Duty Session 368: Still Tide Pirate Lair

Through the efforts of many Adventurers, the home base of the infamous pirates that have plagued the waters around Yamato has finally been tracked down. Initial scouting reports tell that the Pirate Lair is largely run by humanoid monsters of all sorts, relishing in the spoils of their plunder.

As a known Monster Nest, the Hunters Guild is looking for brave souls who would be willing to help clear out some of the monsters in hopes that it will start to diminish some of the pirate activity that comes from the location.

Difficulty:    Moderate
Rec. Party:    3+
Rewards:       2
World Rewards: Reduction in pirate activity in Yamato.

Uta
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

After many infiltration attempts, some more successful than others, the Adventurers of the Hunters Guild have pieced together enough information to discover the whereabouts of the now infamous group known as the Still Water Pirates.

It has led them to the far side of the Isle of Beginnings, where a rocky outcropping looks out over the raging seas below. Water crashes against jutting rocks, the ocean a tumult of white-capped waves. Somewhere below, there is a hidden cavern which the Pirates have claimed as their lair.

The Adventurers gather high on the cliffs, scouting the way down along the rocks in advance of their attack.

It has somehow fallen on Uta to lead the party today, and here she is, staff firmly planted on the ground, hand shielding her eyes, hair and clothes fluttering dramatically in the breeze while her wings, spread dramatically behind her, adds extra dramaticity to the dramatic fluttering.

She would project kind of a cool and hardcore aura, were not for the short line of slimes wobbling happily behind her, with beady eyes, bulbous smiles, and rosy cheek blush marks.
Goldenblade
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Goldenblade has arrived for the quest despite the frantic effort she's putting into a bunch of projects. Uta has certainly seen her supervising the construction aroud Eas Village, and filling in on a bunch of other things besides, but she's also working on training her kite-tanking skills also. Well, sort of kite-tanking. It's kind of just running away, but with a plan. So, it's kind of just running away. But she's followed Uta here, and is ready to take on the pirates. "Let's do this," she says.
Shiruba
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Shiruba does a lot of work with the Hunter's Guild, but this is also a matter for her Alliance. Pirate clans getting too strong would be a big problem for trying to establish trade routes with the Palace Lands as well as other nations. So she's here to do her duty as Silver Sword leader and capsize this problem before it becomes bigger.

Still she's not so serious she doesn't snicker a bit at Uta's progression. "I see you brought more friends with you this time."
Merek
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Merek will be along with the party to assist, taking the time to check on his gear while he walks with the party.
Nariko
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Pirates! Content! Loot! These are things Nariko appears for. Mostly content, though! Folks will get a polite wave, but she's business at the moment.
Mizuki
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

For PIRATE-THEMED ADVENTURE, Mizuki's equipped her PIRATE ARMOR (it's a little more water-resistant, in the practical sense if not the elemental sense): This armor set is a mix of fantasy and history; Most immediately eyecatching are the black hat with a feather plume that seems to be somewhere between a cavalier hat and a tricorner hat, and the blue cloak. Under the cloak is a realistic buff coat with a red sash around the waist. Two shoulder belts cross over her chest, with pouches for holding things and sheathed daggers. A pair of black trousers complete the outfit. Lastly, boots (hidden in were form) complete the set bonus.

She's happy to see familiar faces, smiling at everyone but Nariko and giving Kaydon a surprised "Wow, I haven't seen you in a LONG time, how've you been?"

Of course, she smiles at Nariko too, but for a different reason. She gasps, eyes bright, and stares open-mouthed for a second before pointing and calling out, "Another tiger! I didn't know there were any others! Who are you where have you been I'm Mizuki I'm with the knights does being a cat make you sleep a lot too isn't it neat how we can see in the dark and smell and stuff it's been so crazy but also cool!"
Nariko
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Oh hey. She's popular! Well, kinda. One tiger to another, Nariko even seems a little surprised. "Oh, hey! I've been in Aincrad a loooot lately, but Sleeping Knights otherwise, no I don't sleep a lot, yes, also yes, it's crazy." That's a lot of questions really quick. At least they're answered.
Uta
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

"Indeed I have," Uta replies to Shiruba. "I brought you all! My Adventurer friends I have shared countless adventures with and- oh, hey, do I know you?", Uta asks Naniko. "Uta Furore, Aerialist, Musical Kung-Fu Nurse," she introduces herself. "You may wonder why I have you gathered you all here. Well, for one- OH MY GOODNESS TWO CATGIRLS IN MY PARTY!", Uta utters in shock, even taking her hands to her cheek. Turning around and pacing around in panic, she rambles, "I am turning into a crazy catgirl lady!"

The slimes wobble after her as she walk around, kinda like ducklings, making the whole Uta-slimes system resemble some sort of blobby idle spinner.

The path towards the Pirates' lair leads the Adventurers down a precarious bit of rock and stone that weaves along the steep edge of the cliff face. Eventually, they reach a point along the path where a larger ledge can support them all, gathered together.

There is a large amount of scraped rock here, as if things were moved from somewhere within. However, there doesn't seem to be any obvious opening in the rocks. There is the more direct route, which continues downward into the caves below, but there has to be something hidden here, right?
Merek
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Merek walks along and with the party while he will nod a little bit along to a place that looks like it might perhaps be a path.
Nariko
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Content started! Other tiger will have to wait for any other questions to get answered. Once Uta ... well after notices there's two tigers, Nariko just gives it a shrug and marches onward. If there's searching to be done? Eeeh, she's a bit distracted to do all that. Slimes? Slimes. Many slimes. "Er.." she is not familiar with Uta's slime science. "Are those .. safe?"
Goldenblade
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Goldenblade is not the one to have searching for hidden paths. In her view, any paths that aren't paved should at least be in the architectural drawings, and if it's not paved or on the drawings, it doesn't exist. So, for her, any particular paths that are hidden are ... hidden. But she will follow whichever way the party leads her. She hits things, this is her job. Or builds things. Thinking or finding are not job skills she has.
Kaydon
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Kaydon, being who he is, gives Mizuki a nod, "I am doing well, I have just been busy with.." He muses for a second to try to think of the right term, "A research project."

He glances over at Uta, "Aren't you already a crazy slime lady? Do you have room to be a crazy catgirl lady as well?"
Shiruba
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Shiruba gets into the hunter mindset, which has her down on the ground in short order, inspecting the dirt and the rocks. "Lots of dislodged sediment and scrapping on the stones. People have been through here many times, carrying heavy things." The wolfgirl stands up again to look around. "Probably their supply chain, using some of their ill-gotten loot to buy supplies and such....But where are they going with them... hmmmm..." There has to be something here, but it is very well hidden, even from her sharp senses. "We are definitely close to one of their camps either way."
Mizuki
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

OH MY GOODNESS TWO CATGIRLS IN MY PARTY!

Mizuki's ears blush at the exclamation, and then as Uta declares herself a crazy catgirl lady she can't help but laugh joyously, running over to offer a hopefully-comforting hug. "Aww, it's probably not so bad! It's even better than being a crazy cat lady, because when you talk to your cats we can talk back!"

Once that silliness is done with, she sets to work searching for the pirate lair. Last time it was the others that found it, but surely her nose must be good for something? She sniffs along the cliff face. "Maybe the sea air is too strong... all I can smell is salt..." *snf? Snf-snf. Snffffffff!* "Wait, I think I'm getting something! Kind of a dank cave smell. It's around here somwehere!"
Uta
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

"As long as you don't touch them, or are a trained Monster Handler, mostly!", Uta replies to Nariko with a huge smile. At Kaydon's comment, the Spriggan starts counting on her fingers, "Uta Furore, Aerialist, Musical Kung-Fu Nurse, Queen of Slimes, Purveyor of Lore, Hunter of Songs, Unwilling Fashion Model, Paragon of Product Placement, Encyclopedia Curator, Crack Linguist... My titles have gotten so out of hand that I would probably even notice if an extra one snuck in."

Uta stiffens and looks surprised at the hug, but it's the normal reaction of your average Japanese. They aren't big on random hugs out of the blue, after all. And she relaxes soon after.

The party /almost/ gets where they need to go to... but not quite. Instead, they end up in a different place.

For some, it would be a familiar site on the edge of the pirate encampment. Many of those who used to be part of the Still Water Bandits have found their way here, though it appears that most of the standard Lander races are treated as second-class citizens here.

The Landers live in run down hovels, their clothing filthy and their expressions bleak. The monsters who run the group seem to have truly beaten down their spirits over time. So much so that they barely even acknowledge the Adventurers in their midsts.

A few rise up, but it's clear that they don't really want trouble. It seems easy enough to bribe them to let the party pass.
Nariko
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Huhs. OK. Safe Slimes. At least they are kinda cute? Right? Maybe? Shrug. Oh hey more pirates. There's a cup of .. something over there that she nabs to try and offer. ... It just has water in it. "... At least it isn't milk?" Fail.
Shiruba
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

"You're going to have to write a song to keep track of all those titles.... I think I'll stick to just Guild Moderator and Storm Warden." But there's no time for chit chat when they meander into a Lander hovel. "Huh. Not.. exactly pirates." Shiruba digs into her pockets for some spare coin... but one bribe gets a few to leave and several more to gravitate towards the group, exactly the opposite the response she wanted. "Ugh, I not a Trade Baron, I don't have enough handouts for the whole damn settlement."
Mizuki
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

"Last time we got lost in the caves and ended up fighting sahuagin." Mizuki comments. "Hopefully this time we can find the--"

They walk into view of the pirate camp. Mizuki stares. "It was OUT HERE THE WHOLE TIME?!" She facepalms.

And then she sees the nearer tents, and the state of the landers... slaves kept by the pirates? And concern fills her face. She hurries over to pat one on the shoulder and says, seriously, "Don't worry. We'll kill those nasty pirates and then you'll be free and they'll never bother you again." Well, until they respawn. "We can lead you back to town on the way home, okay?" She offers some fresh water from her waterskin.
Kaydon
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

"I don't have any titles." Kaydon says, almost proud of the fact, "I'm just me. Doing what I do."

He wants to hand out some ale to the Landers, try to lift their spirits a bit. But his drinking horn appears to be empty. He grumbles a little bit. At least Mizuki seems to have the right idea, when it comes to helping them out. Giving them a little bit of drink now is nothing compared to wiping out the pirates causing this in the first place.
Goldenblade
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Goldenblade stands in the face of halfhearted opposition, then notices how halfhearted it is. Blinking, on guard, she says, "Well, if you don't want to fight, and we don't want to fight, let's not fight. I've got some nice ... uh ... collectable pretty things, I'm sure you'd like much better than a sword in your guts?"

The Landers cautiously admit that they're not keen on swords in the guts, and Goldenblade shows her awesome negotiation skills like that.
Merek
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Merek will take the time to look about, and nods while he begins to negotiate with the people, "Alright, if you assist, we will assist!"
Uta
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Uta taps her chin at Shiruba's suggestion. "Might do exactly that... I mean, I don't have anything better to do at the moment, so- wait, no. I need to negotiate with the folks, here. So-" She turns around, and blinks. "Hey, there's slimes!"

And off she goes chasing her own slimes.

The outer ring of run-down hovels and tens gives way to a finer structure. Made of wood and metal, an imposing fort has been built upon the edge of the water, the timbers rising high into the darkness of the cave. Fires are lit at the ramparts, casting shadows on those approaching below.

At the entrance to the fort, there are a series of humanoid monsters of various sorts. Lizardmen, Gnolls and Kobolds are most common, with a few Gargoyle-like creatures which have perched on the higher places of the fort's entrance.

As soon as the Adventurers approach, they spring to action, brandishing not only their claws, but finely made weapons and armor. The monsters are clearly running the show, here, and they have the supplies to make sure their lair is well defended.
Nariko
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Oh. Hey. They're kinda.. attacking. So much for bribes! "Ack!" Fists up, punches thrown, "Did this place level up or something what the heck!" Yep. It did. This isn't the former one, now is it? FAIL.
Merek
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Merek looks to the guardians, while he takes an explosive potion and will throw that into the monsters, while he nods a little.
Shiruba
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Well this Duty is off to a stellar start. Moving on! Thankfully there's enough negotiation (or intimidation, thank you Goldenblade) going on that Shiruba doesn't have to completely empty her proverbial pockets.

At least they found the gates to the lair. And it's guardians. Something a little more up her alley. Shiruba immeadiately as her magic longbow in hand, firing off alternating shots of lightning, icicles, and even an actual arrow here and there to take down as many of the combatants as she can. Though their numbers are putting even her superior DPS to the test.
Mizuki
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Mizuki's ears splay as Uta... mistakes her already-tamed slimes for wild ones and goes to 'catch' them. That *is* worrying behavior...

But more pressing is the monsters! Mizuki shivers at the memory of *gnolls*. Why are they all the way out here, weren't they near Alne? "Uta! Your slimes can attack, right?" she calls out, before spitting a fireball at the monsters... and seeing that it doesn't do quite as much damage to these armored, leveled monsters as she hoped! She tries to sneak around and back attack them, but there are just too many, forcing her into a less advantageous position. She covers herself in ice armor to try and fend off the mob, but she can't recast it as fast as she's taking damage... she lashes out with fire breath, dagger sword artes, claws, and teeth, but by the end of the fight she's covered in glowing red scratches.

"Ugh... I guess as a ninja, pirates are my natural enemy..."
Goldenblade
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Goldenblade approaches the fort, and there are the defenders, right on cue. Monsters are much fiercer than the halfhearted Landers, and Goldenblade responds with Fire when just stabbing them doesn't work fast enough. But fire's not super effective on the soggy monsters, and she ends up in a frantic, knock-down-drag-out fight. Well, she was here to practice kiting, looks like she's getting all the practice she can stand!
Kaydon
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

It's clear by now that Kaydon is getting frustrated. He has a very specific build, and this dungeon is clearly not designed for it. He clearly had no idea what they would be facing off against, and that this would be much more along the lines of some of the previous Still Tide Pirate fights. At least whoever is handling healing seems to be keeping the party alive. He'll have to give them props for that.
Uta
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Uta slams her staff on the ground, and begins to intone an ominous chant. Tendrils of darkness dance and twirl on the handle of her magical item, in sync with the pitch and tempo of the song, and soon envelope her. Shrouded by a veil of obscurity, she can waft unseen across the field, confident she'll avoid enemy weapons like a-

"Yes! They totally can! Do you want me to-"* SLASH *

Whoops. Seems like that yelling back at Mizuki gave Uta away.

That, and, possibly, the line of slimes trailing behind her.

The outer guardians of the fort are numerous and take quite a while to fight through, but eventually the Adventurers find themselves inside those outer gates, working their way through the inner hallways of the fort itself.

One of the larger rooms that they encounter is certainly strange. There are fine murals painted on the walls by hands that seem too skilled to be those of many of the monsters who now call this place their 'home'. Depicted on the mural is a massive sea creature which looms out of the water, attacking nearby ships.

At the center of the room is a deep pool of water that seems to be somehow connected to the lake outside. Throughout the room,

there are bits and pieces of writing, but they are hard to see in the dim light. There are strange markings around what must be a door that leads onward into the heart of the fort.
Mizuki
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Mizuki drinks some potions to get her health back up. Looking like the cat dragged herself in, she follows the party... and gasps at the sight of the murals. "That's the big sea monster we fought inside! It's got to be!" She conjures up some flame in her hand to use as a light to see better by. "What does this say...? Hmmmmm...." She dismisses the flame, gets out writing tools and paper, and starts copying the inscription down.
Nariko
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Hey. Dim light. Cats can see really well in dim light, yeah? That's why when the group wanders in, Nariko's quick to looking around. ... " A little more light wouldn't hurt, right?" Hand up ..... nothing happens. ... Glare. ... "Who broke RNGesus? hell.."
Shiruba
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Finally, they manage to make it through the guardian horde and into the lair. And what looks like one of their meeting rooms. Weird. That pool is oddly placed, but Shiruba's attention is drawn to the door and it's cryptic markings. She strolls over, takes a look... and scratchs her head. "The hell... usually I can make runes out pretty easily, but these are written in an entirely different cipher than I've ever seen before." It's probably intentionally meant to frustration sorcerors and archeologists getting a little too cocky in their abilities.
Goldenblade
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Goldenblade's mind must be elsewhere today. It seems like everyone's is. It's the kind of day where you drop a load of bricks on your foot, but forgot your steel toed boots at home. The figuring out of puzzles is not her forte, and she will take a look at some of the weird writings, then shrug and wander around.
Kaydon
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Puzzles has never been Kaydon's strong suit in the first place. Usually it's just fighting but then the fights they've had have proven to be too tough for something with melee. It's been freaking ridiculous.

Kaydon punches one of the walls with enough force to crack it, clearly his frustration reaching a boiling point.
Merek
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Merek will take the time to assist the party with that cryptography, and manages to at least assist a little bit. The knight knows what he's doing at least, though it doesn't look like there is a lot of success generally.
Uta
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

"Hmm... let me see... these runes mean..." Uta runs her finger along the wall. "Wet... Paint..."

Stop. Blink. Pull up finger. Wince.

As the party finally works out the way beyond the strange doorway, they find that it opens upon lavish chambers. There is a fine rug beneath their feet and the spoils from many raids upon lander villages and ships displayed upon shelves and along the walls. Many stone pools make up parts of the chamber, as if it, too, were connected to the lake, somehow.

There, sitting upon a throne, looking at them with fingers folded, is the Pirate King. He is dressed in fine armor, with a wicked set of scimitars across his back. His face is elongated, looking like some sort of reptilian creature, but none that are easily identifiable.

"You've caused me enough trouble. I suppose I should handle you, myself." He rises, drawing his blades, his movements remarkably fast as he initiates combat with the party.
Shiruba
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Oh look, big bad pirate in charge. Being all speeching about how they've been a bother. Her response is to the point.

"Kiss my fluffy ass."

Following by a full charged flurry of electrified ice arrows from her bow. After everything else they've strugged through, Shiruba is having none of this asshole's attitude.
Goldenblade
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Goldenblade has had an absolutely gruelling run through this adventure, is low on HP, did poorly with her training, and really has no interest in being patient or understanding. What she does have an interest in is vanishing like a ninja and stabbing the bad guy in his back just as hard as she can manage, then disappearing like the mist when he turns to confront her.

This is a plan that at least seems to work for her, like so much else hasn't today, so she runs with that plan, stabbing the pirate repeatedly when she has the opportunity to shiv him in the back.
Nariko
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Boss? Boss. Good! Time to vent some pent up frustration. There's an attempt to lash out with a potent kicking strike but, well... it doesn't go quite as planned. Why? An obligatory rat gets under her foot placement and .. well .. *THUD* .. Ceiling is certainly up there.. Huff. "I quit."
Mizuki
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

"Wet paint? Wait..." Mizuki frowns, and looks at where Uta's reading, and at her notes.

Finally they get inside. She points dramatically: "Alright, K. Rool! Your reign of terror ends now!"

With one opponent instead of many, she's able to find her groove. Tactics that slipped her mind when she got overwhelmed before surface in her mind. She summons up waves of water to help her dodge attacks and simultaneously leave a slippery ice hazard for the pirate king. She casts Frost Bolt before leaping in to backstab, taking advantage of the long animation of several ice spikes conjuring and flying at him before the spell's damage actually hits to pile on more damage before drawing aggro, then retreating to the back line and spitting firebolts and throwing kunai. Finally, it all comes together!
Kaydon
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

"No shut the FUCK up!" Kaydon actually cuts off the Pirate King when he starts going into his monologue, "I have had enough of this bullshit tonight. Now just stand there like a good fucking NPC and let me stab you to death."

Normally Kaydon's attitude is, well..More controlled than that. It's clear he has been frustrated to no end by the goings on of this particular dungeon run. He is finally able to vent his frustrations a bit as he leaps onto the Pirate King and starts to stab him repeatedly with the blade hidden in his gauntlet. Kaydon doesn't even seem to be focused on dodging mechanics, just chasing the pirate down and beating the shit out of him.

Healers adjust.
Merek
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Merek will take the time to swing into the pirate king and looks to manage to be doing well enough. Though, with the other challenges all taking up a lot of their work, it doesn't look like they're successful with that posting.
Uta
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Uta spins her staff. "We have had enough of your nonsense, Pirate King! I will let you know that I have not come alone! My slimes will defend me to their very death! For I, Uta Furore- hey! HEY! Where are you going you cowards? Come back here!", Uta yells, turning and jabbing her finger towards her feet. To no avail.

The Pirate King is no easy encounter. Even without support from his allies, he makes for a fearsome foe. The twin scimitars allow for intense and damaging area attacks, and his quick movement means that it is difficult for the Adventurers to land solid blows to take down his multiple health bars.

It seems as if the battle is lost even from the beginning. Reaching for a potion, he manages to apply a poison effect to all

of them, slowing them and reducing their health, allowing him more opportunities to strike. In the end, when their health is faltering into the red zone, the Pirate King laughs.

"Get them out of here."

With that, giant tentacles reach up out of the pools, grab the Adventurers, and chuck them unceremoniously back out into the sea. Before swimming to the surface, they just might catch sight of what looks to be a giant squid, swimming away back into the darkness of the ocean below.
Shiruba
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Shiruba is unloading shot after shot after shot, but the captain has the endurance of an ironside. Then he calls his 'pet' onto the scene. Which starts grabbing with tentacles. "What the HELL are you, come kind of HENTAI PIRATE?!" is all she gets out before she was snatched and flung out of the camp.

Eventually she sloshes back to shore, having at least been able to use her bubble barrier to keep from drowning. "Stupid pirates."
Nariko
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

And now. The yeet. Nariko doesn't even really resist it. "Yup.. yup... now for the shame ejection," she grumbles before being flung out into the sea by a squid. Kraken? Whatever. She's .. floating there. "Well. That sucked. .... Gonna have to try again sometime." At least she hasn't decided to avoid it forever.
Kaydon
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Kaydon's attacks are doing the best he can, but clearly he's not paying attention to mechanics, at least not until he gets grabbed, "I'll be back! Fuck you!" He yells at the pirate king as he gets thrown into the sea. He's clearly a very unhappy camper.
Goldenblade
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Goldenblade is ejected from the duty, which is a shame because she was hitting pretty well at the end. On the other hand, ejected is better than dead. She picks herself up and looks around for her swords. She inspects them, sheaths them, and looks around. "Are we at least all OK?" she asks.
Mizuki
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

Well. It seemed like it *should* have been a manageable fight. But between low health going in and that poison debuff, it seems they're just not able to pass the DPS check before their health drops. They have to consider running... but it seems the developers have programmed this encounter NOT to end in death.

It would be more of a relief if it didn't involve being grabbed by a giant tentacle eww eww eww eww eww oh fudge it THREW her?! "Aaaaaah!" Although, one last amusing thought manages to surface, trying to deal with the crushing defeat with memes and references:

"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off agaaaaaaain!"

    *SPLOOSH*

And then she can't think of anything but desperately swimming to shore, finally collapsing on the sand in exhaustion looking like a drowned rat.

Is she at least OK? "Well, I'm alive... I guess we need a better plan of attack next time..." She gasps at a realization, paws covering her muzzle. "Oh no! The landers, I promised we'd free them!" But, she's too tired to fully feel the weight of breaking her word right now...
Uta
Yamato - 13 - -1 - 0

HP bar dangerously close to zero, not exactly thinking straight, Uta's zooming through the air gives her a momentary sense of exilaration. "I am flying!", she exclaims, semi-drunkedly as her eyes wobble in and out of focus. "I am finally flying! My dream has come true! This is the happiest day of my-*SPLASH*"

Gasping for air, she somehow manages to dog-paddle her way to the beach, where she drags herself to dry land and finally lies, sprawled, on the sand.

She coughs multiple times. "Water. Why does it always to be WATER?!"
