Wisteria vs Arashi

The arena at Eas that was put together for the tournament has a ton of Landers and Adventurers that have gathered for the next fight. At the sidelines, Syx has set up a table, and sitting along with him is a Lander.

"Hello I am Bobson Dugnutt, and I am here to bring you the next fight in the tournament!"

Syx, still sitting next to the guy, is just staring at him, "That's gotta be a mistranslation, right?" He asks to nobody in particular, as he once again checks his inspect on Bobson. The lander turns to him, "So Syx, I see in my notes here you are a professional wrestler. What does that mean?" Syx seems surprised by the answer, "Oh uh. It means I get paid to fight people. But you know, this tournament is full of some of the craziest fighters I've ever seen in my life. And right now we've got two of them coming to do battle!"

"First we've got a fighter who did spectacular in last year's tourney, despite not having any real PvP experience. The only loss she faced was against the eventual tournament winner, and that fight was so close you needed an electron microscope to see the winner! The Shard Seeker herself, Arashi!"

Bobson looks towards Arashi's side of the entrance, as Syx continues to go onto his introduction, "But you can't discount her opponent, Bobson. She's the Bunny of Fury! The white death! Another tournament veteran! It's Wisteria!"

    The Kauchemar-described pwny doesn't really care much for fanfare or grandeur. She's just here to test herself against other fighters. Truth be told, if asked why she doesn't do PVP? 'Waste of time'. The tournament was practice, and she did -really- well last time so... why not try again? What's the worst that could happen? You're not supposed to kill anyone, so... cool. Her opinions on PKers would not be rated PG if asked about it.

    Even with not really caring about having fans, it is clear she earned some last year due to her performance, especially the nailbiter with Yuuki. It earns those cheering a wave, at least, but aside from that, she is a symbol of focus, waiting for Wisteria to enter and for the contest to begin.

    Wisteria is wearing dark samurai style armor, dark smoke drifting up from the edges of the plates. The tall albino girl steps out holding up her hands. She's done this a few times and she doesn't mind the spotlight. You have to get use to it eventually when you're at the national level of sports competition. She then gives a bow to Syx as the MC and then another bow to Arashi before she takes up her position resting her hand on her sword. The smile she gives to the other girl isn't friendly so much as a display of teeth and intimidation.

"Alright folks, the fighters are introduced, the stakes are set!" Syx calls out over the two, "It's Sunday Night, and you know what that means! Get it on!"

Syx settles back down with Bobson, ready to call the action once the action actually begins.

    Wisteria smiles and when the 'Get it on!' is declared she moves, striking like a serpent, her blade snapping out, black and green energies running along it and snapping out to try and strike at her opponent.

    And it begins. Wisteria comes rushing forward, and the warhorse makes sure to bring up their secondary weapon to deflect the venmous blade, but it still gets a scrape in, poision debuff popping up a moment later. With a grunt, Arashi uses the momentum of their deflect to bring Starshadow around for a swipe, a spin of the blade, and then a second strike.

"And right off the bat, the two of them have really gone at it! What a clash!"

Bobson Dugnutt claps a couple of times as soon as the battle begins, "The two of them seem really evenly matched so far, Syx. It's anyone's game so far."

    Wisteria dodges back, the blade skating along her armor. Black smoke drifts back up along Arashi's blade to sink in, the curse causing disorientation and staggering with a debuff icon popping up in Arashi's view to let her know she's cursed.

    Cursed? Oh noes! Arashi frowns at the debuff, but otherwise can't really manage to dodge away, despite getting ready to do so. Bleh! However, she -does- rush in, thrusting her secondary sword first, following with Starshadow a moment later with a vicious twist added in afterward.

"Oh Wisteria gets a major debuff in on Arashi, that might slow her down!" Though his words soon ring false as Arash rishes in with a massive Starshadow strike a moment later. Bosbon chimes in afterwards. "It seems that it may not be affecting her as much as you thought. She seems to be trying to turn the curse to her advantage. But with a move like that, what else could Wisteria have up her sleeve?"

    Wisteria grins at even as she takes a hit, the hit skating along her armor even if the poison debuff settles in. Again dark smoke rises from her armor only this time it forms into black metal chains, snapping down into the ground and then into Arashi, the curse of Dark Chains Binding popping up in her status conditions.

    Her blade slashing out, the sword glowing with a melevolant black energy that slips another curse marker into the queue of effects.

    Curses curses curses. There's a lot of those rolling in, but if there's one thing Arashi is proving? It's that she's going to fight through them as best she can. Of the many stacks she has, one gets removed as the warhorse charges in with a boom of thunder emphasizing her acceleration. Again that dual-bladed weapon comes around to lash at Wist.

"A real defensive showdown on both sides, Syx." Bobson states, as he looks back and forth between the two fighters, "A real psychological slobberknocker for sure!" Syx says, "Come on you two! Knock each other senseless!" "That's not very unbiased commentary, Syx." "Hey I'm rooting for them both to beat each other up, you can't get more unbiased than that."

    Wisteria shifts, long white ears leaping from holes in her helm. A snap of thunder as she accelerates backwards, another glancing blow causes more chains of black energy to snap into the attacking horse. Her sword coming up to snap out another arcing blade of black snaps out to stack on more curses with the blade. "And they say I'm a fool building all of my armor and weapons cursed." she says with a grin full of mismatched triangular razor fangs in a cute bunny maw.

    So. Many. Curses. With an affinity for dark, this shouldn't be so bad, but it is! What is the warhorse to do? She decides to employ the ancient techniques of the Roly-Poly ancients.. and rolls the hell away. Wisteria's blade manages to barely catch her, and sets a few more stacks right back in again. How. Frustrating, but she is not about to be overwhelmed either!

"Geeze, these two are just slinging every curse in the book at each other, huh?" Syx says as he looks back and forth between the two, "Come on somebody throw a chair or something!"

Bobson frowns, "Syx sit down, the only chairs around here are the ones we're sitting in. If one of them throws one, you will have no where to sit."

    Wisteria presses the attack. Her sword snapping out in a dark arc of black energy slashing out, and then she screams. The battle cry of the Caerbannog, a disheartening sound that jangles the nerves. And then a bright flash follows blinding.

    Well, the curses are weighing her down a bit and its starting to show. Rather than defend, Arashi is going to have to gambit this time around. Rather than dodge, the warhorse takes a -heavy- step forward, having to endure Wisteria's onslaught, before launching her own. For a brief moment Arashi vanishes from sight, only to reappear above, spinning down in a flurry of slashes from both her blades, landing with an equally heavy step just after. Don't lose your footing...

    Wisteria snaps backwards the slashes clanging off armor, each hit adding smoke to the air, some of it sinking in some if it snapping into dark metal chains. Then her black blade snaps out in another arc of cursing steel.

    Frustrated is something Arashi doesn't usually become. Typically the warhorse is rather level headed. As of now, Arashi is frustrated, and it shows in her sudden, rapid movements as she goes on the offensive. The steed's movements are fast. Super sonic, even, and she uses that to her advantage as she brings down a trio of brutal blows, all the while her steps shaking the ground every time a hoof makes contact with the ground. It is a massive assault aimed Wisteria's way, curses be damned!

    A long, hard, (but entertaining!) match has gone for quite some time! Arashi has suffered debuffs, curses, and mental attacks while she has replied with brutal assaults, lightning fast dodges, and the occasional ground-shaking stomp. It is a specticle to be sure, but as the night presses on, Arashi seizes a moment and lunges forward with Starshadow in another vicious, twisting stab.

    Wisteria continues on, every hit against her seems to stack on more chains of dark cursed energy, then her slashes add on more stacks of curse making Arashi's vision and balance suffer. While dodging and snapping in high speed, the occaisional scream of the Caerbannog heard and rattlign the nerves of the crowd. And then that last hit comes in, her curses not having managed to drain the horse before the horse could cut down the bun. She drops to a knee as her hitpoints bottom out and the duel announcement flashes.

"What a fight!" Syx calls out to anyone who's listening, as he jumps out of his seat, "This is going crazy! These two are just slugging it out!" Even Bobson is up on his feet as the fight gets towards the end. When Wisteria's health finally drops into the red, the big "WINNER!" pops up above Arashi's head as the duel ends, "And we have a winner! Arashi takes home the win, and she's moving on to the next round!"
