Tournament: Yuuki vs Setsuna

    Fukaziroh attends the MC's booth, checking in on the enchanted speaking device and the ... preparations she's made. She's all decked out in robes over a fancy dress today, since naturally she's here to hype the fight rather than to promote herself as a potential fighter. Besides, the contestants for today... the *last* thing she wants to do is make herself look like a target!

    Taking a deep breath, Fuka begins. "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages! Welcome to the second round of the Journey to the Eas!" She pitches her voice just so, as senseis taught her, and the crowd breaks into cheers and stomps. "This is sure to be a legendary fight!" she resumes as soon as the crowd's volume isn't so loud she'd be drowned out, and for the most part they quieten to allow her to continue. "We have here a classic tale of underdog and champion. Darkness and ... well, more darkness actually." She *was* going to say light, but couldn't quite bring herself to do so. She's trying to be fair and true! "On my left hand we have a relative newcomer. He made a fine showing in the first round, defeating a fellow guildmate to reach us today. Ladies and gentlemen, I present the Master Mage, the Wily Warlock, the Sinister Sorceror! SETSUNA of the Scale Emblem Alliance!"

    She pauses, lets the crowd cheer. And yes, Setsuna does get some cheers. He made quite a showing earlier. The cheers don't last too long though before Fuka rallies. "And his opponent, a foe so scary no one dared face her in the first round!" Okay that's a lie. Yuuki was given a bye, and surely some people would've eagerly faced her first. But it's an entertaining lie, at least in Fuka's opinion!

    "She needs no introduction, but I'm gonna do it anyways!" Fuka glances down at her notes, refreshing her dubious memory for names and titles. "Zekken, the Absolute Sword. The leader of the Sleeping Knights and founding leader of the Olympus Alliance. The reigning champion... YUUKI!"

    The cheers, predictably, are off the charts. Sorry Setsuna. Fuka tried!

    Setsuna is standing at his gate to enter the fighing ring as he hears his name and looks at his faihful companion, " Come on pups, it's time to go play the villians. " With a deep breath Setsuna and Demon, the Cerberus puppy, walk out to the field hands held in the air and takes his spot. Even has time to retrieve his dagger from his invenory and a little stretch as the long list of titles is read off for Yuuki. He is under no misunderstanding that he is not the crowd favorite, or even the hopeful underdog for this fight. He was meant to be another stepping stone across the river for Yuuki's tournament victory, however he sword he would surprise them all and show that sometimes that rock is really a crocodile just waiting for someone to step on him.

    As the cue for her entry comes, Yuuki makes her way out into the arena proper. She's in her usual combat outfit, the famous Absolute Sword for which she is nicknamed sheathed at her waist. Above her head she holds a large gaudy belt, which she is pumping up and down like a trophy as she turns to grin towards the various parts of the audience.

    Wait, they give out belts for this tournament!?

    No. No they do not. Yuuki just found the most over-the-top belt she could find in her inventory to use for a trophy.

    Yuuki returns the random belt to her inventory as she reaches her starting position. She gives a grin and a wave to her opponent, "Hey Setsuna! Hope you've been looking forward to this because I certainly have!"

    Fukaziroh watches the two fighters step out, wincing as the crowd makes their reaction to Setsuna. She's got nothing against him, but this just doesn't seem fair. Then again, it's Yuuki he's facing. That's probably even less fair! She's glad to see Yuuki being friendly to him though. Just because they're opponents is no reason to be nasty to each other right? No, it's all a matter of the duel.

    Reaching down, Fuka comes up with her props for instant replay. A pair of adorable plushies, one of each fighter from the tournament collection. She sets them out facing one another. Well okay, one's more adorable than the other, at least in her opinion. Neither is nearly scary enough though, she figures.

    "Fighters, at your ready." Fukaziroh calls out, gesturing (without the plushies) for the audience to settle down. They don't, of course. They just scream. "Get set!" Fuka calls, trying to be overheard. It isn't easy, despite the charmed announcer equipment. So she raises her hands, gesturing while she speaks. "Three, two, one... FIGHT!" she shrieks the last word, bringing her hands down together in an unmistakeable gesture.

    Setsuna looks at Yuuki as he gets ready, the countdown already beginning. The Cerberus puppy spreads out a little but doesn't exit the ring, apparently intending to fight as well. " Yuuki , I just want to say before we begin. I am sorry. "With that said the countdown finishes and the call to start begins and the Necromancer doesn't wait. Demon launches a ball of dark energy to cloud Yuuki's vision while Setsuna he slashes he air with his dagger sending two waves of dark energy at Yuuki, which would look like a pair of claw marks if they hit.

    Yuuki doesn't fail to notice the hell doggo moving around a little. It wouldn't be the first time she's had to fight adds in a duel. But she keeps her eyes on Setsuna, simply maintaining her grin as he apologizes for something. Yuuki replies, "It's okay. I forgive you!" She doesn't know exactly what Setsuna is apologizing for, but as far as she's concerned as long as it's all for the purpose of winning, it's fine! The duel wouldn't be nearly as fun if everyone didn't use everything they had!

    Yuuki draws her sword and settles down into a combat stance as the count quickly closes to its end. Soon enough, the duel starts.

    Fwoosh! Yuuki is already off and running the moment Fukaziroh's hand goes down. There's a puff of dust behind her as she displays that famous Yuuki speed. She's not on a direct course for Setsuna though, choosing to circle around as she plays it a liiiiittle safe to begin with. Good thing too, as she suddenly finds darkness streaking towards her. Yuuki finds her vision severely limited by the spell. But she keeps on the move!

    The first of Setsuna's dark energy waves misses Yuuki, but the second strikes, cutting lines of red into her. Setsuna successfully draws first blood-light!

    But Yuuki doesn't let that bother her as she closes in, fast as usual. She quickly reaches Setsuna and launches into strike so fast it's difficult to keep track of!

    "The battle begins!" calls Fuka, likely lost in the sounds of screaming and cheering. "The champ circles around with amazing speed, but she's not faster than magic! Setsuna casts quickly and ... oh that's nasty! I don't think she saw that coming!" She sends her Yuuki plushie spinning around in what she seems to think represents what's going on in the black cloud, then staggering from the Dark Claw hit. The plushie is almost as quick to recover as Yuuki is however, and she brings it in to engage the Setsuna figure, 'swinging' wildly. "A strike! But I think the magic's still affecting her, and Scale's necromancer seems barely phased!"

    With Yuuki coming at him, Setsuna wasn't sure what to expect. This was the first time he really paid attention to Yuuki fighting. He wasn't sure what to expect so he to played it safe as an aura of darkness wraps around him, like something you see on a Shonen. Even more like what you would see in a shonen, with a particular name, Yuuki's attack passes right through and Setsuna's voice can be heard behind her. "It appears the champion can not even hit me! Some great protector she is!" Obviously he is not addressing Yuuki but the crowd, there is sign of strain though that Yuuki may notice. For the fight just starting Setsuna is already sweating a lot . " Now then lets see how the people's champion handles monsters. " With a stomp on the ground and punching his fist into the air two skeletons minions rise from the ground as one of them charges Yuuki head on, the other stays close to the summoner.

    Yuuki skids to a halt after her initial miss. She doesn't seem too bothered though, primarily because it wasn't intended to be a hard blow. But just to test Setsuna's defenses and keep him on his toes. And judging by the smile on her face, she seems to think she's doing just that.

    Though as Setsuna speaks to the crowd, Yuuki pffffts in response, "I'm not a protector. I'm DPS!" She punctuates this by quickly going after the two summons. A soft aura of light appears around Yuuki as she seems to move even faster, easily spinning out of the way of the first one's attack and unleashing a rapid counterattack in response.

    Yuuki then dashes off towards the second. Closing in, she drops beneath its strikes, skidding across the ground as her sword slashes upwards to try and cut through it.

    Yuuki then pushes herself up out of her skid and onto her feet once more, just in time to unleash more rapid strikes towards Setsuna. Though this time her blade appears to be glowing a sickly green.

    Fukaziroh winces, and it's not because of the damage being done on the battleground. She's not at all sure of the wisdom of taunting The Champ, even if he does seem to have momentarily gained a slight advantage. "She's pretty good at handling monsters actually." Fuka notes, letting a bit of snark escape despite her best intentions.

    She grins as Yuuki responds, and dances between the summons with easy grace. "The champ easily deals with the monsters and presses the attack. Setsuna might end up regretting the challenge he just put out!" she says. She considers just how to represent Yuuki beating on summoned monsters, finally settling for using her off-hand to represent Yuuki-plushie barreling on through.

    Setsuna is winded, that technique was one of those his body couldn't keep up with. However it kept Setsuna from taking the attack. Now then he could begin operation 'Make Yuuki Mad' or MYM for short. An angered mind is a clouded mind after all. As he watches his minion get sliced in half and he glowing green blade come at him he grabs the other minion and uses it as a shield absorbing most of the physical blow. However it doesn't stop that green glow from infecting him as he is poisoned. Such a dirty move. " I mean you're not even doing that great a job at that."

    With Yuuki's attack momentarily halted his eyes glow with magic as he looks for weak points in Yuuki's stance and armor before launching another couple of waves of dark energy as he tries his best to get back to range again.

    Yuuki blinks for a moment. Then lets out a short laugh, "I've dueled a lot of people! As far as taunts go, that's probably in the top ten of most common. Come on, be more original!"

    As Setsuna tries to gain range on her, using another pair of dark energy waves to try it, Yuuki doesn't try to dodge them this time. Instead she charges straight for Setsuna, heading right towards the attack.

    Then, it a quick pair of movements, Yuuki brings her blade up to cleave through the waves! They are cut through the middle beginning to sizzle out to either side of Yuuki. But they still manages to catch her on the edge, causing a little damage.

    Yuuki finishes her closing in, looking to bring another rapid series of strikes in against Setsuna!

    Actually Fuka's rather surprised Setsuna is doing as well as he is, but supposes it's possible that this kind of trickery is the sort of thing Yuuki's actually weak against. She's all for the fight being extra-exciting though, and not at all upset at the current state of the fight. She's enough of a fan of a good online battle system to be hyped over a good fight more than she'd cheer for any one team.

    "The two fighters exchange trash talk instead of weapons and spells. Interesting strategy!" Fuka snarks again, though slightly less-biased this time. "Ah there we go. Dark magic flies and Yuuki charges through the artes, cutting them down with her sword! That sword can cut anything it seems!" she cries, not even entirely exaggerating her opinion. "She seems to barely feel the effects! Is this all a part of Setsuna's sinister strategy?"

    Setsuna had felt the shockwave of his attack being cleaved in two and the rubble it picked up in the process wasn't helpful either. With the incoming barrage of attacks coming in , he tries his best to raise the shadow aura around him once again but barely gets a coat of dark energy, instead having to make due as he does his best to run away. It was all a matter of playing keep away. Fortunately there is a smile on his face, " I don't know at the end of the day it got you to chase me. You'd be surprised how hard it is to get cute girls to do that. " Did Setsuna just switch to flirting? Possibly or possibly it was Setsuna's attempt at distraction while he resummons the skeleton minions. Just like before one moves to Setsuna the other moves to attack Yuuki, however the attacker this time has a slithering surprise waiting to strike the moment they are in range.

    Yuuki awwwwwws, "Don't feel too bad. I'm sure there's someone out there who likes you! Skeleton leg and all." Denied!

    More skeletons! Yuuki is okay with this. It's a fun feeling, slicing through them. Another soft aura of light appears around Yuuki as she once more speeds up, zipping her way around the attacks of the attacking skeleton and unleashing her own strike back into it. However, before it vanishes into pixels, its snekfrend slithers out to bite Yuuki on the ankle.

    "Ouch!" Yuuki stamps on the snake, causing it to disperse too. But she's already poisoned. Sneaky!

    "Oh right, I forgot! On that note..." Yuuki's already dark blade turns completely black, the utter darkness beginning to spread out, increasing the weapon's size as Yuuki settles down into an attack stance, "Uta told me to stab you really really hard for her. And that she says hi!"

    Yuuki bursts forward with a puff of dust, leveraging the speed from her Sonic Acceleration to rapidly close the distance towards Setsuna and his minion. She then stabs the large, dark blade towards the skeleton with enough force to potentially pierce through and to hit Setsuna too!

    Yuuki then finally adds, "Oh! And to also pick up a bag of kibbles for the slimes on your way back from the tournament."

    Fuka's momentarily startled as Setsuna pulls off a rather unexpectedly flirty line. It's something she herself would do in battle! It even makes her giggle, and at least for a moment appreciate the jerk a bit. Fortunately the giggle isn't loud enough to be broadcast to the entire audience, and her amused grin is covered by her sleeve, so she might just look scandalized instead.

    "Setsuna's magical defenses are holding, *for now*" Fuka says after a moment's pause to collect herself. She even forgets her plushies. "But I think he's taken a blow to the head! Not for calling Yuuki cute because she certainly is, but for thinking that this will score him any points! In the duel or out of it! The champ rejects him with her usual fierceness. Well at least he's still summoning undead, so he needn't worry about being eternally alone!"

    "Still, Setsuna's words do seem to bring the girls in close. Or one girl at least!" Fuka cries, the words rattling off almost as quickly as the Champ's sword blows. "She's forgotten to dodge in her... fury? Or her eagerness to get to him! Still she doesn't seem so upset really. Possibly confused! Is this all a cunning plan? If so, whose?"

    Setsuna couldn't quite track the sword, partly because somehow his boss was giving him directions through his opponent. Also apparently his boss wanted his opponent to stab him. No love at all. As his eyes try to track the blade of nothing , there is a problem really he can't see it. He can only see the outline of the blade where light starts again. He can do nothing else as he pushes his body to once again and run away from the blade as he sends more dark waves of energy at Yuuki. Giving a look to the Cerberus who has been standing there looking innocent Setsuna gives a quick headshake and just does his best to stay mobile for now. " Fortunately for me, I am a horrible employee so I can't really allow that first..." Setsuna trails off as he has to momentarily stop for just a moment and coughs. His lungs were burning and he needed to shut his mouth and focus on breathing through his nose.

    Yuuki doesn't try to slice through these waves again. Doing it the first time was risky enough given the difficulty of the move. This time she just resorts to her standard defense...

    DODGE

    Yuuki leaps into the air! She twists her body to the side, allowing the first of the waves to pass under her, then the second over her.

    Yuuki lands in a low crouch, her large sword of light-sucking darkness held out to the side. She looks up at Setsuna, saying, "I'm okay with that, as long as you don't let the poor slimes suffer from starvation!"

    Yuuki then leaps forward towards Setsuna! She brings her large blade up and around in a wide upward-diagonal sweep for a first strike. But after the swing, she lets the momentum spin her around as she brings the blade up behind her head, over, then down towards Setsuna for a second strike from above!

    Fuka can't really follow the whole thing going on about Uta and stabbing and kibble. She's *fairly* sure Yuuki didn't just threaten to stab Uta though so so far she's fine with it. "Sword and sorcery are so far well-matched, at least if I read battle damage correctly. But it's never the first blows that tell the tale! It'll be the last blow that wins the fight!" Fuka claims sagely.

    Well okay, it's hardly her most profound statement. It sounds wise at least though, right?

    "And it looks like Yuu's going in for the win, or at least to try for it. NAISU DODGE! Yuu slips through!" Fukaziroh cheers excitedly. Not that she actually thinks the fight's going to end. This is batle-hype... or is it? Maybe her professionalism and impartiality's slipping. Possibly signalled by the nickname slipping in as well. Setsuna hasn't earned one of those yet, which is a shame.

    Setsuna catches his breath more as that blade of nothing continues to come at him. He really is doing everything in his damn power to avoid that thing. Dodge, dodge, doge, fake illusion, dodge dodge. Setsuna is sweating buckets now and really regrets not putting something into his physical stats. " I won't.. forget the? kibble." If only they could stop just for a moment for a drink of water, maybe a nap. More waves of darkness from Setsuna while he does his best to catch his breath.

    Yuuki appears to be unrelenting! She brings her blade of existential void up into the path of those two waves. It's not quite the same as cutting through them, but the sheer darkness of her weapon seems to disrupt the darkness of the waves, shielding Yuuki from the attacks.

    She's fighting darkness with darkness!

    After the waves have been disrupted, Yuuki continues her heavy assault against Setsuna. She spins, swinging the void blade in one horizontal strike. At the same time she pirouettes on one foot, keeping up her momentum with the other, to quickly bring the blade around for a second quick follow up blow!

    "And the blade stabs the necromancer through the heart!!!" cries Fukaziroh. Then abruptly she frowns. "Wait no, he's over there. YUU HIT THE WRONG ONE!"

    She pauses to mop her brow. This is remarkably exciting, it is. Fuka takes a breath, then resumes her machine-gun chatter. "This seems to be taking a toll on Setsuna, but the spell damage is racking up on our champion as well! Setsuna may be able to pull off an upset if he doesn't run out of stamina first! But Yuuki seems determined to end this quickly without waiting for such an end. WHO WILL FALL FIRST? If I wasn't here watching this with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe they're both still standing! Wait, maybe it IS an illusion!"

    You know what Setsuna really needs, his inhaler. That one back in the other world, in his coat pocket that he rarely ever needed except for those rare times he was convinced to go play something like soccer. Yeah that sounds, oh crap more of the sword that wants to cut off Setsuna's head. Setsuna can only activate more dodging as he continues to dance away while he looks at the bones behinds them. "Arise!" Clenching his fist he calls back those skeletons and tries to have one them hit Yuuki from behind. The other is absolutely going to be sword fodder in a moment, there was no use trying to hide it at this point.

    Yuuki appears to be really pressing the attack! So much so that she's choosing to ignore defense completely!

    The skeleton that comes up on Yuuki from behind is completely ignored, giving it free reign to give Yuuki a good whack to the back. The reigning Champ's rear is covered by a long streak of red and her HP bar goes down a chunk.

    Even if she is ignoring defense though, the poor skeleton in front doesn't similarly get a strike in. By sheer virtue of the fact that Yuuki's assault INTESIFIES even more! She unleashes another pair of heavy strikes for what is the fourth round of Void Blade. DOES THAT SWORD ARTE EVER END?

    Yes, yes it does. It finally disperses, reverting Yuuki's sword back to its normal, smaller size and only somewhat dark colour.

    At which point Yuuki quickly and fluidly switches track, unleashing a rapid series of blows!

    "Dead Sorceror... I mean Dread Sorceror Setsuna continues to summon undead. Just how many people have died on these grounds anyways!" demands Fukaziroh in mock outrage. "But will the Champ be the next? Not if she can help it!"

    "Yuu takes another cowardly hit because the necromancer won't face her himself, while his illusions continue to keep him safe. Nominally!" Fukaziroh claims. She picks up her plushies once again, finally, and starts chasing the Setsuna one around with Yuuki's littler duplicate. It's not a flattering representation of either combatant, considering she's exaggerating Setsuna's running away and Yuuki's flailing efforts to catch up. It's cute though, and that's what counts.

    Setsuna was trying to get away as he throws his minion fodder into he sword and the bones of the minion fly everywhere and trips the necromancer. He is falling and in a mere blink he is gone. Completely from infront of Yuuki. On the oherside of he field is a very exhaused Setsuna. " I am over here." It's all he says, somewhere along the way he must have dropped any arrogance or bravado or anything like that. " Now then let me help you make use of that big metal lightning rod. " With a whistle the Cerberus dog releases a small bolt of lightning, which is rusty and ameteurish and normally wouldn't do much if one wasn't holding a giant metal object.

    Yuuki blinks when Setsuna Blinks. She looks around for a moment, only to turn around as Setsuna speaks up.

    The Champ is breathing somewhat heavily after that sustained assault, choosing not to immediately charge in again. Instead she starts casually walking towards Setsuna, saying, "I'm rather impressed. I just threw more damage in a short amount of time than I think any other opponent I've ever faced in the past has had to endure. Post-apocalypse, of course. And yet you're still doing well!"

    Setsuna's trust guard hound acts, releasing a bolt of lightning towards Yuuki. The Champ responds by spinning her sword around into a reverse grip and kneels down to stab the blade into the ground. The lightning bolt hits it, before the energy discharges harmlessly into the ground.

    Lightning rod working as intended!

    Yuuki stands once more, continuing to make her way towards Setsuna, "My finely tuned duelist senses tell me that... This is still anyone's fight!"

    Yuuki charges once more! But once she closes to Setsuna she doesn't launch into a quick series of strikes, this time it's just one. Towards the Necromancer's gut. To apply a bleed affect. And by some surprise, it seems that the Absolute Sword has stored a small amount of the charge from the lightning bolt, discharging it into Setsuna too!

Heetsuna had found a moment to center himself and catch his breath, " You know someone out there is real upset at me. I don't think many people expected me to last more then three minutes witth you. However if here is one thing I am good at , it's a good ole fashion game of keep away. " Looking at his dagger for a moment he starts running, at the champ. " Now for another game I am good at, lawn darts!" Leaping up and to the side so he can roll in the opposite direction he throws his dagger at Yuuki's shadow. Moments later Yuuki would nottice the status debuff, ~SLOW~. As Setsuna hits the ground and rolls he uses his hands to launch two dark waves of energy. It absolutetly did not look like that one guy from 'Road Fighter' using his sonic boom technique though. The necromancer doesn't stop though as he summons a skeleton snake to follow behind and go attack Yuuki. " Now then lets stop messing around."

    "And Setsuna runs away again! Or blinks away. Cunning play!" Fukaziroh admits, almost reluctantly. She has a great deal of respect for cunning combat strategies... and she tried them on Yuuki once, pre-apocalypse. Lost horribly though. Setsuna's doing far better than she did.

    "His hellhound fires lightning at the champ!" Huh, that's odd. Lightning? Shouldn't it be fire? Oh well. Fuka shrugs. "And Yuu grounds it, oooh nice! She charges at her seemingly exhausted foe! He's struck, but shrugs it off, and launches a barrage of artes! Not that exhausted yet it seems!"

    Oh no, Slow! A speedster's worst enemy!

    Indeed, Yuuki finds her usually fast movements severely halted! She's not going to be able to dodge in this situation! She has to resort to other efforts...

    But her other efforts prove just as slow!

    Yuuki tries to intercept the dark waves and snake strike with her sword. But a couple of them still manage to get through and cut a BIG chunk out of Yuuki's HP. Yuuki can't let this keep up!

    "Nice one! And don't worry about those people. They clearly don't know anything about being a duelist! It's easy to just sit back and make comments like that while watching. But actually getting in here is a whole other experience! You use everything in your power to overcome the challenges of your opponent. You might no always win... But as long as you give it your all, then you can walk away with your head held high!"

    Activating one of her custom sword artes, a dark wind forms around her sword and moves up her arm to engulf her. The speed boost provided allows her to break the Slow! Charging towards Setsuna once more, she launches into yet ANOTHER series of rapid strikes!

    It's like the only thing Yuuki is good at is stabbing things!

    Setsuna sees the wind form around Yuuki's around and knows what it is now. " At the end of the day the landers will petition that I cheated saying you should have won. For I am Scale and you are not. " Setsuna says to respond to Yuuki's comment but that doesn't seem to stop him, letting the dark energy coat his body allowing him to parry and dodge the blade without running. He still needed to catch that breath of his, but he was finding his calm. In the middle of all the dodging he gives a strong whistle. Moments later one of the Cerberus head's spouts forth a magical ball of darkness to blind Yuuki just like in the beginning of the fight. This is all followed up by Setsuna's apparent signature move where he slashes the air and sends those waves of darkness at Yuuki to claw away at her hp once more.

    "Setsuna pins Yuuki's shadow, OH NO!" cries Fukaziroh, entirely caught up in what's happening "And the hits rain in on her. She defends, but she's struck from all sides! I don't know how she manages to endure it. But we may be seeing an upset, I don't believe it!" Fuka rattles on, having her Yuuki plushie stagger and drop, only to desperately rise once more and ...

    Fuka pauses, looking hurt. "HEY! It isn't easy just sitting here and make comments! I'm not sitting back I'm on the edge of my seat!"

    Then she realizes that, quite possibly, Yuuki meant OTHER people. This is the problem when your mouth sometimes runs faster than your brain. Sometimes you say something foolish. She ahems, blushing. "I mean, we're all on the edge of our seats here! Come on champ, show us that fighting spirit! This is a heck of a fight, and no petition could possibly change that!"

    "Hey! If anyone accuses you of cheating they're going to get a stabbing from me!" Yuuki nods firmly. She won't have anyone disrespecting her opponent like that. It's a disrespect to her too!

    The guard hound gets off that ball of darkness again. There's nothing Yuuki can do about it! She'll just have to keep moving and hope that by sheer luck she manages to avoid the incoming attacks.

    Yuuki's luck sucks. Even with the speed boost provided by the soft aura of light that forms around her, she still takes both darkness waves direct on, knocking another big chunk off her HP. It loiters down just slivers from the red! Not enough to call the fight yet, but damn close. It's not looking good for the Champ!

    Regardless, Yuuki is still looking pretty happy with that smile on her face as the blindness debuff ends and she charges in towards Setsuna for yet more of those rapid strikes!

    Setsuna watches Yuuki come at him with the blade trying those rapid strikes again and how does Setsuna respond he disappears and appears out of Yuuki's shadow behind her with a snake in his hand. " I appreciate that, and again I am sorry. " With that the snake strikes out at the back of Yuuki's neck. Was it a dirty move, yes. Would Setsuna do it again, only anotther two more times. " I'll try to take the title for you so at least this is just seen as passing the torch. "

    Yuuki reacts quickly enough to leap away from the snake in an attempt to avoid the bite! She's mostly successful, the snake only managing to juuuust scrapes a fang over her arm.

    Unfortunately that's enough for the poison DOT to apply.

    Yuuki lands after her leap, her eyes darting to look at her HP bar.

    DUEL END!

    Yuuki visibly relaxes, "Phew!" She proceeds to sheathe her sword and grins at Setsuna, "Grats! That was a hell of a fight!" She holds a hand out for the Necromancer to shake.

    Fukaziroh sees Yuuki's health bar fading and... more importantly, sees that Yuuki doesn't have anything left to answer Setsuna's attacks. She's still fighting, but she's trying nothing different. While Setsuna seems to have figured out his strategies and his hits are coming stronger and faster, the champ is gamely trying but failing to land effective attacks.

    Still, Fuka's breath catches. "There it is!" she shrieks, pointing a plushie-filled hand at Yuuki. "THERE is that fighting spirit!"

    Indeed, Yuuki's smiling, still attacking, still fighting with her whole heart and even willing to defend her opponent from anyone who would unfairly malign him. Fukaziroh wipes away a tear, though she's grinning at the display. She doesn't even call out the cowardly dirty mean-spirited move Setsuna uses to finish the fight. Possibly because she doesn't want to be stabbed when Yuuki gets back up.

    "And the champ has fallen! Yuuki has fallen! SETSUNA WINS!" Fukaziroh roars, tears beginning to stream. Not tears of sorrow, but of pride. Even losing, Yuuki went out doing what she loved with her whole heart, and for Fukaziroh there's nothing better than that.

    The crowd is yelling, screaming, cheering and booing. Fuka lets them, but only for so long as it takes her to compose herself. "HEY!" she yells. "Setsu has earned your applause! Let's hear it for the Nasty Necromancer! The Sinister Sorceror! Others will follow, each determined to take him down, but this day, he's your VICTOR!"

    Setsuna looks at the crowd and then at Yuuki, taking a moment he then bows to yuuki. " It was a honor to fight you. I am glad I was able to give you such a good fight. I look forward to next time. " With that and a whistle Setsuna calls Demon to him and they both exit by the gate they came in. the moment they are out of sight , Setsuna collapses to the ground. " Demon my friend, I think when all this is over I need to get in shape. Now then I am just gonna lay here in this tunnel for a while, you just stay there and don't eat anyone. "
