Or was bored, could hav ebeen playing with the spare part's bin. Or just someone on the dev team really liekd Avatar the Last Air Bender." She grins at this even wider for a moment and she nods. "So go on I have some idea of where this could be going...."

"We had to chase off a wolf-tiger, and the river we found was damed up by a bear-sized beaver," Shiruba continues to explain. "... And now I kinda wonder what those gorillas we had to drive from the camp were also part of."

    Merek nods a bit to the two while he thinks about that a little. "Alright, well. I don't know what we will learn," the man takes a look along the plate of food while he will gently eat from that.

Gwen says "I was out gathering when that attack happned and I'm sorry about it." She downs some of her foot. "If i'm being honesty this has been the best year of my life! Oh coffee!" She looks to Merek set her plate downa bd bolts to another part of the camp to get the coffe and returns!

"Oh good, you remembered the coffee." Shiruba is relieved at that. "Gwen, the new year has only started. Don't get too excited, there's still plenty more new things ahead of us!"

Gwen will hand out the cofree for a moment "I mean the last year sis." She notes and will make sure Merek has some coffee of his own. She woill get back to it. "so what were these creatures doing and how did oyu et us the water back?"

Shiruba ooohs. "Right... I mean, other than having to deal with the Undead and the Calamity Waves it's been quite an interesting turn of events. I won all those Peko Races! Thinking I might take up riding on more than a casual competing basis." She sips the coffee. "We had to knock apart some of the giant beaver-bear dam to get the water flowing again. Thankfully Cyrus had his magic cart so we could haul a bunch of water back."

Gwen says "You did it without Canadians along impressive." She laughs a bit at this. She drinks some more coffee. "Sounds like oyu had a lot of fun with it and Cyrus is someone always good to have at your back be it in combat or when your doing business." She notes befoe eatingf some more food "I think tommroiw we'll have bacon and beans..." She just grins at this. "Though I got to wonder about how the locals are going to react to us."

Shiruba sets her cleared plate aside. "But weird hybrid animals and dams aren't the only thing we found... Well, the only things we found, but not that we saw." Shiruba pulls a parchment out of her map case and unfurls it. "I've only got rough estimates because of the scouting position, but we may of found what is this region's Tower. Or something similar to it." She frowns at her own map. "But not much information on the land between us and there, yet. This region is -huge- compared to Yamato."

Gwen sits upa t this for a moment and humms for a moment "So we could have a local SEA to deal with?" She makes a face at this and will sip at he coffee some more "Well it makes sense it was the China server. I admit I have some concerns here I'd not want to go into right now hopefully i'm wrong about em. Also means we won't be able to fully recon it without leaving Yamato behind... for a long time. We need to get the gates working again."

Shiruba chews her lower lip for a moment. "Yeah. Eventually I'm going to have to head back to Yamato myself, to check up on Guild stuff and the Undead situation." Puffs her cheeks cutely in a huff. "Being in charge is a pain in the tail sometimes. But I gotta do what I gotta do, can't think of just myself in times like this."

Gwen says "Why do you think i'm not a guild officer?" She grins for a moment and will start serving some of the other people at the camp as the smell of dinner lures them out. "Yeah I would have to check up ons omething but Uta and Jaz are here and they tend to attract ... trouble. You know?"

Shiruba puts the map away... mostly so she can have another helping of curry. You know her and food. "That's an understatement."

Gwen grins "It's like leaving morrigan with no one to keep an eye ... on here. Oh god."

"But Kaydon and Arashi are here, so I'm not too worried about the Silver Swords not being able to handle escorting the expeditionary missions even if I'm not around at the time," Shiruba replies before digging into another helping of curry.

Gwen stares off back to Yamato what is her mother ... up to without Gwen keeping an eye on here. She nods to Shiruba nd goes back to her meal.

Meanwhile back in Yamto Morri gets out her sketch book in the Chainmail +1 and gets to work desgining...
