NWA In the Library with the Tea.

Rizadoman
Castle Eas - Library of the Valiant

Given the activites in the village of Eas one might expect the castle to be similarly a lot of hustle and bustle, however there is one corner of the castle that has remained quiet. That is the holiest of sanctums , the library. Rizadoman is currently here sipping tea as he ponders every now and then and makes some disgruntled noise and then goes back to long silence. If it wasn't for his efforts to increase his control of fire, his tea would have gone cold. However he wasn't just here to ponder things, he was waiting, waiting for others so that he could share his ponders and disgruntlements. Discussion had to be had.
Shiruba

Shiruba had mainly ventured out to Eas so she could support her friends and guildmates in the tournament. But Rizadoman wanted to talk, and as she was conveniently here it was as good of time as any. Though after stepping into the library she pauses a moment, tilting her head as if sniffing the air as canines are wont to do. "The smell of musty old books is so much better than the smell of filthy sweaty orcs."
Giganpor
Castle Eas - Library of the Valiant

Giganpor had taken to using one of the meeting rooms as a pretty much 'neutral ground' thanks to some agreement or another with Eas that he had. There was something definitely there whenever the 'Moods' happened to extend to Negotiations. This had lead to one of the breaks having Giganpor come out of the negotiation room and head for the Library for some peace and quiet, plus a good deal of research. It was enough that he was starting to get irritated, and that showed whenever he was in his Were-Fang form rather than human one, too. And his armor. Seriously, it was tough being a negotiator! Which coincidently had lead him to near where the other two were at, and he had grabbed a book to plop down. "Blasted noble... what treaty of high water protection act number fifty seven?" He grumbles, looking at the two after a moment, "Sorry... uh... you wanted to talk, Rizadoman?"

Rizadoman looks up at the sound of Shiruba's voice, bringing him back to reality, " Yes I would agree. Goblins too. It is why I am here today, seeking the comfort of the many friends one tends to have in the library. Feel free to have a seat we are waiting on Giganpor..." The lizardman trails off as he sees the Lion Knight, " Speak of the beast and he shall appear. " Motioning for them both to sit he looks back at his own tea and stirs it idly for a talon for a moment before he takes another sip. " As a hatchling, I was told I was very good at turning innocent garden snakes into vipers. I am seeking council to make sure I am not making things into viper. A lot has gone on and I feel like just acting on my own could lead to trouble. So with that said I suppose I should start with the easy one, what is your opinion of the palace land and its people? "
Shiruba

Shiruba raises a brow at the weird idiom Riza uses. It takes her a few moments to parse it. "... Oh." She takes a seat, and helps herself to some tea. "You're right about a lot having happened as of late, even without a Calamity or the otherworlders crashing down on top of us." She pauses to take a sip. "To be fair my opinion is biased just in having an entirely new area to explore. But they seem to have done well for themselves, Adventurers and Landers alike, even with all the high level threats surrounding them out here.... I guess to a lot of our kind a high level threat is more of a challenge than a fear, really."
Giganpor

Giganpor looks thoughtful of the question, actually closing his book. "... for once, I am going to be completely and utterly honest. No schemes, no attempts to negotiate, no mysteries."

He looks between the two, and looks very thoughtful. "They scare me. It's why I'm trying to do this, so that on some level we have a supply chain when and if things go bad there."
Rizadoman

Rizadoman nods his head, "This is why I asked the opinion of you both. I feel that I can see both sides of the coin and I am not sure which one I want to believe more. " Setting his key down he picks up a near by book, fortunately its a library and a lot are just lying about. " On the cover it all seems nice, but do I dare read past the first few chapters where the nice stop. " Taking a moment he returns the book to where he found it and then says, " So I do not think everyone made it to Naval Monte, but the queen there was an undine that could have wiped out the welcoming party herself. The adventurers I found there and spoke to all seemed to admire her. However, something both rulers said comes to mind, neither wanted their cultures impacted. On the surface that seems fine, but between the lack of adventurer presence overall and the presence of both rulers, I feel compelled to question the ccover of the book.:"
Shiruba

Shiruba tries to hold back a sigh at Giganpor's response. Though even her own outlook can't really argue with it. "I certainly hope there won't be a 'when'... But I'm also the one that keeps saying we need to prepare for the worst even when hoping for the best, so the precaution is not misplaced." Ponytail sways with the motion as Shiruba tilts her head a bit at Rizadoman. "How so? Considering we've had discussions ourselves about not overwhelming the Landers' cultures and society with recreating familiar comforts."
Giganpor

Giganpor looks thoughtful as he looks at the book in hand, flipping through it slowly. "It's... not quite that simple any more, now that I think about it at all. Our collective Guilds are doing their best not to. But Olympus and Scale Emblem? Nothing is holding them back as much. With what we do know, I want to see their societies preserve, really. If we do get out of here, I'd rather have some place we can say 'hey, go check this place out' because it's cool and interesting, not because it's the last of it's kind."

He rubs his chin, looking thoughtful, "Naval treaty..." Oh, that's from the book he's looking at. And reading a bit. He's obviously still listening, "... the part of me that loved exploring the dungeons, raids, and all is excited for the new lands, however, even if a lot of it... worries me. Some part of me makes me want to make sure the Scale doesn't go near their eastern areas, for example, with the encounter we had with Enja and what I was told of the strange sword monster and other encounters along the road. Part of what Potimas told us was that there is rumors of a Spider God there, and well... if they are considering that a literal deity..."

Rizadoman smiles and points to Shiruba, " Exaclty why I wanted to talk to someone else. Until you said that I had been thinking it was strange they both used almost the exact same phrase. However you are correct, we tell our own alliance members the same thing. Listening to us on that matter is another issue altogether. " He chuckles and lets himself take solace in that note from Shiruba, " I still feel like we are missing a puzzle piece about what is happening there though. I am hoping the next few kingdoms we visit may help fill in those pieces."

Taking another sip of his tea he listens carefullyo what Giganpor has to add and ponders if for a moment. " Hmm so perhaps what I am hearing is that we need to move forward to help protect these kingdoms culture. At the same time we should approach them with a help scoop of caution. With that all said, then perhaps the next step is to seek an audience with the leadership and inform them of what has happened to these lands in this last year. Let them decide if we are the dangerous ones. "
Shiruba

"Not that I mean we should dismiss their concern of course. Mayhaps just by context it did not strike me as so odd, having said similar things before. But remember we come from a different land, and different cultures. There are things that will seem odd to us no matter." Shiruba pauses for a long sip of coffee. "Oh, there is definitely a bigger picture we are not entirely seeing yet. But as any explorer will tell you, that's all the more reason to keep venturing forth, looking for those missing pieces. No mystery solves itself."
Giganpor

Giganpor sighs as he reads his book, "Oh, there's that thing..." He looks over at the two, "Well..."

He sighs, looking considerate, "I do admit we should explore more of these lands. To discover what is happening there, and why. Unlike here, however, we need to be more careful of it. Especially on who we bring along and how. Prophylaxis, for example, has shown a lack of decorum that I worry will end up with some serious repercussions for all of us, not just the Scale."

Looking over the pages carefully in the book in hand, Giganpor seems to go thoughtful, "Otherwise, the most we can do is prepare and hope that the other two Alliances don't ruin it. If anything, I think eventually we may be kicked out of their respective lands and cities before it is all said and done."

Rizadoman nods his head as he finds his answers he was considering in regards to the Palace Lands. " Well I do appreciate you both coming and letting me hear some other opinion besides my own voice. I think you are both right in the matter that I am trying to find something wrong when their is enough problems already. " Taking a deep breath he considers the other problems. " Another day, another time perhaps we should talk about these other problems. I feel soon though we are going to have to start resolving problems or they may get out of hand. "
Shiruba

Shiruba sits up, sets her tea down, and reachs over to put a hand reassuringly on Rizadoman's arm. "After all we've already dealt with, it's easy to feel like there's always going to be another problem just around the next corner. A healthy amount of concern isn't a bad thing! But we don't need to start jumping at shadows."
Giganpor

Giganpor sighs, "She is right. A part of it is that we can't lose ourselves to those dangers. I mean, it happened with me and I'm still waiting on my replacement."

He shrugs, "Sometimes our best options are to take it as we can and just be as prepared as we can be, Rizadoman. In the end, it's about how much we and our friends and allies can grow more than anything else."
Rizadoman

Rizadoman nods his head as he listens to the advice around. " Yes you are both right. " Setting his tea down he stands and motions tothe door, " With my concerns alleviated I feel I must repay this with proper spirits. Please accompany me to the village where I can repy you both for your kindness."At the moment it is hard to say if he will get them both to come but it seems the best way to thank them both r the serious conversation.

Shiruba retrieves her cup to finish her tea, then sets it aside again and gets up, tail wagging a bit with her mood. "Sure thing! I need to head back into the village as is, so I can go to the arena when it's time for Arashi and Mikage's match."
Giganpor

Giganpor huhs, then looks considerate. "I... guess I can take a little break... they did say they were done for the day..." He seems hesitant to leave his research, which is literally chained to the shelves here.
