Beneath The (Dome Of) Stars

Kauchemar made herself comfortable in a spot outside the Dome of Stars, lute resting partially in her lap as her fingers ran across the strings. Music trickled from the instrument, though nothing of any certain song. It was just what came to the Bard's whim and brought to being between her fingertips and the frets. This was a sort of meditation for her, clearing her mind of the random this and thats by putting them out to air, so she could focus on other more important things. The last thing she needed was going into a tournament fight with clouded thoughts.

Erufu has been back in the homeland for a bit, supplies, checking up on things. Making sure the Green Dragon Inn does not burn down. That sort of thing. She had also been looking for Kauchemar as well. She had things to talk to the dark bard about. She's in a very good mood as she comes up on her and quietly calls out.

"I don't mean to intrude but I have a project you might be interested in!"

By now word has spread she's fighting in the Semifinals for the tournament, so it's not hard to find the Nightmare Bard around Eas. Especially not when one can follow the simple yet catchy tune. With ears as sharp as those it's likely she heard the approach of another, but kept going until she was actually addressed. That's when she pauses, letting the final chords drift into the air, and looked up from the instrument. "Well, I make no promises while the Tournament is in action." The lute is left to rest in her lap, neck in the crook of one arm. "But you have my curiousity."

Erufu ears wiggle, she's clearly pretty excited about this idea. "I was travelling a bit listening some talk at a tavern by some of the locals. They were telling about the local heroes of the land if you will. Something got stuck in my head from that song and now I have an idea. I want to travel Yamato and collect as many stories as I can and try to wave them into song. I can't use all of them but I think being able to make a song for people of Yamato about their own heroes would be something good for everyone."

Kauchemar ahs. Gives a few strings an idle pluck, as if double checking that they are in tune. "You may not be a Bard in class, but you have the right notion of what one does. Stories in performance both to preserve the tales, and inspire others with them."

Erufu says "Song has always been imporant to me since I was little." She seems to be humming part of a song. "It's going to take time I'm going to have to learn the stories find the common threatd and take the best to put into song. I have to do this as strongly as Goblin Slayer purges goblins."

"Sounds like you have plenty of motivation already." Kauchemar pauses to puff out a brief and shake her head to flick most of her bangs out of her face. So she can look at the elf directly. Her eyes glimmer with a mix of amusement and potential mischief. "So what do you seek me out for?" She twirls a hand off to the side in a vage jesture of process contemplation. "I mean, I knew you were coming, but divining the future isn't so great at seeing the intentions behind it."

Erufu says "I do but I'm going to need help with this. I don't think I can do it alone..." She seem to have enough presence of mind to get how consuming this project is going to be. It may be a strange mood or a borderline one. "So if your in on it I'd like to have some help when you are able!"

"Oh." The revelation seems to hit the Were Fang after a moment. "Ooooooh. It's going to be one of -those-." She leans back against the wall, readjusting her instrument in her arms. "It would seem then the Fates have already smiled upon you my friend, ensuring a collaberation would be possible." Fingers stroke lazily, or mayhaps thoughtfully would be more appropriate, across the strings again. "Ah, to be the muse rather than the musician. That is certainly a change of pace." She tickles the strings once more. "My options are somewhat limited as long the tournament keeps me here in Eas. But afterwards, yes, this show can get back on the road." Her eyes glimmer again, perhaps once more glancing ahead, or maybe even back. "In the meantime, you shall have to find the others willing to assist. You are correct in this being a task not to be undertaken alone."

Erufu says "I think its going to be one of those, yes. So that's why I'm aking fo rhelp. Well the tournament wont' last forever and I need to collect things across Yaamto for this!" She sem eager na the thne think for a moment. She makes sure Kau has a friend invite an then looks around. "I think I should get to work now there's so much to do."

"Smart girl, making the connections while she still has a properly clear head." Kauchemar accepts the invite on her HUD when it pops up, then settles back into her comfortable position. "Everything in due time."
