Meet the Landers: Roswaal L Mathers

Roswaal L Mathers' dining room awaits the presence of the Adventurer, Setsuna. He is welcomed into the Mansion by a blonde woman by the name of Frederica Baumann, who offers for him to follow her, reminding him of the proper etiquette when speaking to Roswaal. Instructing him to be proper, and show a keen mind and resolve.

Once inside, he's let in without this green eyed woman following him in. At the end of a long table sits the clownish mayor of the town of Rovia, joined there by his two maids; Rem and Ram. They are standing on either side of the mayor. Ram holding a saucer - into which the Mayor slowly places his tea cup. Rem just has her hands in front of her, watching Setsuna with a willful look.

"Hmmm~ Welcome to myYyy mansion." The strange man's voice flows strangely as he speaks. "Iiii~i assume you've brought your ceeerberus~?" The man immediately wishes to know.

    Setsuna was not sure what to expect when he arrived at the mayor's mansion. Not many landers had really paid much attention to the monsters that he usually had with him and times they do, well they just seemed to increase the distance at which they avoided the skeleton legged adventurer. His brain is still asking questions as Ms. Baumann leads him through the mansion and explains the rules and while he auto pilot approaching the table and stops a moment before he sits realizing he wasn't invited to yet. The voice of the mayor snaps hims out of his own thoughts, " Hello, it is a pleasure to be here. My cerberus ? Demon? Yes he should be here. " Looking about he realizes the cerberus puppy is at his feet and gives a loud whistle before some yips and barks are heard. Moment laters the cerberus puppy, Demon, runs through the doorway. "So , what can me and my puppy do for you Mayor?"

The Mayor motions his hand, suggesting Setsuna approach, while looking at the crimson eyed Cerberus pup. "Hmm-hmm! It looks like you've got a way with the monsterous. Eeee~eexellent! It is not often I find someone willing to take theeee~ee time to raise themmm."

Setsuna will notice however, that the Cerberus is being VERY frightful in its approach. Its tail tucking instantly between its legs, shaking and shivering upon approach.

"Hmmm~mm! Do you remember those creatures you fought recently?" The man then asks. "Thooo~ose do not belong here. I run a very safe town. Iiii~i can't have that. I need you to start clearing them out. I think that would be the staaa~aart to a fruu~uuitful cooperation between you and I." The mayor declares with a tone that suggests that Setsuna doesn't get to refuse this particular offer. And there's something about that smile that sends shivers down his spine.

    Setsuna begins to approach but notices the cerberus's reaction and casually does his best to position himself between the two. This only leads to the necromancer himself, feeling that shiver down the spine. Taking a deep breath, and glancing towards Rem and her sister maybe, either way if one was as strong as the other he realizes his position. Taking a breath he glances back to the Mayor, " If its monster removal you seek I am sure the Scale Emblem Alliance will be happy to take it on. I'm sure a simple message would have sufficed for us to look into the matter." It's not like the alliance wasn't in the mayors debt already, so Setsuna still didn't get his role in all this. However it seemed simple enough, but that smile, it was creepy.

"Hmmm~mm! I could. But I prefer to make my deals in person. And having someone with your skills will make these matters faaaa~aar better." Mathers remarks, "As I also need you to capture one of the beasts, and bring it back to my maaaa~aansion. Those creatures should not be behaving like thaaa~at around here." Suggesting that the Mayor is planning on doing some kind of physical investigation into the matter. Yet, isn't looking to leave this mansion for it. "Aaaa~i assume that you will have no complaints with working with me directly and being you~ur peoples' ambassador while dealing with Rovia?"

    Setsuna takes a look back to the three headed dog behind him checking that they are ok before tuning back to the mayor. " I don't think there would be any problem with that. Track down the remaining wolfgarms, drive them away from Rovia and bring one of them back for you to examine. " As long as the one being examined wasn't his cerberus, he couldn't find anything to problematic. " Will there be anything else we in Scale Emblem, can do for you or your town?"

"Hmmm, not for right now. This is a good... introduuu~uction." The man answers Setsuna, leaning back and picking back up his cup of something hot, and sets it to his lips, giving Setsuna an appraising look. There is a strange recognition in his eyes as he considers the man in front of him. There's just something about the way he looks at him. Or no... it's not just him. It's not just the Cerberus. It's Setsuna's... leg.

"Thaaa~at will be all."

    Setsuna happily accepts the dismall and gives a nod of his head, " It was my pleasure, Mayor Mathers. I look forward to a long and healthy relationship together. " With that he moves keeping the Cerberus near him and is frankly just happy to be leaving. He suddenly is very glad that the doctor and Amalthea had always dealt with him before. Not even that library was worth the way the Mayor looked at him.
